First time visiting this location and it did not disappoint! Grabbed drinks and light eats and thanks to Jenna we also purchased some merchandise. 10/10
Five star spot, would recommend for anyone, Caitlin was so welcoming and made the night so fun!!!
The overall ambiance of Ray's bar was electric and lively, yet never overwhelming. The acoustics were well-balanced, allowing for conversation without sacrificing the enjoyment of the music. The crowd was a diverse mix of locals and tourists, creating a vibrant and welcoming environment where strangers quickly became friends. In conclusion, my experience at this New York bar was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was immersed in a world of incredible entertainment, expertly crafted cocktails and friendly service. Whether you're a music lover, a cocktail connoisseur, or simply looking for a night of unforgettable fun, this bar is an absolute must-visit. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I guarantee that you'll leave with incredible memories and a desire to return as soon as possible.
Omar was an amazing bartender! Very professional and great drinks.
Ray’s is one of those bars you know you can sit down and have a good drink & chat without having to think twice or too hard about where to go amongst the many options in Brooklyn. The ambience is a pleasant spectrum, and the service is what I return for. Annika behind the bar is a doll, and the management has always been very kind to me as well. Wonderful drink and food options as well. This place rocks!
So far me and my boyfriend have come here twice, once during the week for happy hour and again this past Saturday. The bartenders were more than welcoming and awesome on both nights. I think we will make this our regular spot.
Long-time patron of Ray's here! I had been regularly going to Ray's LES since it first opened and when I found out they were opening another location in my neighborhood I freaked out. The food is awesome -- yummy bar food like the LES but with some really fun new additions (I can't visit without getting fries + beignets) + the cocktail menu is great. Great atmosphere and great people. Now that it's right by me I've been finding myself there almost every night :)
I've been numerous times this past month and I do love the atmosphere. It seems a little bit bigger than the LES Ray's but looks the exact same! I'm really excited for this spot, great cocktails, fancy Guinness on draft, and the food is amazing! I'll be there twice a week.
As a strong supporter and loyalist to LES Ray's I was interested to see how BK Ray's would find it's way into my heart. Almost three months since its opening I can honestly say that I am beyond impressed by everything the new location has to offer. Fantastic food menu, elevated and delicious drinks, attentive and sincere staff, its the Ray's you know and love but with new tricks and treats! Much like the OG location, you come a strange but leave part of the family. My recommendations include the nachos, mushroom "pulled pork" sandwich, and the Ray Charles.
So happy there is a Ray's in Brooklyn now. LOVE the LES location and love this one just as much. The food here is amazing. Love the chicken sandwich and the burger is just as good. Vibe is always right any night of the week!
Cait is the best! Showed my friends from out of town what nyc is about!
I love Rays and have always enjoyed the community vibe they try and incorporate. It’s a friendly place with great bar staff, it’s easy, and genuinely everyone just wants to have a good time. The wings are solid and it’s not pretentious. The prices for what any bar is around Williamsburg/Greenpoint is competitive regardless of whether it’s considered a dive or not.
Cait ways treats us so well, it’s our favorite local place
Great service. Bartender was very personable. Loved to see non alcoholic options at the bar!
The fries are best-in-class for the McDonald’s style category
Great, straight up bar. Good service, tasty food, good range of beers and well mixed cocktails. Sit out the front and enjoy the people watching over a good drink.
A true gem! Awesome food, high quality drinks, fun pool table in the middle, excellent service. Great vibes to casually kick back and spend time with your friends. 10/10
There isn't a better bar. The staff is so nice and happy. Also, whoever the door guy is needs a raise. I don't care how much you're paying him. Quickly becoming a neighborhood legend 🍻
I love this bar. Super fun, good music and prices and vibe and the bouncer is always cool as hell. Im sitting outside eating the burger and moaning because its so good.
Kendall and Harvey really set the tone for the night. Great energy and music! And don’t get me started on the music, will definitely be back.
Ray’s has one of the most solid, straightforward and affordable food options in the neighborhood. I highly recommend the chicken sandwich, cheeseburger and wings. Staff goes above and beyond. Even their well alcohol selection is worth the money and they have fantastic seasonal cocktails. And please, play some pool in their pristine table.
High vibes. Staff is nice. Music and drinks too.
Good happy hour. Every day deals. Vibey inside.

This place was amazing.Excellent drinks and ambiance. The overall atmosphere is super friendly and the music is great! The prices are reasonable. Will be back every time I am in NYC.
Love this bar. Starting haunting this spot in the summertime and it quickly became a meet up spot amongst the friend group. One of the employees Caitlin is consistently warm, helpful and brings some laughs every time I visit. I’ll keep coming back.
listen, i had heard the hype over the years of this place and its les location… it had sort of a reputation of being scene-y with a lot of poser men with tattoos trying to prove they’re amazing at pool over overpriced well drinks. BUT LET ME SAY!! rays i am so sorry. this place is sick. drinks are good, not overpriced for the area, awesome mix of people who all are p nice, cool bouncers and bartenders. i love the vibe and it is not at all trying to be something it isn’t— like any good dive !! go to rays even if ur skeptical and check it out
Chrissy made an amazing espresso martini and Ray is a great barback! Incredible place!
Rays Bar BK is that girl. The music is literally perfect—like it was handpicked just for the girlies. Shoutout to Kendall for controlling the vibe in here because wow… the mixes, the timing, the flow? Flawless. The drinks are strong, the crowd is cute, and the whole place just feels like the perfect little queer haven. 11/10, Kendall you’re a star.
Ray’s is the perfect neighborhood bar — great vibe, solid drinks, and friendly staff. Cait keeps everything running smoothly and it always feels welcoming.
Cait is an absolute rockstar. Treats us as family every time we go. Omar is the best bartender but watch out for Amer. Can’t go wrong hanging at Rays in Brooklyn.
Great summertime day bar. Lots of outdoor space. Perfect bites. We had the fries, chicken sandwich, and wings. Nice price point on the drinks. All were delicious! Right on a bustling intersection - the place was a perfect people watching and friend making spot.
The best neighborhood bar in Brooklyn. Me and my friends had the best time there and it was mostly because of our great bartender Cait!
This neighborhood gem is a must-visit! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is consistently delicious, with a menu that offers something for everyone—whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or just some light bites. The environment is lively and fun, making it a great spot to catch up with friends, or even unwind solo. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and ready to make your experience enjoyable. And let’s not forget their amazing happy hour deals—you won’t want to miss out! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is definitely worth a visit.

We had the BBQ PULLED TRUMPET MUSHROOM SANDWICH — it was so good, we ordered another one! The crispy onions were perhaps a bit too crispy though and possibly could've had more mushrooms on it. The nachos were good as well, but a bit difficult to eat since the cheese hardened on top.
Around a 4.5 - this is a solid place to grab some cheap drinks and good food. The $20 burger and martini is amazing and frankly better than a lot of highly rated burgers. The martinis are also quite good - High Life is ice cold. A great place to make some mistakes and get a bit messy!
Ray’s Hometown Bar Layout/atmosphere *Six seat bar to the right; leather booths, two pool tables & disco ball to the left; random celebrity photos on the wood panel walls; outdoor tables on sidewalk and in the street Food/drink *Pretzel (mustard, queso) - solid bar snack; warm; little heavy on the salt

This feels like they purchased a dive bar concept at costco. The food is pretty flavorless. Specifically avoid the nachos, the cheese is not even close to enjoyable. The service is indifferent, very hipster, i.e. "what do you want, i'll be back in 10 minutes with something close" The only good thing about this place is the location.
Clearly overwhelmed on their second night, hopefully service can improve when they get their feet under themselves. We were excited to support a new place in the neighborhood but we ended up waiting 30 minutes to order our second round of drinks and some food. Eventually we gave up and just asked to close our tab. Naturally, they added 2 random drinks we didn’t order to our check. When we disputed the extra drinks, the bartender got annoyed and asked for another card for some reason, which we didn’t provide. Wish them luck but it’s a “sceney” bar for now, we’ll give them another shot another time.
Great bar. Absolutely panicked when it was daylight savings. They didn’t know how to close the bar because there was no 2am :(
So here’s the thing: mistakes happen. They’re an unavoidable part of life. It’s how you respond to mistakes. My bartender was very kind, forgot to ring something in, and he made it right. Here’s the inconceivably stupid part of this review: I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for almost 25 years, most of those in NYC. I work down the street, on my feet, in hospitality, for 9-11 hours at a time. Tonight I was lucky enough to get out a little early. I walked by Ray’s and there were seats at the bar. I sat at the bar. I got something to eat and drink. I was having a nice time. At 9:35 I was told I needed to give my seat up because the establishment takes the seats out at 10:00. It wasn’t 10. It was 25 minutes before that. This wasn’t a question. It was a command. I, a paying customer, who was enjoying their time sitting down because they work on their feet for huge amounts of time in the SAME INDUSTRY, was told I had to stand up and give up the seat I was sitting in. This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard of as a guest in the hospitality industry in NYC. If this is what you want as a business, DON’T PUT SEATS AT THE BAR or figure out how to finesse this. I still tipped the bartender 30% because it’s not his choice and he is trying to earn a living despite the inappropriate and stupid choices of ownership and management. I work 300 feet from Ray’s. I could be a consistent guest. But I will assuredly not ever go there again. And you can think to yourself, “Not a problem, we’re in NYC. The people will just keep coming.”. And some people will. But I doubt that I’m the first person who has taken this poorly. FIGURE OUT A DIFFERENT WAY TO DO THIS. Off the top of my head I can think of a way RIGHT NOW to pull this off. Do better
Okay so the place is very cute and the staff is nice and friendly but the food is horrible my boyfriend got food poisoning the same night, we got the chicken sandwich, burger and onion rings. The chicken sandwich was bitter, the meat tasted off, the burger was gross and the onion rings weren’t cooked all the way the batter was still raw inside. I know it’s a bar and not a restaurant but I’ve eaten at bars before and food poisoning was never a problem. I also asked for Hendrick’s for my martini and got house gin.
Good drinks. Ok. Atmosphere. But no soap in the bathrooms. Beware of the servers and food, no one here is washing their hands with soap.
A cramped and overly hot dive bar with limited drink options--definitely not my scene. The atmosphere felt more suffocating than fun, and the cocktail and beer selection was underwhelming.

A cramped and overly hot dive bar with limited drink options--definitely not my scene. The atmosphere felt more suffocating than fun, and the cocktail and beer selection was underwhelming. There was a random pool table in the middle of the bar which took up a lot of space. Wouldn't recommend... not the vibe!
I bought a drink and charged double. Checked my bank today and saw that your bartender stole for me. Please contact me I need my money back. Coz if I come all the way to BK to get my money back, yall have to pay for my uber too and I will def make sure that you do. I have screenshots of what I bought and how much it was. I want my money back. Call me or send me a number.
We had a perfectly lovely experience inside the bar. But then the bouncer hit on my friend while we waited for an Uber to take us home because we realized she had hit the too drunk to stay out threshold. When I went back inside to get something, he took her around the corner to try and kiss her and even explained to me that he did this to avoid cameras so he wouldn't get in trouble. This demonstrates his awareness that what he was doing was wrong and his willingness to do it anyway. Please hire someone who understands professionalism, boundaries, and consent. A bar cannot be a safe space if the person responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons behaves as a predator.
