Love Cracker Barrel. Burger 🍔 was good and Mac and cheese was yummy. Hubby had shepherd pie. He loved it. Wish they were closer to my home.

Their pancakes are a sweet nostalgia! Reminded me of pancakes that I used to make with my mom. Oh and the pure maple syrup that comes in these little cute bottles make the dining experience so quaint. Friendly staff, high ceilings which makes the room less noisy when crowded, and reasonably priced menu. Will definitely go back. And as an extra experience, they have a fancy gift shop and store if you want to buy items for yourself or a friend, or simply be reminded of summers, holidays and sweet vacations by the beach. This place makes you feel good. 😊💕

Delicious food here, everyone that knows what Cracker Barrel is will tell you to get their breakfast. It doesn't matter what time you go, just get the breakfast! There is usually a long wait but there's room to wait outside and sit. They'll take your number and text you to let you know when your table is ready. Very friendly service and the prices are great as well

I always like the Cracker Barrel, love the country store too. Wouldn't say the food is five star, but I have always had pleasant service, delicious pancakes and eggs, chicken and dumplings and their desserts are pretty darn good. Love the country settings for most of their places. Had pancakes for dinner here on my last visit, they warm your syrup for you. They bring blueberry syrup if you get blueberry pancakes. Sorry no food pics, I was so hungry had a six hour ride home.

I've been here a handful of times and I haven't had any issues. Their food feels home-cooked every time 👌🏽 The fried steak, fried chicken and fried turkey during the holidays are my go-to's!

Very nice dinner with family. I ordered the Old Fashioned Dinner. Chose Vegetable Platter. You choose 4 sides to make the meal. I chose side salad, steamed broccoli, seasonal fruit and pinto beans. Food was good. Portions were just right. Waitress was excellent. Enjoyed browsing in the Country Store and we even bought a few things. Unique selection of items that make great gifts.

I just love this Cracker Barrel. Facility is always clean & we r always greeted warmly! Love the country store! I want to give a shout out to our server last night 7/30/2025 Ellen’s R-,she was kind, attentive, personable! Just lovely! She is a great example of customer care! Our meals were tasty and affordable! Can’t wait to go back!

This was my first time at this restaurant with my family. We loved all the food. Denise took care of us and gave us excellent service. Also the hostess was great to us. Everyone was very friendly and had a smile on their face. We will definitely come back.

I’m a southerner who was lured up North for work and I miss my creature comforts. I cannot say enough good things about this location! We’ve been several times and the waitstaff is always incredibly kind and the service is fast. While I know it’s not a typical staple restaurant up here, I am grateful the locals are very accepting to the themes of it, and when I miss home it’s worth the drive to get to visit once in awhile instead of the 9 hours back home.

This place is great! The food is always good and an excellent deal for the prices. Servers are friendly and food arrives at a good pace and piping hot. Breakfast is served all day too. I love seeing a family at a table with Dad having steak and potatoes and the kids happliy eating pancakes. Perfect place for families. The attached country store is awesome! Primarily Christmas themed but there is a little bit of everything including other seasonal decorations like Easter, Halloween ect. They have tons of candy, even novelty sweets like 10 pound candy bars and lollipops the size of a softball. They have quilts, pillows and candles. Adult and children's clothing like sweatshirts, sweaters and glove and scarf sets. They have kitchenwares and prepared dry mixes for sale like; biscuits, pancakes and brownies. Tons of Christmas decorations! A lot to browse through! Most the prices are reasonable but everytime I'm there I see signs for 25% off or even 40% iff certain sections. I imagine if you have a country store near by, you could really rack up some great deals for holiday gifts and decorations by checking back regularly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Last night we had picked up a bunch of candy that was marked 2/$5. When we got to the register they all rang up $3. We asked about the sale price and they informed us the sale had ended the day before but they would honor the price since they forgot to take the signs down. That's the right way to do business but many places won't do that anymore. Kudos for a quality place to eat and shop with reasonable prices!

We always stop here on our way to PA. Service is good, food is hot and delicious. Store always has fun stuff and staff is courteous. Personal preference- do not like the big nose ring in my serving staff. Does not affect their service, but it's hard not to notice.

The pancakes…. My lord. I’ve been hearing about this place for years and it lived up to all the hype and surpassed it. The Americana gift shop portion is okay and all but if you’re coming here, make sure you’re getting grub. The loaded tots were also phenomenal.

After a full hour wait on a busy Sunday at 10am, our server, Ellena R., totally turned around our experience. She extremely quickly made our table, and brought drinks and biscuits which helped our growing hunger. She even made great suggestions like to mix the new Wild Berry Tea with lemonade, which was delicious. She was so attentive and seemed to be refilling our coffee (and biscuits!) exactly before we needed more. Her upbeat attitude and kindness was so impressive considering how busy and packed the place was. We'll definitely be requesting her next time!

We came at 8pm with a party of 9 and were greeted & seated promptly. Service was excellent and food was delicious and they weren’t out of the meatloaf which many times they are, so we were happy! One thing was that we were only given biscuits and not cornbread. Our server was attentive and took very good care of us!

I have had a pot roast. The beef was extremely tasty and roasted to perfection. Mash potato was well blended and textured, and tasted silky. Veggies – celery and carrots were fresh and tasted like a vegetable. Sauce were very tasteful and just enough and didn’t took over the other portions- had enough for every bite. Scones were baked fresh. I have had two vanilla latte were perfect without any sugar. Coffee tastes like normal coffee and not like a sour liquid.

Quick comfort food for our family of 5. Wife had the southern fried chicken it was seasoned very well. Kids ordered from the kids menu but ate all our sides. I had the steak and the hamburger steak so I had 5 sides between the two entrees. Here’s a pro-tip. My son put the fried apples in between a split biscuit and he loved it! We had to wait 15 minutes but there is some much to look at in the country store the time flew by. Great road trip stop.

I haven't been to a Cracker Barrel since I was a kid. My husband had never been to one. We headed out for lunch. We had an amazing waiter, a super helpful hostess and the food was delicious. I had fried chicken and chicken dumplings and my husband had the fried fish and shrimp with green beans. We both loved the green beans, they were cooked like our grandma's made them - smoky and flavorful. I had the new spring cherry lemonade- delicious. Everything came out super quick and was cooked perfectly. We bought some nostalgic candy and got some new sodas in the gift shop. The gift shop manager was so friendly and signed me up for rewards so that we would get a free appetizer when we come back. Awesome experience and wish I hadn't waited so long to go back!!

This place was excellent to go for brunch with an old friend and his family including their little man aged 2. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating especially of the little one. They even brought one of the stuffed toys from the shop to keep him happy when he didn't want to stay in his seat! Food was great - highly recommend the sourdough French toast, really good. And the caramel latte was also excellent!

***update 12/17/2021 No more stupid masks or stupid lockdowns. Come inside and eat like normal human beings. Food was super delicious. Service was very fast, seated immediately, service was also super friendly and our waitress checked back on us multiple times. Burger was big and very yummy! Fries were perfect too! Iced tea was a bit bland, but still good. Would like to see raspberry or strawberry tea as options. ***Update 6/21/2020 Went here during the crazy corona lockdowns. Mask required entry. No eating inside. Employees were friendly and helped us immediately. No wait. Food was yummy! Drinks were great! Prices were good. Restrooms are open. Would be nice to eat outside with picnick tables, but the manager said the town prohibits indoor and outdoor dinning. Very rediculous! End of update**** Very yummy! Seated immediately, no wait.chicken, corn, mashed potatoes and apple dumplin for dessert. Plenty of parking. Free parking. Good drink selection. Friendly employees. Lots of tables. Awesome decorations. Really awesome gift shop/country store! The only 2 problems i had: 1. My side of the table was sticky! Lucky for me, i always bring extra Chick fil-a hand wipes, so i was able to clean my table. 2. When we got our food, we each had only 1 napkin (wrapped tightly on the silverware). After eating some yummy fried chicken, my hands were understandably greasy and my 1 and only napkin was already soaked.. so it would be nice to have either a napkin dispenser on each table or give out a good stack of napkins, especially to customers ordering finger foods like chicken. Even better would be to give out hand wipes like Chick-fil-a does, so you really get your hands clean instead of just dry.

It was busy, so we waited by the rocking chairs outside. Food is what you expect, I liked it a lot. Our waitress forgot the biscuits and messed up an order, but was resolved pretty quick. Very family oriented. Fast forward to 5 years later at 2024: It was basically the same. Our waitress messed up a drink order, but not too bad.

This breakfast outing did not disappoint. First, our server “Adriana B” was absolutely one of the best servers at this location. Greeted us with a beautiful smile and was very attentive. It was crowded and loud. She spoke loudly and clearly. After taking our order, she returned with biscuits while we were waiting for our breakfast. How wonderful and thoughtful was this. If only there were more servers as Adriana B - very special person. Our breakfast was served hot and delicious.

Great hostess gave our party of 6 the best table in the house...a nice round table so we'd face each other instead of craving our necks to see people at the end of a straight table. Perfect advice!

I stopped by Cracker Barrel for breakfast and had such a great experience! The food was delicious and full of that comforting homemade flavor. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Stopped in at the Mount Arlington Cracker Barrel and tried the Sausage n’ Egg Hashbrown Casserole — absolutely delicious. It came hot in a skillet, loaded with hashbrown casserole, scrambled eggs, sausage, melted cheese, and topped with crispy onions, tomatoes, and green onions. The portion was generous and hearty, and it came with fluffy biscuits on the side. Service from Sam H. was friendly and quick, and my coffee was always topped off. The atmosphere was classic Cracker Barrel — cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed meal. Definitely recommend this dish if you’re looking for a filling and flavorful breakfast or brunch option.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store never disappoints! Their fried chicken and grilled chicken are mouthwateringly delicious - crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Plus, their unique accessories and authentic clothes add a charming touch to the dining experience. My all time favorite restaurant for breakfast. I had breakfast at the Arlington location this morning and I wasn’t disappointed even though I waited almost 40 mins to get seated. However, everything I ordered was in good taste. Especially the signature apple dumpling dessert. Yummy goodness!!! My waiter, Tyler was very friendly and attentive. LONG wait time - over 1 hour on a Sunday afternoon, so plan accordingly. Despite the long wait times, Cracker Barrel’s food is delicious as always. You always know what to expect. Their food is cheap but never lacking in flavor or quality.

C'mon it's Cracker Barrel. You know you are getting good southern cooking, big portions and it's not going to break the bank. There is a good chance you'll have to wait for a table and if you have to, you can pass the time by strolling through the country store or sit outside and rock away on one of the many rocking chairs.

I ordered the Breakfast Benny, and I enjoyed the flavors very much! My partner had never been to a Cracker Barrel, so it was interesting to see it through her eyes as a first-timer. We arrived early on Sunday and dis not have to wait for a table. By the time we left, the restaurant was pretty full, and it was difficult to maneuver through the old country store in places. I thought the service left a lot to be desired, and our server never checked on us. Also, their Hashbrown Casserole is what's missing in your life!

Very crowded tonight. Wait was about 20 minutes for 3. Someone took our table when called and we had to wait again. Hostess did get us in faster the second time. Foos was very good but my baked potato was undercooked. We ordered water and all 3 tasted like soda, waitress was very nice and brought us new ones which tastes fine. Still recommend but tonight was not the best experience there. Fun atmosphere decorate with antiques on the wall. Store is enjoyable to look around while waiting

A great stop for a meal on road trips. You know what to expect, you have a wide selection, and it will be much the same as the last one you stopped at. Consistently good comfort food. Rest and recharge for the next leg of your journey.

My sister and I had a great experience everyone was friendly . It was easy to find signs of road and highway. Parking was easy . They do have handicap parking and wheelchair access. There is a small store in the front and towards the back is the restaurant . We had to wait to be seated. That did take a few minutes. I think they may have been short staff. Our server was Paige and she was excellent . The food was delicious and a lot so we took some home . We even stay around and bought a few items at the store.

We have always loved the old rustic cabin-like atmosphere and all of the old signs and antiques all over the restaurant and store, and the staff and food have always been good. We hope this location stays that way and doesn’t do the total renovations (or menu changes) that other CB’s have done in 2025 as it just wouldn’t be the same experience. Only complaints are that once recently we asked for a table just two rows over and in the same section so we could not be so close to others already seated and was told we couldn’t because no server would serve us so we left which is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, and the food is usually in fairly generous portions but the last time we ate it was less so.

A
Anna

My go-to place in NJ when I want to eat southern food. My favorite side choice is fried okra and I like their cornbread. Usually get country fried steak, meatloaf, chicken n’ dumplins, fried chicken, or sugar cured ham as the main dish. The restaurant decor is fun and the staff takes care of you. Also, it's fun to browse the country store.

Food was great. Our hostess was terrific. We We were in our Scout uniforms so she took a moment to thank us for what we do to suport our youth. We ordered pancakes and they were perfect. I also love their biscuits. I gave 5 stars for all the sub categories but the reason I gave 4 stars overall was that the restroom was not kept up to par. The toilets were mistreated by patrons and no one was in there to clean up.

Was in there area and stopped in for breakfast. Pancakes not very good, very dense not fluffy. Eggs were good. Our server Jeannie was a sweetheart. If you go out to eat and the food isn't great but the service is, don't hurt your server with a bad tip for the kitchen staffs shortcomings. Had lunch here in the past was pretty good but breakfast was not great.

Shiv Tej Celumula

Ambience was eclectic. Staff were very attentive and sweet. Coming to food, it doesn’t have lot of varieties, but only authentic country style ones and limited. Compared to other breakfast or brunch places it wasn’t that great. Prices were less too. Overall it was good experience.

My partner and I enjoy stopping at Cracker Barrel's when traveling or at home. The closest establishment is about 45 minutes located in Mount Arlington which we haven’t visited in a couple of years and finally came tonight for dinner with no wait for a table. It’s a favorite restaurant for patrons who love homestyle comfort food with a country experience visually taking in the antiques hanging on the walls. It’s also a fun place to shop for toys, clothing, snacks, and more. We sat by their huge fireplace which was burning and made the dining room much more inviting and warm. Our server was Tania and newly hired. The menu offers a lot of food choices from all day breakfast to dinner. Complimentary corn muffins and biscuits started our meal. We ordered tonight’s special - Friday Fish Fry with four cod fillets hand-dipped in batter and fried with 2 helping sides of macaroni & cheese and Chicken Fried Chicken topped with Sawmill Gravy with 3 sides (vegetable soup, baby carrots and corn). The food came out warm, tasty, well seasoned and the portions were huge. The batter and the gravy they use on the chicken is the best. However the food at this particular location could be hit or miss depending on how busy it is. All in all, we had a wonderful meal and left with full stomach which we can recommend.

I usually don’t have an issue with Cracker Barrel, but this is the first time that I’ve ordered fish and have been absolutely disappointed. If I wasn’t too tired to drive back, I would’ve. The two pieces of fish I was supposed to get was disappointing. It was like they took one piece of fish and cut it in half. Not sure what happened on this occasion, but may be guarded to order again.

My first time visiting Cracker Barrel (2/13/18) was on an outing with my job. I can honestly say that I enjoyed myself here. We had a bit of a wait due to our server serving and still needing to bus our table, I wondered if they didn't have busboys who could've assisted in the clean up. My server seemed flustered and a little impatient, although very kind and polite. The sweet tea was my favorite as it reminded me of my youth in Maryland. The food was good although I simply got the fried catfish. The store portion is adorable! I'd say just a smidge over priced for certain things, but overall nice. I gave 3 stars because this was my first time going and I didn't really get to experience what so many people have talked about, so that just means I'll have to visit again and give another update!

dining area, food, waitress was lovely! However when I went to pay the bill, the cashier, Lynn had an attitude problem with added sarcasm. All because I asked her not to ring something up yet and I did not specify I was paying partially with a gift card so she replied oh you didn’t tell me. It was a gift card now I have to do it all over again with sarcasm.

It seems over the years that the quality of food and service has dropped. We were a party of six. We were told that one section of the restaurant was closed that could accommodate us. So we were place at a table that would be normally for four people. When the food came out there was no room to place the food. I have been a customer of Cracker Barrel for a long time and the service and quality was excellent

I was very surprised with my experience here. I thought it would be better than the previous times. It took a while to have someone come over to our table and acknowledge we were there. A near 40 minute process to sit down, get a beverage and receive food. Not terrible, but it definitely felt dragged out. Two tables near us had finished their meals and left. It took over 10 minutes for their dishes to be cleared off. Kinda gross to sit there and be surrounded by dirty tables with dishes piled up. I don't blame the staff at all, there has to be more to the situation, as this isn't the first time I've experienced these issues when choosing to dine at this Cracker Barrel. The staff definitely seemed to be doing their best but maybe some changes need to be made to provide a better experience for guests? The food was good. Not as good as it was once upon a time, but that could be said for a lot of places. I hope to have a better visit next time.

The menu is terrible. If you like to eat healthy there are not any options. I get Cracker Barrel is not about healthy, but if there are no other options around & you're with other people you sometimes don't have a choice. Terrible menu

Ok Basic food and less than comfortable atmosphere. The place was freezing cold inside, and when the food finally came out it wasn’t much warmer. Cold hard mash potatoes cold hard broccoli and cheddar. Uncomfortable sitting chairs and dirty tables and utensils. The chicken fried chicken was amazing though. This was not worth all the hype.

I was disappointed by my breakfast here, but the atmosphere is great and the rest of the menu looks promising. I had the French Toast and unfortunately, it wasn't great. The bread used was pretty thin and flavorless. I had a side of eggs and sausage and that was pretty basic, but I guess I can't expect too much fun these extra sides, although the sausage was disappointingly small. Lastly, the cinnamon latte tasted just like a normal latte sadly. The store served as a nice way to pass the time as there was a 45 minute wait on a Saturday morning.

Stopped at my favorite, but the food was just ok. I'm not sure why, but it wasn't bad. Also purchased some clothing items. The guy cashier was not trained to properly fold and bag items. Almost returned it, but the wife wanted it. Hopefully, small things will be addressed.

I normally don't write reviews but I'm so disappointed I had to. I used to love Cracker Barrel. It's been a while since I visited but I ate here today and the food was not good. It took over half an hour for our food to come to us after we ordered (the restaurant wasn't even busy), and when it came it was cold. We could tell it had been sitting out. I ordered the rainbow trout but it tasted very rank and fishy, so I couldn't finish it. My mashed potatoes were nasty.. there's no other way to describe it. I tried to force myself to eat it but it was too bad so I only got one or two bites in then had to stop. My husband had the French toast and bacon, but the bacon tasted fishy so he couldn't finish that, and of course the French toast wasn't very good because it had been sitting out. Kids had chicken tenders that were dry. Only thing I enjoyed was the peach iced tea and the biscuits. Truly disappointed and will not be visiting again.

The atmosphere is cozy and feels like that of a family dinner. We went for breakfast, but the food was a letdown. It looked nothing like the photos; the pancakes were dull, the fries tasted store-bought and reheated, and the eggs were flavorless. Overall, the food was stale and disappointing.

Wanted catfish but they didn't have it. It’s on the menu. Decided on chicken strips. When they came out within 2 minutes I was skeptical. Sure enough they were like rubber. Not sure how long they were sitting under the heat lights. Waiter, Joe, was great! He ordered a fresh batch. Of course, I had to wait for the fresh ones. However, my sides were getting cold. Chicken fingers were ok. I didn't eat the cold sides. Once I got to the register I ask for the manager. I explained my experience. She was very nice. She gave me a discount on my bill. After numerous failed attempts to use my gift card, she had to write the information down so I wouldn’t have to wait any longer. I was only 1 month post hip replacement. I’m sorry to say it was a disappointing experience.

It’s always my to go place for Cracker Barrel whenever I see it on my way or if we are close by for some business. But this location didn’t meet up the expectation just because of the service. I usually never hurt business being a verified google reviewer. The service was really very rude, and disappointing. But never again at this location. Food is never a complain for me with this franchise. Their food is extremely satisfying and overwhelming. ❤️

I hate to say this because I know working in restaurants is difficult, but I must bring my experience to someone's attention. Long story short, service in this location was simply non-existent. I sat at 8:42 pm and sat. And sat. I waved at a waitress, and nothing. Finally, at 9:12 pm, someone stopped and asked if I had been helped...this was after I got up and asked the two young men at the host stand for help. I finally placed my order and asked for water because I was thirsty. Another 15 minutes passed, and a friendly older lady waitress asked if I was okay...I said I was so thirsty. She brought me water right away. My food came out around 9:30 pm. Overall, it was average Cracker Barrel fare, not the best, but not awful. The presentation was awful and sloppy. The meatloaf and carrots were just cold. The chicken and dumplings were a watery mess (video below). The biscuits, fried chicken, and hashbrown casserole were the only items that tasted well-cooked and ready to serve. I wanted to mention this to my waitress but felt if I did, I would sit and wait for who knows how long. Cracker Barrel is a restaurant that is supposed to feel like a comfy visit to a home, to grandma's house...this felt like I was visiting a bad airport cafeteria or high school. It seems my issues are expected at this location, and I hope these notes are seen and taken seriously. You do not want one location to ruin the legacy of a brand, but this location is doing just that. Whoever is in charge...I write this review with care and honesty, hoping you understand there is no ill will but hope to bring this location up to the standards it deserves.

We had had food at Cracker Barrel so many times, it’s our usual stop when returning from a roadtrip. This time the whole experience was horrible and salty. We ordered spicy catfish with 2 sides, my husband ordered steak and shrimp combo with 2 sides, and 2 cups of coffee to start with. Coffee tasted like mud water no taste at all, it literally felt like chugging dirty water. We had to ask for the biscuits several times. The steak entree was super salty and very chewy. The fish was similar very salty and oily. We didn’t finish our meal as it was really bad!! I should have taken a photo of what we did not eat. I was extremely disappointed!!!

I was hoping for a better food experience after seeing this meal all over billboards. Needless to say it was really sweet (even more with strawberry sauce) and there was no whipped cream. Overall I would say the flavor was decent. Maybe the locations near the West are better however I will pass on any future orders.

I ordered the "Honey butter" fried chicken and there was barely any honey butter on the chicken, the breading is very thick and doughy not very good, the taste of the chicken was okay but the taste of old cooking oil over powered everything. It wasn't that great. I wouldn't recommend any fried chicken from here.

The night seemed slow, the place was almost empty. Seated right away. Food took a long time to arrive after we’d ordered. The medium and the medium well steaks were cooked beyond well done, dry. Steam Broccoli was raw like salad, hard. The chicken was dry, like leftover. The fully loaded potato had only sour cream & cheese. This is the first time we were disappointed with any Cracker Barrel.

What a big difference this restaurant has made. Food was tasteless and cold. Platter was served the plate was huge with shards of the food seriously if portion control was what I was looking for .... I got it. Holy Jumping Jesus. I did shop in the store and got some pretty good stuff. Probably my last time I will ever go. Plus they changed the recipe for hash browns yuck 🤮

*preface* Our server was not the problem. He was very nice. But he was so busy that he barely had time to breathe. Seems like they were short staffed. Took 30 minutes to get drinks. Again, I don't blame the server at all. Management should have stepped in to help with how busy they were. They were out of items. Everything we ordered came out at the same time. Food was way oversalty. Tried the soup, it was a mush and unappealing to even look at. Gravy and tartar sauces were chunky and stiff. Kids applesauce came in a plastic package. Overall was disappointing and we won't be back.

If you have 3 hours to spare to go out to eat then this Crackerbarrel in Mt Arlington is your place to go! Texted website for waiting list. Text received said 30-45 minutes. Arrived to host table in our timeframe of 45 minutes. Hostess said the wait was another another 30-45 more minutes. Finally get seated. We wait at the table for 20 minutes with no waitress/waiter. Another waitress sees us just sitting there and she said she will get our drinks. Our waitress finally appears after 15 minutes. We order, food comes in a timely manner. Food OK. We finish food. Now we wait another 20 minutes to see if we want dessert. I just asked for the check. With all the waiting we did notice all the dust on the wall slats and wall decor. Now waiting to pay at the counter. The employee at counter asked the lady in front of us who was paying her check of how everything was. I chuckled when she told the guy she was not fine cause she spent the whole day here.

Won't be back. Food was cold, upcharge for loaded hash browns was a small scoop, coffee was never topped off or asked if more was wanted. Never were checked on until after we had all finished our cold food.

I really don't know where to start but we always use to stop here when heading to the Poconos on family trips. On sat morning 08/02/2025 we arrived at 8:40 and we were sat in about 5 minutes we placed our order about 15 minutes afterwards and the waitress had brought our drinks and we patiently waited at 10 am our waitress informed us the kitchen lost our order and we could leave or wait longer. We never actually received any food so i asked for the check for the drinks as we had a schedule to keep. She was very nice and said she was sorry and the drinks were no charge. I insisted on paying but she refused. I understand mistakes happen but for over an hour and fifteen minutes nobody checked on our order and with the kitchen. We did leave a tip for the waitress as it wasn't her fault the kitchen dropped the paper order on the floor supposedly. The most annoying part was having to go get something to eat elsewhere when we already wasted all of our time here. So i will say they need better system in place this isnt the first time we had an issue at a cracker barrel with orders last time the waitress only put in 3 of the 5 orders and it was a different state and location.

After driving at least over an hour to get here which feels like from one side of NJ to the other because there isn't one in our area this was absolutely the worst experience I've had with this place. Never before have I had a problem, guess there's a first time for everything but today was TERRIBLE!. I usually only come for breakfast but decided to try their dinner meals. I ordered the grilled pork chop dinner my wife had the chicken strips and it was the pits!. Dry! like eating card board! No seasoning! POOR plate presentation! Luke warm! Chicken strips fried to hard to eat. Not at ALL what I was expecting!. Really poor quality. 😒 The best thing I had was the biscuits and fried apples. None of the sides where placed in bowls just thrown and scattered all over the plate not even in a full serving had to ask for extra sides everyone around us sides order came out in bowls. After discussing with the waitress about our disappointment she spoke with the manager and said that it would be taken care of and that we could leave. On top of all this it was my wife's birthday weekend and that's where she wanted to go eat and it was VERY DISAPPOINTING. Will ONLY stick to the breakfasts.

The manager of this location is extremely rude and not accommodating to disabled persons. She lacks common sense; and, even had the audacity to raise her voice when the disabled patrons asked to be seated prior to their entire party arriving. The restaurant was nearly empty and common sense dictates that the manager could have easily sat these ladies at their own table and seated the other disabled patrons near them when they arrived ( literally moments later) Instead, she reprimanded and said, “I know how to do my job!” And the award for worst Cracker Barrel manager goes to the Mount Arlington location. On a separate note, our wait staff Sebastian was top notch!

I’ve been to some great Cracker Barrel’s in Georgia, but this did not fit the standard I experienced in the past. I don’t know how this place has so many high ratings. Service was so slow and it was like a game of hide and seek with the waitress and the managers. We were told that we’d receive some bread and biscuits to eat in the meantime and they ended up coming out with our (late) food. We waited over an hour for our food and it wasn’t even that good. I got the sampler platter and they quite literally gave me a sample of breakfast meat (a singular piece of bacon, a shriveled piece of ham, and a sausage that looked bitten.) Given the food delays and orders being messed up, we were told we’d be receiving a comp. We were comped $5….

Went to today at around 1 o'clock, and the food wasn't good. They brought half the food and then the other half 20 + minutes later. The bacon was extremely under cooked, the waitress was clue less, the shift manager Chris tried her best to make us happy but it was a major kitchen issue. The pancake syrup is half corn syrup, so gross. Very disappointing since we had such fond memories of this brand.

I did not have to wait long but the service was awful lady had 3 stars named like Arabella or something like that she brought us our drinks and we got biscuits and gravy that was brought out we ordered our food then waited an hour and 15 mins before complaining that we didn't get our food yet while tables around us that were sat after us got there food ate and left in that time.. we asked to talk to a manager none was brought to our table but our food came our within 5 mins of that interaction but I got eggs in a basket the eggs were almost fully raw now this would not normally be too much of an issue i would eat around it but I am pregnant so this was a big nono mu husband's was also raw when we had ordered i had asked if I could substitute my hash browns with French toast she said no even though this is something other waitress have done for an up charge so I asked to switch it with chicken she said that would be an upcharage and I was fine with this when she brought out my food however there were hashbrowns on my plate and I told her I did not order them she said it came with it and I did not have the energy to argue further we have had bad experiences before but most were smoothed over by a manager replacing the bad food or taking it off the bill this was not and I am very unhappy

The portion is laughable. A chicken tender is the size of my pinky lol. I asked the manager (I didn’t really want extra food, wasnt that hungry actually) but here are order upon arrival photos…spoke with manager, tall slim older lady. According to her “yes, that is a tender”. The fries looked like someones leftovers and the mac and cheese was basically scooped with a teaspoon lol. That was $23.99. Just avoid. I will be reaching out to my credit card for recourse bc this should not be allowed.

Be careful with your orders. PAY attention. I go out of my way just to come here for the lemon pepper trout. Menu states 2 fillets. And the server proudly serves me one. We address it to the lady sitting guests down.. and the waiter comes over to me and asks what's wrong. I said there's one. And he proudly confirmed.. yes there is one. I stated the menu clearly states 2 fillets for the price. And I showed him the menu. He says oh and I give him the plate to take away to remake. It's bad enough the portions are getting cut into half.. the fillets used to be way bigger themselves and they're trying to cheat you out on a second fillet but still charge steeply for 2.
