Tonight, I treated myself to a solo dinner at Saint & Second, and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the entire experience. I started with the crab cakes—they were light, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For my entrée, I had the Caesar salad with chicken, which was hearty and filling. To finish, I indulged in the warm apple pie with ice cream, the perfect end to a fantastic meal. My server, Armando, was warm, friendly, and efficient, offering thoughtful and helpful recommendations from the menu. The restaurant’s sommelier and manager also went above and beyond, providing a first-class wine tasting experience that paired beautifully with my meal. I highly recommend visiting Saint & Second for any occasion. The ambiance is inviting, the food is outstanding, and the service is truly exceptional. Without a doubt, this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Long Beach. When you go, be sure to ask for Armando and Diana—you won’t be disappointed.

Really enjoyed my experience at Saint & Second! I decided to go with their 3 course menu for $60. For appetizer, I ordered the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious and came with lettuce wraps and Korean style condiments. My main course I went with the roasted chicken. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful. It came with a nice black garlic sauce and delicious creamed corn. Highly recommend this dish! Lastly, for dessert I got the pistachio butter cake. This cake was decadent and so tasty, a wonderful way to finish the meal. The service here was helpful and prompt. The restaurant has a great vibe and is the perfect place to hang out and have dinner.

Saint & Second is an absolute vibe! This place nails it with its chic, modern atmosphere and a menu that’s packed with flavor. I recently hosted a large dinner party here, and it was perfection—think crispy Brussels sprouts, mouthwatering short rib pasta, and cocktails that are as creative as they are delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make our night special, and the energy of the space is both lively and welcoming. Whether it’s a big group or a cozy date night, Saint & Second delivers every time. A must-visit in Long Beach!

I had an incredible dining experience at Saint & Second restaurant. The ambiance for lunch was comfortable and pleasant without the overbearing loud volume from other guests. The service was impecable, and our server had a fun personality, which enhanced our dining experience. Also, he was attentive and made great suggestions for our table. I ordered the fish sandwich, which may sound basic for a restaurant, but the presentation was admirable with a perfect portion size. Also, the savory flavor of the food was divine and left me satisfied as a customer. Overall, my experience was exquisite, and I was impressed with the attention to details the chef put into the food and presentstion. In addition, the cocktails were refreshing with the perfect mix of fresh ingredients. Thank you and see you soon 👌👌🙏🙏

We. Are here for our friends birthday. Very nice vibe with an industrial plus natural ambiance as they use lots of metal and wood for decoration. We ordered the SS signature burger, some appetizers (truffle fries, Korean style pork belly with lettuce wrap, calamari), some drinks and a dessert (pistachio cake, which is all right). The food in general was tasty but not mind blowing. Probably above average. The waitress was super friendly. Recommend for friends and family gathering.

Had brunch at this place and getting a table outside was a treat. Nice ambiance and service was good. Mafe was really courteous, attentive and friendly. Ordered the Smoked Tri Tip Hash. Tasted good but was disappointed with the meat not being tender as I thought it should be. It was cut in small chunks but would have been better if served in thin slices instead. The Cheddar biscuits were great with the jam. Fair priced menu items. Would not order the Tri tip again though. 🫤

We came here on a Wednesday afternoon in the pouring rain and there was tons of seating available. Parking is metered parking on the street and I imagine that it would be harder to find parking on a regular day or in the evening. The ambiance is quite upscale and this restaurant would serve well for date night. We ordered the French onion soup, Crispy chicken sandwich with truffle fried and the Fish and chips with regular fries. The French Onion soup was delicious - warm, melting cheese, bread soaked in completely...it was excellent! It was also quite heavy so I'm glad that we ordered only one to share. The fish and chips was surprisingly good. The haddock fillet was cooked to perfection and the breading was light but crispy. The tartar sauce with it was very very good. They didn't provide any malt vinegar. The fries were thin and crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside which we liked. The crispy chicken sandwich was also very good. The chicken, again, had a thin but crispy breading that was beaded with black pepper, chili and I guess, some peanut powder as per the menu. It was lovely to eat. The sandwich was filled with kimchi sauce, cabbage and Korean pickles to give it an Asian zing. The truffle fries were delicious but I would have liked a little more truffle oil. The service was mediocre. The server was ok. They would also disappear right around the time we needed something. But outside of that, the food was good and I recommend this place for their food.

Came here with my husband to meet up with my friend and her husband. We got there just as dinner was about to start, but we still had time to order from lunch (esp since meals are pricey). Got our drinks and my cocktail was average. The food was nice, not over the top. The atmosphere was a bit bland. There really wasn't people around, which was a plus. However, the waiter didn't come around as often as I would have liked. In the end, there was a different waiter doing our checks. We asked for separate checks and he had to look around for the other waiter to get the checks separated; he didn't get it right. Then, my husband and I were charged for dinner prices. A beer, a cocktail, two meals and one appetizer came out to $160. In my opinion, it was not well money spent. I'd say skip this place and check out any of the other vast amount of establishments in the area.

The place is very nice and clean. The food is okay, nothing extraordinary and the portions are very small. There are no refills for sodas and juices, nor is there any complimentary bread. There was no line at the reception, there were several empty tables and the receptionist took more than 15 minutes to seat us at a table (I thought it was strange). The waiter seemed to be overwhelmed, having to serve 3 tables and putting on a show with the smoke from one of the dishes that took over the entire restaurant. I thought it was expensive and overrated.

Long Beach Location...Last night, I chose this place for my last dinner in Cali because of the reviews. From the moment we walked in the male host was AMAZING! We chose to sit upstairs, the atmosphere was great. Our waiter Sagan was nice and informative. After going over what type of cocktail I like, he suggested the Matchi Colada....THE BEST THING I HAD AT THE RESTAURANT. Now to the food....I was not impressed and it didn't live up to the hype of the reviews. First dish: Mac & Shrooms, I thought this was going to be great because I love mushrooms...well the taste was bland and it had a watery texture (not creamy at all). Second: crab cakes, they were sweet and there was a lot of bread filling, it was NOT crab forward at all. The sauce under the crab cakes tasted sweet as well. Did not like the taste. The last of my order was the truffle fries that was fried in duck fat, the concept was on the menu looked good, but the fries were shoestring fries from out of a bag, not housemade. The fries were not hot and was fried very hard. The cheese on top was a little over powering. My cousin ordered the strawberry margaritas (she said it was good) and the fish and chips. She said the fish tasted okay and that the fish crust was not crunchy enough and kind of soggy. She chose to take the remainder home to put in air fryer just a little longer. Spent $119 (which is not bad, if the food was great/good) I only ate one crab cake, a couple of fries and a couple of spoons of the mac and shrooms. The guy taking our plates couldn't believe I didn't want a to go box. The atmosphere and cocktails was nice. The next time I'm in Long Beach, I may try their happy hour, but I'm good on the food.

Food was a big disappointment. It looked good, but it didn’t taste at all.. halibut was very dry and NO flavor at all! . Superfood bowl no flavor/taste whatsoever. Steak sauce was very flavorful, but unfortunately couldn’t chew through that piece of meat.. Very disappointed.. Calamari was the only tasty food.

**TIP** READ THE YELP REVIEWS Let me just say the hostess was incredibly accommodating and helpful! The rest of the staff not so much… We sat down and tried to order drinks. My partner has one of those new CA IDs that look a little odd but are valid nonetheless The waiter tried folding it ??? and really inspected it. My partner mentioned it was one of the new IDs, the waiter ignored my partner. As he continued inspecting, my partner asked if everything was good and again the waiter ignored him. The waiter left and had someone else come over to the table. This .. I’m assuming manager came over and gave us some B.S. that they seemed to have forgotten our drink order in the 2 minutes since the waiter stepped away……… We gave our order again and again they asked for our IDs and AGAIN inspected my partner’s ID intently No apology, no explanation, we were more than cooperative but I would’ve preferred they have been AT LEAST straightforward. Needless to say we did not stay and left immediately We’re damn near 30! Yet they treated us like teenagers trying to buy alcohol ??? If you’re young or look young don’t come here, they cater to older clientele…
