Sachi receives high praise for its delicious Fusion cuisine, especially the Laksa soup and General Tso's chicken. The ambiance is unique and the staff is friendly, with Beyon the bartender being a standout. Some find the service inconsistent and prices high.

Singapore Laksa lunch special is phenomenal and Chandra the waiter was kind enough to recommend it to me! He and the host along with the server assistant are all fantastic!
What a fantastic find !!! Great food, above the top service and extensive menu. The portions were incredibly big and all food was fresh and presented nice Definite repeat Gocecrg a try
Update: still ordering and it's still good definitely recommend. The food was absolutely delicious and always is. There Japanese whiskey and ninhonshu sake selection is off the charts good. They have some good hard to find whiskies from suntory typically. The fish melts in your mouth and they have great hot foods as well. That all being said the interactions with the staff were very strange. The hostess wanted to limit our eating time when we walked in. Such a weird restriction. The waiter was hesitant to give an expensive whiskey to me because of the price. Food came out in really what seemed to be an ad hoc manner with no coordination. All in all though it makes for a good experience if you can afford to splurge a little. The ambience is great too with sun flood the space during the day through a skylight.
Really good food and gigantic portions, so great value. There was a mistake with my delivery order and they went so far above and beyond to make it right, I was blown away. Especially under the current circumstances restaurants are dealing with, this is definitely a business worth patronizing.
Delicious octopus appetizer to share, loved the duck buns and we also ordered the spicy tuna pancake (which is cold, because of the fish). Our friend ordered the general Tso meatball, which was spicy and chock full of vegetables. Excellent excellent presentation. Recommended.
Love this place! Food was excellent and service was really amazing. This place is very very cozy to bring friends and clients to and we won't get rushed into leaving anytime soon.
In the otherwise desolate Murray Hill area, Sachi is quite the gem of a place. It's a modern, trendy Asian bistro that covers a number of cuisines on its extensive menu, perfect for the times you and your fellow group of diners are feeling indecisive and need a place that will suit a number of tastes and dietary preferences. I came with two friends after work, and we were quickly greeted and seated. Our server was very helpful in going over the dishes and making recommendations, so we ordered a number of options to try. I really enjoyed the Miso Octopus - it was super tender, and the miso sauce added a lovely flavor. We also enjoyed the unique presentation of the Guacamole and Tuna, and their Crispy Eel Roll. If you're in a sashimi or nigiri mood, you can also order individual pieces from the menu, and the pieces we tried were all gorgeously presented and tasted very fresh. They also have an extensive noodle section on the menu, and I'd recommend the Seafood Laksa for those looking for a spicier bowl. We also tried the Seared Duck, which was cooked to a perfect pink and paired well with wild rice. Overall would definitely recommend and look forward to coming back!
The only thing I regret is not coming with more people to try more stuff!! EVERYTHING was good! Dumplings, the crunchy fresh eel sushi, th OMG yuca fries... And the best ramen I have ever had! And the atmosphere is great! (So is the sake!) And the presentation... And the service... I cannot wait to come back!
Had an amazing time here with my family for my brother's birthday. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The music sets a great atmosphere. Totally recommend.
Our favorite restaurant in New York! It‘s our third day here and we went every day for dinner here. Food is very nice, personnel is very friendly and prices are reasonable. I can only recommend.
Amazing sushi, and great house-made dim sum and dumplings. Plan on coming back to try the rest of the menu. Love the design, pretty environment/ ambiance for a date night, night out or to watch the game.
It’s my local Asian fusion restaurant ! I love the freshness of everything and friendly staff !
The prices are very reasonable, maybe even good for Manhattan. The food is excellent with a distinct flavor that is definitely asia fusion. The staff was pleasant and non intrusive.
Covid cautious, temp check at the door, good distance between tables. Great food. Definitely climbed up on my top asian restaurants list with the given circumstances.
The food was really good. I really enjoyed the chicken meatballs and the pink lady roll that I ordered. I will definitely be back. also the creme Brule is to die for.
My boyfriend and I LOVE sachi!! Such a great find in the neighborhood and a frequent date night for us. The staff is so kind and the atmosphere is casual yet cool. We’ve tried probably half of the menu at this point and you can go wrong with anything!
The service was as outstanding as the food. I'm here visiting from Los Angeles and ate dinner here on my first night. It was amazing. Will definitely hit it up one more time before I leave. A must try. Special shout out to our server TeTe.
We stumbled upon this hidden gem about a year ago and have been consistently delighted with the incredible flavors they offer. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality of fish and the excellent service make it worth every penny. The charming outdoor seating area, despite some street noise, adds to the overall ambiance. We highly recommend trying their Chirashi, a delightful assortment of fresh fish over rice, as well as their mouthwatering chicken karaage, perfectly fried and marinated. If you're seeking a culinary experience that combines exceptional flavors with attentive service, this place is a must-visit.
Great service here. Extremely kind staff who are attentive and were generous in helping when we needed it. Will be back again to dine again.
Highly highly recommend - the food was great efficient service, attentive waiters and waitresses and amazing value. I recommend the Pad Thai with tofu and the crab shumai and the crispy Flounder bento box - absolutely so so yummy - you can’t go wrong.
My daughter and I stumbled upon this place today while looking for a place to eat. The wait wasn’t long at all and both the drinks and the food itself came very fast. The food is really good and my picky eater loved it as well. I’m planning on coming back.
We enjoyed the food, the drinks, the ambiance, and the service. Soup dumplings were delicious, and we were also very happy with the Peking duck spring rolls and the honey glazed walnut chicken. The Tokyo Royale and Galangal Sour cocktails we're unusually and tasty as well. A very satisfying meal.
Went here for dinner yesterday. I ordered the steamed pork dumplings with the Pad Thai. Everything was delicious (especially the dumplings). The service was great, as well as the ambiance.
Nice atmosphere and design. There were 8 of us and we were sat in front of the waterfall. Food was good. They have a good mix of different Asian cuisines. I had the grilled king prawn entree. Warning, it was very spicy. Luckily I enjoy spicy food!
Amazing fusion-something for everyone. Excellent staff as well-we were a large party with some delayed due to flights. Very accommodating and professional. We had a great time and will be back for sure!
Still open during winter storm. Respect.
We went to this place last week when we were in new York. I loved this place. The ambiance was great. The service was great. The staff were so nice and helpful. We ordered miso soup, Shrimp fried rice, singapore soup, and shrimp dumplings. The miso soup was okay. The fried rice my husband ordered was great. It wasn't too dry. It was great. My soup tasted even better. It had so much flavor and it had tofu, pork, shrimps, noodles, and half a boiled egg. It tasted so good. It was a little spicy but wasn't too bad. The shrimp dumplings were awesome. Overall I really liked this place and would recommend to anyone.
Fantastic dinner. We had a party of 9 and essentially told the waitress to make it work and everything she brought us was really, really good. Basically exactly the right amount of food. Sake was good too. Would absolutely return.
I've never had anything like this! The food were unique yet delicious. I had the Oink Oink Oink Fried Rice, Spicy Singapore Laksa Noodle Soup, and the General Tso Chicken Meatball which were my favorite dishes of all the other dishes I ate. The atmosphere and service were great and I'd definitely come back for more, especially for those dishes!
This is quite a hot spot for lunch on Wednesday! Found it somewhat by accident as the restaurant I was looking for was closed for an unknown reason. Ordered the Pork Belly Ramen which I found to be very nicely prepared and delivered rather quickly even while the whole place was packed with happy patron! The ramen noodles were cooked right and the broth was not overly salty, at least to my taste buds. I’ll be back next time in the area!
Went here on a Friday night, we had a reservation for 7 and they sat us down immediately. I’m a cocktail girly, and they were soooo yummy, I really loved the kumquat mojito! For apps we shared a salmon sushi platter which tasted so fresh (I’m always a little suspicious about sushi in the city but this place has turned those fears around!) and then as an entree shared the oink oink fried rice; the Chinese sausage was sweet which added a nice contrast to the saltiness of the rice, and the flavor wasn’t at all too spicy or overwhelming. It was a lot and even with 4 of us eating at it we were unable to finish it. Overall I would def come back here again and try new dishes!
We just walked into this restaurant because all the places with outdoor seating were PACKED. We weren't expecting much so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Tuna tartar with guacamole was the best thing we had. The combination sounds strange but the flavors go really well together. There peppercorn steak was also very well made. The massaman Curry was also DELICIOUS!
This was a hidden little gem in midtown Manhattan that I happen to stumble upon for a get together with my best friend and daughter set up a reservation showed up was seated they had excellent atmosphere the service was really great The Dan Dan duck ramen was amazing it was flavorful the duck was cooked well everything was great
The seating was nice and the food was pretty delicious. First off, the kani salad was amazing. I personally love kani salad, so I may be biased here, but it was really good that I couldn't stop eating it. I also had the tom yam soup. I personally don't like sour soups but this was pretty good, aside from the cilantro in it, as I don't like cilantro. Then came the good parts. The curry laksa was so good, like I had to get not even seconds, but fourths and fifths in my bowl. I liked the strong curry flavor that melted in my mouth when I bit into the tofu. I also had the black fried rice. I was astonished because I've never seen black rice cooked that way. Plus it was really good. I recommend it a lot. It tastes just like regular rice! I personally loved the curry laksa and black fried rice, so I would highly recommend that when you come here.
I love this place because it is very close to my office as well as the UN. The food is lovely and the place is nicely decorated. Tons of choices for Asian fusion food and my favorites are Singaporian laksa, dan dan duck ramen, sushi & sasimi, mushroom spring rolls, dumplings and more.. Various drinks, alcohol or without alcohol, are also availaible. They also have bento and lunch packages for very managable price.
A high end feel with a budget friendly and extensive menu. I’ve walked by this place a dozen times but finally took a chance today as I wanted something healthy (with very little healthy options in the area). Gentlemen waiter was super kind and professional and I was greeted by a nice and pretty hostess who brought me to my table. I ordered a jasmine tea gin & tonic which was fantastic! I went a little Japanese with some sushi and edemame and they were both super fresh. Not the best sushi I’ve ever had but a pretty close second and very fresh. Dumplings were on point and delicious! One thing that really impressed me was that my orders came out well-paced and not all at once like many other restaurants annoyingly do. I hope to try more of their Thai specialties next time from their super extensive menu. Atmosphere is nice and feels upscale, especially the bar area. Kept thinking how this place is in the wrong neighborhood. It’s kind of weird around there and I kept thinking how great this place would do on the upper east side with a bunch of more high end restaurants. Well, glad I found an oasis in the middle of nowhere. I will definitely be back.
We ordered the sushi and sashimi for 2. It was perfect for us! Delicious and flavorful. What stood out to me was the drinks. As a tourist I’ve found that at most places the cocktails are small and not particularly strong while costing a lot, so it isn’t usually worth it. But NOT here. Strong pour, great taste. On a Friday night at 9ish we were immediately seated. Attentive service.
Thoroughly enjoyed Sachi! I had the Bento Box Rock Shrimp tempura. Sooo goood!! Service was excellent. Perfect place for lunch with a client. Highly recommend!
Such a gem in Murray Hill. Their happy hour menu is one of the best in the area — great value, solid portions, and everything actually tastes good (which isn’t always a given in this neighborhood). But the real standout? The lychee martini. Hands down the best in town. Perfectly balanced — not too sweet, super smooth — and made to perfection by Tang, the bartender. She’s amazing: attentive, friendly, and clearly knows her craft. You can tell when someone actually cares about what they’re serving, and it shows in every drink. If you’re looking for a spot with great vibes, strong cocktails, and a happy hour worth going out for, Sachi is it. I’ll absolutely be back — mostly for Tang’s lychee martini
Ate here yesterday at the bar during the lunchtime rush. Was very impressed by how the bartender kept it all together while being friendly and outgoing at the same time. The green curry was delicious as was the house salad that accompanied it. Prices for lunch are very on point :) will definitely be back!
Came here at 6pm on a Wednesday, and the restaurant was not packed at all. We were seated very quickly and were given this giant 6 person booth, even though there was only two of us. Props. The place is very well kept and clean. Waiters were very attentive. One person got the chili wings from the app menu, and I got the pineapple rice. There were 6 pieces of wings, which is not bad. But I was surprised with the amount of food that came with the pineapple rice dish. It looks like a little, but it's not. There's a good amount of spice and the right amount of sweet. In all, a very enjoyable dish. They also sell very good sushi. Would go back.
Great spot. Tom Yom soup was amazing. The general tso's chicken was not so great. It was a bit too tangy instead of spicy.
It is very well decorated and designed, kind of surprises you later when you see the prices (they're pretty decent!). The food is very well presented & cooked. Been here 2/3 times and everytime I try something different and I enjoy it.
I had some sushi and Singapore Shrimp Laksa. They were pretty good. Their specialty cocktails were pretty interesting, too. The atmosphere was kind of dark but the service was good.
A nice place for lunch. The food was good, the place was quiet and no one rushed us to finish and leave.
Ordered pan fried dumplings and yuzu margarita. The person we purchased dumplings for enjoyed. The margarita was ok.
This is a great spot for lunch. We visited twice on back to back weekends while taking a break from a parenting class nearby at NYU. The first time we got a lot of the dim sum items and the second time we went to for the ramen. All of it was delicious and they got it out to us fast so we could get back to class. If I lived near by I would go back often. Check it out!
Really nice ambiance and food is good. While it appears a bit upscale the menu prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is fairly casual and I've walked in without a reservation, though I have seen it very busy at times.
Food and atmosphere was great. The service was very slow for the amount of people eating, but I would still recommend.
Great sushi but took a little long to come out. I guess that sacrifice for quality. Good variety and good combo options. Picture is the Out of Control roll and spicy crunchy salmon roll. No need for a reservation for lunch. Gratuity is automatically added with parties larger than 5. Music could use some improvement lol.
It was a Friday but just a hair loud to me. Overall nice place with excellent service. I got a sushi roll and miso. I didn’t love the miso as I thought it was thick but I don’t visit NYC often nor been to Japan so what do I know. Sushi roll was good, though the crunch was a bit stale. Still would go back!
I made a reservation two days in advance for a birthday celebration and got placed in the best table of the restaurant. Decoration and ambiance is really cool. I recommend the glazed walnut chicken, the fried chicken appetizer and the pork soup dumpling. The sushi we ordered was basic avocado and salmon or tuna, which was ok. The pork bun was also ok. This is a great place if you want variety like Thai, Cantonese or Japanese. The service is excellent. The prices are great.
3.8/5 We tried their prix fixe lunch for $25 that came with a starter, main, and a drink. We ordered the Laksa and Thai Basil Fried Rice. The Laksa noodles were fresh ramen noodles, which was new, but good nonetheless. The Fried Rice had a rustic taste to it. Both dishes were tasty and the shrimp they used was large and juicy. Good meal overall. 1 star less as the salad they served was terrible. It was old salad greens that were wilted and discolored with barely any toppings. We were glad our meal was much better than the appetizer!
Came hear for a group birthday dinner and had a great time. Good service, great portion size, and good variety of food. My girlfriend and I got the grilled miso octupus and seared duck breast and sushi rolls. Everything was cooked well and delicious. Some people got the fried rice which was kinda disappointing with the lack of veggies but that was out only complaint.
The food here tastes really great but the portions are small and the food is expensive. That said, the ambiance and decor are really great and I appreciated how friendly our server was.
Sushi was mediocre and general tso was super fried and barely any chicken (all fried). Offered more Diet Coke to my friend and then charged us for each. Hibachi was average as well.
Went to Sachi last night with my husband because of all the great reviews I saw it here. But honestly the food is fine, not the best, but you can eat. Pad Thai was okay, nothing special, very expensive, the chicken did not tasty and looked like chicken so I was a little scared to eat. My husband got the fried rice and he said it was fine. The place is nice and service was good. I’ll probably give a second chance and go for lunch to see if anything changes.
The staff was very friendly but we were surrounded by nats. We asked about it and they said it was because the doors were open but didn't seem troubled by it. They got on our food and into our drink. There were so many we just couldn't focus eating and decided to just call it a night.
I wouldnt recommend the food at all. I ordered the hibachi steak and it was so extremely chewy and rubbery. They were kind enough to give it to me again after I complained however it was the same as before. I dont have any complaints regarding the service just the food was absolutely not upto quality at all. Like ktown is 5/6 blocks away and honestly can get way better food there. Paid $80 for two people and left over 70% at the table because nothing was good.
As a semi-regular at Sachi, I have NEVER been treated with the rudeness and disdain as I was on my most recent visit, whilst accompanied by a lady friend. The bartender was rude and condescending and then, when we left no tip - as is our right under the circumstances - he actually chased us into the street, yelling at us for having not left a tip. My friend and I shall certainly NOT patronize the establishment in the near future!
I ate lunch here with a client on July 29. The place was crowded and noisy. When we finished our meal, one of the waitstaff accidentally dumped a bottle of soy sauce down my back. It stained my white dress shirt, white undershirt, and wool dress pants. The Manager was apologetic and offered to pay my dry cleaning bill. I sent them the bill. The Manager, Shac McFarlane, told me he would pay the bill. But after five requests, not only has it not been paid, but he refuses to call or email me back!
Ordered on the phone, upon arrival was greeted with “I hope you have cash” I told her she did not inform me of this policy (small order) and all she did was shrug. I live around the corner, I guess this won’t be my sushi spot.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants but the service has gone downhill. I waited an hour and a half for three sushi rolls and the waiter did not inform me that there was large takeout order being prioritized until after I had waited for over an hour.
Somebody heard of flavor in this restaurant? Literally no flavor in the food Beef rice noodles tasted like paper. Place was clean and everything and service was nice. Still food was very plain and tastless.
We booked the restaurant and the hostess was kind enough to give us the table before time as we arrived early but we were disappointed while ordering as what we saw on the Google it clearly said serves vegetarian but the server was very upfront to not suggest or accommodate any request . They put oyster and fish sauce in most of the dishes which are not vegetarian and they should not write serves vegetarian which misguided us and we wasted our time to reach there and then leave immediately. They barely have any veg choices so it’s a big NO NO for vegetarian people .
I’m sorry to even be giving this establishment a 1 rating because the food was amazing, our waiter was great and it was such a nice ambiance. However, the tiny flies landing in the soy sauce and in the food, as well as flying around you is not cool at all. We kept having to swat the flies, such a turn off. If they can fix this issue, a complete 5 start rating they will receive from me.
I (along with my boyfriend) have been eating here for years now. But last night, I don't know if the chef called out or they changed the chef, but the food was just terrible. Our server was very nice and patient but the food was just not edible. I went there and took my whole family for my little sister's birthday but man, I was disappointed to see everyone's plates untouched. And I never do this but even asked the server if he could take at least the 2 entrees that remained untouched off the bill cause the fried rice was mushy and sweet and the green curry almost made my sister throw up. Sad! Cause this used to be our go to place. Hope they get back to their glory days.
We ordered a dish and it was not what we expected because it wasn’t communicated well, told the server we didn’t like it and didn’t want it. The server says that she still has to bill us because their manager charges them for the food customers don’t buy and eat! I’m not sure if that’s legal, I asked to speak with her manager & the bartender came to speak with us and also told us that they will have to charge us or the server for the food! I didn’t want the waitress to get charged so I paid for food I didn’t even eat! This is a horrible way to treat staff, especially with the language barrier, miscommunication can occur. I’m so upset by this!
Went to have dinner tonight. We ordered a sushi sashimi platter that came with a roll. The sushi was pretty tasty however the spicy tuna roll had a funky taste and smell. I knew it was a little off on freshness so I asked the waiter Andy if they can switch it for something else since it didn’t taste the freshest. He started to argue with me that all their fish is fresh and that there’s no way it’s not fresh he rolled his eyes and asked me to put the sushi in another plate to take back to the kitchen. He asked if we wanted them to make a new one. I said if it’s the spicy tuna it will be the same so I asked if they can make a regular tuna roll. Maybe he thought I was trying to get more free sushi and would eat it lol He came back to say they would give me another tuna roll. Since he was so upset about it I said it don’t worry about it but he still brought it and continues to defend his case. I have never had a restaurant make me feel more uncomfortable about not wanting to eat raw fish that could potentially make me sick. I asked for the manager and they said there isn’t one tonight. Never coming back here.
Not sure why we were sent to sit at the counter while the restaurant had plenty of seats. This happened twice in a row.
We also have been eating here for a while since i lived right across, and always ordered. When we dined in we saw a RAT next to the bar. I was shocked and when addressed it to server, she was very rude. Also after my husband saw rat (hopefully its the same one) unfortunately we couldnt eat our food, we had to leave. But whole staff were not friendly or apologetic at all. They acted as never happened. I feel terrible of how many times we ordered, and staff were rude and very difficult. But ignoring all that we used to still go there, but after seeing bad sanitary , never again. I also don't recommend anyone, never know when host is in the mood or you will rat in your plate.
I am amazed at how awful this restaurant truly is. The food was awful - so bad that we regretted being there. We ordered the honey walnut chicken, dumplings, and fried rice. And not one thing tasted like anything. They charged us for hot oil which did not taste like anything. The walnuts were burnt. And the service was just really bad. I deeply regret going and I would caution anyone else from going here. Be aware - this restaurant is not worth your time or money. It is best to avoid
My first time here we sat down at a table and ordered takeout. While we waited for our food everyone was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the steak hibachi for take out and literally just took it across the street where we were staying at a hotel. My grandmother ordered her steak to be cooked medium. It came out well done. When we call the restaurant to tell them that our steak has been severely overcooked, the manager told me that it likely continued to cook while in the takeout container. I told her I literally walked across the street and started to eat. I did not appreciate her, trying to dismiss what happened instead of taking accountability. The bottom line is the chef overcooked the meat. It did not continue to cook in the container as she suggested. She told me that she would remake it that night, but I told her I didn’t wanna come out because I had already taken my clothes off and gotten comfortable. I asked instead Could she have it ready for me tomorrow and she said no today is the only day she could replace it, which I thought was very inconsiderate, considering we spent almost $40 for a meal that was not properly cooked. I asked if I could get a refund instead because I did not want to come back out and she said no. So now I am out of my room, back in my clothes and walking back to the restaurant. I was just very surprised at the treatment. Very disappointed!
Located near 2nd ave. We went in yesterday because we just moved into the area and this was nearby our new place. The service, right off the bat felt cold and supercillious. Despite having an elderly person with us, the waitress made us sit at a high top table, which was difficult for our dad to access. They told us that their staff were sleeping in our available booths. We understood their situation and obliged even though it was inconvenient for us. Even though we were polite and understanding, they were abrupt and seemed to be in a hurry while taking our orders. The food was less than average. The chicken was a bit high in sodium and pretty bland otherwise. The dumplings were nothing to write home about. The black rice in the fried rice felt undercooked and chewy, we still didn't complain. We had two different waiters take serve our table and both with the same air of impatience. The restaurant was not busy so their attitude puzzled us. Will definitely not be visiting again. The atmosphere reeked of fish, which was unpleasant for a person in our party who didn't eat fish
