Walked in for a business lunch. Cold Sandwich was well seasoned and refreshing on the hot day. Service was tentative and views of the valley were amazing. :) 🤩🤩🤩🤩

Very good pizza in a wood fire. As others have said, the view is nice. Salads are good here, too. One of the best places to eat in Galena area.

We've eaten at Highlands Restaurant many time (since the time it was named Spikes). Tonight we had an exceptional waitress, Andrea! She had just the right amount of engagement with us - didn't try to be part of our dinner conversation, but was upbeat on this VERY busy Monday Music night - a full house! Truly a great experience tonight and the food (ribs and silo salad and the best onion rings ever) was fantastic to top it all off.

Stopped in for a quick carryout. We picked up the burnt tips sandwich with sweet potato fries. The fries were hot and crisp and delicious. The burnt tip sandwich is absolutely amazing. The brand on the bun was a very unique touch. The hostess was super kind.

My mom and I visited last night and were walk-ins. They were very friendly and got us a table while we had drinks at the bar. Bob the bartender was phenomenal! Their specialty ale from Leinekugals was delicious. We had a very nice, funny waiter. My mom ordered the cod and thought it was ok, but her coleslaw was hot from sitting next to the cod. I ordered the salmon and thought it was really good! View was also spectacular. Overall I’d highly recommend!

We were in town looking for a restaurant that has ambience of a country setting with a vast menu. We were more than pleased, this place had it all. The setting overlooking the 18th hole of the renowned "The General Golf Course" was truly a beautiful sight. I highly recommend!!!

The entire building has be remodeled. New space added and things relocated. This is going to be fantastic. April 1 is the deadline and I think they will make it. I like the drive thru window for the golf carts. The views are even improved. Can't wait to eat there. For now the lodge has a great resturant just down the road. Will review that next. But if you want the golf experience of a lifetime play one of the Eagle Ridge courses they are literally carved out of the woods.

Food was very good, the place was very clean. The staff was very accommodating. We had no reservation, but was seated immediately. Table by window with a beautiful view.

We enjoyed a meal on Saturday evening. Both delicious meals, cooked to perfection. 1 meal lge Pork Chop mash and vegies and the other Atlantic Salmon and Sundried tomato risotto.

Our 1st visit to Highlands. The server was great, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. We had appetizers, sandwiches and drinks. Everything was tasty. The outdoor patio deck provides a perfect view of the golf course/countryside. The large floor to ceiling windows allow the same lovely view from inside the restaurant as well. We will definitely visit again.

After playing The General, we love to come back to Highlands for dinner. Sat on the patio overlooking the 18th. Perfect weather, views & service. We had great drinks and dinner, our server Nancy was perfect…And it was her first day!

What a great eating experience! When we 1st got there the place was already bustling. There were no tables but an amazing man named David, went right to work and found us table and seated us! The waitress was amazingly efficient, friendly, and engaging! The food was outstanding! And the view was amazing. I would go back in a heartbeat!

We went on a Sunday afternoon, very light atmosphere. We were seated in front of the large windows overlooking the golf course, it is a beautiful view. Our waiter was excellent, came back numerous times to check in, refill water, and grab any items we needed. We ordered the burnt ends and corn dip appetizer, which was absolutely delicious and a meal in itself! We ordered the Highlands Club and Burger, both were AMAZING! The fries and sweet potato fries we had on the side were fantastic. It was so much food, impossible to finish. I would recommend to others.

We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat us. Quick friendly service. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes, which was good. They have a gluten free cheese pizza for the gluten intolerant eaters. There is a TV in the dining area which seemed out of place. The TV was showing UFC fights and a hot dog eating contest.

Review is Strictly for the pizza. I had a make your own and it was sausage, mushrooms and extra pizza sauce well done. It was a delicious pizza and having a restaurant that has this pizza within the territory is a great asset.

My favorite is he Wild Mushroom brick oven pizza. My husband has enjoyed a few of the entrees. For us, this lounge is a very relaxing restaurant because the staff and patrons are so friendly. In addition to inside dining, there is also outdoor dining during the warmer months. There have some decent beers on tap as well as other bar drinks.

My friend and I had the Cavatappi and Cheese w/ chicken. Delicious, fresh, tasty comfort food. visited 10/13/24. Nice Dining area, big TVs with football on and service was very good. I gave atmosphere 3 because there were these large black bugs flying around while we were trying to eat dinner. Twice landed on the table . gross. dead bugs on windowsill, too.

We capped off a weekend golf outing for 45 people with dinner and awards at the Highlands restaurant. The service was great and my Kan Kan Pork Chop was unbelievable. Filled the plate and tasted great! Looking forward to next year, hopefully my game will improve by then!

We had a wonderful experience with Kathy as our server. She was endearing, attentive, fun, kind, professional and always positive; smiling, happy. Kathy listened to my wife and I very well, for instance she took cues from our lighthearted communication, joked with us, and made for a fun dining experience. My wife has a food allergy, and Kathy took that seriously, and made sure my wife’s meal was safe to eat. Meal service was timed well and we wanted for nothing - excellent. We needed to rush to the general store next door before they closed, and Kathy brought the check straight away. Really great experience. Thank you Kathy!

We had a wonderful lunch! Stopped in for the first time today. We arrived just after they opened, and were seated immediately. The waitress was friendly and helpful. My burger was made to order. They offer a variety of cheeses, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, .... All or just a few may be added to your taste. I also liked the option of fruit rather than fries. Sweet potato fries were another option. The meal was presented quickly, and with another smile. Another person in our party ordered their "silo salad." Its presentation is truly unique. Order it, get a smile, and enjoy the meal. The view of the Galena Territories and golf course is fantastic. By the time we were leaving, the restaurant was filling up nicely. Ample parking. Handicap friendly.

This place had an amazing view! We had good, quick service and food was pretty good. Although the food I got didn't exactly fit the description on the menu, I still enjoyed it. I would probably go back just to sit at a table by the big open window again. It was a nice spot for dinner with my SO. I would recommend this place to others.

Staff was so kind and accomidating your large party and a baby. The steak bits were yummy and worth it! Nice generous portions to share. The view is stunning.

Used to be Spike's located at The General Golf Course in Eagle Ridge Resort. We've been there twice for the pizza. A spectacular view of The General Golf Course, outdoor seating, nice selection of beer and wine, and the pizza is great! I was not a fan of Spike's, so very excited about the new menu and improved service. Looking forward to my next visit, so I can try something other than pizza.

Good food and a nice view. Went back and The service was much better. Still rate 4 stars. I had a pasta dish and my wife had the pizza which she really liked.

We visited this beautiful restaurant on December 28th. The Burgers and Fries (regular and sweet potato) were good, but the two people in our party ordering the Macaroni with Chicken reported this to be not as good as expected. Service was excellent; we will definately return.

Stopped here for lunch. Basic menu with several food options including appetizers and sandwiches. Popular with the golf crowd. Good view of the putting green and a couple of holes.

Service was excellent and the views are spectacular. The giant pretzel was delicious but I would skip the burnt ends sandwich. It was dry and overly salty.

Food was not bad. Good view, but wish we could have sat outside. And, you really cannot see much of the course from the restaurant - which is a bummer. The burnt ends sandwich has amazing barbecue sauce on it. Kept trying to find in town as made from the local Bourbon - but guess it is in house secret recipe. They should share!

Our food tasted good but could've been warmer. It was so cold in the restaurant the evening we were there.

Our party of 6 arrived about 8pm to a fairly full bar. We were seated quickly in a corner near the window so we had a lovely view. Our waitress appeared in a timely manner and took our drink orders. Once our drinks were delivered, the waitress told us there was limited food available from the kitchen...sandwiches and salads, but no entrees or pizzas. We inquired as to why and she said something to the effect that when they weren't real busy, sometimes they closed the kitchen early. While we thought this was odd (there are few restaurant options in the Eagle Ridge Resort and as previously stated, the bar seating was nearly full with people still being seated after our arrival). We ordered our food. We noticed other tables were being served pasta dishes and other hot food items, so we inquired as to how that happened. The waitress apologized and told us that she only shared with us what she had been told with regard to a limited menu. Poor business! The restaurant lost money on our table. The waitress comped us with a nice discount and we tipped her on the full bill before the discount because it wasn't her fault. The food was nothing special for club sandwiches, fries and a Philly cheese melt. There is some cleaning that needs to be done on the chairs. Around the seats, in the rungs of the chairs there was a large accumulation of crumbs and the arms were sticky. When the options are few, you go with the flow.

Have gone here twice since covid had started. The first time the female hostess was pretty rude to us since we didn't have a reservation, but sat us anyways. We returned here for a party of 6, had called before hand to see if they had a table available and they said to come on in. Again the same female hostess was there and was extremely rude to us saying she didn't talk to us and that we didn't make a reservation, then demanded I tell her who I spoke with. We we're not pushy about getting sat as we understand they were busy, but she sat us anyways. We then heard one of the fellow waitresses complaining out loud about people showing up without reservations. The food is delicious and the view is amazing, but have to say the first greeting you get by an unfriendly hostess and an unfriendly waitress does not leave the best taste in your mouth.

The food was okay. Great view of courses from the patio. Our server was very nice. There were a lot of staff kind of just hanging around. I was expecting a more "high-end" experience, which was not delivered.

Went to Highlands for breakfast and waited 30 min only rec'd coffee, service was very slow. Ended up eating at Otto's downtown where the food & service were great. Our hotel room had a nice balcony with a lake view but between the spiderwebs everywhere and the mosquitoes it didn't get much use. Overall a clean, safe, quiet resort with beautiful grounds.

It was not terrific. We were one of three tables with customers, and we had to wait forever for service. We had a sandwich and a salad, and it took almost 30 mins. When the salad arrived, the chicken had a strange taste to it, it was off-putting. The view is kinda nice, though. We won't be returning. Nothing to write home about.

Been here numerous times; never impressed. First, can someone do something about the lady or ladies who answer the phone and act like you're inconveniencing them by daring to request it they have capacity to serve you food? This is, after all, a restaurant. Perhaps a discussion about "on-stage vs off-stage" might help. For example, when a customer calls to ask about pizza takeout, the server shouldn't go on about how busy they are and how they can't keep up and how they won't deliver your pizza for two hours. Maybe they are short on staff, but customers don't care. Second, how about some differentiation between "Woodlands" and "Highlands"? People who don't live in Galena 12 months out of the year don't know the difference. And - and I can't emphasize this part enough - they don't care. Customers should never go to one establishment to be told that the "food is at the highlands tonight." What does that even mean? Do they only function part-time? Last, the food is not very good. These are the ONLY restaurants in the Territory. The basic food like wings and pizza should be better. This is not the high-end restaurant its operators think it is. I would recommend the following: Have ONE restaurant that is full-service. Make it clear which restaurant this is. ONLY advertise the other one as a bar. Stop trying to be a 4-star restaurant and just be good at what you do: burgers, wings, pizzas, salads. Train your servers and greeters to act like this isn't their first job. And also explain to them that customers are GOOD. Tell them that if customers are a bother, they should try a different industry. I've said my piece. We are property owners in Galena and have been coming here for decades. I've never understood why there can't be an actual functioning restaurant in the territory.

At this time serving very limited menu of appetizers and pizza. Had hopes for the pizza but it was kind of dry needing more toppings and the thin crust was like cardboard. But the service and the view is nice.

Nice view, okay food and bad customer service. Will try again and update review, maybe they just had a bad manager and cook the night we ate here. Ordered a burger medium rare. They brought it out well done. I sent it back, because it was wrong. They took my plate and 15 minutes later, after my family was wrapping up dinner, they brought me another well done burger. This time with cold fries, since they just let them sit in back, while they messed up my meal the 2nd time. The manager did nothing when I told her it was yet again well done. Pro tips here after working in multiple restaurants. 1. Bring the customer the food as they ordered it. 2. If you have to redo their meal, just don't give them cold sides because you messed up. 3. If you can't get the food right a 2nd time, don't just glare and act confused.

Took 20 minutes to place my order for take out pizza as I kept getting transferred from The Highlands to The Woodlands. Really wanted the Woodland pizza but called 3 times and no one answered. Finally called the Highlands. Was told to order two pizzas for 4 people because they were small and would only feed 2 people. Picked them up and they were quite large. One would have been enough. Pizzas were overcooked and the crust was as hard. Cost $45 for two very mediocre pizzas. Will not order again.

Waited for table even though tables were open Had to wave down server after waiting 30 minutes once seated. Waited 30 minutes for salad and that after we were told they ran out of lettuce and has to cut more Terrible all around

Really disappointed that this venue has only pizza and pretzels to offer. Smelled so good last summer when it was open.... Hoping they reopen this summer with a full menu.

Update your hours online so Open Table won’t let people make dinner reservations and drive to your restaurant when you’re CLOSED! Pretty basic.

Would like to give zero stars. They couldn’t even be bothered to pick up their phone for a to go order. We came to the territories with a toddler and could not really venture far for dinner so we’re relying on this for a dining option. I’ve worked in the service industry for probably 10 years previously and cannot ever remember a time we let the phones go unanswered. Unacceptable.

Terrible service. I ordered a pizza for pick up when I arrived at the hostess station, no one there. In fact, no one was kind enough to say go to the bar to get your order for pick up. When I ordered, I was told 15 -20 min. I arrived after 20 min. After waiting an additional 30 min inside the restaurant, I decided to give up and go home. The place was not busy and they need to get their act together. WON'T BE GOING BACK!!!

We were hoping to go to another restaurant at the resort that had just been closed. The host had a dismissive attitude and the menu options were quite different so although we had a gift card we left and paid for a dinner at another restaurant. Would never recommend the restaurant or resort.

If you’re not a member or property owner, steer clear. It’s very obvious from the moment you walk in that “outsiders” aren’t welcome. We were staying at of one of the eagle ridge condo properties and decided to try out the highlands restaurant. Big mistake. We were told there would be a 20+ minute wait when we walked in, but there were MANY tables available and staff standing around. We took a seat at the bar and watched multiple other walk-in guests get sat before us. Definitely not welcoming to anyone who isn’t a property owner. Won’t ever be back.

The hostess treated us like scum on the bottom of her shoe as we are not property owners in the area. We waited for a table in the bar area and had a couple drinks. They seated property owners first, who arrived after we did. I understand that we have no invesment in the area but it appeared as welcome to the public. I won't come here ever again. Dont bother if you are just visiting and staying in the area, you won't be welcome.

We ordered lunch for pick up on 8/16. Due to the COVID situation, we decided to pick up food and dine at a nature park nearby. We had to wait for 30 minutes to get the food. That is not the major concern. We ordered a kids meal (chicken strips and fries) which came in a styrofoam to-go box which was melted due to the heat from the food. I guess the chef has picked the strips from the hot oil and directly placed them in the box which has melted it. It's pretty bad that we noticed this after the kid was done with his lunch, as this was melting was at the lower half of the box. Its a safety concern as the food might have had some melted styrofoam on it.
