Amazing pancakes spot!! Texture incredibly fluffy and the pancakes were flavorful. Had the Very Matcha and it comes with ice cream on the side! The service was great, provided us an excellent service even tho we came in 30 minutes before closing. Highly recommend for night cravings 9/10

Had an amazing brunch at SoftBites today and everything hit the spot! The pancakes were incredibly delicious—soft, moist, and full of flavor. I also ordered the big breakfast platter, and it did not disappoint. The eggs were so fluffy and cooked just right. But the real star for me? That strawberry mocktail. It was fresh, perfectly balanced, and absolutely on point! Great food, cozy vibes, and attentive service. Definitely coming back soon!

I went here on a Sunday to catch up with a friend without any reservation. The place was fairly busy but I’d recommend getting one if you’re in a big group. The brunch is not only aesthetically pleasing but also quite tasty. Compared to most brunches which the menu tends to look/taste the same this one has unique flavors for switching it up

Cute little corner restaurant right off the subway in Queens. The staff was nice and super helpful with any questions that we had. Staff member was prompt with food orders and our food came out in a good timely manner. The food was great!

This place has the best soufflé pancakes we’ve ever had!! Excellent service, beautiful decor, nice atmosphere & really good brunch!! There was no waiting line for this place, comparing to the one across the street! I am so glad we tried it! Loved it! Don’t miss it! 💯 recommended!

My coworker and I stumbled upon Softbite's booth at JapanFes. We ordered their Very Matcha Soufflé Pancake and Ube Sparkles Soufflé Pancake. Not only were they light, fluffy, and jiggly, but the flavor was exquisite. Despite looking very sweet, my coworker and I were pleased to know that it was just sweet enough without overloading our taste buds. After trying their booth in JapanFes, we both had to try their café in Long Island City. Upon entering, you are warmly greeted by the staff and seated amongst the open and organized seats. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow a great view of the streets and let in the natural lights. Other than their iconic soufflé pancakes, I recommend their Chicken Karaage. It is crispy but not overly fried. The chicken is hot, plump, and juicy! I tried their wasabi mayo and it packed quite the punch! My advice is to come on the weekdays. Weekends will have people swarming in, making it difficult for you (and your group) to get a seat/table. Not only that, but be sure to check out their website! They offer monthly specials. I tried their Pink Cloud Soufflé Pancake before it ended and it was worth taking an extra hour for lunch. Please note that you do have to wait when ordering their soufflé pancakes as these are made fresh!

This spot definitely leans into quality over quantity — the portions aren’t huge, but every bite is seriously worth it. You can taste the attention to detail and freshness in everything they serve. The name “Soft Bite” totally fits — the pancakes are unbelievably fluffy and light, almost melt-in-your-mouth soft. Highly recommend the crème brûlée pancakes — they’re rich, slightly crisp on top, and just the right level of indulgent. The Tornado eggs and the breakfast platter are also solid picks — everything feels like a thoughtful, upscale take on a classic European-style breakfast. It’s not the cheapest place around, but for the quality you’re getting, it’s totally fair. Great for a slow, cozy brunch where you want something a little more special.

I really wanted to try fluffy Japanese style pancakes. I originally was supposed to have brunch across the street from this spot but there was a line and I did not want to wait. I walked across the street and I’m happy I did. This is a very cute cafe style spot. The decor is minimalist with a clean aesthetic. Ray was a very nice and informative server. I’m not really a fan of the fluffy pancakes but I’m happy I was able to try them. The salmon with rice was very good. The matcha lattes were good too. Wait time was not long at all. They have outdoor seating if you like that.

this cafe is so cute! the service is great and i like the calm, quiet vibe. i ordered the iced strawberry matcha with almond milk and the nori fries with truffle parmesan. the matcha was okay in my opinion. the truffle parmesan fries were INSANE. genuinely the best fries i’ve ever had!!!! i definitely want to come back and try the coffee and a soufflé pancake. the menu is pretty big and there’s a lot to choose from!

The soufflé pancakes were deliciously good to what I expected. The omurice exceeded my expectations (both the tornado egg and the katsu). The tornado egg was delicately cooked to the right texture (smooth and creamy) and the katsu was seasoned well, tender on the inside, freshly crispy to the outside. Only critique was that the restaurant looks aged, and the interior and seating are not to the cleanest due to repeated uses.

I came here for lunch and thought that it was a really cute spot! Located in LIC, this cafe is a cute brunch spot offering a variety of aesthetic Japanese fusion dishes and fun drinks. Service here is relatively quick and kind. I got the corn latte, tempura udon, and souffle pancakes here. The corn latte was a seasonal item and so good— I loved the cream on it. The udon was light and a good portion. The tempura was so good. And, the souffle pancake was delicious, but I just wish it were a bit fluffier. Overall, not a bad spot and I liked it!

They were one of the vendors at Japan fest. I ordered the Matcha Soufflé pancake. The pancake was very fluffy but I am not a super big matcha person. Staff were very friendly. However, the pancake were really small and were being charged for $12. I viewed them more of a snack or dessert but may not be worth the price.

Updated review: Since opening, the menu has expanded, the wait times have halved, and the souffle pancakes and coffee drinks are just as fantastic. Skip the wait times across the street and get breakfast, brunch, lunch, or even an early dinner at this casual spot. A few tables and seats outside if the weather is nice (gone are the sling back loungers), and inside a large table for groups, and a good amount of tables for two.

The creme brulee souffle pancakes were underwhelming. The egg flavor was dominant and there really wasn't much of a creme brulee flavor at all. The soft serve on the side was the highlight. Service seemed unengaged.

It's a really cute cafe and the food is really good. Unfortunately the service isn't good. I ordered the pancake and it took a really long time to get here. There weren't that many people in the cafe either. On top of that, it was the wrong pancake. I had to leave soon so I just didn't bother trying to get them to change it and just ate it, considering how long it took them to make the pancake in the first place. It was still good and beautiful, but this is not good service.

Very slow and no warning given by the waiter that it will take 20 minutes. No warning written on the menu. Only on the website and online, no I do not waste my time with these things. Table was dirty and stained Waiter incapable of recommending anything. And astonishingly, for the first time in my life, refused to take a picture for me. Incredible. How can you stoop so low? Food is pretty though, although definitely overpriced and not worth it.

I feel like I completely wasted my time coming to this restaurant. The overall atmosphere was okay, but the place looked dirty. The furniture was dusty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. The staff didn’t seem to care much about service. I ordered two items, but they forgot one. I had to go up and remind them myself, only to be told it hadn’t been made yet, so I had to ask for a refund. Meanwhile, the staff were sitting around eating and playing on their phones as if they had nothing to do—even though we were still waiting for our food. As for the food, their signature pancake was undercooked, with a strong raw egg smell. The drink was overly sweet and lacked any hint of matcha flavor. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Nothing about the experience was impressive. Very disappointing.
