Really solid choice for Indian. We got: -Gobi Manchurian -Chicken chili -Tandoori mixed grill (lamb kebab, tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, lamb chop) -Chana masala -Mixed bread basket with various dipping sauces (they brought this, don't know if we actually ordered it) Everything was so good! My husband said it was his favorite tandoori he's had in DFW. And this was the "final straw" that made me figure out how to do the chicken chili at home because I was inspired to replicate the goodness. The staff was really nice and very helpful with all the menu items that were unfamiliar to people in our party. And I definitely feel like the quality and portions were worth the price. I only wish I lived closer so I could come here more often.

Herbs has quickly become our favorite Indian food spot! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. The service is warm and attentive, making every visit a great experience. My personal favorite is the Tikka Masala — rich, creamy, and packed with authentic spice. The cucumber salad is also a must-have, so refreshing and the perfect balance to the main dishes. If you’re craving authentic Indian cuisine with amazing service, Herbs is the place to go. Highly recommend!

We went to try their buffet on the weekend. The place is very clean and the staff was very friendly. They have a decent selection of dishes. The vegetarian options are limited but I was happy with what they had. I really liked the daal soup, daal makhni and matar paneer. I would like to add that the bhindi was really really good. They also had some mixed vegetables. A good selection of pickles and chutnies. The mushroom pakoras were also nice. They gave us garlic naans for the table to go with the food. But there is also biryani in the buffet. For desert they had rice pudding and gajar ka halwa. I tried the halwa and it was good (not too sweet, just the way I like it). They don't have chai in the buffet but some of us ordered it and they liked it. Overall it was a very nice experience and the staff really made us feel comfortable.

The service here is excellent, kind staff that are very helpful. The food is excellent! Everything was delicious. Chicken Tikka Masala is what I ordered and it was amazing. Great location with plenty of parking. Whether you're already a fan of Indian food or you want to try something new, you'll love it here! The prices for the portions are an excellent value.

We finally tried Herbs Indian Restaurant & Bar after driving by for months, and we’re so glad we did! We went for the first time on Election Day after voting, and it was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy an incredible meal. Located in the old Jay and Jay Cafe spot on Little Rd., this place is a great addition to the area. While their buffet looked amazing, we decided to order off the menu, and every dish was cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, prices were very reasonable, and the service was friendly, prompt, and professional. We left feeling full and satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit. If you’re in S. Arlington and in the mood for delicious Indian cuisine, definitely give Herbs a try!

This is the same excellent Herbs that we went to in Hurst. The one in Hurst is still there, under new management. I preferred the food under the original management. So, here it is. Closer to Mansfield too. The one in Hurst is named “Herbs Indian Cuisine;” the one in Arlington is named “Herbs Indian Restaurant and Bar”. I already did a review of the one in Hurst. So, this review will sound repetitious. Although the name of the restaurant says Indian, it’s not true. It’s Nepalese. The staff wear shirts that confirm that. Nepal is a small country northeast of India, high up in the Himalayas. How does Nepalese food differ from Indian? One difference is that Nepalese food avoids cream or sugar. Another difference: Nepalese do not puree or mash their vegetables. They cut and stir-fry them, leaving a crunchy texture. I loved it. The spices weren't as strong as in Indian cuisine. It tastes more flavorful. Not as heavy either. I read there is no baking in Nepalese cuisine. Yet, the flatbread they served was fresh and delicious. My wife and I dined there with another couple. We all had the lunch buffet. Everything tasted so good. This must be the best-value Indian-style buffet in town. The staff are the nicest you’ll find anywhere. The one in Hurst is popular. This one in Arlington deserves more customers. It’s just a matter of time. My wife and I recommend it highly. Try it!

I had a wonderful dining experience at Herb Indian Restaurant! The Chicken Tikka was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The Chow Mein was a surprising and delicious fusion dish, full of vibrant flavors and perfectly cooked noodles. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made it a great place to enjoy a meal. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing food and a cozy vibe!

Hot. Fresh. Tasty! First time trying this place, and it was great! We enjoyed the chicken biryani, chicken Tikka masala, garlic Naan, Gobi Manchuria, and samosas. More than enough food for a couple of leftover meals. We were blessed with a piece of chocolate cake, as it was the owners birthday! These folks are so sweet!!

Bikey was super nice and helpful on suggestions. The Dum Ki Chicken Biryani was on the spicy side, but outstanding. The garlic naan was really good and fresh. The tandoori mixed grill was excellent as well to try a little bit of their meats they offer. The lamb was so tender. Everything tasted fresh and made to order - super hot when it came out. Again, Bikey was super nice. I will come back to try their lunch buffet.

Lunch for two at try their buffet was great! We have a couple favorite Indian restaurants in Arlington and we wanted to this one due to location and reviews. it was great. Service was the best I have had at a buffet of any kind. They really care. Food was great. A better variety than most buffets. I was amazed by the curry fish. The fish was high quality and cooked perfectly. The chicken curry was also wonderful - actually it all was. Try the beet pudding for desert besides their rice pudding. Try something new.

Absolutely delicious and the staff was extremely attentive and very kind. We had the chicken vindaloo, tiki masala, and butter chicken—all were great. The food was flavorful, hot and cooked to perfection. This place is 40 minutes from my home and I will be making the drive to eat here often. Even my boyfriend who is very picky and not an exploratory eater was very impressed and took the rest of his food to go.

Good food, young, friendly staff plus funky Indian music. I ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, thinking that my English Heritage would easily handle the reduced spice level common to Indian restaurants in the US. It was much hotter and spicier than I anticipated, as well as very tasty. Well worth a visit.

Good food, large portions. While it's not ideal for kids (glassware), they were very kind to them and accommodating. Very happy to have an option like this in SW Arlington.

I previously tried this restaurant back in August and had to go out of state for school for a while. When I came back, all I could think about was this place. The food is fantastic and so flavorful Annapurna must have made it herself. I wish I could make it as well as it is here. This food has feeling. This is the kind of food you keep thinking about. 10/10. Could not recommend it enough and would definitely recommend the Pudina Raita. It is brilliant and very good for the digestive system.

Really good food and options. Meat was a bit dry but we will definitely come back again. We love far away but its worth the drive. Service was really good. Very friendly and attentive!

Had the buffet. The Goat Masala was spicy and tasty. The Tofu Tikka Masala was a bit too sweet for my liking. The NaaN was awesome. The Hostess was very welcoming and sweet. The waiter was Great. The Mexican “cooks” laughing and singing in the kitchen was a put off. The former J and J Cafe building has been nicely re-done. The Rice Pudding had almost no rice. Our bill with a 20% tip was $51.00 Only water for drinks for us. I think for food quality and better buffet, I’ll go back to India Star. But this spot is much nicer for a “date”.

After reading all the wonderful reviews I was super excited to give them a try tonight. I came by at 10pm (they close at 10:30). I asked if they were still taking orders and was told yes. So I ordered a Butter Chicken plate and a Garlic Naan. My total was $24.87. I thought their $18 Butter chicken was rather expensive compared to other Indian restaurants I’ve been to but the excellent reviews I read made me feel the cost was reasonable for the quality. However, what I received was extremely disappointing. I quite literally had 5 small chunks of chicken in the entire container of sauce!!! The sauce tasted like straight tomato sauce! Very disappointing. I was most definitely given what was left over at the end of the day! My naan bread was thin and crispy like a chip. Not enjoyable. Disappointed with this experience.
