When in on the 0th of October spend 50 to feed 4 people but the food was not up to 165 degrees it was old as well tried speaking with management but no one was available then I tried calling but no one answered the phone hopefully this will get to upper management or the owner we go every week

So it has been over 20 some odd years it seems that Long John silver's has been in Amarillo. The taste is the same The store atmosphere is much better than it was before. Currently the drive-thru is extremely long you're going to wait suggestion would be parking in the air parking lot or the one across the way walk over and you can be in and out in less than 10 to 15 minutes.

Love the new store in amarillo, its starting to clam down the traffic and the flow of customer's still busy but not like it was .

There was a long line to get to order window but once there the service was good and fast, 2min from order to pickup. The order was 100% correct, the food was hot. The hushpuppies and coleslaw are excellent. We got the 16 piece family meal half and half with Fries, Corn and 2 Cole Slaw + order of Krumbs.

I'm glad the lines have normalized. When I use the app it's a quick lunch pick up. Love those crunchies

I would recommend a line painted on the pavement and possibly cones for the drive thru line to keep the driveway open to others leaving the parking lot, this caused the cars to back up onto bell Street. Bathroom could use cleaning more often.

Ordered through DoorDash, and didn’t get bbq sauce. But I’m guessing that just because they don’t keep bbq sauce. They did make the chicken crispy, and gave plenty of crumbs which I love!!!

I don't know who is giving them 1 stars and bad reviews but they stay busy and they're good to me. It's hard to run a business but I can honestly say they're pretty good with there food and service. I think there are a lot of Karen's and man Karen's that always think they are everyone's personal food critic. I hope they stay open for a long time maybe even open another location.

This was a pickup through the drive thru. We had avoided this new location because of long lines. However, the line was short when we arrived. The woman on the intercom was courteous, helpful and efficient. The new equipment made her easy to understand. Our food was ready and the service at the window was excellent. The food was Long John Silvers with the exception of the fries. Usually, fries taste like the fish. Here, there was no fishy taste. Highly recommend.

Restaurant is finally normal! Steady business inside and in drive thru. We were third in line inside and waited 3 min max to order. Food was fresh, hot and order filled accurately. From order to eating was less than 5 minutes. We will definitely be going back soon.

I was so excited to have Long John Silver's back in Amarillo! The drive through was backed up down bell Street quite a ways. It took about 30 minutes to make it to the order window. The food was good but the fish was kinda oily.

Kuddos to all the staff that was REALLY on the move trying to get orders out as fast as possible. Today was the first day open, drive thru line was so far down bell i lost sight, i placed an online order for pickup. Inside was full but was moving quickly. I was greated with smiles all thru my visit. The flavor was not quite there, fish n chicken are smaller then bk when, the hush puppies were bigger which only ment they absorbed more grease and its now waffle fries. Glad to have LJS bk in Amarillo ans wish them all the best!

A good Long John silver location no complaints

Stopped in to give the new location a try. Once you got past the batter the fish was fine although I believe their oil temp was a bit low as it wasn't as flaky as I would have expected. The criss cut fries were crisp as they should be. The hush puppies were so-so, but I grew up in the South where we have a whole different standard for what a hush puppy should be.

We lost our LjS locations the last few years and now one is back. Long lines have finally diminished. Is it high quality? Uh no. But I need my chicken and shrimp, loaded with malt vinegar to get my fix.

Been here twice recently. Went back the second time hoping there'd be an improvement. The fish was tasty but a little overcooked making it somewhat rubbery, but edible. The hush puppies were overcooked, hard, and greasy. The waffle fries were also overcooked and so hard I gave up eating them. Still hoping for improvement.

I gave the food a 1 star. I went this month so excited to eat LJS just to come home disappointed! There is a picture on here of how my food looked like with all the batter uncooked. The night crew really needs to slow down and not rush!! The shrimp tasted really weird. Please fix the issues because the 2nd day y’all opened the food was worth all the stars. Now 2 months in someone is rushing and not loving their job.

Went through drive thru girl working window was polite and friendly, service was quick and fast but food was horrible, fries were like rubber and chicken and fish were luke warm and chicken crust was just as rubbery as the fries, didn't feel like turning around and going back,but for it to be as expensive as it is they should keep better eye on the quality of food being sent out, and maybe better hold times for items, I know for a fact fries shouldn't be sitting there for as long as these had to have been.....$30 dollars for 2 meals not including drinks and couldn't even eat the fries. Gave 2 stars because I waited over a month to eat here, finally ordered food, got home and they gave me ranch instead of tartar sauce for my fish. LJS tartar sauce is like gold and going for fish and not getting tartar sauce is a travesty. I guess at least they tried and gave me some kind of sauce that resembles tartar sauce but who puts ranch on fish?? I guess it makes sense now that, when I asked for extra tartar sauce the employee made a face like I'm wrong for wanting at least 1 tartar sauce per fish. If they were out of tartar sauce they should have said something and honestly I would had rather known they were out before I ordered or I wouldn't have ordered anything because I don't want fish without tartar sauce. They're a fish establishment, you'd think they'd have tartar sauce. I'll give them another chance and maybe edit this review at a later time but I'm really disappointed in today's meal. We bought two orders of the 2 pice fish 3 chicken meals . Ended up getting nothing but chicken Tried calling but because they’re still so busy. Couldn’t never get a hold of anyone. Just disappointed my wife really wanted the fish and she’s been waiting for so long

We'd been waiting so long to get in there and finally did. We were very excited! Went through the drive-thru. Ordered 2 piece fish with fries and coleslaw and a 3 piece fish with fries and coleslaw. We also got a bottle of their vinegar for the fish. It cost around $28. When we got home we found that the 3 piece was chicken, not fish and that they had changed their fries to waffle fries. Also, the fish was coated in such a thick batter that it was very hard. The meal was not enjoyable at all. We won't be going back.

Way too much salt. Everything including the sides like waffle fires, rice, corn and the batter on the fish had an over abundance of salt. If you are on a salt-reduced diet you really should try the smaller offerings from the menu to see if the seasoning is your preference. I won't be back.

Update 11/9 Drive Thru service , not good, Shrinkflation hits LJS now, Chicken on #12 were half sized and short 1 fish off #11, nothing fresh. Will definitly be a while for SURE before we try LJS again. Today was NOT a good day for LJS.. our 3 platters had a mixture of old dried fish and chicken, with one fresh piece. The hush puppies were very fresh, waffle fries were old and dry, coleslaw slaw was watery, green beans had no taste...seemed to be setting out uncovered or something. The kids menu shrimp was old and dry. Me and my family were not satisfied 🙃 🙂 this visit. All other visits were GREAT. It will be awhile before we go back..so upsetting to us!

Hair on the food and one hair cooked into the food. Manager was not apologetic and kept saying it was from the box, it was clearly animal hair, she even had the hair on her apron. No one was wearing gloves while handling food.

I ordered the number 8, which is an 8 piece shrimp with two sides, for my two sides I got corn and waffle fries. After waiting an hour and finally getting home, I open my food to see I got one single fry in my box. The disrespect is crazy :( and my boyfriend didn’t even get his fries at all, and with how tiny the corn cup is it doesn’t make up for not getting one of our sides.

I went out of nostalgia. The hush puppies were so dry all the way to the core that they were unbeatable. The fish and chicken were so dry that you tell they’d been made well in advance. We've already gone 4 times and have LOVED this place, but this last visit really got me frustrated. We've ate inside every time, on this late visit I ordered the PLATE grilled shrimp meal that comes with green beans, corn, and rice. Keep in mind I did not use the electronic menu we took the time and talked with the person behind the register. I ended up with the grilled shrimp bowl instead of the plate that I both pointed towards and asked for, The bowl has coleslaw or cabbage (I think), and I absolutely hate coleslaw and cabbage. When I got the bowl I asked them hey this isn't what I ordered, I literally re-pointed towards the plate literally on their menu board located right behind the manager and cashier that took my order. They said yes it was, I kept telling them NO, this is the bowl it doesn't have the green beans, and corn that I wanted. But they kept saying sorry but that is the plate meal. I finally just gave up and asked them well can you atl east remake this "WRONG order" without the coleslaw?? and the manager said absolutely not, we can't that's what you ordered! WTH!!!

Went at 11:50 AM Saturday. Ordered three number five. (Fish). All six pieces of fish were so hard you couldn’t eat them and when you tore the batter off, the fish was completely dried out and an eighth of an inch thick and was not even half the size of the batter spent $33. I visited today, spent $17.00 for a #5 add a piece of fish double Cole slaw, Unsweetened Tea. I did not receive my other Cole slaw, tea was sweet, but that’s not my main concern. Long John Silver, did you change your fish? This is not what I’m accustomed too. I’m originally from Kentucky, where LJS started. The fish is now mushy like baby food vs the deep battened flaky fish. I have been driving by since before they opened. This evening the drive thru was only a block and a half long. We parked, it was around 9. We walked in waited about 30 to 45 minutes in line. Placed the order, waited about an hour. We ordered fish and hush puppies. The hush puppies ranged in size, and were just disgusting balls of grease. The fish was just crunchy grease planks. I can't be the only one who received such terrible greasy food. This was only day 3. They can only get better? I can only hope. But honestly if you are thinking of braving the crowds and waiting. Don't! It was definitely not worth bothering with. If there were negative stars on here I would have used a negative 3.

Management or the owners should have hired someone extra, temporarily, to answer the phone during business hours for the opening rush to answer simple business questions. Not to take orders, not to deal with mistakes or complaints. Simple questions like business hours, size or weight of menu items. Everything on the menu can be ordered online as a side or as a single piece in addition to the meals except.... 1 extra piece of COD fish!! Can this be ordered online, if so, what's the price? What do I have to do to get 1 extra piece of COD fish with my 2 piece COD fish meal?? Over the last weeks, I have called hundreds of times before you open, during business hours and after you close... No answer, no leave a message!

Three times the charm! I've been three times to this location, each time they ask me what size is I want, I tell him but I never get them. Not only that I paid $18 for a super sampler pack and a drink. It came with one shrimp one french fry mainly crunchies it just wasn't worth it.

Today we went here for the 2nd time and both times food is hard and don't taste good also cold, like really!? Service was fast but the girl that took our order and served us didn't seem like she wanted to be there or happy at all! Also I ordered fish and got chicken! Just drove across town for nothing really! Do better long johns 😒

Carolyn I have always loved LJS since yall opened in Amarillo I've been there numerous times. We went through the drive thru and ordered 16 pc family meal with 4 sides. 64.00 bucks ..I took a bite of the chicken 1/2 of the chicken was missing inside. There were 9 pieces of chicken that were like that. I took pictures of it, so ridiculous! We had to throw the coleslaw away it was so old the smell was horrible, and another coleslaw was so old it had no crunch and was soggy. The corn was good. Then, after we paid, we asked for malt vinegar, and they had none. For this horrible service, I will not go back for a long time or ever. I'd rather drive to Lubbock like I have in the past to get a meal... I rate yall a zero!!
