This place is great. Just went for my fifth time this past Valentine's day and they definitely made it special. Valet parking can make finding a spot somewhat difficult but thanks to a nearby parking garage, the headache can be greatly reduced. Recommend the Miguelito with an extra taco on the side 😛
We were there with a large group celebrating a birthday. Our server was excellent. Attentive, unobtrusive, efficient, the food came out in an orderly and timely fashion. Our checks were treated the same way. Wonderful! Lovely experience and I would definitely go back.
It was my first time at this restaurant today for my Birthday! The service was great and so was the staff. The bartender was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend this restaurant if you have not been. Thank you.
First time there. Food was really good. The shrimp fajitas was delicious with their green sauce. The cheese dip was good, but felt like melted kraft cheese. Now dessert, was great. The 5 leches, was very good. I suggest you make room for that
My dad brought me here to celebrate my birthday. The margaritas are very good! A bit strong for my liking but to be fair I don't drink haha. The food was good, the service was amazing. We had a party of seven and our server did not miss a single detail. While the place is kid friendly, I would say it is best suited for a girls night out or a date. Would definitely return to this Mesero
When the weather is nice, we like to pop over to Mesero to dine on the patio. It’s a nice vista with the golf course in the background. Kids can barely resist hopping off the patio and running onto the course. The food is good but you may find the final bill to be pricey. Be warned: if you dine inside it is LOUD. I’ve always had good service.
Upscale and flavorful Mexican restaurant with gluten-free options, but not marked. The decor is modern and clean. Traditionally prepared entrees with fresh ingredients and bright tastes. Our server was very knowledgeable about gluten-free concerns and cross contact issues. She knew which items contained gluten and recommended the least likely items to have cross contact. I had gluten-free Asad Fajitas and the tortilla chips and salsa.
Saturday afternoon turned out to be the perfect time to visit this location. It wasn't very busy and sitting near the windows with a view of the Golf Course was definitely a plus. Our server seemed a bit rushed in her engagements, but was very kind and eager to fulfill any request we had. The guacamole and queso tejano were so good. I would have preferred a lighter texture tortilla chip, but they were good. The brisket quesadilla that my friend ordered was said to be flavorful, juicy, and tender. His shrimp fajitas looked amazing! I had the brisket tacos and they were alright. I will visit again and try the Ribeye and Chipotle Grits.... Overall great visit!
Staff here is amazing! The Maître d' Erik runs a tight ship and has a fabulous crew I don't understand the chips, though (ick).... all the salsas, dips, and ceviche are fabulous -- but the chips are excessively thick and hard. Maybe offer a second chip choice that's like the *amazing* Deli Chips from Market Street?? I love all the other food, especially the Fried Rice and Shrimp Ceviche. And don't forget the Churros!
We had such a wonderful time with Jill as our server. The brisket nachos were yummy and we topped them with the queso too. My friend enjoyed the ceviche as her meal and I had the asada tacos. Everyone in our group was very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!
I recently attended a private party at this establishment and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. We had our own bar, and the food was absolutely fantastic - the seared tuna appetizer was especially delicious. The rainbow margarita was also perfectly balanced. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning in the future for more.
For some reason I prefer to come to Mesero for the drinks than the food. Don't get me wrong the food isn't bad it just doesn't blow my mind. This time I had the Puerco Pasilla. The flavor was OK for a mole based sauce but was on the salty side. The dessert Cinco leches cake on the other hand was very good but entirely too much for only 2 people to share. Service was good as it usually is. Water never got below half. The atmosphere especially sitting outside overlooking the golf course is top notch.
On a hot summer day, their watermelon margarita hits. Great salsa trio and pretty solid chips as well. Shrimp ceviche was not what I was expecting (in a mold shape with lots of avocado), but was really good nonetheless. Service was fine sitting at the bar, but not super attentive due to it being busy.
This is such a beautiful restaurant. The presentation and environment is very nice and well to do. The service we got was excellent. The food was okay. We ordered two of their combination plates. I liked my shrimp taco but I wouldn't order that again if I were to come back. The prices are lower than I thought they would be but the portion sizes are small.
I am sitting in the restaurant now. The food is brand, unflavored and mediocre at best. I even requested fresh chopped jalapeños which were definitely not hot at all. The salsa trio they bring you was not good either except for the avocado one which did have flavor. I did enjoy their queso with the spinach etc chips were decent. Not greasy. Service was great. Our waiter, the bartender and the hostess were kind, helpful and on it! While the service, location, & atmosphere were fine but couldn't make up for the bland food. In Dallas TX, we have so many Mexican food options that I doubt I will return.
I don’t recall the last time if ever my girlfriends of 40 years in Dallas have ever been so disappointed of the overall experience in a restaurant. We have dined here often over the last few years, the food has been average, however it’s been familiar and good service disguised .. Our waiter not only overcharged us, failing miserably with all the up selling promises. A couple of us ordered the fajitas, 40.00 each, plus a split fee of 5.00 , it was pre- packaged chicken sliced, and onions , cold , charged for Cheese, sour cream, on and on. Literally, Of all my years in Dallas and the culinary culture, this was the worst , and so disappointing for a friends Birthday. Oh and exceptionally expensive.. we could have dined at a Michelin restaurant! CC
Ordered delivery, the entire prder was delivered in 20 minutes and every single item was cold. The steak was so overcooked it was unrecognizable, the the chili relleno was just a pepper, the mini tacos did not have any meat, and they sent the wrong meat for the relleno. There are dozens of other restaurants in the area, avoid Mesero.
Stopped in for a late dinner 11/17/2025. Greeted and promptly sat and given chips and salsa to start which were good. My wife ordered and then I ordered the beef enchiladas. I asked a very specific question about what dairy would come on top however what came out was not at all what I anticipated nor what was answered earlier. This was for a food restriction and I could not actually eat the food and I did not physically touch it. I kindly explained to the server and requested it to be remade. The food was actually good after the change and meal overall okay however was not offered a refill of water or chips/salsa. I asked for the receipt and was charged twice for the beef enchiladas. I did not touch it at all, and could not actually eat it because of a food restriction. I probably ended up paying for one of the staffs food that night. Overall, the food was good however I will not be back based on my experience.
Extremely Disappointed – Lost Item Handled Poorly by Staff and Management I expected better from a high-end restaurant. My experience was ruined not by the food or the ambiance, but by the unprofessional and frankly unacceptable way the staff and management handled a lost item. I forgot my sunglasses—designer and expensive—on the table as we were literally the last guests to leave for the night. When I returned the next morning, no one had them. Instead of showing genuine concern or responsibility, every employee gave me a different excuse. I was told the cameras “don’t save footage for long,” which is ridiculous given it hadn’t even been 12 hours. I reached out to management and even the administrative team—same lazy responses, no accountability, no follow-up, no effort to make things right. It felt like they just wanted me to go away. This isn’t how you treat customers, especially at a place that claims to offer a premium experience. If your lost-and-found system is this careless and your staff this unhelpful, I strongly suggest others take their business elsewhere. Disgraceful.
