Opiniones de Austin Street Pizza Albans
Great pizza. Probably one of the best in Forest Hills. Especially the square spicy pepperoni. Love the tomato sauce they use and the pizza dough is nice and airy. Definitely worth a try if you are in the neighborhood.
The best pizza I've ever had. Being from Queens/ Middle Village area, that's saying alot. After doing some research, its all about the ingredients. They spend more for fresh ingredients and use high end olive oil. My favorite is the Cup n Char!
The pizza was out of this world. I was in the area yesterday and a friend of mine recommended that if you want one of the best slices of pizza in queens go here. I had two slices of the Sicilian Margherita pizza and It was heaven. I definitely will come back here again.
Amazing pizza and unbelievable hospitality from the restaurant! I had some trouble with my order which most likely happened because of me clumsy, but the manager(or maybe the owner?) took it like it is his own issue to solve together. From ASP(lol), my favorites from the menu are their Vodka sauce pizza and burrata cheese salad but whatever I get, I be happy. I moved to NY few months ago, and as NY style pizza lover, I wanted to explore other many pizza places, but honestly I stopped looking after experiencing Austin Street Pizza.
I've always been a loyal customer to Danis pizza. And i never thought to give Austin st pizza a shot since I'm a big believer of old pizzeria's have the best pizza...... But i must say, this place has freaking amazing pizza. This pizza place makes Dave Portnoy style pizza, thin, crispy hot pizza . I do hate the location though. its tough to find parking in that area so it makes it tough to just stop by on your way home and grab a slice. You kind of need to be in that area already to be able to go in and grab a slice. But i would 100% recommend trying this place out.
Nicest people ever! My little nephew and myself enjoys a pizza or two there 2-3 times a week. They always greet us w/ a smile and remembers to cut our pizzas in small bites. You would love the pizzas and the folks there. Great service. Come through...😘
Great pizza, one of the best in Queens for sure.
After the closing of another great pizza place on Austin Street and another one on Continental Avenue, I was wondering if our choices were limited, but Austin Street Pizza 🍕 is far better than I imagined! I have tried many selections, never disappointed. I only regret that this place didn't open sooner. For those who love a great slice or two, enjoy yourself. Many neighbors in my building are regular patrons. Everyone is pleased. Even reheated the next day, it's even tastier IF anything is left over. Their holiday decorations are a festive addition, too!
Love this place! Been coming here since opening day and never been disappointed. Great ingredients, Great atmosphere and the staff is the best! Always warm and willing to go the extra mile. I even had them cater multiple birthday parties. Hands down my favorite pizza spot in Forest Hills!
I was on business in NYC for a few weeks. I had a place in Queens and of course had a list of places/recommendations to eat my way through. I heard a lot of good things about this place after learning of its existence. I had the truffle, 4cheese, original and the pesto margherita. I must say, it was above average to say the least and ive tried some of the cities finest pizza.
Absolutely loved my experience here! The pizza was fire! fresh, flavorful, & perfectly cooked. but what really made it stand out was the service. Kira was amazing! super helpful, friendly, & went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Great customer service like that is rare these days. Will definitely be coming back!
My husband is gluten free. We decided to check and see if they made a gluten free pizza. We ordered a regular plain cheese, gluten free. We got 6 Sicilian slices. The cost was $23.00, a little pricey, but 100% worth it. The crust was excellent and the sauce was very good. One of the best slices of pizza we have had in a long time. We will definitely go again.
Great pizza! They always make the pies fresh and it's best to have it right then. My favorite is the truffle pizza! It is a small space though, so it gets rowdy easily.
Pretty damn nice marg pesto square. Really liked the airy crust, didn't feel heavy at all. Wish the marinara sauce was a bit more concentrated/thicker, but otherwise very solid.
My eight-year-old son and I were searching for good pizza in the Forest Hills neighborhood. We found Austin Street Pizza and decided to give it a try, as we had never been there. My son says “this is awesome!” he really liked it, especially the soft crust and the flavors of the pizza. He said he would definitely recommend it. He got a plain slice (his favorite), and I got the grandma pesto slice. My slice was really good, with a nice dough texture very savory toppings.
I feel this is the best place in Forest Hills to get pizza. I ordered a margarita slice and a pepperoni slice, and they came out of the oven fresh and warm. The crust was crunchy, and the crunch emphasized the taste of the tomato sauce and cheese. Nothing was burnt, and I have been here multiple times with family and friends. While seating availability is low, I like the design and atmosphere of the place and how they decorate for the holidays. Definity come here if you are looking for extremely good pizza.
They truly make some of the BEST pizza around. The pesto grandma's square is the perfect combination of crunch, chewiness and flavor. Hands down my favorite pie in the borough.
I’m not gonna lie, this is my 7th time coming here and I was gonna take a shot of my pizza and post it but I couldn’t wait to eat it, so you just get the one pik of the inside with the pie in the corner, maybe next time I’ll post one up or just come in and take your own pik. Yes the pizza is so damn good it’s not even worth waiting for a pik. lol. Staff and cashier is super helpful and friendly so it will always be a pleasure.
Popped in for some late night slices and it hit the spot. Just walk in, point to what you want and they heat it up for ya. The two slices I got were just overwhelmingly delicious... I'm not sure if it's because I was ravenous or if I was very much not sober but it was a 10/10 experience haha. Food: 8/10 Service: 6/10 Vibes: 5/10 Value: 7/10
An absolute gem for pizza in Forest Hills. I especially like the "NY 2.0 slice". The fresh basil really lifts the pizza up above a standard cheese slice. Slices are usually crispy, with just the right amount of char. The toppings taste fresh and are generously portioned. They offer a variety of unique and classic options and combos, with something for everyone. The atmosphere is laid-back and casual, ideal for grabbing a slice with friends or a relaxed meal. The staff is friendly, and service is quick, even during busy times. Only down side is that this place is a bit more expensive than others in the area, however, it's not enough to knock a star off the rating.
I had an absolutely delicious slice of truffle mushroom pizza at this place. Aside from the more "gourmet" slices and pizzas, they also have the straight up classics that make NYC Pizzarias the best in the world! (I said what I said. 😅) Crispy, delicious dough, just great.
Great pie at this place. My go to here are the squares; crispy in all the right places and filled with flavor. The pepperonis curl up just right and just a hit of that delicious oil puddle that we shouldn't eat but is so dang good. Not sure what cheese mix they use but it's flavors are perfect for their sauce. Sauce is that perfect blend where it's not too sweet or too sour, it just compliments the pie as a whole.
I got the New York pizza with pepperoni and added the hot honey and mushrooms. It was very tasty. A little on the oiler side but that’s normal with the pepperoni. I would say for the price I wouldn’t get again. Definitely have tried better pizza for cheaper but if you haven’t tried this place I would recommend.
My friend and I happened to be walking by and we ended up picking up a custom large pizza to-go. The staff were overly kind and even remembered our name when we came back 20mins later to pickup our ready pizza (small details count). The flavours blended so nice and the pizza was cooked to perfection. One of the best in Queens!
The pizza here is DELICIOUS. The ingredients are fresh. The crust is crunchy. And they have a good variety of toppings. My favorite is the margarita, which comes with a drizzle of pesto, and the pepperoni 🔥👌🏼 I've also had the upside down pizza square which is also very tasty. Expect to pay about $10 for 2 squares - yes they are on the expensive side BUT keep in mind you are paying for quality ingredients and a gourmet pizza experience! They also have the regular NY style triangle pizzas, never had them but they look good. I do have 1 suggestion: would be awesome if they could add some side salad options to have with your pizza - would be nice to accompany the pizza with a little something extra 🙂 Other than that, I'm happy to have an awesome pizzeria in the neighborhood! 🙌🏼
I love Pizza and I eat it multiple times a week. Austin Street Pizza in Forest Hills is worth travelling to. You can get Pizza anywhere in NYC but this is great stuff. I recommend the Margherita Pesto-Vodka. This is a rare find. If driving, parking is tough in this neighborhood but with a little luck you too can get your fill. È così delizioso!
Amazing fresh pizza in the forest hill area, they have pies and slices available as well online ordering. I ordered a small pie (slightly larger than expected) which could be shared among two adults or kids. Pricing and portions are great as well as the indoor and outdoor seating vibe. Staff is also respectful. W
Always a good time here. Came here when it opened as now my go to place for pizza. The charred pepperoni cups are absolutely delicious and their plan Sicilian is also a go to. Soda selection is great, just be mindful of the price (noticed a weird review complaining about it for some reason...). We just moved back to forest Hills and having a new and actual good pizza place near by has definitely made this a good move. Will attach photos upon our next visit 😋
We got two different types of pizza pies and both were very good. The garlic knots were also very good, the bread was nice and soft. This will be our new go-to neighborhood pizza place as long as they keep making good pizza!
Austin Street Pizza is that spot. This slice was absolutely unreal... perfectly crispy crust, rich sauce, melty cheese, and the pesto drizzle took it to another level. Every bite was packed with flavor and didn’t disappoint for a second. Fresh, bold, and straight-up delicious. If you’re on Austin Street and craving pizza, don’t even think twice. I’ll definitely be back.
Phenomenal! I tried the classic NY slice and the truffle mushroom sicilian, both were wonderful. Crispy bottoms, no flop at all, the truffle mushroom savoryness was very deep, loved it! Only feedback is they could’ve heated the slices up a bit more, but you could just ask for that if that’s what you like. The inside of the restaurant is very casual, I went on Sunday at early lunchtime and it wasn’t too busy, but i expect at peak times you won’t be able to find somewhere to sit. They have vegan and vegetarian options, I paid $11 for two slices.
Amazing pizza! Never a bad slice! Whenever I go the the movies over there I stop by for pizza! I wish they were on doordash or Uber eats because I live far from the location!
This is hands down the best pizza in Queens, maybe even all of NYC! They have such a wide variety of selections and everything is always cooked to perfect. The perfect crunchy yet soft crust, the perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio, and I’m not sure what they’re secret recipe is to their sauce but I’m willing to give up my savings for it. Also you MUST try their homemade sangria, it’s out of this world. Aside from having the best pizza ever, the staff is always so nice and welcoming and the place is always clean! My favorite pizzeria EVER!
Love the pizza here!! Delicious and always fresh!! I can eat 4 or 5 slices and feel like I just ate one slice🤗
LIKED: The service, the pizza options, the ambience, and the prices. We appreciated that when a mistake was made with our pizza we were given both the "mistake" and a pie as we ordered it both for the price of one. We would definitely bring our friends to this place. WOULD HAVE LIKED: Nothing stood out as unpleasant.
Rock-solid for a quick slice or takeout/delivery order. The basics are great, with some more creative options if you wanna switch it up. Ask about the off-menu “Hot Pepperoni”
This pizza spot is absolute fire. The New York–style slices are amazing, and the 2.0 somehow tops them. I tried the truffle pizza not knowing what to expect, and it delivered the perfect balance of flavors. Highly, highly recommended.
If you have a gluten and dairy allergy and you really want a pizza that tastes like the real deal, Austin Street Pizza is the place to go. They have by far the absoultr best gluten free, vegan pizzas. They do not have one of those really thin gluten free crust, you actually get a real crust. A call in is required if you are ordering to go, the online menu does not give you the option to customize the pizza.
My aunt was served spoiled food at the 5 burros cafe up the block from Austin Street Pizza. We were really upset because they simply gave us a refund and my aunt was left so hungry. I remembered Austin Street Pizza was down the block. We went there and even though they were shutting down for the night the gentleman behind the counter let me get a pizza for her. I am so grateful I was able to get her something to eat. Thank you for your kindness and graciousness. She said her pizza was delicious.
Austrian Street Pizza is absolutely amazing! We love this place — the pizza is always fresh, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor. You can taste the quality in every bite. Our daughter couldn’t get enough of it — she kept saying how yummy it was! The sangria is also so refreshing and delicious. The staff is friendly, the place has such a warm vibe, and everything feels freshly made with care. We’ve been here multiple times and it’s always consistent — hot, cheesy, and full of that real pizza love ❤️ Highly recommend Austrian Street Pizza for families, friends, or anyone who appreciates good food and good vibes. Definitely one of our favorites!
I've had this a few times over the years. Quintessential, excellent NYC slice joint, with a little pizzaz to boot. The plain slice is top notch, the Margherita is sweet and salty, the square vodka, bacon, caramelized onion slice was amazing. The woman at the register was super nice as well to us and our kids, and other customers as well.
Admittedly, I’ve never eaten at their place since it’s so small. There is outside seating but I’m not a fan sitting next to a heavy traffic road to eat. I’ve only had take out from them. Their pizza is still pretty good 30 min out of the oven. Probably not as good as 10 min out. The crust is thin and has a good chew. The cheese is basic but the ones with sausage is great. I also prefer the square over the round pizza.
The best pizza spot in Forest Hills! While the menu offers a limited variety, every item is made with care and fresh, high-quality ingredients. The service is friendly and attentive, making the overall experience very pleasant. Looking forward to seeing the outdoor seating area open soon—it would be a great addition!
Had a great experience at this pizza spot! The lady at the register was extremely kind and thoughtful—her warm attitude really stood out and made the visit even better. The service was quick and friendly, and the food didn’t disappoint either. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Definitely coming back next time im in the city!
no frills really tasty pizza. highly recommend the square pesto slice and the vodka slice -edit- i had to come back to update this, i’m gna say that over the last three or four months my partner and i have returned here almost religiously every week to pick up a square pesto margherita pie. almost every friday.
Had the chance to stop by for an impromptu dinner during the week after running errands. Well the staff was very pleasant and gave their recommendations when I was unable to make a choice. I chose the hot pepperoni and split a regular slice. I paired it with a watermelon rose. Well everything was delicious! The cheese, the sauce and the delicious crust. I am disappointed I took so long to try this location. I will be returning to try their other options. There are some seating locations but I can imagine if it is busy, seating may be sparse.
Kira was an amazing worker. She was so kind, helpful, made small talk. You can tell she loves what she does. Probably one of the best customer service encounters I’ve had so far. Overall the place is great. Pizza is very filling and feels like what true pizza should be like. The dough is fluffy, the sauce is so yummy as well. You should definitely come for lunch when you are nearby.
I brought my son here for a quick bite and from the moment we entered the place I was wowed. Whenever you enter a pizza place or any place and within 5 minutes you are listening to both AC/DC and Aerosmith, you know this place has good values and good vibes!! The server even offered to cut up the slice for my little one which was super helpful! The decor was above and beyond Halloween fun and the pizza was quite good! I would definitely come again!
Best pizza spot in queens! I always crave a good slice of cheesy regular pizza and when the city’s too far of a travel. This is my go to spot. It’s in a beautiful neighborhood. This pizza spot offers classics and many options. The slice of regular is crunchy, cheesy and savory! The staff is always kind and welcoming.
Such a great local pizza spot! So much variety and a really fun, instagrammable vibe. Only flaw is that they don't deliver, but I'm still going to annoy the owner until he hopefully changes that. I've tried almost all of their slices and all of them are so good! Their dough is what makes it. It's so light and crispy. They also have outdoor seating and the setup is really nice. Definitely a spot worth checking it out! Follow me @ms_new_foodie on Instagram and @msnewfoodie on TikTok for more restaurant recs!
My husband ordered on the phone for pick up and we got the Truffle Pizza with sausage as toppings. The lady who was on the phone asked ‘Sausage on the whole thing?’. My husband said yes. When we opened it at home, my mom and I already ate a few slices without the sausage when my husband noticed that they only put it on half the pie. Although it was REALLY GOOD and it would be fine if they did it wrong, the issue here is making us pay full price for the price of half.
I was pleasantly surprised by the pizza here. At first glaze it seems like a over priced trendy place but I love trying different pizza places so I bought an upside down pie to compare to my favorite place (spumonis) and the truffle personal pie. Now the crust is really good here, I thought it was better with the traditional slice vs the square though. My biggest complaint is the lack of flavor in the red sauce and just not enough of it on the upside down one. The truffle pie was delicious and reminded me of the one they sale at Trader Joe’s. Love that the ingredients are all organic and clean here too. Will be back to try the pesto slice as when I was walking in some lady was literally in pure bliss, eyes closed and everything while eating this. The owner should advertise that! Pesto so good brings you to heaven and back. (Disclaimer: can’t confirm until I have the time to try it myself)
I have ordered pizza twice. Whole pies two separate times. Sausage and onions and cupped pepperoni. The sauce is decent but the crust is not very good. This place has a crust that tastes too sweet.
Very cozy place to come get a slice with friends or on a casual date! Forgot how much the slice was but it was a pretty penny for a plain slice. The pizzas were really good, although the dough was a bit thin, if it were just a tad thicker this old be 5 star pizza and worth the $. Also if the crust wasn't as burnt. But good for a casual slice. Service was great and really friendly.
Located in the heart of Forest Hills, Austin Street Pizza boasts a prime location surrounded by shops and outlet brand stores, making it a convenient spot to grab a bite. The interior is inviting, with great ambiance and decor that adds to the experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, enhancing the overall atmosphere. However, my pizza experience fell short of expectations. I tried the Margherita slice, and while the presentation was appealing, the flavor was underwhelming. The taste was bland, and the charred bottom from the oven overpowered the slice, leaving me hoping for more depth and balance in the flavor. While it’s nice to have a pizzeria within walking distance, I would recommend Austin Street Pizza for its location and vibe rather than for the pizza itself. Hopefully, with some improvements to the recipe, it can become a go-to spot for pizza lovers in the area.
I haven't been here in a while and something has definitely changed. I used to love treating myself to this place once in a while, but today was so disappointing. Their regular slice was sweet and tasted artificial. Margarita was passable, but still nothing I'd go back for. Also too salty. Pesto on the Sicilian tasted grassy, like it was cut with parsley, instead of being bright and light like it would be if it was all basil. If they are using cheaper ingredients, it is definitely hurting their product. If they changed the recipe on the sauce and crust, they need to go back to whatever they were doing when they first opened. The crust was gummy once you got into it and tried to chew through it. It's one thing to want your crust to have texture, and another to feel like it's artificially conditioned, instead of the crustiness and chew that comes from the natural process of proofing basic ingredients. I'm gonna stay away for a while and see what happens. Maybe I'll give it another try in six months and only get a regular slice to see what's up before I spend $20.
Update: Had a cheese slice when I was in the area. I ate there after the slice was heated up. It was bad. Like really really bad. Like I couldn't believe this is a slice served in NYC! I couldn't believe the slices I usually get in Texas were better than this place. Same night we had pizza from Dante's Pizza. Now that was good pizza. Pricey and disappointing. Wouldn't be back. Original: Ordered a regular pie. Pizza was a little different than what I was expecting. It was good though. The crust was large and airy, however parts of it were burnt. Not sure if that's by design or they overdid it. Besides that the pizza was pretty tasty, the cheese and oil all worked well for me.. In any case, reading some of the reviews it's not true NY style and their specialty lies in other types like truffle or margarita so will try those next time and update.
While waiting for my turn to order, I noticed one of the workers behind the counter sneeze on top of a lone slice of pizza. The worker, a young thin female with a nose ring, wiped her nose with her hand and moved the “sneezed on” slice off to the side. When it was my turn, I ordered a slice and the same nose-ringed worker attempted to give me the germ-filled slice she sneezed on. I told her “I didn’t want that one” and would wait for a fresh pie to come out of the oven. She got angry and tried to argue with me. The manager overheard her commotion, threw her germ slice away, and served me another when it became ready. In the meantime, the nasty, nose-ringed worker was picking her nose and “fixing” her hair right above the rest of the pizza on display. I will never go back.
The pizza is average, nothing out of the ordinary, but what I find extremely annoying is some of the people behind the counter, they act like they are doing you a favorite.I guess you don't need my money, an average pizza is not worth that headache..
I’ve had pizza several times and didn’t have an issue until our last visit. If anything, I was happy to see a new place open up! It was after a movie a week or so ago that my family and I decided to grab a few slices at about 8:30pm. I ordered 2 plain and an artichoke spinach square. It’s less than a 7 min walk home. The pizza was disgusting. Hard, tasteless and impossible to eat. I went in there today to share the terrible experience I had with my pizza to go. The person I was directed to speak to was condescending and rude, and has zero customer service skills in mitigating the situation. Their pizza is not cheap and I wasn’t looking for a handout. He couldn’t even eek out an apology for the inedible pizza I bought! For the record- I don’t know if he’s management or not but he appeared to be Asian American. He should be terminated for his lackluster customer service skills. I told him calmly that I would NEVER go back again. The product I purchased that night could’ve been used as sheetrock. I will be taking my business elsewhere and sharing my disappointing experience… just incorrigible.
Awful pizza place. I ate there and had a pesto pizza and got an allergic reaction. (I assumed they put walnuts in the pesto because I am not allergic to it normally.) I had to run out of the pizza place and run home where my face got swollen, my heart beat so fast, vomiting, shortness of breath, and was too weak to stand up and had to lay on the floor. I luckly got to the ER and survived but if you have tree nut allegries, do not go there. Their sign is as small as a barcode and you cannot see it from the entrance and barely see it when ordering.
This is some average pizza. I can’t believe people think this pizza is the best thing they ever had. Actually taste no different than frozen pizza. Moreover, the guy at the front was very rude and disrespectful. Never again.✌️
