Fantastic food, so tasty! The customer service was great and oh did I say the food was amazing? :) thank you, El Punto Cubano!!
10/10! The food was so good! I had the skirt steak sandwich & requested it to be dipped in the garlic sauce, which was the icing on the cake. The flavors worked so well together and I will definitely be back. This is my first time having Cuban food and will definitely be back! I paired it with their freshly squeezed mango juice. It was so refreshing! Can’t wait to try the other items on the menu.
The food here is absolutely incredible! I literally could not put the fork down once I started eating. I got the ropa vieja and wow! So so so good. Please come here to try this food, I’m surprised this place isn’t viral yet.
Amazing food and customer service! I had the cubano and it was by far the best I’ve ever had! Thank you 🙏🏻
Great customer service provided by Elianna would come again and the food was amazing 😋
This was easily the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. The owner was sweet and friendly as well.
SO GOOD!! The perfect sandwich, the pork and ham mixed perfectly on the Cuban sandwich.
If I could give it 10 stars I would! Hands down the best food in NYC right now. I wanted to be selfish and not post this review bc I planned to gate keep forever, but it’s too god not to share!! When I tell you every dish on the menu is full of flavor and love!! You can just taste the joy that is put in every dish down to the veggies lol Everything is fresh, made to order, and beautifully plated. The staff are also all so friendly and kind. Their hospitality is unmatched. It’s also a plus that it’s woman-owned!! Definitely check them out! Ps I have no pictures to share even though every time I go I say imma take a pic of my food, but Im always halfway through with my dish when I remember 🥹
I've only had the pleasure of eating their empanadas, but OMG they were delicious. I had the carne & cheese and the guava & cheese. Each made fresh and on the spot, the moment you place your order. My favorite being the carne & cheese, that I've already been back for another as a quick snack to hold me down before dinner. They have seating at their counter, so that was pretty nice. Excited to go back to try their ropa vieja and Cuban sandwich.
Really enjoyed the cuban food at El Punto. My favorite was the carne asada sandwich, followed by the chicken croquetas. I did nor like their ham croquetas. Food was VERY resonably priced, especially when compared to other spots in the food hall. They thought our order was for take away so some was kind of cold but I really enjoyed sitting on the stools and watching the cooking process. Recommend coming with time to chill- it was not that busy and our food took like 30 MINUTES to come out 😳 Would come again!
Despite a slight delay in service, the experience at El Punto Cubano in the food hall was unequivocally worth every moment of anticipation! The Mushroom Ropa Vieja exceeded all expectations with its savory richness and robust flavors. Each bite offered a delightful fusion of tender mushrooms, aromatic spices, and hearty satisfaction. I ate every last bit of it. If you are shopping around Albee, you must stop here and try it.
I want to start off by saying this is the best Cuban spot you will find in Brooklyn!! I was amazed by how authentic their food is especially the pollo con arroz. It has so much flavor and comes with such a good portion I mean look at the picture! The service is as great and the cashier even helped me on deciding what to get. They play music as well, it really gives off tropical Cuban vibes making you feel like you're in Cuba! I would recommend this to anyone that's in the area or if your looking for authentic Cuban food
After circling the entire Dekalb market in search of something to eat, we found this Cuban spot. From the friendly service, to the amazing flavorful food, this restaurant is highly recommended. Seating is around the entire restaurant/kitchen area. 1) Cuban Sandwich : 10/10 2) Grilled Chicken plate: 10/10
The flavors are bouncing in my mouth. Everything tasted so good. I had the grilled chicken platter. Deff coming back again
This restaurant is in Dekalb Market amongst many other small food stops. While trying to pick a dinner spot, I saw a fellow customer with a delicious looking dish and had to ask where she got it from. It was the Cuban mofongo from El Punto Cubano, so of course I got the same thing. My boyfriend ordered the pollo picante and both dishes were soooo good with ingredients so fresh. Definitely gave a homemade feel with great service. I would recommend to anyone coming to Dekalb Market!!!
The food was delicious. For appetizers I had the empanada de carne (beef) and my partner had sopa de pollo (chicken soap). For the main course I had the Pollo Frito (fried chicken) and my partner had the Pollo Asado (roasted chicken) Everything were well cooked and flavorful. My partner also enjoyed their love passion mocktail. The service was good, and the owner was very sweet and courteous. We look forward to coming back again.
Meat lovers attention! True Cuban cuisine founded in the Albee Square food hall. Roasted pork So delicious and juicy just like falling from the bone!! The salmon is so fresh and tender. staffs are super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend everyone!
The service here was great. They were closing and have a self service register, but I had a question about their sandwich de carne asada not being listed on the computer. It was under Roast Beef. Arely was so kind and took my order even as she was doing closing duties. I ordered the sandwich and the ropa vieja. Excuse the photo below, it shuffled around in the bag. Arely also graciously gave me all of the sauces they had available to try, and they were great as well. I look forward to going back and trying other items.
The fact I burned my mouth eating these proves 1) they are just that good 2) they’re made fresh 3) I have no impulse control when it comes to cheese. 10/10 experience would return to injure myself further. 👅
I wasn’t expecting the menu to be the way it was set up (Big Restaurant Not corner booth 🫶🏽) I went for the Cuban sandwich and it was amazing I also had the beef empanadas which was authentic just like the Cuban !
Food was very good, rice and beans was definitely on point!!!!! Best red beans I ever had….. Beef empanadas was very delicious!!!!! Definitely worth a try if you guys didn’t try it already. Also the fried chicken was very good just wanted it fried a little crunchier!!!!! My Wife ordered the fried shrimp and that was AMAZINGGGGGG but long story short definitely the best Cuban food I’ve ever had, Go check them guys out in Dekalb Mall
I had a delicious experience at El Punto Cubano. The food was filled with flavor and reminded me of home comfort food. The Cuban sandwich and mofongo are a hit. I’ll definitely be back.
If there’s one thing TikTok rarely fails to do, it’s lead you to delicious food. I stumbled upon El Punto Cubano after the owner did a video asking for advice, or suggestions concerning her business and it blew up on my FYP. Naturally, I had to investigate—and after 4 visits, I can confidently say this place isn’t just a viral moment, it’s a genuinely soulful Cuban spot worth the hype. Will be back again. And it was very nice meeting you this afternoon 🩷
I ate Cuban sandwich and a mofungo. Both was 10/10 with a reasonable price. Amazing. I wanna suggest the restaurant to sell Half sandwiches, the size is soooo big. I hope it’s smaller(unit price cheaper) so I can have it more often.
Good stuff. Really enjoyed the spicy chicken. The service was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Def will go back. Just bring some water for the spicy chicken 😉.

Best Cuban Sandwich in the New York City. Definitely will come back.
The food is GREAT! I’ve ordered the salmon twice now and it is delicious every time! Perfectly cooked with bold, flavorful seasoning. The rice and beans pair with it beautifully. This spot has officially become my new lunch staple!
My second time here. Elianna was super sweet and my experience was yet again amazing. I can’t wait to come a third time and try a different dish . I recommend this place ❤️
I’m ALWAYS here for the salmon plate or shrimp mofongo! Food is seasoned to perfection and service is prompt. Super easy to order on the kiosk or dining at the bar area. The empanadas are great as well. Highly recommend

The Cuban sandwich here was fantastic, very flavorful. The pickles, mustard, meat - so good! Service was so-so, but the food was very worth it. If you’re not super hungry, the sandwich can be split between two people. Recommended!
I give them four out of five stars, because the food is great and the hostess, Jahkira, was fantastic. I had a very tough day and needed a stiff drink and great food. The 2 men in the kitchen thought they had already made my food so I waited longer than normal. Jahkira reminded them of my food order with my partner, and they got right to work. She was very kind and offered us snacks while we waited. A little soup checked in with us. Every chance you got in between customers. The food was great, and she was fantastic.

They can be good, but you have to order the right thing. The salmon a la parrilla or other dishes accompanied with red/black beans and rice are really good. But the tomato based rices like a traditional arroz con pollo can be a bit salty and soupy, and pictured here was a Paella de Mariscos that disappointed me enough to leave this review. Vienna sausages in the dish (admittedly a home cooking, old school move, but for $30 we can use real chorizo), and older mussels. The salty soupy element I mentioned is here as it’s clear it’s the same arroz as what’s prepared for A con P or Ropa Vieja. Like I said, the plainer dishes are good, hence the 3 and not a lower ranking, but do not waste you money on the paella!!
Ordered the Cubano sandwich with fries for lunch. Price with tax almost $20. The sandwich was pretty good, but a little under seasoned. It was also quite small considering the price. Fries were good. Would only return if they dropped the price or made the sandwich bigger though.
- the wait time was kinda long and I had to keep going over there to check if it was ready. What about a system that texts you when ato go food is ready?! - the pork mofongo was delicious but the spicy chicken empanada was not good and they didn’t have any sauce available I’d go back but def not on a Saturday.

$20 for a garlic bread Cubano that was super mid. I would rate 6/10. Wouldn’t go back if someone else was treating, ruined my mood.
Had to wait for ages before my order was ready and then they gave it to another customer! The food was mediocre and not seasoned well. Portions were small and very expensive. There was a piece of plastic in the beans! Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone.

These sweet plantains were not good. They were still hard and not fried as much as they should’ve been. The girl at the counter was rude. She acted like I was bothering her and only said “Yes” when I asked if they sold these. I asked another question about a drink and she said she didn’t know anything. How does one not know their place of employment and what they offer? Ask someone else there? They weren’t even busy. Worst service out of the 4 stalls I purchased from that night.
Worst cuban food I’ve had by far. Bad quality ham in the cubano, the bread which is usually the best part was not good. Undercooked, salted, cold plantains, bland empanada. Not so great other stuff. Ordering issues. Left part of the order out. Also got charged twice even though I told them that the beep went off and asked them to check (the self serve tablet froze and didn’t confirm). Response to owner response: there's an older review that mentioned similar issues w the plantains. I totally understand that the tablet froze, the issue was that they did not check if a charge was made and charged me again. There were multiple trips made back, so there were chances to communicate this. I have not gotten a refund yet, though perhaps it takes time. I have to wonder how they got such bad quality ham. It was like jello.
Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t good. The wait was long and the sandwich was burnt. I expected better quality for the time I spent waiting.
