We have no complaints. Everything was exceptional.

Friendly staff, fresh seafood, and perfectly cooked shrimp. The oysters were so good we called it quits three platters later.

This place is so great! The atmosphere feels so beachy you'd expect sand on the floor & beach wave views from the patio. The food taste fresh like it was picked straight from said beach view. In fact the only thing missing is the beach!

Prayers answered!! I've had Catfish and seafood from here to Virginia - Memphis too and I have NEVER had food this good!! Best food in the Panhandle - EVERYTHING goes together like sun, beer and summer. Homemade cocktail sauce covers up NOTHING, the batter best I've had anywhere, even the slaw tastes unique to this place. SURPRISING AS HELL D*mn good food, even the gator. Fries are simple, no salt because it would mess up the taste of the other food, but the food is so good the fries act like good bread. Best kept secret in Amarillo

Always great! Don't expect a fancy surroundings or prompt service, they are small and usually swamped with customers. Just good fresh seafood. Never have had a bad meal at Scott's.

These are absolutely the best fried oysters in town! If you go anywhere else you will not beat the quality for the price! I highly recommend coming here not only for the oysters but for the catfish and tartar sauce is killer!

Friendly service and best seafood in Amarillo. Even if you have to wait it's worth the wait. The stuffed crab dinner is amazing along with the peel and eat shrimp and fresh oysters on the half shell!

It was my first visit to Scott's and it was enjoyable. I was just getting shrimp to go and it was cooked right in front of me. The service was great and shrimp was delicious! Will definitely go back!

Setting is raw. Atmosphere is family friendly. Staff is talkitive, and friendly. Food is hot, and delicious! Drinks are cold and plentiful! Go there as soon as you can!

Soooo goooood! This is where I first fell in love with seafood. On Saturdays they have a spicy Cajun bowl with crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and a roll. On my first visit, they were very helpful when I had to ask how the heck you eat crab legs.

The raw oyster platter with cocktail sauce, crackers and fried shrimp with lenlmon were spectacular!

OMG - Terrifically great food, kinky server, knowledge owner/chef, marvelous tasting daily specials. My favorite are oysters on halfshell ... except when ie want the shrimp or catfish. Decisions are the most difficult part of eating here.

Awesome! My wife googled it and I thought "oysters in Amarillo- come on man! Turns out I have never had them that fresh on the gulf. They were perfect size and a Bakers dozen to boot. The Boudin balls were also superb as was the fried shrimp/oyster combo. Best dive I have ever been in. It is small and need to get there early. There was absolutely no fishy smell as in the New Orleans oyster bars. We will not come through Amarillo ever again without stopping at Scott's

I've enjoyed Scott's for over 20 years and the food has always been consistently excellent. Extra points for providing fresh seafood in the Panhandle.

Awesome seafood! It is a very small and old fashion place. But the food is good and the service is great. I asked for fried shrimp and it was served with salad and fries.

Love this place we have traveled to Amarillo twice since April. The waitress is always so generous. We have brought 2 dozen oysters home to Albuquerque, and they have been perfect. Thank you Scott's Oyster bar. I failed to get the waitresses name twice now, but thank you are amazing.

But what really stole the show were the dishes - I had the catfish, oysters, and boiled shrimp and they were all cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich and savory, and the seafood was incredibly fresh. I especially loved the oysters - they were plump and juicy, with just the right amount of brine. I highly recommend Scott's Oyster Bar to anyone looking for a fantastic seafood dining experience. I have eaten fried oysters all over the US, and Caribbean. NO ONE HAS BETTER than Scott's Oyster Bar!! Fish is good to. Never had a bad meal here. I come from San Antonio just to get my Oyster fix.

This is such a neat place. Love the atmosphere and the food was AMAZING!! You will not find better seafood anywhere else! If I lived here I would go all of the time. My husband and I love seafood and this is some of the best we have ever had.

Consistently The Best Oysters in Amarillo, Also better than most other places we've visited. Always fresh. Service is good, Wouldn't hurt to have 2 servers but good things come to those who wait. Definitely Recommend.

This is a hidden gem! The best seafood in Amarillo. I tried a half order of fresh oysters and regret I didn't order the full order. They were very fresh gulf oysters with a great flavor. Great staff to help guide you in what to order. Get there early it fills up quickly.

This place will always stay in our revolving places for a good meal and a cold beer. This is not the place to go if you want speedy and cordial service. I’m perfectly okay with that. The food is always consistently good, and beer is always cold. Never had a bad meal here.

We LOVE this Place , we have been coming to this restaurant since the 90s and they have never disappointed us. They were outstanding last night they went over and Beyond for Us !!! We celebrated my husband's birthday there and they were amazing there was about 20 of us and the service was off the chain !! If you haven't eaten there it's a Must food is Amazing!!! Thank you Scott's Oyster bar if I could give yall more then 5 stars I definitely would !! I have been to Galveston and Posta Vallarta and their oysters don't Compare to Scott's. I was born in Apalachicola Fla the best oysters in the world. these are almost as good. my wife has 3 dozen. i have fried shrimp, both outstanding. great staff, they take turns cooking or serving. genuine atmosphere. bring plenty of $ if you have fresh oysters its worth it. we tip shucker & waiter with cash.

The first time I have ever dined here. This place has the best service and food is not greasy at all. Fried catfish, oysters, shrimp and fries and the Cole slaw is perfect ! I will be back to Scott's ! Visiting from out of town and this place is one of my favorites here in Amarillo ! I will be back !

I love this place! We drive a hundred miles just to eat here sometimes. Covid has changed everything..... it's still my go to place for oysters, but for some reason, eating out....anywhere isn't the fun, social occasion it once was. Glad you guys have managed to stay open through it all.

My husband and I love Scott's Oyster Bar! It has a great vibe! The raw oysters are amazing and their seafood is fresh. We like to go on date night. I especially love sitting on the patio. It is nice and warm and sure beats the air-conditioned atmosphere of most restaurants. You feel like you are on vacation.

Our favorites are the fresh oysters and the boiled shrimp (get the spicy!) but the fried plates are expertly done. This place is a gem.

They do not use crab boil on the shrimp which is disappointing. I am from New Orleans and boiled shrimp not in crab boil is tasteless all u get is the cocktail sauce taste. But the shrimp is fresh and the oysters are also fresh and their fried oysters taste really good.! All in all a very old and unique place. Just the smell on the way In u will know it has fried manys foods over the years lol if u know what I mean for is older folks know. Anyway, I would recommend this place. It's out of the way it's small, but the food's fresh. The atmosphere is great and the people are there are great

This is a small place with big flavors! The oysters are so fresh and the catfish and shrimp are also delish! The beer is on ice so it’s very cold. The service is exceptional with seasoned wait staff. Again it’s an small older place but worth a visit! There is an outdoor seating area as well. Daily specials except for Wednesdays. We visit this place often and have been coming here for years and years! Go…You won’t be disappointed!

Absolute best seafood in Amarillo. I grew up in Amarillo and moved to Fort Worth, and even after being in DFW since 2003 I have yet to find a place with fried shrimp as good as Scott's! Every time I come back to town, I bring my parents. Get the shrimp and catfish combo and one of their ICE COLD beers (possibly coldest in town).

I Love Scott’s, if you like oysters this is the place!! Scott’s is the kind of dive bar atmosphere you would see on Dinners, Drive-in and Dives! I have eaten there several times over the years and never been disappointed!! We normally order fresh oysters (as an appetizer) catfish, and fried Oysters. It was so good tonight we ordered an extra dozen oysters. We tried another local oyster restaurant (expensive/ poor service) for our anniversary last month and was so disappointed! We Both left wishing we had just went to Scott’s!! So tonight was a make-up dinner for our post anniversary.

WOW! Finally a place in Amarillo with FRESH great tasting oysters! This restaurant had been on the list of places to try, and we finally made it in. We were not disappointed. The dining room is small but not crowded. The staff are friendly and prompt. The food is made fresh and tasty. The menu is small and compact. That's just what you want when it comes to good food. Having a small menu means the staff are experts at each dish each time it's prepared. We ordered the one dozen oysters on the half shell, one shrimp dinner, 2 catfish dinners, a stuffed crab & drinks. The oysters were cold, shucked well and delicious! The shrimp are large and taste great. The catfish is well seasoned and piping hot. The crab is flavorful and a goid size. The coleslaw was cold and tasty. The fries were not that great, but we did not go here to have french fries. Drinks come in styrofoam cups, no straws, which is not an issue. Save the Turtles! 🐢 The environment is laid back and relaxed. Not a formal setting. More of an at home backyard cookout vibe. This place is definitely going to be a regular on our list of places in Amarillo. We were very pleased with the food and the experience. We look forward to going back.

This place, although small with limited seating, is quite cozy. The staff are friendly and welcoming and they keep your drinks full! The fried shrimp were tender and buttery while still sporting that satisfyingly crispy exterior. The OYSTERS were creamy and tender as well. Even the hushpuppies had great flavor. I would highly recommend this resturant if you are looking for good seafood in the Amarillo area!

Always fresh always good. If you are in a hurry wrong place, service is always good food cooked to order no precooked. This fits in the dive category nothing fancy just good food. Go there often.

Seafood is a hard thing to find in the Panhandle of Texas. Scott's is one of the only places that's consistently excellent in terms of quality. Most of their fare is fried, but they do serve boiled shrimp and oysters on the half shell. It perfectly fits the definition of a 'dive', but in the best way possible. No muss, no fuss, fried seafood and beer. It's a staple of the community, and worth a visit. Just be prepared to be VERY close to your neighbor tables!

Cheerful spot for beer and fried oysters or catfish. The person at the counter was very kind as we were stopping by for a car repair during a multi-day road trip. We had a nice little lunch on the shaded patio.

Very good Oysters for being so far from the coast. It's very small and not updated at all, but that really didn't bother us at all. The prices has escalated though. 2 dozen raw oysters, 1 dozen fried oysters, and one coke, with tip $82

Great food! But sometimes slow getting food out. Edit...and 5 years down the road we're still coming here for seafood. Thursdays I almost always get a half order of Shrimp Creole. I've ordered it so many Thursdays that Amy knows my order.

Incredible sea food, one of the best in Amarillo. I have always enjoyed the hospitality. I would give Scott’s 5 stars all day if there was a way to dine in without walking out smelling like a grease trap. It’s a little shack with great food, just a bit more ventilation seems like it would go such a long ways. Either way, you can’t go wrong with the food.

This place is usually great but After Darrell leaving the customer service has gone from 9 to a 3. We have ordered gumbo to go a few times the last few Fridays and have gotten Mickey Mouse portions with no shrimp. We had to add our own shrimp to make it worthwhile. Don’t order it to go, eat in house. Besides that scott’s oyster has been great in the past.

Delicious food, hardworking server on all tables, quaint shack with a couple handfuls of tables, but it's a Popular place to eat! I had the fried catfish and fried oysters combo basket---it was Delicious!!! Their tartar sauce though... Mmmm! Cold beer, shrimp gumbo, fried oysters, catfish. Poboys available on lunch menu. Regulars definitely come here. You can also order take-out instead if you need to, but it's pretty cool just eating there, love the Seafood Shack vibe, old hardwood floors and everything. A Must-Try at least once. If you go in--look for the big chalkboard for the weekly daily specials!!! Delicious food for a small place like this. Scott's Oyster Bar has been in Amarillo for ages--they've been open this long for a reason!! Check 'em out!

If you are looking for fried everything this is the place to go. I feel the batter is too thick on the shrimp and oysters. The catfish was ok.

I arrived at Scott's Oyster Bar at 1142 and ordered the gumbo, at 1218 still no food. Asked for it to go and after 5 min of waitng i just left. I guess this place is not for people that only have an hour for lunch.

The food was good but the waitress was rude. I told her we had never been there before and ordered. I didnt understand the menu and she charged us extra and didnt fix it when i asked her about it. Also it said half priced shrimp that day and she charged us full price, so i payed an extra $10 for my meal. Wouldn't be a big deal if she hadn't have been rude from the get-go

First of all, the food here is great. The catfish is fried perfectly and isn't greasy--it's great! However, the service is some of the worst I've ever seen. We were some of the first people in the building upon opening. (Apparently the order you get there doesn't matter, as others behind us in line got service first.) Only one waitress was taking orders in the small, packed-out building at lunchtime. That wouldn't have bothered me so much, but the waitress had the personality of a brick. She didn't seem to care about providing good service and she never asked if I needed a refill the entire hour I was there. She wasn't friendly at all. I tried to get her attention, but she never even returned to give us our check. We eventually had to go to her and she seemed too preoccupied to even care. Food was 5 stars. Service was 1.

This is our first time here, personal were very nice and attentive. We ordered half a dozen of Fresh oysters,,,, DELICIOUS! Then we ordered a basket of stuffed crab and fried shrimp, fried catfish,,, the order came with fries and hush puppies The fried fish was good, the fried shrimp had no flavor whatsoever, the crab cake was good and flavorful.. but personally will not order again because I just don’t like crab.. the fries were kinda like McDonald’s fries,.. so yes i liked them,.. now the hush puppies were perfect… flavorful and crisply… I will come again,,, mainly because they have delicious oysters..their place needs some cleaning tho.

This place is total trash these place should be shut down has pictures of delicious seafood such as crab legs when you show up this place only has fried items and the oysters of the half shelf i eat were full of broken pieces of shells then big wanna be bubba gump hits a table of 4 for $34.75 for 4 people to eat a dozen oysters a beer and 2 sweet teas i mean come on this place has false advertisement and terrible service and then hits you with an outrageous bill. I felt like i was being held up at gun point. STAY AWAY FROM THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A OYSTER BAR/ SEAFOOD RESTAURANT

Do not get the raw oysters. Not only had the ones we ordered gone bad, but they are clearly the cheapest gulf oysters available and still had the taste of ocean water. They charge $2.50 each for them, which is an absurd price for gulf oysters. The po-boy was plain and didn't have mayo or remoulade on the sandwich. It comes with a side of cocktail sauce instead. The waitress also completely forgot our drink order. Hopefully our experience is not the norm, but even if the oysters weren't spoiled they're still very low quality at a crazy high price.

I went into Scotts Oyster Bar and order the half order of the Shrimp Creole. Got home with my order. My order had 3 shrimp and maybe a table spoon of rice. I thought it felt a little light, butt did check before i left. Posted price said half order was 10.95, my card was charged 11.85. Total price with tip was $14.00. Terribly disappointed, been eating at Scotts for 40 years.

I am a delivery driver, I went into this restaurant to order some food for a delivery. When I got inside the waitress ignored me for 30 minutes while taking other Togo orders from others that came in after me. The cook finally came over and took the order. When he was finished with me, he told someone else that their Togo order would be done in 25 to 30 minutes. I went back in an hour later, and they still weren't done with the order. If this restaurant comes up on my app again, I will have to skip it and go on to the next order that comes up. I lost money because of this... If the owner of this reads this, please fix this problem, you may be loosing business because of things like this. Sorry if this gets anyone in trouble, but I needed to say something about this.

Very Rude! They would not answer their phone for me to place an order to go! When I arrived to place order I was told they couldn’t do to go Orders during Lent....however if I sat down in their filthy restaurant I could have ordered the two dozen oysters and asked for a to go box! Absolutely will not be spending one $ in their establishment! Thankfully Drunken Oyster was more than happy to accommodate my request!

We only heard good things about this place and we love oysters. Finally decided to go and while we were entering, another couple was leaving and held the door open for us blocking a sign in the foyer. Just after entering the very small restaurant one of the workers vehemently screams at us asking if we can read. Apparently the sign said something about not sitting at a dirty table and that was the only table open that my wife went to when we walked in. There is nowhere to wait inside due to the size. Still unsure why he decided to yell and embarrass us in front of the whole restaurant. Will not return based on this interaction alone. No oyster is good enough to get yelled at for. Disappointed and should’ve gotten his name.

The food was good but the service was awful. We ordered 2 dozen oysters they were amazing. We then ordered food. While waiting for our food( that took over an hour to get to us) we asked multiple times for a refill on our drink and he said he would get it multiple times and never did. It was not until i got up to get my own refill that he got mad and finally wanted to come to our table. He checked on us only once in 2 hours. I will not return because it was the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant.

I have lived in Texas my whole life and have never experienced the discrimination, disrespect, and rudeness i was shown at this establishment. Not only was the waitress rude and treated my friend and i like we were second class citizens. Our food was not at all what we were told to expect. The stares and whispers from the staff were very obvious and continued until we left. This restaurant employs a bunch of small minded, disrespectful, homophobic people. They have no manners or willingness to treat everyone as equals. You would think with what is going on in our country right now, they would be a little more kind to people who are different than they are. Especially paying customers! Will not ever return and would not recommend.

Came to this restaurant on a Friday night. They only had 1 server and 1 cook. We seated ourselves. Waited about 20 minutes and never got service. We were seated by a large bathtub full of beer that said do not help yourselves (would have helped the wait). We ended up leaving, never got service or spoken to by anyone at the restaurant. Would have liked to leave a better review but is exactly how it happened.
