Nicks is amazing, always the freshest ingredients, fast service, amazing staff, a great family environment and the prices are very good….
This pizza was amazing, although we only ordered a cheese pizza with extra cheese it was so good. And the garlic bread with cheese was so soft and crunchy like good garlic bread should be. And leftover pizza the next day was even better. This place hits home when you want authentic pizza. Definitely recommend 10/10
Nick’s Pizza isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a rite of passage for anyone who attended Apple Valley High School. With AVHS right across the street, generations of Sun Devils have come through this place for decades, especially before the big football games. It’s part of the Apple Valley High School experience. What’s even better? The pizza today is just as good as it was 40 years ago. Same great flavor, same tradition, same hometown feeling every time you walk in. Thank you, Nick’s Pizza, for being a long-standing part of our community and our Sun Devil memories. Go Sun Devils! 🧡💛🍕 And thank you, Nick’s Pizza!
I love the ladies at the front. And staff all around are wonderful and hard working. Food is amazing. Love the salad bar just wish the togo container were lil better for the price. Other them that 100% recommendation
BEST PIZZA EVER! I eat here with my work crew at and I also most importantly bring my family! Nothing better than the atmosphere and home feeling! Been eating here since I was 10 years old and I’ll continue as long as I can.
I went in as a delivery driver today and it was such a beautiful and warm atmosphere at Nick’s. The staff was sooo friendly and I was provided with something I needed to satisfy the customer on both ends (yours and mine) no questions asked. I will definitely be driving 30 minutes across town to eat here simply based off the service alone. Thank you so much for being kind. The pizza looks soooo yummy and I can’t wait to try it.
I have been going to Nick's Pizza since I was a kid and it is the best pizza I've ever had! Even though I moved out of California ten years ago I still make sure to come visit anytime I am in town. Nancy and Patty are truly the root and heart of this place they are incredible at what they do and they always make my family feel loved and welcome! If you come to eat here always make sure to get the Nick sticks they are incredible! Even though the high desert has changed a lot in the past forty years this gem will always be the same- comfortable, friendly, delicious hometown pizza!!
Ok got the nicks special no olives it was really good 👌 inside was nice but could use some more TVs but it's old school pizza parlor style. More on the pizza crust was amazing sauce was tasty plenty of toppings. That's all you need to know
Nick’s Pizza is absolutely outstanding, and I can’t say enough good things about them. Every order I’ve ever placed has been perfect—always hot, always fresh, and always on time. Their consistency and professionalism set them apart from so many other places. What I really appreciate is their reliability. I often order food not just for myself, but for all of my guys at Big Apple Automotive, and Nick’s never lets us down. When you’re feeding a whole team, it matters that the food arrives on time and exactly as ordered—and Nick’s has earned my complete trust in that regard. The customer service is also top-notch. Whenever I call, they pick up right away, take my order politely, and always get it right. The staff is friendly, attentive, and treats me like a valued customer every time. It feels good supporting a place that clearly cares about the people they serve. And of course, the food speaks for itself. The pizza is packed with flavor, the ingredients taste fresh, and everything—from the crust to the toppings—is consistently delicious. Whether it’s for a quick lunch, a family meal, or a large order for my team, Nick’s delivers quality without compromise. Nick’s Pizza is exactly what a neighborhood pizza spot should be: dependable, friendly, and absolutely delicious. I’ll continue to order from them for myself and my crew, and I’ll continue to recommend them to anyone looking for the best pizza in town.
Very Clean as I walked in. Didn't know they had a salad bar setup. I have to try eating there one time to experience it. Salad bar looked good. Would definitely come back here again.
The lady's that work there are awesome. They always come check how you're doing and service was pretty fast the day I went to dine in. Pizza taste great, it reminded me of Shakey's pizza. Thick, fluffy, cheesy 🍕. I also got the cheeseburger calzon and it taste similar to in and out because of the 1000 island sauce.
First time ordering from Nick's Pizzeria. Can't say it tasted bad, but it did not meet my expectations after reading other reviews. For me, it fell flat at the sauce. Although it had flavor, I couldn't discern a garlic or Italian flavor, which is something I come to expect. The cheese was abundant, and the pepperoni was tasty and crispy. We also had an Alfredo pizza, which also fell flat on flavor. Chicken was OK, and the crust crispy. Overall, next time, if there is a next time, I would try a sandwich, not the pizza.
Hubby has been going here since the first location was open. This was my first time. We had the calzone and (medium)cheese sticks. So so good! Like enough for 2 meals each! My one complaint was the bathroom. It's like all the good pizza smells went in there to die! Oy. Also the decor is very outdated but reminds me of other chain pizza places when I was a kid.
We ordered Nick's pizza, Roundup is our favorite the service was great the pizza was good lots and lots of cheese on it and lots of good toppings but the crust is weird it's like it's wheat with ground seeds or something like that I didn't like it at all. Why did they change it???
If you order a pizza I would suggest you ask for light cheese. My kids couldn’t even hold the pizza up without the weight of the cheese flopping it all over their plates. Pizza tasted great otherwise. Servers seemed overwhelmed when they only had 6 booths or tables to tend towards. Atmosphere needs a little help especially the kids area.
I rarely write reviews, but I need to document this. As someone who loves to cook, I hate going out and paying a premium for food that I could make better at home. Unfortunately, Nick’s Pizza just confirmed why I usually prefer my own kitchen. We started with the "Nick’s Sticks" because of the hype, but they were a letdown. While the crust itself was good, the topping just tasted like "cheese fat" on butter. There was no real flavor profile or identity—just grease. The "Nick's Special" pizza was the biggest disappointment. To me, a pizza needs sauce—enough that you can actually see it when you lift the cheese. That wasn't the case here; it was extremely dry. Stranger still, they put raw bell peppers on top of the cooked toppings, so when I picked up a slice, the peppers and mushrooms just tumbled off. The crust had a nice stiffness, but the meats were bland. The pepperoni had zero spice, and the other meats lacked flavor entirely. We also tried the meatball grinder, which was completely flavorless. I don't need to say more than that. The only saving grace was the wings—crispy with the sauce baked on perfectly. But honestly? I hate to say it, but for the price and flavor, Little Caesars beats this. I regret spending the money here.
I used to like this place. I called to order pizza for pickup. A lady answered and put me on hold for a bit. When she was taking my order she didnt know that nicks had a nicks white pizza. 3 times I had to tell her she did. Then I started naming the ingredients off my head of what it was and she said I know what it is now. I told her importantly about sauce. This is key to the story. I picked up the pizza and they told me to look. It looked ok but the white pizza seemed off however its not the pizza I usually get for myself. It was for family back at home. When i got home, everyone did have a slice of the white pizza because the cheese looked off. It was slathered with cheese. Immediately upon bitting it, it was gross. No sauce what so ever. The next pizza barely any sauce, and it tasted meh. Barely any flavor. I called and talked to Manager Patty. I told her of the problem and was told the lady talking on the phone was new. I told the lady she got my order wrong because I wanted sauce and specifically mentioned it. One pizza had none and the other very little. As the conversation kept going on about how it was my fault, I said i wanted a refund. She told me no repeadtly. She gave me no other options like we can remake it for you. She protected the mistake of the new hire and made me the customer feel like crap. The manager made a big deal that I looked at the pizza when I was there. So PSA Take a BITE of your pizza and fully inspect it. Also pizza was lukewarm at best. Ill never go here again. My days of this pizza are over. Im going elsewhere. I did not name the new worker as its a mistake but Patty is not nice.
My family dinner tonight from this restaurant was absolutely horrible and extremely disappointing. Let’s start with the crust as you can see is burned, dry and extremely hard. Very little cheese and in some spots none at all. The sauce was cooked down in the crust. These 3 pizzas have a very thin layer of cheese, burned, over cooked and dry dough. Only half of each slice was partially ok. I ordered 3 large pizzas that costed me $76.00 what a waste This is a picture of 1 of the 3 large pizzas I called to complain and that too was a complete waste of time. This restaurant lost my family business
Ordered a well done Alfredo pizza with artichokes added . Also asked for it to be well done but the pizza cant even be eaten due to all the toppings just sliding off onto the plate as soon as you pick it up . For the price this pizza should be perfect and made in a way that can be actually eaten. They couldnt even bother to slice the onions correctly. I have literally slabs of onion . WORST PIZZA I HAVE EVER HAD!! Ordering from Dominos would have been a better choice!!
If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I tried to give the place a chance the buffet was cold pizza is so soggy paid $30 for nothing. Came back ordered a custom large pizza and wings.. I got there early made me wait 5-10 minutes I got home and the pizza was soggy and cold had to reward it up. Started to eat the wings and they were not even warm. I called and they could do was 10% off my next order. $2.50 off my next order? I would not recommend at all. $50 down the drain.
