Volveremos y recomendaremos ampliamente a nuestros amigos.
Buena atención
El Ultimo Maya hotel was perfect!
Napiszę o jedzeniu bo przechodziliśmy i tu nam się spodobało. Jedzonko bardzo dobre. Polecam. Obsługa super miła.
Hotel fantastico!! Sopratutto grazie a Marco e Mariele!! Torneremo sicuramente!!!!!
Best place in Akumal! Rooms are clean, the hotel is placed in a quite area, the owners helped us a lot and answered to all our questions. They own also the cafe down the road, tiramisu and fruit cakes are a must try!
Really great food, one of the best we had around PDC. Fish tacos amazing, quesadillas fantastic and they also have special Mayan cuisine, really fantastic and in affordable price. Great service. Highly recommend

We passed by just for drinks and got stuck for a whole delicious dinner and some more glasses of wine. Even our kids loved that place, very nice staff and authentic atmosphere.
We ate at the restaurant out front. The food is delicious and the regular margarita was fantastic. Glad we found this place.
Great fresh fish, super friendly service. We were in Akumal beach during the day and wanted to go somewhere more local/ less touristy. This place was good :)
El Último Maya Hotel is very conveniently located in the heart of the Akumal Pueblo. Marco the manager is a totally fascinating guy. Italian, he came to Mexico 4 years ago. He speaks fluent Italian, Spanish and English. He is a lot of fun to talk to and has a devoted circle of friends who come by the hotel to spend time with him. He also is an extraordinary athlete who can be seen pushing his bicycle beyond all human limits up and down the hills around Akumal. Maria the housekeeper is a tremendously sweet person who does wonderful work. The rooms are all different and interesting. The one room I especially stayed in had a gorgeous mural of ocean life. The hotel has a very sweet common area with beautiful plants and Mayan artifacts. The beautiful Amumal Bay, wonderful for swimming, snorkeling and diving is an easy 20-minute walk downhill. For the Riviera Maya, the price of the hotel is extremely competitive. I recommend this hotel very highly.
Delicious! I had avocado stuffed with fresh tuna, and my husband had some sort of Mayan seafood bake. Both delicious! The big fruit drinks are fantastic too. Service was friendly and we felt welcome.
Excellent place to enjoy traditional local food and take in the comings and goings in Akumal Pueblo. Friendly staff and good service. The coffee shop and patisserie is a separate concern but also good. Even managed to understand my limited Spanish! Highly recommended.
This restaurant bar on the strip in town, was my favorite! We both had the fajitas, I had chicken my husband steak and they were both soooo good! Service was fabulous and I would definitely eat there again. (I would of taken a picture of my food but I forgot so here is my drink instead)
Last minuteand quite late, me, my husband and our 4 year old son arrived at the hotel and restaurant. We felt very welcome from the beginning with ample explanation about the tours. It was nice to chat with them and they know what hospitality is! We stayed for 2 nights and everything was good! Keep up with the hard (and nice) work :)
I went with a group of 6 people. Some of the foods we ordered included: - shrimp stuffed avocado = This was amazing. It was so fresh, cooling and great flavours. - garlic shrimp = I believe it came with 8 pieces of shrimp, a bit of rice and some cooked veggies. The sides aren’t listed on the menu, so that was a pleasant surprise. It’s definitely a nice light meal. The shrimp tasted very good and was cooked perfectly. - shrimp tacos = My husband really enjoyed them. The shrimp were heavily breaded though. My husband didn’t mind, but a couple of my friends did remove the breading, as they felt that it would be too heavy on their stomach. (Personal choice of course). - octopus in butter = The amount of octopus you get is great! Super meaty, and it was cooked very well. My friend wished she got the one with garlic instead. She felt it needed a little more seasoning. - octopus with garlic = one of the girls ordered these, I can’t speak for her. But similar to above. - fish tacos = one of the girls ordered this dish, can’t speak for her but I believe she was happy with them. They were also breaded. Customer service was good. The server spoke a decent amount of English which was super helpful. For 6 people, including appetizers, mains and drinks, it came to around 2200 pesos. We were super happy with the overall experience. I would recommend eating her versus on the beach. More of an authentic experience.
We had planned to stay in Akumal just for a couple of days, instead we extended our stay because the atmosphere you can live it's exceptional. Marco and Lele is a lovely couple who manage the hotel and the bar restaurant below. Both are friendly and helpful with the all information you need and the dish they are selling at the restaurant are great ( Lele bakes many tipical Italian cakes that you will get addicted to it). Rooms were really nice and comfortable and we had clean service every days, ours room had the balcony as well that overlooked in the main. Really recommended.. For us was the best stay ever in Mexico!
Stopped here for a margarita and they made us Mezcal Habanero margaritas and it was quite possibly the best one mezcal margarita I've ever had!! The perfect balance of flavor and heat. Great service and vibe as well. Swings are fun for a drink, but not super comfortable to sit in for a full meal.
Amazing tacos and some of the best margaritas I had on my Mexican trip. We found this accidentally while looking for another recommendation which happen to be closed. The place was full and they were short staffed. Still managed to serve us rather quickly an amazing set of tacos and quesadillas. So good, we went there again the next day.
They're only open from 8am-7pm. The menu is small but everything on it is so wonderful. Best Nachos, awesome steak and fresh seafood, as well as wonderful service. If you are looking to taste authentic mexican art then this is the place. It's very affordable and it's on the most beautiful little street. Shout out to Gabby our most gracious host.
This place had tasty food. Prices were ok. The owners seem to do all the work of waiting the tables and taking orders. They run the whole show and are very kind. We came here back in 2015 when it had a different owner, it looks like they remodeled and tried to make it look nicer. Its a good place to sit and chat for a while if you have time, as the food takes a little longer.
Food was good but they use a bad exchange rate for tourists. Come with pesos and watch your tab. Added drinks we didn’t get, rounded up our bill and if you use a card it’s +8% (which they do tell you). When questioned on the exchange rate, there is no explanation. We had a nice meal but it ended in a bad transaction. :(

Our family of 5 ate here. We ordered various juices like Jamaica, orange, & limeade, and for food we had 2 guacamole and nachos, medium ceviche, 2 orders of quesadillas, fish tacos, and shrimp tacos. The bill came to 1380 pesos. The food was okay but ceviche was literally half tomatoes/onions and the other half fish/shrimp/squid. Felt very expensive for so little fish at 220 pesos. The fish and shrimp tacos would have been good but very heavy batter and cooked in burned oil with flecks of black burned bits. Too bad. We ended up here because the place we wanted to go was already closed for the night. Our server was very nice although not super attentive. It was the most expensive meal at 1380 pesos for our entire 2 week vacation by far! By comparison, we had MUCH better food up the road at "Tacos y Pastas Luis y Marisol" where we had 15 various tacos plus drinks for under 400pesos.
This was by far the most expensive meal of our family’s stay in Akumal, and the food was just fine. I came away pretty disappointed. But the staff is friendly, the location is nice and the place is clean and modern. We chose this spot because our first three options in town were closed :(
Chicken tacos were dry, overdone and bland. Not even served with limes or salsa, my husbands pork tacos were just as bad. Pricier than most other places in the area likely to pay for the renovations as the atmosphere is nice and seems newer. They need to seriously up their game if they are going to charge so much.
Avoid at all costs! The “mango” smoothie is basically milk with a hint of frozen mango — no mango flavor at all. The “grilled” salmon? Frozen, overcooked, and served with bland, frozen vegetables straight from the bag. The veggie quesadillas were just as tasteless, stuffed with rubbery, low-quality cheese that felt like chewing gum. We took one bite, asked for the check, and left. The waiter (likely the new manager) didn’t care to ask why, and had a grumpy waitress hand us the bill just to take our money. No goodbye, no apology — nothing.
