Opiniones de Kiki's Albee Square
Finally made it to Kiki’s and I’m happy to say it was worth all the hype. They don’t take reservations for small groups though so there’s often a wait, but we went at an odd time on Valentine’s Day and were able to be seated quickly. Service was great and the restaurant had a really cozy feel that definitely matched the vibe of enjoying coastal Greek food. The calamari was some of the best I’ve ever had, super fresh with a perfect crumb and the right amount of crisp. The other appetizer we got was the grilled loukaniko, which is like an orange sausage. I definitely think these two were the standouts of our experience and I’d come back for the appetizers alone. I ordered the Branzino and it was also very fresh with a nice crispy skin, very bony but that’s to be expected. They also came with lemon potatoes that were nicely drenched in a lemony butter sauce. My boyfriend ordered the kebabs, which was a special not featured on the menu— they were full of flavor and very delicious. Kiki’s also had lots of small touches I personally really enjoyed that made it feel very cozy and welcoming, like small coat hooks behind the tables and lots of authentic Greek touches. I also didn’t feel like they rushed us at any point, despite being very busy and I appreciated that. Overall I thought the prices were good too for the quality of the food, definitely try and come on an off day or time though because I’ve tried to get in before and the wait times were ridiculous. I’d recommend Kiki’s for a date night and some authentic Greek food.
My girlfriend and I happened to be in the area and stumbled into Kiki’s on Valentine’s Day, and we were blown away by this place. Kiki’s is hidden away inside what looks to be an old Chinese print shop. The interior is dimly lit, and it’s extremely cozy. It’s got an atmosphere almost like you’re a sailor wandering into a random bar between trips. We (luckily) arrived at a perfect time and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly, and she actually told us about a dish that wasn’t on the menu, which was the chicken kebabs that I ended up ordering. In addition to that, we ordered the grilled loukaniko sausage and calamari for appetizers, and my girlfriend had the branzino. All of the food was incredible. The sausage was perfect. The casing was crisp and snappy, and the filling was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. It has a perfect hint of orange flavor and with some lemon squeezed over it, it was perfection. The fried calamari was among the best I’ve ever had, personally. The calamari had the perfect texture, and the coating was so light and crunchy. It doesn’t overpower the calamari at all. It just enhances the flavor entirely. The calamari wasn’t served with any sauce, just lemon, and that’s truly all it needed. It was so good. Our entrees were also incredible as expected. My chicken kebabs were seasoned and cooked to perfection. The chicken was juicy and tender. The fries were also the perfect amount of crispy and seasoned so well. The pita bread was also good. The dish also came with a tzatziki sauce that was very fresh and light, perfectly balancing all the flavors on my plate. My girlfriend’s branzino was beautifully presented and just so simple and skillfully cooked. All of the flavors present enhanced and brought out the flavor of the fish instead of overpowering it or masking it. It was so light and flaky, with the skin just expertly crusted. The lemon potatoes on the side added a delicious layer of acidity and heartiness to the dish as well. Overall, our experience here was incredible. The service was great, the prices were not bad, and most importantly the food was amazing. Our meal just felt so balanced and so fresh. It was one of those meals you walk away from just feeling good, energized, and full. I can’t wait to go back here.
Genuinely one of my favorite places to eat in the entire city! You’ll most likely have to wait, but it’s so worth it. When I have family visit from out of town, Kiki’s is typically our first stop for a fresh, DELICIOUS family meal. Now, after mannyyyyyy visits, Kiki’s holds a very special place in my heart and is a special place for me and my mom. I strongly recommend enjoying their Greek salad and Branzino. Price and taste cannot be beat!
Amazing Greek / Mediterranean food! The shrimp were amazing. Salad was fresh. Moussaka was phenomenal. Great view of the WTC if you sit outside. Huge indoor seating. There is a line to get in, have to have your whole group there for them to let you in.
I love this place. I’ve been coming for years and it never disappoints. The food and wine are consistently delicious and the price is great. The staff is always friendly. This is a staple.
Don't let the sign fool you, this is the LES’s best-kept Greek secret. Walking past the old Chinese printing shop awning on Division Street, you’d never guess there’s a bustling, rustic Greek taverna inside. Kiki's has mastered that 'if you know, you know' Dimes Square energy. The interior is all exposed wood beams and dim, moody lighting that feels both intimate for a date and lively enough for a group bottle of house wine. Pro-Tips for the Win: • The Wait: They don't take reservations and the line gets legendary. Strategy: Put your name down and grab a drink at their sister bar across the street, Forgtmenot. They’ll call you when your table is ready. • The Order: The grilled octopus is non-negotiable, perfectly charred and tender. If you want comfort, the Moussaka is layered like a dream. For dessert, the Niko's Cold Cheesecake with the fresh strawberry sauce is the sleeper hit of the menu. • The Vibe: It’s 'hipster-chic' but the service is surprisingly warm. It feels like a Greek grandmother is in the kitchen, but a DJ is handling the guest list. • Logistics: The space is larger than it looks from the street (three dining rooms!), so it’s actually great for medium-sized groups if you arrive early. Whether you're here for the scene or the saganaki, it’s one of the most consistent spots in the neighborhood. 10/10 would bring an out-of-towner here to look like a local.
Tucked away in the vibrant chaos of New York City's Lower East Side, Kiki's stands out as one of those rare spots where the hype doesn't just live up to expectations—it exceeds them. This unpretentious Greek taverna has earned its cult following for good reason: it's a masterclass in straightforward, soul-satisfying Mediterranean fare that leaves you craving more long after the last bite. From the moment you step inside, the energy is electric—think lively chatter over clinking glasses, the sizzle of the grill in the open kitchen, and that unmistakable aroma of charred lamb and fresh herbs wafting through the air. The space is cozy and no-frills, with simple wooden tables and a chalkboard menu that keeps things refreshingly casual. Reservations? Good luck; this place packs in crowds night after night, but the wait is always worth it. Now, onto the stars of the show. The Greek salad here is nothing short of transcendent—a vibrant explosion of crisp romaine, tangy feta that crumbles like snow, briny olives, and perfectly ripe tomatoes dressed in a light, herbaceous vinaigrette that ties it all together without overwhelming a single ingredient. It's fresh, it's balanced, and it's the kind of starter that makes you wish you could bottle the simplicity and take it home. No soggy greens or overly dressed nonsense; just pure, honest excellence that sets the tone for the meal. But if the salad steals your heart, the cheesecake will claim your soul. Oh, the cheesecake—dense yet impossibly light, with a subtle graham cracker crust that gives way to a velvety filling infused with just the right whisper of citrus and vanilla. It's not overly sweet, allowing the creamy richness to shine through in every forkful. Served in generous slices (though they vanish all too quickly), it's the perfect capstone to a hearty dinner, leaving you in a state of blissful, full-bellied contentment. In a city drowning in dessert options, Kiki's version is a standout—hands down one of the best cheesecakes you'll encounter anywhere. Pair it all with a glass of crisp Assyrtiko from their thoughtful Greek wine list, and you've got the makings of an unforgettable night. Service is efficient and warm, even on the busiest evenings, and prices are fair for the quality (entrees hover around $20–$30). Is it perfect? Not quite—the lamb chops can sometimes veer toward the fatty side if you're not in the mood—but at its core, Kiki's is reliable, delicious, and utterly addictive. If you're seeking authentic Greek flavors without the tourist traps, do yourself a favor and add Kiki's to your list. Five stars, no hesitation. Just go hungry, and brace yourself for that cheesecake-induced food coma.
Very good experience at Kiki’s. You can’t call and reserve a table it’s walk-in based you put your name down and get a call when it’s your time. It’s a big place separated into multiple hubs in the street but still usually packed. Food is very good. My recommendation is to stick to the authentic Greek dishes. I got the Bifteki which was very tasty. First time that I got the Pastichio, it is something between moussaka and lasagna, It was great but I personally prefer moussaka. Fried calamari was okay like I said better to stick to the Greek dishes. Tzatziki was also very good. They also offer carafes of their house wine, red or white.
I’ve been recommended by my friends to try this place. It indeed deserves the hype! A really cute little place with chill atmosphere. Food is awesome. I got Moussaka (super flavorful), lamb chop (signature dish!), grilled octopus (this one is nice but not as special as other dishes), cold cheesecake (one of the best cheesecakes!!). Would love to come again:)
Food was great, this place lives up to the hype! The vibe here is an interesting mix - Greek food over Chinese-inspired plates, in a cozy vintage interior under the store sign written in Chinese characters. We ordered a lot, including all the recommended dishes. Everything was incredibly delicious, especially the octopus, moussaka, meat platter, and the cheesecake! Soooooo good!
Cozy meal on a cold day! Love the lamp chops and moussaka! The Greek wine complemented the heavier dishes well, and the dishes were great to share.

One of my favorite spots in the city. The best version of classic greek dishes, served in true and beautiful downtown ambience and at a very reasonable price by great servers. Awesome joint.

Got a little bit of everything as I was hungry. Was a little disappointed they were out of the fish so it must be good. The beans were really tasty. I loved the block of feta on the salad. The sausage was a little overcooked so it made it a little rubbery. The fried eggplant was one of my favorite dishes. Towards the bottom it can get a little oily. Nice place to relax with friends and have a bottle of wine and catch up.
Fun LES Greek spot—Kiki's delivers big, flavorful portions without breaking the bank! Food was great: grilled octopus tender and charred just right, saganaki crispy and melty (flamed tableside fun), big Greek salad fresh and loaded, and lamb chops juicy with herbs. Everything hearty and satisfying. Service was friendly and quick (they hustle in the small space). Atmosphere is cozy and energetic—dim lighting, packed tables, neighborhood buzz—feels like a lively Greek taverna in NYC, though it gets noisy and wait-heavy.
Busy Greek restaurant tucked away on Division Street with generous portions and very reasonable prices. The space is loud and lively, with communal tables and a casual vibe, and dishes like lamb chops, grilled octopus, and zucchini fries are perfect for sharing with friends. Expect a wait at peak times since they don’t really rely on heavy signage or flashy decor, just good food and a fun atmosphere.
I went to Kiki on a Friday night around 6.30pm, arriving just as the evening rush kicked in. Within minutes the place was buzzing—inside and out—thanks to the still warm September weather. The outdoor area was packed, so we were given a table inside, which still had a lively vibe, although it felt quite dark. We shared several plates. The octopus was a bit dry and chewy, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The courgette chips, on the other hand, were tasty—crispy and flavorful—though a bit heavy on the cheese and salt. The moussaka was only okay, served lukewarm and lacking the creamy and melting texture I usually expect. For dessert, we tried the baklava, which was good but not particularly memorable. Prices were reasonable by New York standards, and the drinks were a highlight. Their house Kiki’s beer was fun to try, and the half-bottle of orange wine was a great value at $24. The crowd skewed young and energetic, and the atmosphere was vibrant and upbeat. The staff matched that vibe—friendly and fun. Overall, it was a lively night out with solid drinks and atmosphere, but the food didn’t quite win me over enough to rush back.
Overall pretty good, but not the best or most authentic Greek food I've eaten. It's okay. The service when we sat was pretty quick with waters. The food itself was okay, flavor is there but not strongly. The Saganaki had goat cheese, which isn't traditionally the case nor was it specified in the menu. They do need groups to all be there to be seated and don't take reservations. I'd understand if it was amazing food, but it was just okay.
I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while now, and I can finally say I can cross this off my list! Came here with a friend on a Thursday night and thought it would be a long wait. We were seated immediately to our surprise when we arrived a little after 6pm. For starters, we ordered Tzatziki (came with pita bread - that could’ve been warmer), and the Grilled Octopus (so good!). My friend had the Moussaka while I got the Branzino with Roasted Lemon Potatoes. The branzino was flavorful with the squeeze of lemon on top. Both entrees were filling and enjoyable. The only thing was that it was really hot in the room we were in, even with the open windows. And I’m not sure if it was because we were seated near the kitchen, but they should consider putting a fan in there. Overall, we had a pretty good experience. Staff was friendly and service was quick and efficient. I love the speakeasy-tavern like vibe of this place.
service was great, food was alright - a bit under seasoned for my taste. I did like the general vibe of the restaurant.
i've been here many times and always would go back. prices are reasonable for the amount of food. the lamb is my favorite as well as the zucchini chips

Great food and quick service! The ambience is nice, with old world charm. I'd come again to try other things on the menu.

Heard great things about this place, but was underwhelmed The host was very rude. The service was poor. . Apps were mediocre, and dinner was served before we barely had a chance to even eat them.…
The food was all really good but there was no heat on in the restaurant! It was insane to be able to actually see your breath INSIDE. 😭 I was shocked. Also the servers were doing that thing where they just put food down wherever which was confusing because we were a big party and we were all trying new things, so we all ended up eating some of each others food because we didn't know what was what and who ordered what lol. The interior of the restaurant was cute but please for the love of all thats good turn the heat on. My toes were numb by the end of the meal and everyone was wearing coats and hats.
Food was wonderful. Service was pretty bad. It just seemed like they didn't give a shit. Maybe because I was a single person sitting at the bar but I had to ask for my salad that was forgotten, retrieve my own utensils from another table and zero follow up on how the meal was. It wasn't that busy.
I went here the other day with my friends, and we had high expectations. The tzatziki was good, but the calamari was very disappointing not crispy at all. For my main, I ordered the chicken with lemon roasted potatoes. While the chicken was juicy and tender, the potatoes weren’t actually roasted, the sauce was room temp?, and it lacked any real lemon flavor. good vibes though and nice ambiance.
The food was decent. Zucchini chips were kind of burnt and bitter, the shrimp smelled a little too fishy and the chicken was smelly as well. Ending the night off with the cheese cake was nice, it was light, and the sourness of the strawberry sauce balances the sweetness. However, what was quite disrespectful: receiving clearly used, dirty, utensils. I would not come here again based on the uncleanliness.
The food had good flavor, but the portions are small, so keep that in mind when ordering. The place is tight and dimly lit, with a relaxed atmosphere. It's best to go with a reservation. The man at the entrance is not friendly, and the average wait time for a table is around 45 minutes.
Came here for an early dinner. The crowd picks up around 6:30. You wouldn’t find a seat at the bar. There are long bench for large groups. As we were seated and looking at the menu, I overheard the server messed up the drink order for the table next to ours. I joked with my friend, I hope it doesn’t happen to us. It did happened to us. I ordered shrimp pasta but got sautéed shrimp instead. They brought the shrimp back and told me it’s going to a wait for the shrimp pasta. The restaurant was only at 40% occupancy and they messed up the orders. The entree Mama’ chicken came before the zucchini chips. We did enjoy the appetizer. The wait for the shrimp pasta was at least 15 minutes. Which we finished the appetizer. I asked my friend to start on her entree. The Mama’ chicken was getting cold. Nobody came over to check on us or refill water. The server did not removed the wrong order from the bill. It took another 10 minutes to get the correct bill since the restaurant was starting to fill up.

All too disappointing experience! Let’s start with the standing in the middle of the room while waiting for the last person of our party (5 of us already here). Can’t seat AT THE BAR can stand near it because if people want to come and eat we can’t be taking their space. Literally no one at the bar the 7 min we waited… could definitely have been seated and started with drinks but oh well. Poor staff management. Let’s continue, we ordered drinks. Out of the 6 drinks, 3 were wrong. We ordered 2 lagunitas and are given something completely different without acknowledgement. Asked for one of these specialty Greek beer and get given a presidente… again no notice about it. One of ur returned the beer and took literally 20 min to get a replacement. Let’s talk about food.. We are asked to ordered everything at once.. ok but then 3 of us got served their main dishes, and a bit more than 25 min later when the 3 are about done with their meal and after 2 times asking the food finally came. So complete missed again on that one. We got the mixed platter. Sausage was ok but dry , lamb was fine and bifteki wayyyy too salty.. Forced to pay 10% gratuity with such poor service feels like extortion to be honest. Will never come back and hope people get a better experience than this.

Went for dinner, waited 35 minutes for a table for 2, spent about $90 with tip. They said they were out of a ton of meat items, waitress was extremely pushy trying to rush us from start to finish, pushed the check on us and said they were "closing the back" at 9:30 despite the place saying it was open until 11, effectively rushing us out within 45 minutes of us being seated. Food was also bland, lukewarm, and dry. Terrible all around from the service to the food. Don't go.
It was enjoyable when I visited last year (oct 2024)- interesting flavors and fresh food- but after coming again (Aug 2025) it became one of the places I’d recommend you absolutely avoid. The pastitichio is crumbly, awfully dry, and barely seasoned. The $65 mixed platter took over 40 minutes to come out and every single piece of meat was tough and dry. Best part were the fries and even then it was a low bar. Not to mention the nonexistent ventilation in summer, overly dim lighting, sticky tables with its black paint peeling off, and although kind- very slow service. I’m not sure how they’re expanding and leasing the neighboring properties, it was quite impossible to enjoy the food or the experience.
