Azketa Zugarramurdi Reviews
We went to visit the caves and ate there. We didn't have a reservation, but we got a table without any problem, despite the fact that it was packed. We were served by a super attentive waitress; I don't remember her name, but she was the only young, blonde girl. The food was fantastic and the price was good. I highly recommend everything. We had squid salad, peppers stuffed with cod, turbot and sirloin, and Basque cake for dessert.
We were truly surprised by the excellent quality of the food. We had the €25 set menu and it was really good. The fish soup, cheese salad, and the grilled entrecote and baked sea bass were all delicious. For dessert, we had rice pudding and flan. The portions were excellent, and I highly recommend it.
There were eight of us for lunch, and we were very satisfied overall. We went around 1 p.m., without a reservation, to eat before visiting the caves, and we were seated without any problems on the first floor (highly recommended for the views). We ordered seven €25 set menus and one children's menu. We each ordered different things, and everything was good. We asked them to cook our meat a little longer, and they did so without any problem. If this review reaches the management, we would like them to congratulate the waitresses who were working on the first floor today, July 23rd, because they were quick, efficient, and friendly. I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant.
A restaurant with excellent, plentiful food. The dishes are well-prepared. If you're in the area, don't hesitate. It's advisable to book. The service is provided by waitresses who demonstrate professionalism and friendliness. Ample parking. There's always (almost) a noisy crowd. The restaurant's management isn't to blame.

Very tasty food: fish, meat, omelette... Quick and quality service too. Great value for money.
We came upon this restaurant by accident and were pleasantly surprised. We arrived around 2.30pm not wanting to eat much. We ordered Sopa Pescado and were presented with a turine of fish soup with a …
We ate here without a reservation, thanks to the man who seemed to be the owner welcoming us warmly. They have a set lunch menu, and everything is delicious. For our first course, we had fish soup, served in a pot, which you can have seconds of. And we did, as it was so good. For our second course, we ordered a ribeye steak with cheese sauce, which was spectacular. They have a variety of desserts. The service was excellent.
We went to visit the Zugarramurdi caves and stopped for lunch at this restaurant on the way out. The wait was about 30-40 minutes. We ordered the set menu. I ordered a goat cheese salad, which was exquisite. My partner ordered the cold cuts, and well, they left a little to be desired, although they weren't bad. We ordered a portion of croquettes, which the kitchen forgot to bring out, and they came out with the first course. Given the presentation, our expectations were low, but the products turned out to be homemade, fresh, and delicious. For our main course, we ordered the entrecote with Roquefort sauce. The meat was delicious, and the sauce was delicious and not overpowering. The desserts are homemade. We tried the curd and it was really delicious. Good value. Recommended if you're visiting the area.
The service was impeccable; the staff is very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Good value for money. We tried the lamb, which was very good, and the sirloin steak, which was incredible. The baby squid salad was also delicious. The only thing that left us a little indifferent were the desserts. Although homemade, they didn't quite live up to our expectations. However, this doesn't detract at all from the overall quality of the food. In short, a highly recommended place.
