Rooh provided the most memorable food I've had in a long time. The drinks were delicious and unique. The food looks amazing and tastes even better, phenomenal flavors. The mousse was my favorite thing there, probably also the best dessert I've ever had in my life. If I had to recommend any restaurant in Columbus at this price point it would be this one.

Just returned to Rooh for Valentine’s Day and had such a wonderful experience. Every course from drinks to mains was unique, filling, and delicious! Super friendly and attentive service, would definitely recommend!

Rooh is delicious, a nice modern take on Indian. Must haves: Small plates: wild mushroom kulcha os amazing, probably my favorite dish. The LAMB KEEMA HYDERABADI was very flavorful sort of like a baked pasta without the pasta but billowy potato and flavorful stew with a delicious brioche. For mains I would hands down get the butter chicken- so flavorful and generous portion size. The eggplant curry is an excellent vegetarian dish. Has a crispy texture as well which is a bit different. The saffron rices and the naans are incredible. We got garlic naan and also a chili cheese naan which was very flavorful!

Rooh could be the best restaurant in Columbus. It breaks my stereotypes of Indian restaurants in the United States. The dining room is decent with beautiful decorations and a pleasant smell. Service is excellent and WiFi is fast. Everything tastes outstanding with chefs’ innovations. I love its juicy shrimp and cauliflower and the best butter chicken. Highly recommend the butter chicken entree which could be the best dish that I have ever had.

Finally… finally an Indian restaurant that plays modern Indian songs. I wanted to write a review just for that. Everywhere else we seem to be stuck in the 70s or in the American stereotype of what Indian music should be. We have been wanting to try Rooh for sometime. But since it is fine dining we had rightfully expected high prices and low quantities… and most of the time me or the average Indian who are brought up on lavish buffets are not the intended audience for it. So quantity and price is not weighed in this review. The experimentation and fusion of some of the popular Indian delicacies on the other hand is what drives this review and it is mostly a hit. While the sweet potato chat is amazing with those crispy kale, cauliflower koliwada could have had a little bit more chutney on the side. The mango mule tasted like an Ayurveda drink and we didn’t really get a hint of mango. The paneer pinwheel with three different combos of flavor and spices was a treat. And the naan… oh the naan.. was the fluffiest I have had in a long time. Just melts in your mouth. So did the jaggery ice cream which did not disappoint. Saffron rice had that saffron flavor unlike in some places. Great ambience and yes the songs that one would want to hear. The hosts were so gracious. Vegetarian friendly.. so thank you for that.

Amazing food. Indian food cooked and served in a very innovative manner. The food tastes great, is not very spicy, and can be enjoyed by anyone. The chicken in butter chicken is cooked to perfection with chicken so soft that it melts in your mouth. The cocktail selection is also very innovative and have indian tadka. I recommend mango mule to anyone although be aware that this cocktail is spicy. The prices are but high but that is expected of any fine dine restaurant. So not really surprising. But its worth the money to try this food atleast once.

4.5 Stars rounded up. Half stars and 0 really need to be an option google Flavor - Great and plenty of variety of dishes on menu Price - Needs to be $5 cheaper on entrees. Food was great but lacked what was necessary for the price...maybe inflation. Rice should not be additional imo with those costs. Service - Great, staff friendly, no issues made reservation at 730 and kitchen closes at 830, had no issues. Place is clean. I would probably not go back because I'm cheap lol but the flavor was there just not the price for the flavor... unless is was a gift. The price and flavor didnt match. I've paid for stuff that was more expensive and the flavor matched. Its all subjective anyways. I would gladly reccomend you check it out. Meal was delicious to me.

Came in on a game day, the restaurant was quiet. The decor is simple but tasteful. The service was very friendly. Very intensive but not hovering. We ordered the short ribs, butter chicken and garlic naan. The naan and short ribs are amazing. The butter chicken was lacking, just a different flavor palette then what I was expecting. A little sweet and missing typical spices. The heat level on both dishes were perfect. Although you don't get a option. The short ribs are portion small but filling with the sauce and rice. A slight coconut flavor made these outstanding. Over all a welcome experience and would come back .

Five of us went to celebrate a birthday We ordered five or six small plates and four large plates. Each one was better than the previous one. This restaurant must be one of the best we have been to over the last few years and all of are foodies and picky eaters. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The owner or the general manager was very helpful

Our party of four enjoyed our time and food at Rooh. Each of us enjoyed the classic and modern interpretation of food choices. Service was very good, ambiance very pleasant, easy for conversation, food excellent. First time to eat here for 3/4 of us - the 4th eats here often and I would to if I lived in Columbus.

Excellent experience and pretty good food. Beautifully decorated interior and very modern fixtures and such. Definitely warmly welcome in Columbus and a source of pride! We are lovers of Indian food and have found ourselves around the world in search of more, more of all cuisine even. And we were of course very happy to find a finer establishment like this that was offering a fusion or sorts, a contemporary spin on Indian cuisine and beautiful cocktails! Amazing presentation and flavours and service! Excited to visit again soon.

First time trying Indian food! I got Sweet Potato, Butter Chicken and Mango Ice cream. Everything was sooooo goooooood, so perfect to me! Before I went there I had no idea what I was going to get and I have to say from my picky personal opinion, this place is very very nice, the food was so delicious, the presentation was the best! If I didn't listen to my husband this time and went somewhere else, I would be really regret it! I love the Sweet potato the most, with everything that came: crispy kale, yogurt mouse, really everything! I will go back to Rooh and get this again and again. My butter chicken was very nice too, the curry not spicy, the chicken was cooked perfectly soft! Donna our server was super sweet and very smart, she can answer and explain every questions we had. Thank you! I will see you again, soon!

First class dining experience from start to finish. Precise, friendly service and excellent cocktails as well. The managing partner checked on our table several times. The Tiger Prawn dish was exceptional and the entire menu innovative. Will be back soon!!

Excellent experience at Rooh for delicious Indian food! Tried some staples (butter chicken, garlic naan) and their versions did not disappoint - the level of spice in the butter chicken was perfect to sense the heat but not make your nose run. Scallop appetizer was tasty, if small. The eggplant entree had an incredible coconutty sauce - we were basically fighting for the last bit! Dessert pink peppercorn cheesecake was creative and satisfying without being overly sweet. Recommend for a special occasion spot! Service and ambiance were fab as well.

Everything was a 10/10. Service, atmosphere & food! Wait, I think my husband said the lamb was a bit salty but it was still good. Lol We will be back! This place was actually recommended by a friend. She gave us a gift card as a wedding gift so we had to try it!

I’d been wanting to try ROOH since they opened and finally got to take advantage of 614 Restaurant Week and it was wonderful! Service was attentive and friendly! The atmosphere is perfect with no blaring music and nice decor. The bathrooms are clean too. They have great cocktails, some originals and some twists on the classics. Try the Once More. 🥃 The short rib *chef kiss*. There are also good vegetarian and gluten free options and every dish we tried had depth and great flavor. Also make sure you stay for dessert!

HOW IS IT SO GOOD!? My wife and I came here for dinner and had a phenomenal experience. I ordered the short rib kofta and that wrinkled my brain; my wife got the cauliflower koliwada, equally brain wrinkling. Think bbq cauliflower wings but a little spicy, sweet, and savory; you know, the way cauliflower wings should be. Then dinner. She got the paneer pinwheels: savory tomatoes and cheese that’s almost a ghost of a flavor until you realize how mellow the tomato is and it’s all because of the paneer. I got the beef short rib dinner. Ugh, savory sauce galore! The gravy was the perfect mix of earthy and spicy and the beef soaked it up leaving it a soft, melty delicacy. I’m just kind of rambling because my brain is swimming in spices, but Rooh was fantastic and I can wait to come back.

Excellent experience all around. We’ve been looking forward to this place opening for months, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Walking in, and immediately the ambiance and decor is striking but welcoming. Some unique art ordains the walls, and the lighting is very warm and comfortable. The layout itself is very cool, with a long one-sided bar separating the bar area (also with tables) from the more traditional dining room. There is a plethora of small plates to choose from. We tried 5 total (including one that we ordered to-go to snack on at home), and each was unique and very flavorful, with interesting combinations. I highly recommend each of them, which include the Gun Powder Scallop, Lamb Keema, Potato Tikki, Tandoor Smoked Pork Belly, and Chicken Malai Tikka. The assorted papadum (not listed on the menu online) was also nice, and came with three different dipping sauces. We opted for the Butter Chicken and Beef Short Rib Curry for entrees, and both were superb. The butter chicken was sweet but complex, and a nice little kick of spice kept it from being too sweet for me. The Short Rib was the most interesting dish we had - the flavor profile was very unique and unlike anything I’ve tried. The meat in both dishes was wonderfully tender - you can’t go wrong with either of these dishes. We ordered some rice and chili-cheese naan to accompany the dishes, as they aren’t included with the entree. Cocktails were all great, but one in particular (the Mango Mule) stood out. It wonderfully blends sweet and spice, and though I don’t normally enjoy spicy drinks, this one was perfect. I will certainly be ordering it again. I also loved the drinkware in which it was served - beautifully decorated and it exuded Indian culture. For dessert, we had the Phirni Mousse, which was a small portion but was excellent. According to the bartender, it blends North and South Indian takes on the dish (as one region uses white rice for the pudding, whereas the other uses black rice) by using white rice pudding topped with a black rice wafer. The cashew cake was delightful, and the black rice wafer was very unique and flavorful. All around a great way to finish the meal. In terms of service, we were pleasantly surprised. This was only the third day of being open, so we excepted hiccups, but encountered none. The bartenders (we like to sit at the bar) were very friendly and informative, and we never felt as if we were bugging them with our friendly conversation and questions. The front-of-house manager was very kind and hand-delivered our boxed and bagged leftovers, and was a pleasure to chat with. The bartenders happily offered to place the leftovers on their side of the bar to free more space for us, which was a nice touch (as the leftovers were plentiful due to us liking to over-order and then snack on the leftovers later that evening or the next day for lunch). You can tell that they place a lot of emphasis on service here - it compares favorably to other high-end places in town. All in all, we had a wonderful experience at Rooh and can’t wait to go back. We’ve always loved Indian food, but had never had the chance to try any non-traditional takes on the cuisine. This place has a very specific vision, and in my opinion, they execute it very well. Most of the decor (including seats, dishware, etc.) is of Indian origin, which I appreciated. The cost can certainly add up, but the food and service are well worth the cost. This place is definitely worth visiting!

Good drinks and good food! The drink menu is really helpful, the wheel diagram shows the difference between drink flavors. So if you prefer sweet, savory, or spicy the drink guide will help you make the best choice! Tried the salmon and garlic naan it was all delicious. Very busy as it was a Friday night, reservations required. Good service!

Where to even begin- as a newbie to the Columbus area, Rooh is absolutely the BEST dinner we’ve had so far! The food is absolutely unbelievable, with showstopping flavors that are super aromatic and a pleasure to share!! The Beef short rib was so fragrant with a delicious curry and paired perfectly with a side of garlic naan- still drooling over it!! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming: our bartender was super knowledgeable about all the cuisine/ the chefs specialities, and he also made us outstanding cocktails! Rooh is the best Indian restaurant we've ever visited in Columbus. There is an elegance to everything ordered, and the flavors are truly impeccable. We ordered butter chicken, palak paneer, nawabi malai kofta, lamb shank nihari with garlic naan, and rice. The butter chicken and palak paneer stood out for their incredible texture and flavor. I particularly loved the lamb shank; the sauce was flavorful, and the lamb was beautifully tender. The butter chicken is also amazing, offering complexity to its flavors. I highly recommend pairing it with the garlic naan. The mango lassi was also fresh and we ordered carrot halwa cake in dessert and it was delicious —all were top-notch dishes. The food presentation reminiscent of high end restaurants that focus on simplicity, texture and flavors. The service was great, and the staff was friendly, even though the place was packed and busy since we went over the weekend. I definitely plan to visit again soon.

FOR VEGANS AND VEGETARIANS: One of the best Indian food restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. From the ambience, to the service and friendliness, to, of course, the food itself, everything was impeccable. The food choices are extremely varied for a vegetarian which was amazing and the staff was able to accommodate additional dietary restrictions/allergies which was a huge plus. I would come back here regularly to eat; the food and experience were equally amazing

I love this evolution of Indian cuisine! Some elevated, creative, and contemporary dishes with a nice range of cocktails/wine in a upscale, yet comfortable setting. I recommend splitting dishes to get a range of the menu. With that said, the short rib is a must. Period. And be sure to get plenty of naan to soak up the sauces!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Rooh. The highlight of our meal was the sweet potato chaat—perfectly balanced flavors and textures made it our favorite dish of the night. The short ribs were incredibly tender with a deep, rich flavor, and the lamb shank was equally well-prepared. Since we visited during happy hour, we had the chance to try several cocktails, and each one was well-crafted and enjoyable. With great food, well-executed cocktails, and a vibrant atmosphere, Rooh is definitely a spot we’d recommend and return to!

We’d heard so many great things about Rooh and finally had the chance to dine in, and it definitely lived up to the hype! For appetizers, we had the Cauliflower Koliwada, which was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. For mains, we tried the Feta Saag: absolutely amazing! We never thought we’d go crazy over spinach, but this dish changed that. We also had the beef short ribs, which were incredibly tasty. If they were braised, they might’ve been even better, but still really solid. As for drinks, the Mango Mule was delicious and super refreshing, and the Golden Ghee (ghee-infused Bulleit Bourbon) surprised us, we were skeptical at first, but it turned out to be really good! Huge shoutout to our server Arianna — she was fantastic — and the gentleman manager who checked in on us was also very kind. We’re already looking forward to going back!

The Sweet Potato Chaat was superb. This blend of crunchy kale, roasted sweet potatoes and fluffy yogurt textures was so flavorful and delicious. I would 100% come back for that dish alone. SO GOOD!! Our waiter had excellent recommendations, and he wasn’t wrong about any of them! The owner was friendly and the food was so flavorful! They have a happy hour menu with $9 appetizers and we’ll definitely be back for that! We got the sweet potato chaat (10/10), the mushroom stuffed naan (10/10) and the butter chicken (6/10). Would get a different entree next time, but the salted maple ice cream (10/10) at the end was the perfect ending to the mouth watering meal.

I hardly ever write reviews for restaurants, but I had to for this place because of how impressed I was with the experience. I took my girl there for the Valentine's Day special night. The ambience was fantastic. The service was spot on. And the food...oh my goodness, the FOOD was exquisite. I am a serious foodie, and I was thoroughly impressed with their attention to detail. The menu was so creative in the combination of ingredients. The spice level was great--noticeable, but not obtrusive. And their sauces--the sauces were almost as big a star in the dish as the main proteins were (I am a meat eater). PLEASE do yourself a favor and check out this place. The price point is on par with the level of quality and it's high-quality food. But the value is definitely worth it!

This place is amazing! I'm in Columbus for a conference right now, and I ate here three nights in a row. The second night I brought a couple of friends, and they were dying to come back with me the third night. I saw other repeat diners from my conference as well. We tried basically everything from the small plates, and I had a couple of the mocktails as well as the butter chicken. Nothing disappointed in the slightest. I would especially recommend the sweet potato dish, which has delightfully crispy kale and a really nice creamy yogurt sauce. Every flavor was spot on, but the food was escalated in a way that I haven't seen before. The price points were pretty unbelievable as well for what we were getting. I can't imagine getting anything close to this good where I live for less than two or three times the price. On top of this, it was clear that every staff member I talked to was really proud to be working there and truly loved the food. It's really heartening to hear the genuine joy in people's voices when they're talking about their work. This really set Rooh apart from other restaurants in a way that I wasn't expecting. I really wanted to love this place, and there are many good things about it. The sauces are both exotic and finger-licking-good. The shared appetizers combine flavors, textures and colors in creative ways. Unfortunately, the main dishes feel short--they are just cooked meat or veggies covered in sauce. Indian foods need time to absorb the spices. Expect some chaos. We had a reservation, but seating was slow. Thankfully, the wait staff was super friendly and attentive. Our server refilled glasses often and provided many helpful suggestions to complement the meal.

Very good food and experience overall. Some dishes like the Cauliflower Koliwada, Feta Salad, Sweet Potato Chaat and creative cocktails, desserts were standout and fun, while a few mains felt average or small for the price. Still a must visit overall for the unique twists and vibe.

The food tasted great. The cocktails were very nice. I would say our dishes were simple and nicely presented moreso than modern. Service was very good. Our constructive feedback would be the menu is small and the price is high for simple dishes. We enjoyed it but would probably spend our money at AAB or Cumin and Curry. Thanks for a very good experience!

I have made a reservation here and went with my friends. We were seated immediately. The decor and ambiance was very cozy and modern. The staff were friendly and polite. Their drink menu is excellent and most of the drinks we tried had a great flavor and a twist as well. I would definitely go for the drinks. We also tried few small plates among them the chicken, cauliflower and kale chat were delicious. The lamb kheema was good, but it had a pungent lamb smell and the pav was amazing. Coming to the main course we got the 1. Panner Pinwheel (4/5), the panner was super soft and the gravy was good. 2. Butter Chicken (4/5). Both of the gravy’s had a similar flavor profile and the chicken was a tad bit chewy. Overall a good twist on Indian food with great drink selection. There is street parking but might be hard to find. There is a parking garage on E Goodale St.

Rooh stands out as one of Columbus, Ohio's great dining destinations, offering an elevated dining experience with a focus on high-quality Indian cuisine. The restaurant's eclectic and stylish layout adds a unique flair to the ambiance, complemented by a genuinely welcoming and attentive staff. Among the standout dishes, the cauliflower and lamb creations truly shined, delivering an enticing extra kick of spiciness that awakened the taste buds. While Rooh's menu leans toward the spicier side (although I’m a bit of whimp when it comes to spicy food), the flavors were enjoyable, proving that even those with a milder palate can savor the experience. While some dishes feature smaller portions, there are also generously sized entrees available, ensuring a diverse range of dining options to cater to various appetites.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Columbus area. The non alcoholic mango drink is overrated. Cauliflower appetizer was pretty good. On the veg main entree I really enjoyed the stuffed eggplant. Not a big fan of the Nawabi Koft felt the kofta was too heavy. Please do not get the Thai cheese naan not good. Tandoori roti was much better. The carrot cake with ice cream was awesome, I recommend it.

This is one of the Indian fine dining restaurants located in downtown Columbus. The ambiance and location are excellent, and there’s also an attached bar. The menu is limited but includes both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. If you’re looking to enjoy authentic Indian flavors in a fine dining setting, this is a great choice. However, if you’re a foodie or prefer generous portions, this place might not be ideal, as the quantities are small and prices are on the higher side.

Rooh is an upscale Indian restaurant that brings a modern twist to traditional flavors, and it’s one of the more unique dining experiences in Columbus. The interior is vibrant and colorful, with design elements that nod to Indian cultural motifs—but fair warning, the dining room has been frigid on more than one of my visits, so you may want to bring a layer. The wait staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable—not just about the menu, but also the intricate flavor profiles of their craft cocktails and dishes. I definitely recommend making a reservation, especially around dinner time, as it tends to fill up quickly. On this visit, I brought my partner, who had never had Indian food before, so we wanted to try a little bit of everything. We started with the wild mushroom kulcha and the samosa chaat. The samosa chaat was the standout—layered, vibrant, and completely unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. The kulcha is a more approachable dish, like a mushroom quesadilla, but still full of flavor. It’s a safe bet for anyone new to Indian cuisine, especially if they enjoy mushrooms. For the main course, we shared the butter chicken with garlic naan—a dish I get every time I visit, and one I’ll likely never stray from. The sauce is rich, comforting, and perfectly spiced. When shared, it doesn’t feel too heavy, just deeply satisfying. To finish, we tried Rooh’s creative take on carrot cake. The foam topping was the highlight for me—light and playful in texture with a subtly sweet flavor. The saffron ice cream was a standout as well: not overly sweet, but a beautiful contrast to the other dessert elements. The cake itself had an unexpected texture, but as a whole, the dish was a delightful and surprising end to the meal. Overall, Rooh offers a fresh, elevated perspective on Indian food that’s both approachable and exciting. If you’re looking to explore bold flavors in a stylish setting, it’s definitely worth a visit.

This is a unique take on Indian food. If you're looking for something traditional you will be disappointed. The food was good. The service was great. The ambiance was very nice and had a high end feel. I definitely recommend the samosa Chaat. I was pleasantly surprised by unique flavors and the crunch. My partner enjoyed their lamb dish. I wasn't crazy about the beef short rib because it was coconut milk based. I prefer a more traditional carrot cake but the overall experience was good if you want something out of the ordinary.

Very good food and experience overall. Some dishes like the Cauliflower Koliwada, Feta Salad, Sweet Potato Chaat and creative cocktails, desserts were standout and fun, while a few mains felt average or small for the price. Still a must visit overall for the unique twists and vibe.

Very nice restaurant; had butter chicken with naan. The sauce tasted alright but the chicken was dry. Tiramisu had an interesting texture, taste was on the lighter side. More on the expensive side given the food and portions.

We decided to try Rooh for our 14 year wedding anniversary. We started with a chai mule which was flavorful. We got two appetizers. The cauliflower was spicy and hot. The beef short rib appetizer was lukewarm and a mushy texture. The seasoning on it was good. The lamp shank tasted like turkey. The butter chicken was a standard good butter chicken. And the beef short rib entree was good. The short rib was pretty tender and the sauce was nice. Overall it was a nice experience and meal, but nothing special.

Had a birthday dinner. We were 6 people and we shared a couple of the dishes, they were all pretty good. I personally liked the sweet potato tikki and the nawabi kofta. Some dishes were a little spicy (mild) so if you do not like spicy at all, I suggest asking. The service was great, our waitress, a lovely girl was so helpful 👌

I was excited to try this place after the franklin park cocktail competition. Got a margarita, a mule, the sweet potato chaat, saag, garlic naan and chili naan. Fellow diner got the pista sour and paan clouds and kofta. The drinks have great profiles. My only gripe is that it is $14 for an immensely small amount of fluid. My mango mule was served in a comically tiny glass that had mostly ice in it, and I literally finished it in two small drinks. The taste though - fantastic. The chaat was also very good and I recommend this shareable/starter type plate. The entrees and naan were terrible. I requested spicy, and there weren't a lick of spice in anything. Both mains (kofta and saag) were shockingly bland, tiny amounts served on noisy textured plates. The saag is a blob of gooey baked feta in a bland green sauce. I did sense a small amount of a cinnamoney type flavor, but that's it. I do not recommend this type of cheese at all for saag. The kofta was bizarre and actually tasted like unseasoned American breakfast gravy. The pale white stuff, but with no pepper or seasoning. The bread was insulting. The chili naan is an $8 single piece of bread that honestly looks like a late-night drunk college student's microwave creation. A hardened, greasy piece of bread that someone put some type of yellow or orange cheese on it and it hardened. The garlic naan is a single piece of bread cut in half and served in a casket for precisely no reason. Obviously we didn't eat it all, and I think I could help the gravies with some seasoning so I asked for togo boxes. They do not offer to box your items, you have to do it at your tiny table, shuffling the plates and glasses to try and make room. Last, you have to have a cellphone to read the food menu because they don't have paper menus for food, only drinks. That should have been my warning, but I will say that a business that charges 8 bucks for a single piece of bread and $14 for 3 ounces of fluid can afford to print a paper menu for their patrons and box their takeaways. While whoever is curating the drink profiles is clearly a wonderfully talented and skilled person, I don't recommend, unfortunately.

I was visiting this place after 4.5 years, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing compared to what it used to be. I am not sure whether there has been a change in management or new chefs in the kitchen, but the overall taste and quality of the food have noticeably declined. I ordered several items, including the Mango Mule, Kababs, Chaat, Biryani, Keema, Dal, and a few more dishes. Out of everything we tried, the only item that truly tasted good was the Lamb Keema. The rest lacked the flavor, balance, and freshness that this restaurant once delivered so well. It felt far from the standards I remembered from my previous visits. Another odd experience was being served entrées and main courses on quarter plates. It simply didn’t make sense to place substantial dishes on such small plates, especially when sharing. I had to specifically request the server to bring larger plates so that we could properly enjoy the meal. To be fair, the server was polite, attentive, and efficient, and I have no complaints regarding the service. The staff did their best, and their professionalism stood out. However, the atmosphere felt dull, lacking the vibrant energy and warmth that once made the place enjoyable. Overall, it was not the experience I had hoped for after so many years.

I had super high hopes for this place. I purposefully did not read reviews prior to coming here because I felt this place was going to crazy good. It was not and I was so let down. Aab India remains my favorite spot to date. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The small plates are a la cart, the big plates only come with rice and anything else is extra. I ordered the lamb shank which came out to be a lamb leg in an odd tasting sauce. The meat was kinda tough, but not overly tough where it takes forever to chew, and not flavorful at all. The sauce "helped" the lamb taste better but not by much. Mixed with the rice, it got a wee bit better hence the 2 stars. There wasn't even an option for spice level. When I asked my wife about her food, she stated the food didn't taste any different from something we could make at home. The price for the meals wasn't worth a penny. The waitress didn't really know the menu well. One of the dishes was described as a quesadilla (the nan is the tortilla). The meat was cooked inside a naan and when it came out there were no additional sauces or anything. It did not look good at all. Oh and to add...I ordered one of the drinks from the circular menu at $14, and when the drink came out it was like 2-3 double shots. It's was pretty good but definitely wasn't worth the money. The inside was nice looking and very calming. It's quiet enough to eavesdrop on others. I wasn't trying to but my wife and I could hear others and (ones on the other side of a glass wall) talking from different points in our conversation. It's too bad the food isn't worth the money. I'd go to Haveli on high and spring St before I come here again.

I Used to come here all the time. I came here today for my birthday and it definitely wasn’t what it used to be. Everything was fine but they gave us 2 pieces of short ribs and everyone around us got 3. When I asked the waitress she had no clue about anything. The sweet potato chat also was really different and not the quality it used to be. Not sure if I’ll be back

This is Americanized Indian food. Disappointed in the fact that there were no options for spice in regards to the dishes. Also very overpriced for no flavor food. I ordered the butter chicken, came with white rice, naan came separate. ( This was after my small plate was sent back due to the saffron rice had no favor and it was a quesadilla dish that was made with naan with meat inside.) Overall ambience was very decorative, but there are other Indian restaurants locally owned that are 5+ stars and above! This was NOT it

It was October 30, 2025. Convention Centre had 3 conferences at the same time. Downtown was full of people and there was no space at any restaurants for dinner. I kept on walking and reached this great place and found all seats were empty. I entered and got a seat gladly. Restaurant had just 4 options for Vegetarians and I ordered Malai Kofta and Boondi Raita. Please look at the images of Kofta and Raita. Worst food ever for me in last 31 years. Look at the quantity of raita, look at condition of Kofta. Holy Duck. I don’t know why they call themselves an Indian restaurant if they know nothing about Indian food. Just having a white waitress won’t make Indians happy. Have some good food also. I’ll never recommend anyone to eat there. On the other hand, it was crazily expensive. Just double the amount of all other restaurants in city and quantity was just half of others.
