Opiniones de Palmyra Restaurant Alameda
We ordered several appetizers, a falafel platter, Turkish coffee, and dessert. Everything we had was excellent! I’d highly recommend this restaurant.
The woman at the counter was incredibly kind, warm and friendly. You can tell they care about the business and making you feel comfortable while your there. The food was fresh, the flavors were bright and I ended up eating way more than I should've! That hummus I could've eaten by itself. Super smooth and delicious. The salad with perfect. Vegetables were delicious! We brought it to out father in the hospital and it made his evening.
I was really impressed with the falafel plate here. Every item tasted fresh and full of simple, clean flavor. The team working here is genuinely kind, and the relaxed counter service setup makes the whole visit feel comfortable and easy. I left completely satisfied and will definitely return.
I would definitely come back here and get the falafel wrap again! Great combination of flavors and textures, very enjoyable. I ordered online for pickup and made a note about my allergy; the man behind the cash register was good about checking in with me about this and making sure I felt secure in my order. I could tell the service is very friendly and personable. I was in a rush to something so couldn’t engage in a chat but if I had time, I probably would have. Lots of indoor seating, a bit of outdoor seating. Just a note to the business: if you can make your signage any bigger or more visible, especially being on a corner, I think it would bring more business! I was following Google maps and still walked right past it and then had to backtrack because the signage wasn’t very visible to me. Another friend who frequents this area said she’s been around a lot of places and never knew a Mediterranean place was nearby. Y’all have great food- advertise more boldly if possible!
Highly recommend! I come here often because it has great food, kind hosts, and ample space/seating. Very comfortable place to eat, sit and read or chat with friends. I’ve tried the rotisserie chicken, lamb shawarma, and kofta platter - all were delicious, though my personal favourite is lamb shawarma. A special shout out goes to the cashier worker/server who is always warm, smiling, and extremely welcoming! Really appreciate his kindness and hard work. Owner is also lovely.
Palmyra is a Syrian culinary treasure, serving exceptional kibbeh, a vibrant mezze plate, and an exquisite kunafa dessert. The kibbeh, Syria’s national dish, is a masterpiece—perfectly spiced lamb and bulgur balls, fried to a golden crisp with a tender, flavorful core that bursts with aromatic depth. Palmyra’s commitment to authenticity shines through in every bite, making it unforgettable. The mezze plate is a delightful medley, featuring creamy hummus, zesty fattoush, and smoky baba ghanoush, all paired with warm, freshly baked pita. The interplay of textures and tangy seasonings creates a true Levantine feast. The star, however, is the kunafa—a heavenly dessert of shredded phyllo layered with gooey cheese, soaked in rosewater-infused syrup, and sprinkled with pistachios. Its perfect balance of sweetness and texture is pure bliss. Palmyra’s warm, Syrian-inspired ambiance enhances the experience, making every visit feel like a cultural embrace. For anyone seeking authentic Syrian cuisine, Palmyra’s kibbeh, mezze plate, and kunafa are must-tries that deliver joy and flavor in every mouthful. This is a destination that celebrates Syria’s rich culinary heritage with passion and precision.
Palmyra - A Hidden Gem for Middle Eastern Cuisine ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the pleasure of dining at Palmyra in San Francisco, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was absolutely phenomenal, and the customer service was equally impressive. The Dishes: The flavors were authentic and rich, with everything cooked to perfection. The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful, the lentil soup was perfectly spiced, and the kabobs were juicy and seasoned just right. The hummus was creamy with a delightful hint of sumac, and the fresh cucumber-tomato salad balanced the meal beautifully. Every dish was plated with care and served fresh. Customer Service: The staff (Br Yasir) was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were quick to accommodate requests and made us feel like valued guests. Ambiance: The restaurant offers a cozy and inviting environment, perfect for a casual dinner or a special gathering. If you’re in SF and looking for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine with exceptional service, Palmyra is a must-visit. Highly recommended—this place is a true culinary treasure!
What’s not to love about this spot? I’ve been visiting for years, rotating between the Syrian style chicken shawarma wrap or the half rotisserie chicken plate and I’m legit never let down. This place is very consistent. They offer all around Super fair prices, with a big portion size, everything is well seasoned and fresh and the staff are all extremely nice. Just a solid, to the point, delicious middle eastern meal. Best part is that it’s not greasy at all either. Also low key one is the best hummus I’ve had. It’s a place you’ll feel good supporting, give them some support, you won’t regret eating here. The plate in my photo literally only cost $15, you can’t ask for more!
Palmyra has my absolute favorite falafels. I've been coming here for yearsssss. Their falafels are fresh made and served piping hot with delicious hummus and cucumber salad. I love their shawarma wraps, platters, and rotisserie chicken meals are great to share. I always must have a few extra falafel and baklava to go.
Place was clean, with four customer tables inside and two outside. Numerous takeouts occurred while I waited. Good selection on menu. Ordered the roasted half-chicken. Came with pita (1) a cup of cucumber salad, half cup of hummus and garlic sauce - also 1oz cup of hot sauce (cayenne?) but it detracted from the flavors. Also ordered three fresh made/cooked falafel. Chicken was tender with crispy skin and very flavorful, cucumbers were crisp and the hummus was very smooth. The falafel was absolutely cosmic. Highly recommended.
Very eclectic decorating in this small Mediterranean restaurant. A nice selection of food fare and decent sized portions. I really like the falafel I ordered ( $1 a piece as an app) and my shawarma platter. Could have used some more pita though. Partner was happy with their chicken shawarma wrap.
I'll keep it simple. We discovered this place (via Grubhub) two weeks ago when we found ourselves wanting something cheap & quick. Commensurate with those qualifications were our expectations, which we kept low while ordering a lamb shawarma platter and a chicken kebab platter, together totaling just shy of $25, with an estimated delivery time of 35-40 minutes. So we were pleasantly surprised when our order arrived in about 25 minutes, looking and tasting like a million bucks. That was two weeks ago. Tonight we ordered from them again, and ordered the exact same platters. And they arrived - again - in about 25 minutes, with everything looking and tasting absolutely sublime. (The attached photos are from this second order, which was somehow even better than the first from two weeks ago.) How's that for consistency? Just outstanding, all around, by any metric. Definitely highly recco'd. 💯👍
