Never fails to amaze me. I've tried several items from the menu and there hasn't been a single thing I haven't loved! The tacos are so good! The burritos are big and delicious!

Love love it! A little pricey but worth it. I love their bean and cheese burritos and the taco plates. Be sure to order ground beef if not a fan of shredded. Nachos are yummy too!

yum! i had two beef burritos w/ beans & rice. my special lady friend had an adobado taco w/ chips & salsa. the food was excellent, the staff was smiley and helpful. the men's restroom was clean. great experience overall. I will definitely return if i ever find myself in Abiline again.

We eat here all the time. It's quick, easy, cheap and best of all the best food in town. It tastes like it came from your Abuela's kitchen. The kids love it and the people who work here are awesome.

Wow! Fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. I got a california burrito and it was HUGE. My boyfriend got an enchilada place and a barbacoa burrito. Everything was out in like five mins. And it was great. Barbacoa was 10/10 and nothing was too greasy it was genuinely awesome food. Next time I'm gonna try the menudo. Someone else ordered some while we were there and it looked fantastic.

This place is consistent. The asada fries always hit. They do serve breakfast "all day". But I think after 11am they charge like +0.60$. But for those days you wake up late, I'll gladly pay the +0.60$ for good burritos. Also gotta get the fresh lemonade. I prolly eat here once a week.

My wife and I enjoyed the food here, it was quite a shock to finally eat at a Tex-mex restaurant that is actually good in Abilene. We are used to ordering a large quantity of food for the family and had we been aware of the massive portions there we would have been more cognizant of what we were ordering, however that aside the food was very good and exactly what we have been craving since we moved here. The one down side was the drive through experience. The hostess didn’t seem too friendly; no “thank you”, “have a nice day” , or anything just “here you go” and close the window. Other than that we want to thank Alfredo’s for providing quality food for a great price!

always perfect, I have never had a bad experience at either of the locations food wise or service wise. I always get the beef tacos plate and it is always perfect. My fiancé always gets the California burrito or the asada fries. I will always love this place. I am glad Abilene has SOMETHING food wise that has been around for a long time and has been good consistently. If you are not from here and want good , quick Mexican food this is the place.

This food is the best late night snack! I have not eaten it just for a meal, it never disappoints! Carne asada fries, carne asada burrito, and a ground beef tostada is what we had, we also ordered chips and queso but it was served cold and I had to throw it out because I wasn’t sure if it was safe. That is the only thing I wasn’t impressed with, it’s just seems like canned cheese, maybe Rico’s. but the temperature really bothered me. I didn’t get any photos of the food, or the establishment, we were hangry!!!!! Next time!

California’s burrito and asada fries are both off the chain. Their burritos and asada fries are legendary. Seriously, the fries are piled high with toppings. Pro tip: if you're solo, the half order of asada fries is more than enough. You won't leave hungry!

We have not been here since the middle 90's because of out of state work. They did not disappoint!!! Cheese enchiladas, and shredded beef burritos. They are the same. AWESOME!!! will definitely be back for more. I'm overfull. Lol

Best burritos from here to California! The price is unbelievably low. I'm used to paying 14 dollars for a burrito that tastes awful and full of fat in California. I love this place and their carne asada fries are huge. I can't eat enough of the carne asada burritos when I visit my family.

I went to Alfredo’s this morning, and ordered the wrong plate not realizing it. When i got my food, it wasn’t what i expected so i went inside to see if i could get it corrected. Turns out, i confused what i ordered with what i was wanting. The staff was so kind, adjusted the plate some for me and then explained to me the difference and what to order in the future. They were so helpful, even with it being a busy morning. The food was delicious as usual. We eat here quite a bit with it so close to our home, and have never had anything but wonderful food and interactions with their staff. Today was no exception, even though i was the one who made the mistake they were quick to be helpful and as always the food was perfect. Thankful for their patience with me and being so willing to help me not just today but in the future.

A small but excellent Mexican food eatery. We went when it was fairly busy. They have a great menu and a wide selection. Our food was delivered hot and fast!!! There was a mix up on my order, but it was taken care of very quickly. Even though it was bit crowded, everyone was having a good time. The food was excellent!!! The customer service here deserves 2 thumbs up! They were very busy and yet went out of their way to take care of each customer!

I’m a pretty basic eater, beans & tortillas. But that’s all you need to know about Mexican restaurant. Slightly over priced for serving size. But just one star off, food was good!! Seating & interior felt like neighborhood mex place, good spot.

Important distinction: This is "Don" Alfredo's, not to be confused with another very similar restaurant that goes just by Alfredo's. Different owners, similar but not exact menus, and different pricing. This location is the original and in my opinion better than the other Alfredo's. Large portions, quality food, and fast, friendly service.

Good Mexican food in Abilene is hard to come by in Abilene, but this place is really good. There's some Tex-Mex in here but the food is really good!

Alfredo's food was decent, but the drive-thru is definitely on the small side. If you're in a larger vehicle, it might be easier to park and order inside. The staff was friendly and efficient, and our order didn't take long. Overall, it was a solid dining experience but would love to see the drive thru improved in the future.

Traditionally, I really enjoy this place and its food. My most recent visit I got the full order of Asada Fries no guacamole. Unfortunately the put guacamole under 1/4 of the dish, making that part inedible. The other 75% was good though. I got it to go. So I was not going to drive back.

Not a lot to share, it's a small restaurant that has authentic Mexican food I go there at least 3 times a month and the food is usually on point and stays consistent with taste. I used to take mine to go but I've found that dine in is best, cause you get to eat the food nice and hot rather than warm by the time you get to where you're going.

It's not your grandmother's cooking, but pretty darn Close really good.

It was our first time eating here. It's a little pricey for what it is. The food came out fairly quickly. I'm the only person in our group who finished my plate. I'm not a fan of the style tortillas they use, but we were satisfied with everything else. Dr. Pepper was delicious here.

This was my first time in this place and WOW, I was not expecting such a great place and food, a really clean restaurant with amazing prices. I love how you can just serve yourself the salsa, chips and other sides, as well as the soft drinks. I ordered the Carnitas Plate and it was huge, with guacamole, salad, tortillas, rice and beans. I didn't like the guacamole though, it was "watery" in a weird way but hey... True be told, I eat it too.

We love alfredos on 14th (tried the other location and it's awful and they dont offer the same kids menu options) but I must say it is a hit or miss when u get food here... always either REALLY good or REALLY bad. When it's bad, the meat is blanf, dry, hard and burnt. And the cilantro and onions will be wilted and definitely old. But as I said when it's good, it's worth going back and trying again. I recommend the nachos anyday and I love the shrimp cocktail.

All in all good food and they get it right about 60% of the time. Despite that, food is good enough for this to be a regular lunch spot. Over the last year, the price has slowly climbed to a point they dont advertise the price of their tacos. Used to be 2.25 i think? On the menu it says 2.49 but they actually charge 2.98 PER TACO!! basic, no frills taco... I literally called around and even among the more expensive sit down restaurants, they have the second most expensive menu in town. Foods good, but yall are price gouging. Wont be going back til this is corrected and I spend easily 100 here a week

Watch how much they charge you, I was charged full price for a half order of carne asada fries. Either incompetent employee or dishonest. I know COVID is hurting everyone, but no need to squeeze the customer for a little extra. Good food though, just watch how much they charge you!

Their carne asada fries are great..menudo and fish soup excellent..but I can't say the same for their barbacoa they need to do something different..just not good..and their tortillas.well I can't blame them for the tortillas since they don't make them..but I would say it's like eating cardboard..

This dining room is way too small and air conditioning system is terrible. The drink machine is 1 foot behind a booth which makes me wonder how many people have had a drink spilled on them? On the upside the food is good not great but I will eat there again but will choose drive thru next time.

I haven’t had this in about 2 years. I first tried to go to the location on Buffalo Gap. Apparently they make their own hours and weren’t open for lunch. So I went to the S 14th location. The service was very minimal. The food had almost no flavor and the portions were much smaller than last time. My daughter had the queso and it was extremely watered down. It’s a shame. This used to be a must have when returning to Abilene. I’ll cross it off my list.

Only complaint i have is that the grilled chicken and pinto beans is a little bit on the salty side, and chicken is a little over cooked, the marinated chicken is way better. Other than that it's good food. Portions could be better in the Alfredo bowl. It's like a hit and miss. Disappointed with our carne asada fries. The fries were hotter than the carne. Tasted as if the carne was just reheated in the microwave. Tamale tasted like store bought and most definately not homemade. Crispy taco was super greasy and the meat inside was bland. Traveled from out of town to try something new.

on my way to work I went through the drive thru at the s 14th location and ordered 2 grilled chicken burritos and a large Pepsi. the time on the receipt says 9:03 PM and it cost $13.50. once I got to work I found ground beef burritos that looked like they where just thrown together. I was really disappointed that it wasn't the grilled chicken but now that I'm at work I cant leave to take it back. I had nothing else to eat so now I'm eating it but on a plate because the insides had already start busting out of the tortilla because it wasn't wrapped tight and the grease was pooled in the wrapper. the service and food where not good today, really disappointing experience for an otherwise usually good location.

Alfredo's has really gotten CHINCHY since Covid. I understand that food costs have gone up, but man do they overcharge for their menu! And they don't even give out chips in the drive through anymore. I asked for a large Horchata yesterday and was given a small cup! The drive through said this was "their large now". Food is still good but the portions vs pricing ratio is outrageous! If I am giving you my entire paycheck, atleast offer service with a smile!

I use to LOVE! the food and was a regular but the last two visits have been very, very disappointed. I am a fan for their large nachos with meat and beans only. I do not like their cheese so I am very specific when I order. The service lately have been getting it wrong and would put cheese on it anyways, it would happen often but then I started to check for myself, even when I started to do that, they still got it wrong. The food lately has been plain, looks season but still has no taste. The second time around, again the food looked season but no taste (the meat) and the chips were stale. For nachos that cost $8.00 should make it worth the price but lately its been tasting like $3.00 nachos. I have lost my appetite this last visit (4-20-13) because of the stale chips and will not be satisfying my hunger with Alfredo's.

Please change your oil regularly. Everything tastes and smells like fish and it’s so gross. Idk why I keep coming back hoping it’s better again. Alfredo’s used to be the best, but in the last year and a half it’s progressively gone down hill. Also, Idk if there was a management change or a cook change but why did the bean burritos go from being the best in the world to being a mouthful of salt? It’s awful. I miss the burritos.

Just got here to work at Mike Byrd. Bought a barbacoa burrito on the way. I opened it up to put hot sauce and salt, very very little meat. All it really had was a big piece of greasy fat. I'm not upset but it saddens me a slight bit because these people do not take delight and pride in the very customers that keep them in business. I drove almost 5 miles to work just get a fat burrito. It's raining rightnow and I don't think we're gonna work today. Boss hasn't showed up. I'm going to take this burrito back and show it to them so hopefully they can tell the servers not to this to their customers. This is very very bad business.

Lord forbid they actually mess up on an order. I took my sons plate back up to get fixed. I was not rude about it, I understand mixbups happen. I received nothing but attitude, saying they'll do it this once. But next time I need to pay more attention. We ordered exactly what we wanted, they're the one who put the wrong me into the tacos. August 12, 2018 around 8 pm Just had a bad experience at Alfredo's, normally i wouldn't write a complaint but at some point some employees need to learn more about customer service. I went through the drive thru and the young lady who had no name tag working the drive thru was very unprofessional. She was rude while i was placing my order and caught an attitude when i asked if she gave me green sauce. When i arrived home and realized that she gave me the wrong order I contacted the restaurant, which i had to google cause she didn't give me a receipt, to make sure they prepared the correct order so i wouldn't have to wait. As i arrived at Alfredo's i asked the gentlemen if the manager was working and he replied with no. At this point the young lady working the drive thru walked up to the front counter implying that she didn't hear me when i asked for the green sauce, I then replied with, you most of not heard me when i placed my order cause you got that wrong. She responded with "I didn't check it". A simple apology would of made things somewhat better but the fact that she was throwing out excuses made things worse.

This restaurant was terrible.. 1st of all, I ordered a burrito for myself and one for my husband. I asked for cheese on mine and I asked for cheese on the side for my husband's. They put the cheese on both of them, and they put so little on there that you could barely even see it or taste it . 2nd of all, I ordered a churro and a sopapilla. They were both hard as a rock and if I feel like they were not made fresh. I feel like they were left over from another day. Lastly, this was a to go order and they didn't even give us any free tortilla chips and salsa! What Mexican restaurant doesn't give you free chips and salsa, whether you're eating in or taking out??!! We will not be eating at this establishment again!! And it's a shame because I was really craving Mexican food for a couple of days, and I was so excited that I was finally gonna get it, and this just disappointed big time!!

By far the WORST food I’ve eaten in Abilene. How it has 4 star rating is beyond me. Fish taco was tolerable, but I would caution anyone to stay clear away from the chicken quesadilla and rolled tacos. Completely disgusting and no effort in the quality.

Javier and George who work in kitchen who where left on charge are very disrespectful and careless to customer order request. Javier aggressively snatch a bag nn food off counter then when called home out on it he was defensive " we can't give away food" pulling attitude like customer was wrong ( guilt tripping) the attitude was the problem not the food. Then George got on phone and asked what was wrong but then wouldn't give a chance to answer kept overtaking and cutting customer off. Terrible customer service. This location be aware these two obviously are just there for a paycheck and what they get out of it. Left us to where didn't even feel safe to eat replacement burrito if even to go back to eat there again!!!!!@

The nachos were so bad I didn’t even eat them I wish I got a refund I’m actually upset. They forgot guacamole and there’s really no toppings anyways who wants nasty meat cheap cheese, sour cream, and chips… disrespectful for the price won’t be back.

I've eaten here a few times and it's mostly good. The service is always good. But the last time I ate there, there was something wrong with the beef. It tasted and smelled really bad. Honestly everything tasted and smelled a little off. I didn't even finish eating cause it was so gross. I would be careful about eating here. Okay I tried it again. The people are pretty nice but this is straight up the worst mexican food I've had in Abilene.. I have given this location and the other location multiple chances but after today I’ve had enough. Today I ordered through favor, not sure if they control the favor app menu but it is VERY misleading on the food you are receiving and the price you are paying. What I should have gotten per the description and price on the app 3 burritos at $10, burritos should have consisted of chicken, beans, and cheese. What I received was 3 burritos $7 and some change each, burritos consisted of chicken, beans, pico de gallo, and avocado. The amount of times I have requested no avacado due to an allergy is quite ridiculous(in person orders). As someone who works in the restaurant industry, this is unacceptable. It is not hard to simply read or follow a special instruction. ESPECIALLY due to an ALLERGY. I understand, people make mistakes, but it’s no longer a mistake when it has happened to me 10+ times. It’s blatant laziness and a lack of care for what you are serving your customers. The inconsistency of portion sizes and prices is just a cherry on top to the unprofessional ways Alfredo’s runs their business. I will never return to or try Alfredo’s again. They’ve had to many chances.

I ordered Menudo. And I used to love their menudo, but I noticed that it tasted different as if it was just warmed up from the prior day. And there was a piece of beef meat in it. Not going to eat menudo there no more. And another day I ordered tamales. They were not made fresh. They were tamales from HEB they just warmed them up. I'm not buying tamales there no more. I mean c'mon now. A person can taste when they are home made and store bought.

Thehamberger burritos had no real meat. The meat poured out as yellowish liquid cornmeal or baby food. The burrito, by the time I got it home was soaked all the way thru to the paper bag.

This place needs a deep clean! Against my better judgement I over paid for gross food. Sat down and noticed dead flies in the windows seals, dead flies stuck to old tape on the window. The salsa bar should be tested for bacteria levels..people saying this place is clean with good food are lying! Standards are low, this place is gross.

Walked in there, thinking it was gonna be a good place to dine in but it turned out It wasn’t good. I don’t believe it’s sanitary the guy was touching our food with his bare hands I will not be visiting don Alfredo’s very disappointing. And what’s more upsetting is that they serve me guacamole that came with my plate and that turned out to be a nightmare. I’m pretty sure guacamole is green. guacamole that I was served was brown…. I hope the owner or manager or somebody that works at the the restaurant reads my comment, so that they can provides gloves for their employees, and quality food so that people will come back once again very disappointed it ruined my dinner

Raw piece of menudo in my burrito, it was disgusting. Worse is that it seems like it was place there on purpose or just carlessly. This is unacceptable, for there to be raw menudo in a carne asade burrito 🤢
