In the vast ocean of cheap, low quality Asian buffets Tokyo one retains a high level of quality. This is my Saturday tradition after fasting, dieting and lifting all week. I recommend Tokyo one to anyone who enjoys good quality Sushi and general loves a good buffet. It’s well worth the price.

I was surprised. This is definitely the best sushi all you can eat restaurant in Dallas. Food quality is so good. All dishes are very delicious. Sashimi and oysters are fresh and fatty. They did so good on quality control. And the waitress is super polite and thoughtful. 10/10 would come back.

何Adrienne

Had lunch here on Saturday a few weeks ago. We come for weekend dinner today and the food is good as usual. More options including lamb oyster and crab legs are offered for dinner. So if you want to enjoy any kind of these special food options definitely come at dinner time. Otherwise lunch would be really good value for high quality sashimi sushi and grill. Overall its a good restaurant to try if you are looking for something like a sushi buffet. Do try their green tea ice cream too!

Great place for a nice selection of sushi, sashimi and many other Asian dishes. Service was excellent as well and the owner appears to be personable. UPDATE: keep coming back to it after 3 years already, and the quality remains the same of 5🌟

This place was great! They have lots of good food, and it's not just sushi; they have tempuras, sushi rolls, Korean chicken and LA galbi, an amazing dessert selection, and etc... The servers were very quick with their service as well!

I didn’t take enough pictures but I just came here after a horrendous experience at another buffet. The food here was delicious and the service was great. We felt welcomed and our waitress was attentive.

We love coming here, especially eating the tempura and the fried crab. Yum Yum. Yum delicious we will always come back!!!

Had a great dinner here. There is a really fantastic variety of dishes to choose from. Even someone with us that didn't like fish particularly found a lot of stuff he liked. The variety of rolls was a little disappointing, but maybe just because we were there on a Wednesday night? Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to top off our drinks and clear plates quickly. The cost is a little pricey, but the quality matches

I went to Osaka last night with my children. Just like other restaurants, Osaka also raised their prices. But there is a variety of sushi, rolls, and sashimi. There was also fresh oysters available. I like that it was an open buffet with kind servers. We love the seafood menus there. The buffet and the seating areas are clean and well maintained.

Excellent service and quality. The sashimi is spectacular. The server named Ruby was amazing and made our night even more special.

Best sashimi in town. Tempura is excellent. Fresh grilled sardines. The list goes on... don't forget the creme brulee, matcha and mango ice cream!

Very good sushi buffet with very tasty food choices. From sashimi to sushi, from cooked food to oyster. We enjoy very much and in a very reasonable price. Eat as much as you can of all the tasty buffet and even the dessert buffet is very tasty. Don't forget to ask for your ice cream. Enjoy

Yes, Asian food, yes, a true Korean flare, yes, all you can eat. Three long lines of hot and chilled foods, doesn't include the 7' long dessert bar, Hotpot or even the soup stations. Large party room in the rear. Plenty of parking, clean restrooms. Yes, we absolutely will return

M

Great variety of sushi. Ready to grab and start enjoying. 32$ per adult, and $16ish per child, less than 11 i think. I think very reasonable given the current inflation prices. Servers are fast at cleaning the used plates and are very polite. They give you ice cream at the end, which is included in the buffet price.

One of my personal fav Japanese restaurants. I discovered this place about 6 yrs ago & every time I come by, it's a special experience. It's hard to find a place where the food is FRESH, neatly prepared & all you can eat in one setting. Staff are very welcoming & friendly. You should consider going by.

This place is the bomb! Fresh Sushi, the dumplings are delicious. I even tried lamb chops for the first time and they were fantastic. They serve you warm tea do not forget to get some sugar substitutes if you do not like drinking it by itself. They were sweet enough to serve me cake and ice cream on my birthday and they even gave me a birthday discount! Be sure to ask what items are spicy or not just in case. I believe the lunch happy hour have discounted food be sure to go during those times. Thank u Osaka sushi grill!🤘😁

I've been coming to this all-you-can-eat restaurant for over 10 years—back when it was called Tokyo. Although the name has changed, the quality of the food and the excellent service have remained just as amazing. The price has gone up over the years, but it's still worth every penny for the variety and freshness they offer. This place continues to be my go-to spot for sushi and more. Highly recommend!

Unlimited sushi! When I visit Osaka, I make sure to load up on sashimi. Everything is always so fresh and flavorful. There is a huge selection of rolls, salad, fruit, ramen, and also grilled items.

Hey folks, let me tell ya about Osaka Sushi & Grill Bar – the kind of place that makes you wanna put on a tuxedo t-shirt just to impress your taste buds. I mean, everything here is fresh. I'm talkin' fresher than a newly-hatched baby bird. The sushi? It tastes like they reeled in those fish just minutes before they slapped 'em on my plate. I ain't kiddin', it's like a flavor explosion that'll make your taste buds do the cha-cha. Now, the tempura shrimp? Oh boy, it was so crunchy it could wake up your neighbor three blocks away. And the salt? Just the right amount, like a little flavor fairy sprinkled it with her magic salt wand. I even tried the lamb – yeah, I branched out, and it was delicious, like a flavor symphony in my mouth. And there was more to explore on that menu, but time was against me. You bet your sweet behind I'll be back to conquer that menu like it owes me money. And then there's the ice cream, mango flavor. It's like they squeezed a whole mango into that scoop. I could eat a gallon of that stuff without blinking. Now, here's the kicker – I drove 45 minutes to get here, and let me tell you, it was worth every minute of that trip. Osaka Sushi & Grill Bar, you've got me hooked. Keep that fresh goodness rollin', and I'll keep rollin' back for more.

This is the best all-you-can-eat restaurant I've visited recently, with every dish above standard. Especially noteworthy is the waitress, Sherry, who is incredibly friendly and polite to both children and adults. Her service is so excellent that even a perfect score wouldn’t be enough. After a full meal, there's also delicious ice cream to top it off. It was a wonderful dining experience, and if I visit Dallas again, this place will definitely be on my itinerary.

This is a great buffet! It has such a big variety of seafood. I loved the sashimi and oysters! My group and I got there 1 hour before closing and the service we received from the waitress named Apple was the best. She was very attentive and hard working. The restaurant was clean and well kept. I will definitely be back next time I’m in Texas.

Y'all this is absolutely my favorite place. Went all the time when they were in Plano. The new Addison location is great but too far away to frequent now with any regularity but, still my favorite birthday place!

A truly all you can eat sushi buffet for $25.00. Yes please! The selection of sushi rolls were great. From California rolls and Philadelphia rolls to mango rolls, and tempura rolls…and everything in between. The nigiri selection was simple: salmon, tuna, yellow tail, and crab. The shashimi selections were also the same. They also had seaweed salad rolls, octopus salad, udon and ramen. Plus tons of hors d’oeuvres options. They also have a noodle / stir fry station and a desert bar. I’ll definitely be back here again.

This is my first time here and a friend brought me for my birthday and I'm so happy she did. I didn't even know what this place was but it is really worth the drive to addison. There are so many choices: sushi, sashimi, a creat your own hot pot station with three broths, a salad/ fruit aisle, a hot station, and a dessert section. I tried just about everything! We were sat immediately (came on a weekday for lunch) and there is ample seating. The server was nice and brought the miso soup to the table. The only misstep here for me was that they did not have any ponzu sauce; you have to go to the counter and ask for sauces and they only had eel and spicy mayo. This could be because I was there for lunch but I am not sure. There is a "limit" on some items i.e. only 3 pieces of sashimi but you can just go back and get more! The servers did a great job keeping the table clear as well. There are signs on every table to tell you to get only what you can eat or be charged for the remainder which I understand, food waste can be excessive in regular restaurants so I can only imagine at buffets. That didn't stop me from getting like four plates with dessert. At the end of the meal, you can get the ice cream from the servers and they had red bean, green tea, strawberry and mango (I think), and they ask you how many scoops you want. You can also see the sushi chefs behind the sushi section preparing thr rolls. For $24 at lunch, I will for sure come back for dinner to see how much more they have to offer. Will for sure recommend!

I love my raw fish and some cooked foods. :) I had a little bit of everything and it all tasted fantastic. Customer service was great. Every time I drank half of my hot tea, they had it refilled. My used plate was removed when I went for more. I think this time my stomach was actually bigger than my eyes. lol. My final dinner bill was $47 with tip. Well worth it for all the yummy food I ate. What better way to end a meal for a king than chase it down with green tea and red bean ice cream. Now I need to hit the cardio machines and do 300 burpees. :)

Super fresh sushi, great ramen, and excellent dinner and dessert options. The staff was super attentive and the manager made a point to visit with us since it was our first time. My 6 year old daughter loved the fried tofu, and my son tried sushi for the first time. Definitely a must visit restaurant! We'll be back again the next time we are in town.

The best high end Asian buffet in North Texas! $35 per person but the top end sushi and unique things like "hotpot" also called shabu shabu. The lamb chops we're the most delicious of the cooked meats and they were so skillfully prepared that even if you got enough to let them get cold they still tasted amazing and you wanted to go back. Several soup options and the soup toppings bar had things like quail eggs and fried tofu curd. Three desserts had a wonderful coffee jelly but I had to go back a few times for the creme brulee and Green tea ice cream. This is my new top Texas restaurant! Wonderful job to the owners and staff!

The price of $42 per person is quite high for the buffet they offer. This place used to be very good when it was called "Tokyo One", but it got a bit run down when it switched the name to "Osaka." Please don't get me wrong, the food here still beats most of the Japanese buffets in Dallas because at least my husband thoroughly enjoyed their snow crab legs like he used to. They have the snow crab legs for dinner everyday and no need to wait until weekends. We will go back here again to enjoy our dinner.

Still my favorite place out of the many sushi buffets I have tried. Food is always top notch. Update 12.10.22 Went here for lunch. Food was great this time and service was excellent. Ramen is self service. We also asked for strawberry and green tea ice cream. Update 5.9.22 Arrived at 5:50pm on a Monday and it wasn't too crowded at all. We were seated immediately. Food wasn't as good since we were here years ago. Many of the hot food lacked flavor. Sushi is still decent. Oysters were not the freshest either. Cream brulee dessert is still pretty good. We also tried the green tea ice cream. It wasn't the dark green color or same flavor. It was $43 per person for dinner. Service was great! Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times. It still a great atmosphere and we had a great time. Also got a bento box to go as my husband couldn't make it.

This place has probably the best service I’ve ever had at a resteraunt. Every single person from the hostess to the waiters to the cooks are extremely nice, they take care of you and treat you like family. I will go back again and again simply because of that. The food is really good and they now have lamb chops AND crab legs as part of the buffet. Not only that they do not pressure you to eat less or leave. Lol we were asked to eat more and to stay longer! Anywhooo please visit and support and try the revamped menu!

Incredible variety and peak freshness! The specialty rolls are creative, the service is fast, and it’s easily the best value for premium all-you-can-eat sushi in town. Must try. Adult and Kid approved!

As always the food was awesome! The variety of food will provide a good experience for all types of eaters whether you like sushi or just Asian inspired non-sushi food. The customer service here is top shelf too. They always treat us right. On this such occasion, we were celebrating one of our daughter's birthdays. When looking up the scheduled times on Google we knew that lunch lasted until 3pm. When we arrived at Osaka we were told that due to Covid lunch would only be until 2:30pm. However, when I expressed how we were unhappy how we wouldn't have enough time to enjoy our lunch the host told that me that we could stay until 3pm with no problem. The buffet did end at 2:30pm but we were told ahead of time by our server that we could grab our last plate. We were not rushed at all and were allowed to stay until we finished our meal at 3:10pm. They were very accommodating!

It was absolutely DELICIOUS! I came during the lunch buffet today and they had everything all set out and ready to grab! Didn’t have to wait on anything and our server Apple was so sweet and very attentive!

I highly recommend this sushi restaurant near my home in the Addison–Rose area. The atmosphere is quiet, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The food is fresh, high quality, and offers a wide variety of options, with many appetizing dishes to choose from. My favorite items are the tempura, which is perfectly crispy and not oily, and the sushi and rice balls, which are delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I have been searching for an authentic-style sushi restaurant for a long time, and this place truly delivers. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. A special mention goes to Annita, a Thai server who provides outstanding service with a bright smile and genuine dedication, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Even though I have only been living in this area for one week, I have already eaten here three times, and I will definitely be back very soon for my fourth visit. I also plan to bring more friends with me. Highly recommended for anyone who loves quality sushi 🍣✨

My family and I have loved sushi and Oodon fir decades. With time we have become more selective, and have sampled many restaurants in DFW, Austin , Houston and SanAntonio. Last summer we went to Tokyo to experience the culture, and a secondary objective finding the best sushi and Oodon. We found our favorite 5 star Michelin rated restaurant in Tokyo harbor in the fish market. Osaka Addison comes the closest to this. This is an art that requires substantial logisitcs in importing excellent fresh fish, flash frozen, and defrosting perfectly. Top marks to Osaka , from every prespective. Food, atmosphere, service, and for bringing a little piece of Japan to Texas !!!!

The food here is diverse, delicious, and definitely worth the price. The service was excellent — especially Anita, who took very good care of us. She was friendly, kind, and truly attentive to customers. I will definitely come back because I love both the staff and the food here. The flavors are perfect for Asian tastes. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Osaka's has become our top 'treat ourselves' restaurant...we go there for birthdays, holidays, whenever we can justify it. The food is fantastic with surprisingly good sushi/sashimi (for Dallas) and the service is excellent (who expects service at buffet, much less excellent service!?). I can never decide whether desert should be more sushi or green tea ice cream. Top notch all around!

My family and I absolutely loved everything about our dining experience. It was our first time eating here and they thoroughly explained everything about how it worked and what was where. Our lovely waitress made sure we had all the dipping sauces to pair with our different items which was amazing because I really didn't know what I should use. 10/10 customer service! The food was also fresh and plentiful even though we came in a bit late. They have lots of great sushi options (Louisiana roll is fire). We absolutely will be coming back and it's definitely worth a shot.

Lunch is affordable, options are sufficient and healthy, custom habachi adds a great benefit for diabetics (most sauces have sugar), service was great (thanks Apple!), and the host was kind enough to show us around on our first time here. Came here for a birthday and personally enjoyed the sashimi and custom habachi meats. My wife loved the Korean BBQ beef on offer, alongside their chicken teriyaki, and desserts. So they have good options for every diet. I also enjoyed the atmosphere. Which was laid back and comfortable. Made for a great lunch for my birthday!

My mom & I go here once a year usually for Thanksgiving or Christmas as they’re always open and offer a $42 PP all you can eat menu. We hadn’t been in over a year and our very kind waitress, Apple, remembered us and greeted us like family. She is so sweet and has a daughter around my age. Everyone that works there is so wonderful, I hope they stay open for years to come! Great selection of sushi, sashimi, hot foods, hot pot (you have to ask for that), and ice creams. We sit for a few hours and sip sake. Love it here.

I was surprised to find out that it was an actual buffet and I could serve myself. I was very impressed with the quality of the sashimi and had a fair amount. You are allowed to take 4 pieces of each kind each time you come up to the buffet. I also enjoyed their fresh vegetable tempura. My absolute favourite was their baked mussels which tasted like a motoyaki sauce. So tasty ! They also had large fresh oysters on the half shell, salads, several kinds of meat dishes and ramen in the AYCE. To finish there were several nice desserts to choose from including ice cream. Service was very attentive and polite. Definitely come to check this place out !

Great seafood buffet. They have everything ranging from sashimi to ramen to oyeters and fried rice. Pricing was reasonable and we left filled and happy! The interior of the restaurant is very out dated - giving old-country atmosphere. It doesn't suit the rest of the restaurant and cuisine. I hope it gets updated to match the atmosphere.

I had an incredible dining experience at Osaka Sushi & Grill! Their sushi and grill buffet was absolutely top-notch — everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. From classic sushi rolls to expertly grilled meats and seafood, every dish exceeded my expectations. The variety offered was impressive, and the quality of the food was consistent across the board. But what truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the entire visit. If you’re looking for a great Japanese buffet with both amazing food and outstanding service, I highly recommend Osaka Sushi & Grill. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Mostly the same. Been coming here for 10 years, when Osaka Grill was still “Tokyo One” under the original owners (I think they were Japanese sisters). Like how the current Korean owners have kept things quite similar. Sushi & sashimi quality’s seems the same. However, no eel sushi this time. Seaweed & jellyfish salads are yummy & fresh. Korean beef & tempuras are excellent. However, the dessert choices are more limited & pieces are smaller. No more oero pie. Mango & raspberry mousse and the flan taste different & not as good. At least the creme brulee’s still big but crsipt topping’s kinda sugary & not smoothly burnt. Will still come back but may try the Tokyo One in Plano.

This is one of the better Asian buffets I've ever been to. They have a lot of options, and everything I tried was very good. I didn't rate the service because it is buffet. There was nothing wrong with the service. I would definitely go again.

This was my first time visiting Osaka and everything was great. My sisters and I came here to celebrate a birthday and from the moment we came in the customer service was great. The place was very clean and the food was fresh. I've never been to this type of Asian buffet and I would definitely go again. All the food was fresh, well seasoned, tender, and juicy. I loved the tempura shrimp, sweet potatoes, and seseme balls. The mussels had a very yummy flavor. The sushi tasted very good. My sister had me try just the salmon by itself but unfortunately I do not like the texture but having it with the rice is way better to me! I would definitely be back! For 3 adults on a Sunday was $77 before tip, never been to a upper scale type Asian buffet so I thought this was worth it.

I've been a customer of Osaka Sushi ever since when they are still in Plano. First time to visit their new location here in Addison. Place is much smaller, although hospitality is still there. Fewer selections but food still great 👍. With this pandemic we need to support all businesses. They have a strict protocol being observed.

Decent buffet with Japanese offerings! Sushi is definitely above average compared to standard Asian buffets, and the grilled/fried options were also good. They also have crab legs, and they actually have juicy meat in them!! Service is great & attentive as well.

First time here this evening and the experience was perfect for us. The food selection, quality and freshness were simply amazing. The staff were super helpful and friendly. Definitely a nice and relaxing atmosphere for a Friday night. Though you can expect a little steeper of a price tag, but remember, its fresh and plentiful! For sure, a repeat place for us.

I use to go here a lot as a kid and I really loved their ramen bar but over the years it seems like the quality dropped a bit. The other dishes are still good and from time to time I still grab the sushi. Service was meh, I saw the waiter maybe every 20 minutes which is a bit long but nothelesse, still decent, Worth it for 4-5 families

Our visit started the right way with a huge plate of snow crab (included) It was slightly more crab than I wanted (I worry about food waste), but was very tasty nonetheless. The rest of the food was good, Sushi was very fresh and plentiful. I noticed some of the food wasn’t replenished very fast when empty like the fried rice, but in general there was a huge amount of choice and our server Apple was the loveliest and most efficient person you could hope to encounter! We will be back!

We came on Monday for dinner. Some food were ok. Sushi didn't taste at the same high level as the place used to provide. Probably sushi were similar to $12 Chinese buffet. Crab legs were quite salty.

All the sushi, salads, hamachi, and warm entree items were delicious. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Only issue is one of the rolls had something very hard in it that I bit into which got lodged in my throat. It hurt like hell but I eventually was able to get it down. ALL of the staff kept checking in on me making sure I didn’t die. I’ll be back though since the food was excellent.

Well, expensive than other Asian buffet. But really did not see a higher food quality. Sashimi better than King buffet, but you can’t tell the great difference. No king crab legs, instead of snow crab legs. Stack out for a very long time, I did not see they refill. A notice saying: limited 3 legs, make you feel little bit uncomfortable. Most foods are cold, I mean colder than expected, however I see heat water under the plate. The dumplings are just industrial food from factory, I don’t like it. The food is not variety, I want to try the hotpot, but, really have nothing to be put in the pot. The best food if you let me pick from Osaka maybe is Kimchi, better than the ones in Hmart.

Okay for buffet. The sushi is not a as good as a sushi bar but better than the standard buffet. They do have a fantastic variety of sushi. I did not try the hibachi, didn't see it until I was full. Is a little pricey roughly $24 per person and no sweet tea. Would have done 4 stars if they had sweet tea.

A
A N

Sashimi was okay quality, would expecting a bit better for the price of the AYCE. Shrimp tempura was fresh and made in front of you, so good! Sad that there weren't any oysters as advertised. Service was fast and good, they were attentive. Selection was cut down significantly so it was a bit disappointing

This place was better when it was called "Tokyo One", with the name change also came an increase in price. I also feel it's not as good as it used to be, the quality has decreased, I saw a customer talking to what seemed to be the manager, stating that he couldn't find a dish he was used to and the manager was rude saying everything was in place and the customer was wrong.

S
Steve Y (Cancer fighter)

Got there early for Sunday lunch buffet. Well, food selections are much less than expected. For $32 per person, at least keep the fried rice and chowmen warm

I decided to bring my whole family including my elderly grandmother. The restaurant is definitely known for its sushi, sashimi, and other items. We were seated very quickly and there were tables available as we arrived right at opening, 11:30 a.m. the food was fresh on arrival and they had a great selection that you will see from the photos. As far as the sushi and sashimi, though everything tasted great, I wouldn't call it stellar or absolutely unique. If you are someone looking to try a wide array of sushi and sashimi, definitely try this place! The environment and atmosphere is very dated, with furniture, paint, wall paneling and roof tile that is scratched, chipped, and worn. The food stations though were clean. The bathroom also seems very old and could have used a touch up. Maybe it was where we were seated, but our area had a distinct bathroom like smell. Our table also had an issue with flies and many of our dishes had water stains on them. Our server, kim, was very attentive and polite. I was a little taken back, that when I asked for the bill, when I had asked how much was the price per buffet, our server said he didn't know and that it changes from day to day, which I thought was a bit bizarre. Drinks are not included in the buffet. Also there are some items that are not announced or written anywhere, but ice cream is served as well! The ice cream flavors served are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, red bean, green tea and mango. Our buffet each was $25.99. All and all, I would definitely go again with family, though I feel the price is a bit inflated whilst having flies and dirty dishes.

ES Raphael

On the plus side, buffet sashimi and sushi is definitely nice. Selection is not big but salmon and tuna are pretty good. On the minus side, the meats are not great and frequently not hot. Lunch buffet with a drink tax and tip is $37

Saad Asif

Very clean place. Their customer service is A+, but for the food, I will have to give it a C+ since it’s 42.99 per person all you can eat sushi. The sushi is average grade. Other food they offer are also average buffet quality food. Definitely not worth 42.99. I have been to other all you can eat sushi places which offered a better quality and at much lowered price. I doubt I will go back..

B
Betsy Rene Crutchfield

While the food was mostly excellent, the oysters and mussels had alot of hard bits making it impossible to eat or enjoy them. I ended up having to spit it out and quit eating as it made me sick. Staff was friendly though! The bathroom doors swing inward with no room to close unless you straddle the toilet at the risk of your clothes touching a dirty toilet seat. Almost ruined my dress in toilet water. Wouldn't go again as I prefer table service & fresh made sushi that hasn't sat out on a plate for unknown amount of time.

Shadow of it's former greatness. Sushi and sashimi selections are limited and quality is on par with an ayce buffet. Standout is the hot foods and the lamb chops and la kalbi ribs are excellent. Service was great they were super attentive and friendly. The food was mid for the price it was … the “hot foods” weren’t even close to warm they were more cold than anything, but the ice cream was delicious. Sushi didn’t taste fresh either , it wasn’t even cold. But the salad bar was good !

Slightly less ambitious (in terms of choices) than the original Plano location. At these prices, management ought to strive for better sushi than relegating themselves to the also-ran category. The crab legs and fried crab were sub-standard. The soup choices were poor especially considering the limited ingredients and warm (not hot) water dip for a few seconds. Mostly farm raised (think anti-biotics) fish and shrimp but of course the cheaper "ocean" fare were well represented. No hand rolled sushi, why? Shashimi was a disappointment. There was no custom Hibachi option. The items I liked were oysters (origin not labelled, why?), white tuna, creme brulee and the service. U.S. food establishments have a very poor record in labelling ingredients at the buffet stands. No effort was made here to offer customers with food allergies some alternative choices. Take it or leave it is unhealthy to say the least.

We were super excited to try this place as it is an AYCE sushi/ Japanese food spot that includes nigiri and sashimi, but we were super disappointed. All the food that was supposed to be hot was totally cold (except the soup). The food was under heat lamps but they were not serving their purpose. The galbi, tempura, potstickers, sautéed shrimp, fried rice, all of it was cold. And I don’t mean lukewarm, I literally mean room temp. The sushi was fishy, and while that might not be a deal breaker for some, it is for me. There’s plenty of places you can get salmon nigiri that’s not fishy, but the sushi just tasted old. Even the seaweed salad wasn’t good, it’s my husbands favorite and we order it at any restaurant that has it. Overall pretty disappointed to not even leave full because everything we tried just wasn’t good, and to pay $50+ for a lunch on top of it.

All you can eat sushi with plenty of variety that will keep you getting more plates. They also have a ramen section that is neat as well. They have tempura, fried rice, kbbq beef slices, etc. The sushi is delicious and created masterfully. The sashimi is mouthwatering. I would definitely recommend to others! Edit after 5 years: went here on Mother’s Day 2023 since I thought this place was good. Over 200$ for poor selection, and sore disappointment. Think the quality went down hill and barely managed to get through the food. I felt terrible I took my loved ones to eat here when I could spend the same amount elsewhere for better quality.. I meant what do you expect from a buffet but for the price, can definitely find better places elsewhere.

At first it as a great experience. But then, after we got home. 3 of 5 people in our family got sick. I stayed up all night vomiting. It was awful. Didn’t feel like they’re fresh. Probably the oysters that made us sick because the other ones in our family didn't eat oysters and they’re still fine. It was not worth it with the money we spent here.

I haven’t been back here in a few years and sadly, this place is a pitiful shell of its former self. The variety of food has been cut drastically, and what was there just sat drying out under heat lamps without being replenished for long times. I was warned not to return, but I guess I had to find out the hard way.

This was our FAVORITE place 10 years ago when it was Tokyo One. Went back to celebrate my daughters birthday. It was horrible, I was really trying to find something to eat. Rancid, oysters, water logged crab legs with shrunken meat. I was like how did they make crab legs empty 😆 it was actually so bad it got hilarious. I'm in the restaurant industry. I loved the old Tokyo One. We would go there often or Fogo next door. Well never again. They acted nice at first. My daughter and I ate a bite of everything on the plate looking for something not rotten or cold. I asked the server to take the plates away. She said you didn't like it? I said no it's rotten. She is the one that went and got the manager I didn't ask. I told the manager I was fine I would just try and eat the crab. At that point I hadn't tried the crab legs. They looked great and fresh. I cracked the first couple and great cold crab legs seemed fresh. Then the 3rd 4th 5th crab legs were empty 😆😆 I was like ok. I will speak with the manager now. My son in law ate his food, his was mainly rice and meat. Myself and my two daughters did not eat just tasted and gave the server back full plates. The manager came back and I had her take almost a full plate if crab legs. The manager offered us to go boxes, gift card I declined. She took off one plate and 20%. My daughters did vomit in the bathroom before left. It was just so bad. Look I would totally accept this food at a 20$ cheapo Chinese buffet. But not at their prices. Ridiculous. Zero STARS

Staff were nice but there is no universe where this food is worth $100 for 2 people. Unfortunately the quality is just not there. Seasoning was bland on the noodles, sushi was worse than deli sushi from Brookshires, need I go on? If you want endless crab legs and raw fish, then sure. But if you’re hoping the other items will be good, save your money and eat from the ready to go section of the grocery store, you’d probably enjoy it more.

T
Thao Dang

The sushi was okay. Nothing really different from other Chinese restaurant buffet. Kind of hard but the sashimi was good. Especially the white tuna. Ramen/noodle bar. You make yourself and can add different toppings to it. Not bad. The buffet itself was cold and not really appetizing. There were sitting out under the heat lamp for a while. The seafood part like the crab stir fir was drenched in sauce. The tempera shrimp, broccoli, sweet potatoes, was good in flavor but stale and cold The dessert bar was very average. I did really love their Panna cotta dessert. We came in to eat for a party of 6. It was almost $50 a person for this buffet. Overall I didn't feel like it was money well spent when I could have went to a 15$ buffet and gotten similar quality. I found a few items here and there, but it was cold, sauced, or hard. I was really excited to take my friends out here because they have ramen, sushi, hibachi, etc. And I remembered when I went around five years ago and it was amazing. Maybe we went on a bad night.

Food tasted old. The shellfish and crab legs seemed like they were a few days old. My partner got food poisoning from the oysters. I would avoid if you can.

Just wasted $200 here. I must steer others from the experience here. This is by far the probably the worst food I’ve had in my life. Basic Chinese buffets that don’t even specialize in Japanese food will have better sushi, seafood, and basically every other item available. They must be fabricating the reviews. I don’t see how logically anyone can be up voting this low quality. I’m speechless. Everything smelled like the old fish and there were flies around the food. Everything was bland, flavorless and cold. Go to Japan House, go to Ohayo, go to Umiya even a Chinese buffet that doesn’t specialize in sushi like King Buffet has better sushi. What a disappointment.

I was trying to pick up some food and there were sesame seeds scattered around, and when I looked, there were flies.

My family's been coming to the Osaka buffet for 20 years but last week was the worst experience. The two Thai waitresses there cursed at us in Thai, and one of my relatives spoke Thai to understand what they were saying when they were not around us. Whatever conflicts between our two countries in the motherland have to do with us, we are here to enjoy Osaka's delicious foods not this experience. We don't want them to give the same treatment to people of our race while dining at Osaka. We won't be coming here again.

C

First let me start by saying Im thankful I did not eat here. My girlfriend and her friend ate here for dinner on 12/20 and had oysters, even after noticing what looked like a weird film on top of them. The next day her friend was vomiting and had diarrhea to the point she went to the urgent care. The day after that my girlfriend was vomiting and had diarrhea. BEWARE OF THE SEAFOOD HERE! I decided to check the reviews and low and behold others have had the same experience. I would not spend the time to write this review to bash a restaurant unless I had clear evidence that this place was the cause of two people getting sick...two healthy people who got food poisoning directly after eating here...no need to try and defend yourself Osaka...just get it together!

Mohammed Suratwala

The food was pretty mediocre for the price. They charge you 42.99$ for a dinner buffet. And the quality they provide is of half the value. I would not recommend this place. You’d be better off going to an Asian buffet spot that would charge you around 20$ for the buffet. They have way more variety and the quality is apt for the price. Places like King buffet, Uno Chinese are good.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE My mom and I just left Osaka Sushi & Grill in Addison, and we are both incredibly disappointed. I am a huge foodie, but I honestly couldn’t enjoy the food here. This place used to be a reliable staple back at their old location, but ever since they moved to Addison, the quality has completely tanked. It is clear they have cut corners, and the "Osaka" we used to love is officially gone. The "Rubber Ring" & Grill Disasters The food quality was unacceptable across the board: The Grilled Squid Rings: These were the absolute worst part. They were honestly disgusting and tasted like they belonged in the trash. It was like chewing on a piece of industrial rubber; I have never had squid prepared so poorly. Grilled Shrimp Skewers: These were so incredibly salty they were almost impossible to eat. BBQ Beef Ribs: Most of the ribs were completely burnt, leaving them tough and bitter. The Letdown Sushi: Very low quality. It felt rushed, bland, and definitely not fresh. Availability: They didn't have enough food out. The selection was mostly terrible, and the trays looked sad. The Decline: From the ingredients to the preparation, everything has gone downhill. Save your calories and your hard-earned money. Go Somewhere Worth the Trip My mom and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. If you want a buffet that is actually worth it, go here instead: King Buffet (Plano): The food has much better flavor and comes at a way cheaper price. Japan House: This is the much better choice for sushi. My mom—who usually doesn't eat much—actually really enjoyed this buffet. The taste at Japan House is so much better that we are both already planning our next visit there. Final Verdict: Save yourself the frustration. Osaka is a shadow of its former self. Skip it and head to King Buffet in Plano or Japan House instead!
