Great lunch at this beach front restaurant. The seared tuna tataki with rice noodles was divine. Great service and wonderful location on the boardwalk with amazing views of the beach. Highly recommended.

The rooftop bar was amazing, the wind was really blowing but they had lovely cosy blankets. The food was delicious along with the great service. Restaurant is right at the beach. Access by a lovely boardwalk. Great parking also.

Great food drinks and service. Busy lunch and dinner spot which we hit twice on our trip. Staff are super amenable and switched in and the food is on point. Definitely recommend. Both times we went in the place looked empty and with in an hour every table was taken..booking is a good idea!

Wow - what can I say?! The Bold Octopus have been absolutely INCREDIBLE from the moment we first reached out to them asking if we could host our wedding there to the moment the wedding was over and beyond! Anne, Marcus and Nigel and the whole events team and staff made the planning process and event itself so seamless and enjoyable. They were so responsive to our requests and allowed us to do multiple site visits with our wedding planner Taelored Events Algarve. We had a food / wine tasting session and made to feel so welcome during it! We wanted some amendments to the food choice for our guests and the Bold Octopus were so accommodating and provided us with the selection we wanted. I have no idea how they prepared so much high quality food on our wedding day to the standard they did, all our guests commented how amazing it was from the canapes to the main course to the pudding. They also have an extensive cocktail range - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options which our guests absolutely loved! The staff on the day were beyond amazing - we never had an empty glass and the food service was so quick and efficient. There were also no queues at the bars because the events team did such a good job at putting on a large number of staff and ensuring everything went smoothly. I honestly couldn't recommend this restaurant more. Not only was it the most perfect venue for our wedding but we love it as a lunch / dinner / rooftop sundown drinks. The food is amazing, the drinks are amazing and there is a really fun music vibe in the most stunning setting! We cannot wait to come back every year to celebrate our anniversary and for holidays! Thank you SO much for helping us have our wedding of dreams and making our guests so happy!

Really lovely restaurant located out in the nature reserve and adjacent the beach. Views from the table are amazing and the restaurant is very light and bright. The waiter's and waitresses are really freindly and give you a warm welcome. There is a wide selection of fish and meat based dishes with a good selection of wines and other drinks. Really lovely restaurant and great food so would definitely recommend a vist.

A huge thank you to The Bold Octopus who hosted a bbq for our friends and family the day after our wedding. It was incredible the food, the service and above all the friendliness of the team. Nigel you and the team are doing an incredible job and we can’t thank you enough for helping us throw a wonderful event!

The bold octopus in Ria Formosa in Quinta Do Logo. The food is out of this world, such excellent culinary skills by the chef. The moules de cream was just outstanding with white wine cream sauce was like butter melting at every mouthful, shallots garlic and spring onion garnish, mussels where super soft and tasty. The chicken burger what can I say, it has to be the best chicken burger I have ever tasted, recommended by Josh the waiter. Mouthwatering beauty in very bite. The starters where just as good the main course. We had to visit again for luck and sun set cocktails, ended up having food there again. Wishing the Bold Octopus continued success and definitely be visiting this place again very soon, if you are around this area must must visit.

Pleasantly surprised for this type of establishment, which can easily overlook patrons given the name/crowds it attracts. - they easily made a spot for a solo eater - food was good quality, good portion size and servers were honest about quantity to order - good value for the quality - friendly and staff pays attention - they could do with a better coffee machine (although on par with coffee in general in Portugal, but they could invest in a Marzocco machine for premium coffee). - beautiful location, nice views. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic night at the Bold Octopus last evening! The sunset setting was absolutely stunning, and the rooftop bar with the DJ created an upbeat and fun vibe all night long. The table service was super attentive, and the food and wine were first class – not a single plate left unclean, we were totally satisfied! Huge shout out to the team for doing such a great job – truly the best night and experience ever. Well done! 👍

Highly recommend booking this place in advance as it gets booked out super quickly. This restaurant has lovely atmosphere and the view of the beach and the sunsets are incredibly romantic and simply gorgeous. The service was very attentive with staff often anticipating my needs. The sea food was absolutely incredible and the octopus too. The dessert was fantastic although I would have preferred for the transitional crème brûlée to be offered instead of the espresso one.

Genial! Fabulos! Nota 10 cu felicitari!! Ne-am luat Uber de la hotel, care a costat 9€ pentru 5 km. Rezervarea facuta telefonic cu 1 zi inainte; a functionat perfect. Am fost condusi la masă cu amabilitate, iar comanda ne-a fost luata in scurt timp. Ne-am comandat: -caracatita cu legume -creveti black tiger n sos de vin cu orez tip paella -salata asortată (rosii, verdețuri, ceapa rosie fâșii, ulei etc). Pentru vin ne-a oferit sa degustam 2 sortimente. Nici unul nu a excelat, insa am ales unul din cele două. (Dezamagire la vinuri) Ambele mancaruri au fost absolut delicioase. Ne-am rasfățat simtul gustativ: “curcubeu pe cerul gurii”. Foarte aromate, gustoase, bine preparate si asortate. Portiile sunt corecte si echilibrate (nici uriașe, nici insuficiente). Desertul (creme brule & apple pie) ne-a cucerit definitiv si ne-a demonstrat maxima calitate a bucatariei acestui restaurant! Vesela, tacamurile, paharele, șervetele: sclipitor de curate. Localul are o forfotă specifică turistilor vorbăreți si efervescenti. Ne-am simtit si noi foarte bine. La fumat am vizitat terasa exterioara, am admirat cerul plin de stele, iar podețul de lemn te duce sa vezi plaja si oceanul. O locatie demnă de bifat pe harta restaurantelor faine din zonă. Terasa de le etaj functiona pentru un eveniment privat. FABIO ne-a servit frumos cu zambetul pe buze, ne-a oferit sfaturi; un profesionist desavarsit in arta ospătăriei. Multumim si recomandam cu incredere!

We went to The Bold Octopus for a friend’s birthday and it was a great choice. The food was fresh and tasty, service was quick, and the staff were polite and professional. The atmosphere is lively with a nice rooftop to enjoy before or after dinner. They handled everything smoothly and made the evening special. Definitely recommend if you’re in Portugal.

We tried the calamari, tuna tostada and satay chicken, which were all very tasty. For mains, I had the fish tacos. This was very disappointing, it lacked much taste and was the most underwhelming fish tacos I've had in a long time - avoid. My wife had the Korean pork chop, which wax absolutely delicious. I had such food envy. My parents had fresh fish, which was okay, but a little dry. The coffee creme brulee was excellent. I would definitely come back, but there's definitely some things to avoid, like the fish taco. Our server was friendly and attentive too.

C’était très bon et dans un cadre superbe. Nous avons déjeuner dans cet endroit, tout était top. Les prix sont un peu chers mais semblent adaptés au cadre.

The restaurant has a fantastic view and nice wines. The food was fresh although the portions were very small for the price. The seafood selection was also very limited. We could not have any dessert other than sorbet as it was the only gluten free option. The restaurant can be really noisy with a bigger group of people next to us.

Super locatie... helaas waren we er toen het al donker was.... waardoor je geen uitzicht had, maar er naartoe lopen in het donker was heel mooi over de steiger en dat je dan de lampjes ziet. Eten was ook erg lekker. Gingen voor de tuna tostada en voor de mosselen en uiteraard de octopus. Service was top ze schonken netjes de wijn glazen bij. Aanrader om hier een keer te eten. Mochten we ooit weer in de buurt zijn dan gaan we hier zeker weer heen maar dan met daglicht.

Der Service war sehr gut, allerdings war das Essen eher durchschnittlich, vor allem für diese Preise. Das Ambiente hingegen war sehr schön.

The places location in fantastic and the building and decorations are beautiful and right on point, but that’s about it. They try to be a high end place but actually the service (even though everybody is very nice and helpful) is too messy, it seems there are too many waiters walking around without a clear station, so we got asked 4 times if we wanted water, another couple of times about food… they kept interrupting cause Everytime a waiter walked by asked something. They also changed our plates 3 times, totally unnecessary and not very eco friendly… all this ho ha but I had to serve our wine all the time../ The music was quite loud and kind of unfortunate for a dinner place, it felt like I was in a terraza drinking cocktail in Ibiza,,,then the food came, we ordered the tuna tostada, it should be called the tuna bites cause that’s what it was, three canapé like bites, we thought well it’s a starter… then the tacos, very mild dish, no taste, good quality ingredients but no flavour at all, the presentation was awful,, I ordered a side of truffle fries (6€) to have with the tacos but the tacos came with fries (the waiter didn’t say anything) so we end up having double fries… the best part the sea bass risotto, very tasty and nice but the amount of rice was ridiculous it could definitely be a tapa,,, very disappointing really. The bold octopus is an over expensive restaurant made for foreign people who are used to pay this prices in their countries,,, there are plenty of better restaurants out there in the Algarve

Good food overall. I liked my fish with lime risotto. We had the calamari which was ok, similar to the shrimp app dish. Mussels needed a bit more flavor. I loved the live music on Saturday. They started playing around 2pm and made the restaurant vibe a lot livelier. I’m not sure I’d come back to food, but I would come back to the live music and drinks.

On est au Portugal il faudrait que les prix soient plus raisonnables. J'ai mangé une caesar salade vraiment médiocre. En plus j'en ai un peu marre de cette cuisine qu'on voit partout dans tous les pays ..la même. Je préférerais du local .Je précise que je voulais manger un poulpe grillé mais ils n'en avaient pas. Le resto était vide ..c'est un signe . Le resto est très beau , un peu de simplicité et d'authenticité et des prix plus raisonnables serait préférable. Je n'y retournerais pas
