Great food and service! We got chicken satay, fried chicken over fried rice and pad kee-mao. Food was tasty and good value for money. Definitely recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic Thai restaurant that exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service, which set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. For my meal, I started with the duck noodles. The dish was a symphony of flavors, with tender, succulent duck pieces nestled in perfectly cooked noodles. The broth was rich and aromatic, making every bite a delight. Next, I tried the chicken with cashew nuts and rice. This dish was a perfect balance of textures and flavors. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, complemented by the crunch of fresh cashew nuts. The accompanying rice was fluffy and cooked to perfection, making it a satisfying and hearty dish. Finally, I indulged in the green curry with chicken and rice. The curry was a masterpiece, with a creamy, spicy sauce that was both vibrant and comforting. The chicken was tender and absorbed the curry's flavors beautifully, while the rice served as the perfect accompaniment to soak up every bit of the delicious sauce. In addition to the fantastic food, the restaurant’s service was outstanding. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. I also appreciated that the restaurant stays open late, making it a great option for a late-night meal. Overall, I highly recommend this Thai restaurant for its delicious food, excellent service, and convenient hours. It’s a place I’ll definitely be returning to soon!

By far the best Thai food in San Francisco, the fried chicken over fried rice and the panang/green curry, the noodle dishes: all done exquisitely. Been coming here for years and they never disappoint on depth of flavor

Left me with a great impression. Chicken satay was meaty and super juicy. Mango sticky rice was awesome. Rice is made with pandan and has just the right amount of salt (taste) to balance the sweetness of the coconut milk and mango. I’d come back to try more of their menu and when I have a bigger appetite. Staff are kind and very welcoming too!

Nice, clean Thai spot. We ordered the duck salad, crab fried rice, and panang curry with pork. The duck salad came out right away, but not enough greens. Decent portion of duck, but would be nice to not run out of cabbage or lettuce. The panang curry was mild in flavor, not the usual panang curry I had in other places. Crab salad was our favorite. Three dishes for two people, with a little bit of leftover. The menu is extensive. I would come back to try other items, like the noodle soup.

It was an impromptu dinner here few days ago , had a tasty meal , I only wish they have more on the menu. There aren’t enough choices . Chicken satay is really good along with the peanut sauce which is my favorite. The crispy calamari was a little sweetish , I didn’t like it so much. Ample seating area , good staff and there’s street parking as well .

I have been coming here for years, but this was my first time back after several years. I am happy to report that their duck fried rice is still as delicious as before. On this recent visit, we also ordered pumpkin chicken curry, and pork rad nar. The curry was nice and full of flavor. The rad nar was just average. There was a little too much sauce for my liking and the noodles were missing the smokiness that comes from a scorching hot wok. The duck fried rice, however, will keep me coming back.

We've been going to the King of Thai group of restaurants for decades one of which closed (Sloat), Taraval (food quality took a dive), downtown, North Beach (closed), the original down the block, and this location. This is by no means our first time here so we know what to expect going in. The petite Thai lady is always gracious and sweet, the younger heavier set girl is just doing the job, not unpleasant, just ok. Pad Thai (not pictured) is always good. - Crab fried rice, solid and flavorful. - Pad Ma Keur was a little soy heavy this time but I love to get it. It is sauteed eggplant with basil, sweet dark soy based sauce with peppers (not really spicy, you can add your own chili sauces), and I like to get it with ground pork as my meat choice. - Pra Ram Gai (chicken, slightly sweet/savory peanut sauce) has a good flavor, sauce is good but, we dislike the use of Chinese broccoli vs the traditional spinach which is much better. That's the only real but significant knock on that dish if you are accustomed to having it that way. - Crab Rangoon, my kid's choice is tasty but as usual she eats them all so can't say much except they must be good, she wouldn't wipe them out if they weren't. Decor isn't anything to behold but we come to eat, not dine. Good later evening dinner savior!

Overall: Great Thai restaurant in San Francisco. Tough parking and gets crowded during dinner time. You get a lot of food for the price you pay. Food: The Pad-z-ew was delicious. It is basically pad-see-ew. They don't over/under cook it here. Just to give you a heads up, the soup bowl is humongous. It's big as a head. Tom Kha soup mostly taste like coconut. It taste refreshing and slightly sweet. I wouldn't see myself eating it often. The Tom Yum soup is the better flavor of the soup and has a slight kick. The green curry is sweet, but I prefer the yellow curry. You can't go wrong with either or. Always use the chicken as the source of meat. The beef, pork, and seafood will alter the taste. The sticky rice with mango dessert is delicious. Worth getting after your main course. Drink: The lychee tea is delicious and comes with actual lychee! It's like getting the drink at a milk tea spot. Worth a try. Service: Our waitress was nice. She was quick to help us on everything. Majority of our food came out quick except the soup. It felt like they forgot our soup. They didn't apologized or asked if we still wanted it. That was the only gripe I had with this place. Ambience: Very warm and loud inside. They use warm light and xmas lights with wooden furnitures. The seating area is opened with plenty of seats. When you are inside, you don't even feel like you are on Clement street. Parking: Horrible. You are fighting for parking with the neighborhood and shops around it. This place is in dire need of some parking structure. Good luck on finding a parking spot. I would recommend ubering or Lyft to the place.

Good Thai food that will get the job done. Service was good and location great. Not the best Thai I've had but cannot complain at all. I'd give a 4.5 stars if I could.

I would give 5 stars if the beef’s quality is better. As you can see from my photo, the beef is not really good in quality. You can get much better quality beef from the Vietnamese noodles cross the street or another Thai food restaurant nearby 8th Ave. Will probably not come back.

Was craving for some Thai so I found this spot on Google. A lot of the Thai places in the city open around 5. Glad this one was open. Not too busy as I came in for a late lunch early dinner. Got the pad gra pow and tom yum. Service was very friendly. Food came out quick. Huge bowl of tom yum. Perfectly seasoned. The shrimp was a little over cooked. Lots of mushrooms as I like it. Hot and fresh. So good! The gra pow was good. I think it could’ve used more flavor like garlic, onions and black pepper. was on the sweet side and felt like it was missing something. Either way good meal and will return to try other items.

I was really looking forward to trying King's Thai after a friend recommended highly, but to be honest, I'd found everything that came out of the kitchen - including even the Thai iced tea - to be disappointing. Since it was my first time, I stayed with some basics: som tum, pad see ew and pineapple fried rice. The som tum was... fine. Not sliced thinly enough and the flavor didn't hit as I am used to. The pad see ew was also adequate - probably the best of the three dishes but nothing spectacular. And the pineapple fried rice was bland. Even the Thai iced tea was watered down in its flavor, so this place is lucky to even get three stars from me. The service was good - absolutely no complaints there. We were served immediately, and the server got the order (which had some particular twists) 100% right. Frankly put: in a place like San Francisco, you could throw a rock and hit three Thai places with better food than this.

I have to start saying that the service here is very bad, I ordered a TOM YUM soup mainly because it had mushrooms and when I received it had 0 when I asked the server she said that i was probably an old manu and the soup didn't have mushrooms anymore... they still charged me full price and didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. I do have to say that the yellow curry and rice are delicious the flavor is rich and not overwhelming. The place has a lots of sitting areas and it is clean. I don't know how I feel about the place thanks to the experience but the food was delicious.

I was looking for a Thai place in the area, after googling and locating the restaurant I parked six blocks away, difficult to find parking close by. I had the Egg Fried Rice and the chicken green curry, food was good not overly spicy, the curry comes with steam rice so I took the fried Rice home with me. Service was ok and the restrooms were clean.

I used to love this place. Key words: Used to. I was just in Chiang Mai in June/July and was missing some Thai food. Stopped for some fish cakes and was thinking about soup since it turned into another dark, cold day. I ordered the fish cakes to start and they were so awful. I mean just tasteless and I got a whiff of old oil they were fried in when the plate arrived. They were too hard and rubbery to cut with a fork so I had to ask for a knife which is typical in Thailand, so that's ok but man. Inedible. They came with what looked like 1 tablespoon of the cucumber red onion hot sauce and it looked like the kind of sauce you buy in a bottle so again, just sickly sweet and tasteless. There was a tiny pile of thinly shaved cabbage with equally thinly shaved carrots which looked good but it was dry. NO nothing on it to perk it up. I was going to order more but I just couldn't after that rubbery-hard fishcake. Oddly what I love about fishcakes is that rubbery-ness but only when they're freshly made, not from a frozen package from an Asian market. So no points for tasteless food. I had been there right before I left for Thailand and ordered Tom Ka Gai and WOW. Coconut milk, cilantro and big chunks of overcooked chicken. No galangal root, lemongrass peppercorn, fish sauce, lime or well...just any ingredient that makes that soup taste good. I guess that's it for me for King's Thai #2 on Clement. I make such a good bowl of Tom Ka Gai which means I am back to making it myself. Oh and what's up with ONE flimsy little napkin? Why? Terrible napkins. The thin useless napkin was served in a basket. What? Get with it, King's Thai.

I can only speak regarding an Uber eats delayed delivery, late night Thanksgiving 2024. The Tom-Kha Soup was odd tasting. The soup base itself was bland. Not much lemongrass flavor, but the lime was definitely playing a starring role 😆 There was plenty of mushrooms and chicken. It was extremely obvious that they just whip up a basic coconut milk base and then add an already cooked protein that's potentially not kept at a safe temperature. In basic terms, I got a horrible stomach ache and then burning diarrhea last night and this morning. Not fun 🤨

Yikes I found a cockroach in my curry. I've lived in the neighborhood for 15+ years and have eaten here a bunch. Definitely more after the Clement and 8th location closed. Got $50 worth of curry and soup as takeout for my family for dinner later, and found a cockroach in my bowl. Thank goodness it wasn't in my kid's bowl. I emailed the restaurant/owner weeks ago, with photos, kindly, to let them know they may need to address their kitchen sanitation practices - but never heard back. Sad to say I won't be back.

Ordered from grub hub. Ordered 2 appetizers and 4 mains. Crab fried rice. Crab so shredded couldn't find it. Couldn't taste much crab. $20 Rad nar noodle. Threw out the whole thing. $17. Tasteless noodles in a carton with big container of cornstarch thickened water with some beef so tough i couldn't eat it. It is supposed to be tender. Tom yum soup reported ok. Papaya salad also ok. Served to out of town guests. Not good impression. I thought clement street restaurant would be tasty. Wish i could get a refund.
