Excellent experience with this place. The staff was nice and the food was great. I got there when there wasn't a lot of people but slowly the came and the place was packed. Portions are large which is great because you should be with a group when eating dim sum. Parking is doable. Prices are good. Vibes are excellent.
This has been my favorite dim sum restaurant in the city in the past 10 years. The food was always super fresh, and flavorful. You can taste it in the shrimps, the fish, and everything you ordered here. With their top notch quality and i really mean it, their price is very fair and reasonable. They never tried too hard to become those ridiculous crazy expensive upscale restaurants like those in downtown either , even though their food is much better. My pride restaurant to take visiting friends, and family here any chance i could. Make sure you have a reservation ahead of time.
had to write a review after coming back 3 times. not only is the food SO GOOD with a large variety of items, but our server jackie, was so great. he was very attentive, quick, and you can tell he’s just great at what he does. i looove the chili oil wontons, lava egg custard buns, garlic string beans, and the sweet and sour spare ribs. they are very accommodating for large groups, as we had a birthday dinner here in october with around 25 people. just make sure you reserve in advance! for our birthday dinner, he brought us mango ice cream with candles and sang happy birthday 🤣 the tea is good, very fragrant, the atmosphere is great for celebrations or gatherings, and the food again, is really great.
aside from the prompt service, the variety of teas to choose from, and the perfectly sized menu (imo i get sooo overwhelmed by most dim sum menus), the decor and vibes of the place are unique and different. my favorite was definitely the crispy pork belly (you HAVE to try it), green beans, chicken wings, soya tofu, and specialty har gow. the XLB were not the best i've had, but i do enjoy the creativity. street parking is ass as always in richmond, but on a sunday at 2pm, there wasn't a wait and the service was better than expected of a dim sum establishment. bill came out to be around $120 for 3, which is really really worth it for the quality of the food. probably my favorite dim sum in the bay!! definitely coming back for more
From out of town and tried a wide assortment of things! Not pictured, roasted squab, so delicious! Everything was delicious and if you want to experience sf in one sitting, Dragon Beaux is the place to go! I recommend making a reservation since this is a popular spot to eat, once seated the service is very attentive! Great atmosphere for a celebration or even a casual meal!
I am a particularly big fan of Chinese food and my family decided to eat here for my sister’s birthday and I love the food here so much. The service was very nice and the overall ambiance of the place was excellent for a Chinese restaurant. I give them five stars ⭐️. I highly recommend them for dinner.
expensive but amazing dim sum! all but one of the dishes were tasty and food came out quickly. if you’re willing to spend a little more to ensure good dim sum, dragon beaux is the spot. special shoutout to their homemade chilli sauce, top tier! would come again on special occasions. enjoyed: shrimp rice rolls, har gow, jumbo scallop siu mai, chicken wings, egg yolk custard bun, xlb, chinese broccoli would skip: egg tarts, pork rice rolls, chive dumplings
We came to Dragon Beaux after seeing fellow Vinkin's beautiful food photos. That guy is pretty awesome. The main attraction was the sand storm crab $49. At my age, it is hard to find something new. I've never heard of sand storm crab before. It was a deep fried crab with cilantro, minced garlic, scallions, peppers and fermented black beans. Fermented black beans is typically used in dishes like stir-fried clams. The sand storm crab was not bad. It was really oily. Still, tasty nevertheless. The other two dishes we had were the seafood crispy noodles $24 and honey pepper wings $13. Both were OK. The bonus was the free unexpected ice cream at the end of the meal. The restaurant is clean, no wait on a Tuesday night with excellent service and a speedy kitchen. Great meal.
Came here for a birthday dinner - we ordered the Chinese banquet course menu and everything was absolutely delicious. We had the classic meats from char siu pork, Hainanese chicken, Peking duck, crispy pork belly, along with fish maw soup, abalone with mushrooms, beef with peppers, fried rice, etc. Not one dish was a miss. I visited a while ago for their dim sum and found it to be just okay for the price. But now I’ll be coming back for their regular dinner menus.
A wonderful place for top notch dim sum! Arrived 15 minutes before opening and there was a queue already waiting on. Saturday morning. Every party in line was seated when the doors opened. Nice, elegant ambiance. We were lucky to get the booth seating with nice padded benches and carved stone accents. I'm guessing it's because we made reservations in advance. Great selection of teas to order. No rolling carts, items are ordered from the menu and brought to your table. Great selection of items, from the typical traditional items to some more unique items. All were delicious, served hot fresh from the kitchen. Our favorites include the fried sea bass cubes, spinach sesame flatbread, crispy roast pork, and beef brisket stew on rice rolls. Service was excellent and attentive. The staff were fluent in both English and Chinese. We ordered a lot to sample the dishes but took the remainder home. Staff expertly packed up the food for us at the table. Well worth the trip and treat for a great meal.
Excellent, reasonably priced dim sum in a lovely dining room! I made a reservation at the last minute and still got a table for my friend and me right before they closed for the afternoon. Service is quick; before one dish was finished, they'd bring out the next. Everything was tasty, and I'd love to come back sometime with a group.
Extensive menu of din sum and traditional Chinese dishes. Everything we had was extremely fresh and flavorful. You order by marking your requested items on a paper menu. The server then takes that menu back, places the order in the computer, and places the slip back on your table. Items are brought out as they are done and crossed off the slip. Get ready to stuff your face because it is all tasty. Highly recommend the garlic green beans as they are as addictive as crack! Good amount of on street parking. Definitely worth the trip and can't wait to go back
The decor is quite chic for a dim sum restaurant. The dim sum quality is excellent too.

Phenomenal food, outstanding service. Best Chinese food EVER. Never disappoints! Make sure you try the pork xiao long and the pan fried wagyu and Peking duck!

Made a reservation for 6pm on the day before thanksgiving. Good thing I did because the restaurant was packed. However by 7:30pm, a lot of the groups left. On this day they had a thanksgiving menu. Which just means the menu was limited but still had a lot of options. We wanted salted egg yolk crab but they only offered ginger scallion or steamed with garlic. However the menu had a QR code linking to their full menu so that was confusing. Dim sum was still offered in the evening but none of the tables I’ve seen had ordered any. It’s not officially crab season yet so our crab was small. However it was fresh and cooked perfectly. The crab was $49. We also ordered the lobster with e-fu noodles for $48. Lobster was also very fresh and done perfectly. Not overcooked or rubbery. The noodles were also not too soft. It had a ton of ginger though which I ended up picking out. Although the staffs were busy, the crab came out 15 minutes after ordering. Then the lobster 6 minutes later. However staffs were not attentive. We had to ask for extra napkins, a shell cracker and for plates to be cleared. Also I think they should use slightly bigger plates for dinner service. Tea is $1.95/pp.
My review may be a little unfair as maybe my ideal Chinese place is probably more "American" then I realize and I don't understand all the different types of Chinese restaurants. But the food was fine but not what I had envisioned. Couldn't ask for a better staff and so friendly but the options were overwhelming and left a little unsatisfied but no fault on them
I made a reservation for lunch on a weekday. It's really not necessary if you get there at opening time. There were several already waiting and standing in a distributed queue but once the doors were unlocked everyone seemed to know who got there first. There appear to be some dim sum favorites that are ready at 11am. One of them is the har gow which was promptly placed at our table right after we submitted our order sheet. The 5 star dishes were the shrimp dumpling (har gow), char siu crepe and the stir-fried green beans. The taro puff, tofu roulette, beef bao and 5-guys xiaolongbao were 4-stars. The condiments like Zhenjiang vinegar for xiaolongbao and red rice vinegar came served in shallow dishes upon request. There's nothing placed on the table to start. The service was quick with many people attending to food delivery, dish removal, hot water addition to our tea pot. The vibe of the place is lively and energetic because of the clientele that are meeting up with friends and family and work colleagues.
We had a Sunday dim sum brunch here. They take reservations online for a party of up to 6 people and over the phone as well. When we showed up, we were seated immediately. The interior decor was tasteful and soon the restaurant was full. There were no dim sum carts being pushed around. Everything needs to be ordered on the menu with a pencil. The dim sum items were generally all very good. The BBQ buns, soup dumplings, spinach dumplings, rice crepes stuffed with shrimp or beef, spring rolls, eggplants stuffed with shrimp paste, etc were all delicious, even better with their mildly spicy chili sauce. The Peking duck took a while to serve and the waiter explained it was made to order. The duck was very juicy but the only caveat is that the duck meat still had bones, which was not how authentic Peking duck is served. The price is on the higher end for dim sum foods, but the restaurant website said they use higher quality ingredients.

Not as great as I'd hoped. It was too loud inside and the parking was horrendous (took us over 30 minutes to find a spot.) Staff wasn't welcoming. It felt like they couldn't wait to get rid of us, so can seat the next party. The dim sum was ok. I've had better. A plus, the restaurant seemed clean. Won't bother going back.
The food was hit or miss. The grouper was good but was not cleanly deboned. The chow fun lacked seasoning. The soup dumplings were tasty. As was the squid. The service wasn’t great. Our servers did their job but they were neither attentive nor friendly. The ambiance wasn’t bad but it wasn’t particularly good. There were workers trying to fix something on the side. We were seated by the entrance so it was quite chilly. Probably won’t return.
I was deeply disappointed with the Peking Duck here. What they serve is not the real deal. A genuine Beijing roast duck should be expertly sliced tableside into thin, crispy pieces of skin and meat. However, this restaurant simply serves chopped-up chunks of roast duck. Furthermore, an authentic experience involves wrapping the duck in thin, delicate pancakes with spring onions and hoisin sauce. Sadly, they served it with thick, steamed buns ("mantou"), which is completely incorrect and makes for a very starchy and unbalanced bite. If you are looking for an authentic Peking Duck experience, I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. This was a poor imitation.

Fell victim to dishonest billing which is why I've decided to write this negative review- it really upsets me when restaurants pull this trick on customers. The food itself was overall tasty. The service was spotty but as expected for the typical chinese restaurant. The decor was a bit nicer than the usual chinese restaurant. I had taken my visiting out-of-town friends there as this place had good reviews, and I wanted to make sure they had good dim sum. Since the wait staff could tell that I was going to be the one paying given that I was the sole Chinese person ordering for the entire table of non-asians, at the end of the meal, they presented me with the check and indicated that they already added the tip to the check. While it may be standard to add a tip to a group larger than 6, they did not disclose that ahead of time and just presented me with the bill of $304 for 5 adults and 2 children (ages 2 and 5), which was ridiculously expensive for lunch dim sum considering the 2 children barely ate so effectively it was $304 for 5 adults = $60/person for lunch dim sum, and we definitely didn't order any fancy dishes, just the usual standard ones. Since my guests were all there, I didn't want to make a scene and ask for the itemized bill and double check to make sure they accurately accounted for each dish and didn't overcharge me, so I just paid it, but I know that there is no way that the amount of food we ordered justified the $60/person charge, even with taxes, health mandate, mandatory tip, etc. Even if this place really didn't dishonestly overcharge me (which is unlikely), there is NO WAY I would go back there or take any more visitors there to eat brunch dim sum for $60/person. There are so many other places with delicious dim sum which cost far less and more importantly, would not take advantage of the situation where they knew that I probably would not contest the bill given that my guests were there. I definitely would never go back and support such unethical business practice! Would give negative stars if I could!
