Preguntas frecuentes sobre Sansan Ramen
Opiniones de Sansan Ramen Albans
Sansan Ramen in Long Island City is a fantastic find! The ramen here is spot-on—rich, flavorful broth, tender noodles, and all the right toppings. Their Tonkotsu ramen is pure comfort in a bowl, with a creamy broth that hits all the right notes. The place has a cozy vibe, perfect for a chill meal, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you're a ramen lover or just looking for a good meal, Sansan Ramen is definitely worth a visit.
I have to say, if only rating food, it’s only 4⭐️, the extra one goes to staff, super friendly, providing good services. I still would recommend to try out this place if you are around the area. They did great in ramen, my 🖤🍜black mountain ramen was delicious. (black garlic oil flavored.) Noodles were doughy not soggy, soup was thick with flavors, pork chashu was melting and smoky, and they put a lot of veg. Regarding fried items, ❤️🔥karaage (fried chicken) was the best, pretty much the first option if you can only order one appetizer. Crispy and juicy. It went well with the sauce. ❣️Takoyaki was good too. Nothing impressive but outstanding. Ankimo was in the middle. Nothing special, slightly smaller portion. Fried squid was soggy for some reasons. I wonder why fried chicken was so great while squid was not. (Maybe they used different frying batter?) Also it was not that fresh in my opinion, tasted a little bit smelly. Last, chicken skin was soft as well. Not crispy and slightly on the oily side.
Great Ramen Place in LIC. To be fair, the price is not cheap but the portion is very decent. I came several times and so far I think the foods are decent(considering it’s tip free). The black ramen and the signature one is bite heavy but today I tired the Yuzu one which is actually very good.
Really love this place! Tried it out for the first time and enjoyed it. They deep fry their takoyaki which is pretty unique and gives a nice crunch while the inside is still warm and soft. The ramen was very nice. Different than the prevalent tonkotsu style thats in NYC but very wholesome. I also got the shrimp curry which was delicious. You don't see a lot of the baked rice curries in NY (as you do in the quick eats diners in Tokyo) so this was a nice surprise. It could use a little more curry sauce but Iw as able to ask for some more on the side. Thank you, San San!
Ramen lovers, rejoice! sansan ramen is the latest hotspot in LIC, and it’s a flavor -packed haven! The interior is all modern and spacious, setting the stage for a cozy meal. What’s super cool? You get to pick your own meat and add on. And the broth is a perfect mix of flavors. The noodles? Spot on! Plus sushi enthusiasts, they got you covered! If you are in the neighborhood, swing by and check it out. Featuring : * chicken gyoza * Takoyaki balls * Ebi mayo * Black mountain belly chasu * Red mountain mushroom * Yaki curry with karage and shrimp * Ice Thai tea & green tea
Best new ramen in LIC! When I saw the first sign outside of the restaurant I was counting the days until it was open. The neighborhood was missing a good ramen place by Queensboro Plaza North. We tried two different ramens (the original and black mountain) and they were so delicious! The broth was on spot and I love that they give you the option to choose between proteins. If you are really hungry, we recommend adding the rice bowl or one of the sides to your order. But if you don't eat thaaat much, the ramen is the perfect amount! We can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!
I'm from LIC and have been waiting to try SanSan and compare it with Kyuramen Ramen, which is also nearby. It's still soft opening so the menu was on the smaller side and didn't have any beer/alcoholic drinks BUT.... oh man the curry mountain ramen was so good. Such a unique combo of japanese curry flavor with the noodles, not something you find anywhere else. Most ramen shops just do miso or tonkotsu flavor, but this curry flavor was unique. Loved it Didn't try any sides so I'll have to rate that next time. Indoor ambiance is nice, massive space with different types of seating, including bar style if you want to eat solo. Staff was friendly and spot on with everything too. Overall, great first impression and will definitely be coming back
This is definitely an out of the ordinary ramen restaurant. To start with, you have a remote hostess 🤯 then you are encouraged to order and pre-pay your food from your table. Fortunately, the restaurant was not full and the waiter had the consideration to take our order 👍 The food was good 👍 I ordered a black mountain ramen, which had an earthy pleasant taste. We also ordered edamame, and gyozas 🥟 everything was good The ambience was spacious and nice and the service was also good 👍
So while in the city found this place to eat near the hotel I was booked into.. let's start with coming in.. there is a picture on the wall... Oh nope that's your greeter!!! I actually found it kinda cool.. but remember I wear hearing aids and couldn't barely hear the person speaking... But moving past that was a clean authentic looking restaurant.. we sat at the table and you scan a QR code .. everyone on the table does and it adds to the order digitally...you pay before your food comes which is a bit different.. also careful while your scrolling you may add things accordingly... Yes I did and was told it's yours you already paid for it...... Now the food... Taste was fantastic no complaints...
Ordered Red Mountain ramen, Black Mountain ramen, and Karaage. Overall solid. Both ramen were flavorful and the noodle was perfectly al dente. The broth is a bit thick and starchy, which I didn’t mind. Karaage was nice and chewy as well, served on a bed of greens and spicy mayo on the side. My only dissatisfaction was that everything was on the saltier side for my taste so I chugged three glasses of water during the meal. I’ll try to ask if I can ask for less salty when ordering.
The place had a great atmosphere and attentive service (went on Friday at 6pm which was fairly empty). The Karaage we ordered had more breading than chicken. The Sansan Original flavors were a bit underwhelming and lacking the rich broth you normally get at a good ramen place. The black mountain we ordered was decent. When receiving our order the protein was switched for both orders (was not a big deal as I went with my significant other). The portion was a bit on the smaller side as there could have been more broth. Overall, would be willing to try again after the soft opening, but I have had a better experience at the surrounding ramen spots.
I had this place on my "Ramen Escapade" list for quite some time, so yesterday afternoon I finally decided to go since I was in the area. I was very surprised by the emptiness as soon as I walked in; there was only one person eating when I arrived. I could hear voices in the back so I figured the staff were back there. The space itself is quant and clean; I saw the self ordering kiosks and was flabbergasted. It was certainly different. Despite this, I likey the function that allowed me to add or remove items in my order. I sat myself down at the bar. A waitress did approach me to let me know they were out of sparkling water, so I substituted for a ginger ale. That's really the only time someone came out to speak to me aside from when the food arrived. It took all but 5 minutes for both my karaage and my ramen to arrive. I thought taste-wise that the chicken was good, especially with the sauce and lemon. The tori-san ramen was okay; the broth flavor was like your average pork broth, noodles were wavy and chewy and the chashu pork was tender, but okay. If I was to visit again, I would have to adjust to the norm of self service and only seeing a waiter if necessary. Overall, the experience was different and it was okay at best. Nothing outstanding but nothing horrible either. Just average, nothing wrong with that.
My friend and I came in for lunch recently. A cozy and inviting joint and I love their decor! We order the Ankimo (monkfish liver) which I LOVE, and Tori Kawa (fried chicken skin) that we hardly touch, it was way too oily! On the ramen we opt for White Mountain ‘Haku San’ Ramen and the Original ‘Tori San’ Ramen, both were good and tasty. Overall not bad and I will come back to try other dishes but just not the Tori Kawa again! :D
Randomly visited this restaurant after work with a co-worker. Despite the mediocre reviews we decided to give this place a try. Needless to say, those reviews are warranted. At no point was there more than 1 additional person dinning, waited 40 minutes to be told that they completely forgot about our order at the kiosk. The happy hr was non existent but the prices aren’t bad. The spicy mango wings had not the least amount of spice, the sauce tasted very premade. We also ordered the karrage (Japanese fried chicken) was okay. The presentation was nice and for 9 dollars each plate, the portion size is nice. The inside decor is nice, the bathroom was clean. We also ordered wine and a beer- the draft beer was very nice but the wine wasn’t the best. My friend asked for them to comp us an extra glass of wine due to the wait and they agreed, which was nice. Overall, not bad but very mediocre.
Loved the ramen when I went in person! I came back to order the yellowtail scallion roll for takeout and it looked nothing like the picture on the menu or tbh anything I’ve ever seen - instead of 6 regular rolls, there was only five (4 in the picture because I ate one) and it was just fish on weird cubes of rice, no scallion at all but just furikake seasoning instead of seaweed wrapping. It tasted fine but I am just a little confused! UPDATE: I got food poisoning from that ramen :/ currently dying
Food is okay. The egg is not marinated; it's simply a soft-boiled egg. However, service is super slow, even when they don't have too many customers. Spacious restaurant. ______ Updated: I came back and this time the service has definitely improved! The shrimp tempura was not too crispy and the shrimp doesn't feel fresh, but the veggies one is pretty good. The curry rice is quite heavy.
