Opiniones de Rasa Albee Square
We had a wonderful dining experience at Rasa. We ordered the Massaman curry, roti canai, and nasi kerabu—each dish brought back memories of the local flavors we enjoyed in Malaysia. We also loved chatting with the owner, Kenny, who has plenty of fascinating stories to share. The service staff were attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Rasa is definitely a place we look forward to returning to on our next visit.
Very kind service, gave us dates when we told them we were fasting and advice about which food to choose. Great menu.
We had a wonderful dining experience at Rasa Malaysian Restaurant. My wife and I decided to try their traditional Malaysian cuisine, and everything exceeded our expectations. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can truly taste the traditional Malaysian spices and cooking style in every dish. The portions were generous, and the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with family. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we are very happy we chose this restaurant. I highly recommend Rasa to anyone who wants to experience real Malaysian food.🥘
Rasa has been my favorite restaurant for years. Two things: amazing service and food!! By now I've tried most of the menu and I have yet to try a dish that has been less than amazing. It's also one of the last few restaurants that still pack your leftovers for you and it always makes me feel so cared for by the staff. I came by tonight to celebrate my birthday with my friends and I had to move my resevation to a later time (which is unideal on my part) however the staff were very accommodating despite the restaurant being full and I also brought a birthday cake (I called ahead of time and they didn't charge us :) and they brought out candles and cutlery for us! We stayed for a long while (also not ideal on our part haha but service was dwindling down for the night) and the staff didn't mind. Overall I always leave the restaurant with my belly and soul full, thank you ❤️
genuinely wonderful spot!!! we easily got a table for 4 during peak hours on a Friday night. the nasi lemak was delicious and the roti canai was so incredible I got another order to go. later in the night a bar refused me entry unless I threw it away so I literally cut my night short to protect this $10 roti canai, it was that good! this was my friends’ first introduction to malaysian food and needless to say they are all massive fans now!!!
It was our first time trying Malaysian food and it didn’t disappoint. We started with an appetizer platter which came with 2 chicken satays, 2 tofu puffs and 2 curry puffs. Very flavorful. Satay sauce was a little too sweet. Then we got mee goreng and nasi lemak with chicken curry. Very different, came with fried anchovies, coconut rice, papad, curry chicken , cucumbers and fried peanuts. The noodles were nice and spicy served with a hot sauce. The service was excellent. Quick and friendly.
I recently visited Rasa in New York, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food came out quickly. We started with the Sarawak, which is a bowl of pure magic. The flavors are unlike anything I’ve had before. It’s a deep, rich broth infused with aromatic spices, layered with tender noodles that soak up all the deliciousness. The menu describes it as having a "combination of earthy and umami flavors," and they were spot on—each bite was a comforting burst of flavor. The Sarawak is perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of heat and richness. It’s a must-try for anyone craving something different and exciting. We also had the Pad Thai with chicken, which was fresh, vibrant, and full of delicious crunch. The balance of sweet, sour, and savory was impeccable. The chicken was tender, and the flavors just came together perfectly. If you're in New York, Rasa is a must-visit! Will definitely be back for more!
Absolutely amazing! The staff is friendly, attentive and just all around great. The food is absolutely delicious. The Singaporean- Indonesian- Halal restaurant is just amazing. The menu has Malaysian and Thai dishes to meet your needs. The menu items are affordable and the portion sizes are perfect. Highly recommend giving this spot a try especially if you’re looking for an authentic experience.
I really love Malaysia food and this spot does not disappoint. We opened with the chicken satay and the sweet peanut sauce on top is insanely good. I’d highly recommend to Get the beef rampang! It’s perfection. Great service, chill ambiance
The waiter were caring and attentive. The ambiance was fantastic. The only thing was the food. Some of the blandest food I have ever had. I couldn't finish my meal, nor could my friends. I believe this cuisine does not suit our south Asian pallette. However, we are all extremely adventurous and have eaten many different types of food. The soup was basically what I imagine people in the great depression ate, boiled cabbage water. That was the wonton soup.
My friend and I came here on Xmas Eve. This was my first time trying Malaysian food. We were greeted and got a table right away I ordered the hot ginger and she ordered the Thai ice tea. For the appetizer, we had the dancing fries and chicken satay. The spicy mayo/curry dip was so delicious! It paired really well with the fries. The chicken satay was tasty and the peanut sauce was a nice touch. It was my first time having both appetizers. For the main dish I had the drunken noodles with shrimp. I had Thai drunken noodles before. I enjoyed my meal. My friend had Nasi lemak with curry chicken. She was not a fan of the anchovies in it and I believe they had it grounded up as well as fried. I would suggest you ask them to not add it if you do order this. I did not see dessert on the menu. I would def recommend the fries and drunken noodles.
The food in general is pretty bland, especially the meat. You really do need to dip that sauce. But the appetizer are great. I really like the mango salad and roti chanai. The mango salad used sweet Thai green mango, which is very crunchy and different from American mango. Roti chanai is crusty, soft and melt in your mouth.
