Opiniones de Vin Sur Vingt Albee Square
Been there on a Saturday evening without reservation, we were lucky to get a small table for three. Shared a delicious red wine and a charcuterie board. Very friendly&competent staff with great knowledge of the wines they offer. Loved the ambience of this French wine bar
It’s a bar where you can truly relax and chill. They have a great selection of quality wines and drinks, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The music isn’t loud, making it perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying a date night with your partner. The bartenders are polite and provide excellent service. This is another place I highly recommend, and I will definitely be back again.
VSV wine bar was one of the highlights of our NYC trip. We were looking forward to trying at least one wine bar, and I think we made the right choice. Comfortable and semi casual ambience, very friendly and professional waiter, the onion soup (loved it!), and of course, impressive wines. We had great conversations, felt lucky to be in the city during the holiday season, and VSV and its staff made our trip special. I was tempted to order a third glass but had to consider our busy schedule the next day. It looks like they have a few locations, and I definitely recommend the NOMAD location!
I have a great time every time i come here manager and bar tender with long hair are always so welcoming and remember me. Wine is fantastic and food is amazing!!!
We just celebrated our work holiday party and the staff was SO beyond wonderful! I have been a few times for happy hour and have always been served by such helpful wonderful people but to really nail it with a big group like ours was just so impressive - so standout! Of course their wine selection is great, but the food is fantastic! We had all kinds of things and the hits include the pizza with mushroom, the salmon and the chicken and the sides made for such a lovely comfort meal (mash potatoes, Mac and cheese, cous cous, green beans - all great!)! Highly recommend hosting your next event here or just popping in for HH or date night.
The perfect place for a glass or two of wine. Our waiter was the most friendly man with wonderful recommendations. We will definitely stop by again before we leave nyc!
Great service at the bar from John! He gave us a good recommendation on wine and made sure we were able to get out on time for an event. The ambience at this place is cool
Came to the city to have a nice night, Walked in was greeted & seated by my server Maleny! Super nice & helpful with picking the right wine for me. 100% recommend coming here with friends & family.
Found this charming French wine bar in NoMad and stopped by to have a glass of Chablis, which was very good - crisp, perfectly chilled, and reasonably priced for Manhattan. We also had the escargot. It was served in the delicious garlic-herb butter, with their fresh baguette. Perfect spot for a quiet evening or intimate conversation. No pretension, just authentic French atmosphere in the heart of the city. Will definitely be back.
Such a wonderful experience if you’re looking for a taste of authentic France. The Tarte Flambé has to be the BEST ones I’ve had yet and I’ve tasted two Michelin stars worth. The service is superb and in my opinion absolutely worth it. Sitting alone or dining in you won’t be disappointed. Super laid back yet absolutely fancy. My best of both worlds ! Thank you.
Cute little wine bar and restaurant. They have an outdoor area that during summer must be lovely. Inside, the layout is cozy with multiple tables in two rows. Tables are small so not sure how this works for larger groups. Food was DELICIOUS! You have to try the Steak Sandwich. And they have a pretty decent list of wines that you can pick from. Ask for recommendations, they can guide you!
Came here with a friend and got a glass of wine each and the cheese tasting board. The wine selection was not as big as I expected but it was good regardless. The cheese board had a decent selection however for the price, I thought the quantity was a bit small, especially for the sides like the fig jam. Overall decent place for wine, but pretty expensive given other places in NYC.
Their wine selection was not as extensive as I would've liked, especially if you're only ordering a glass and not the bottle. We stopped by for drinks only after dinner. I was looking for a dessert wine, but they carry no sweet wines at all. I got a wine that was fine, but nothing to rave about. If you don't go during happy hour, the prices are a little high, but the glasses are big and the pour is heavy, so it's ok. The location is great and they have lots of outdoor seating. We sat at the bar and had great service.
Great selection of wine, extremely knowledgeable and helpful bartender. Smells the wine when opening. We ordered a glass of pinot and he didn’t like the smell and opened a new bottle instead of serving the open one and then poured a glass from the old bottle so we could smell the difference. Food selection also good. Cheese and meat platter was very good, only downside was the bread, it was not the best. Steak tartar was delicious, nice size serving and full of flavor.
I went to this place with a friend specifically for Beaujolais Nouveau, as it was advertised as a French bar celebrating this special wine. My friend arrived first and asked the waitress if they had Beaujolais Nouveau during happy hour. Instead of clarifying or offering a taste, the waitress simply brought her a glass without confirmation. When I arrived 10 minutes later, I asked about bottles, and this time, we received proper service with the bottle opened and tasted at the table. When I asked for food recommendations, the waitress suggested something but stopped at charcuterie and cheese boards, which we ordered from the regular menu. However, later on, we noticed a poster on the wall advertising special offers for Beaujolais Day. When I asked her about it, she said she “didn’t know” because “the owner put it up”, “I can’t change it now, you already ordered” - nobody asked her to change anything. There was no apology, just excuses. Another waitress chimed in, claiming it was a “miscommunication” and that they hadn’t been informed. It was only after I expressed how unacceptable this was that one of them reluctantly apologized - but only after being prompted. Both of us had asked about Beaujolais Day from the start, yet none of the staff mentioned the specials or seemed remotely informed about the event they were supposed to be hosting. If this bar is trying to channel the vibe of a French establishment, the awful service might fit the stereotype, but it’s definitely not the kind of authenticity worth holding onto.
Honestly this place felt like a bad episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The cream chicken tasted like it came straight out of a microwave with that plastic cardboard vibe you cannot ignore. The fondue was cold and had a weird bubble gum texture that made me question reality. The chicken liver tasted straight from a can like something you open during a blackout. Even the bread was offensive which is impressive in the worst way possible. The wine was fine but that was the only survivor of this experience. I wanted to give zero stars but here we are. If I were lost in the desert and stumbled upon this restaurant, I still would not go inside. That said, the servers had great energy and were genuinely pleasant.
The waiter with the long hair was the worst waiter in all of New York. We were having wine with him yesterday, and he was incredibly rude. He tried to take advantage of us by selecting his own tip and taking the card himself to charge whatever amount he felt like. A very bad experience as a tourist.
