It is a rarity that I have a negative experience at a Jersey Mike's, but here is one. Recently I went to this Jersey Mike's at Kearny Commons and ordered the Ham Provolone and Cappacuolo sub. Because of time constraints, I had to take it to go. When I got home, much to my dismay, I found my sub missing the Cappacuolo. This left me with a bland Ham and Provolone sub with not much ham to begin with. If I wanted something like that, I could have just stayed home and made it myself. But with Cappacuolo (AKA gabagool) not that easy to find, it was necessary to make the trip here while I was in the vicinity. This is most disappointing.

Honestly.. should've looked at the reviews and not come here but my niece wanted a sub. Staff didn't acknowledge me when I arrived and were busy on their phones while I was there waiting. Came here once when they first opened but think this will be the last time I consider ever buying anything from here. Please don't give me the automated answer of "our staff really cares about good customer service" or that "the customers experience is what matters most to us" because judging by other peoples experiences.. this place just doesn't care despite how much they say they do. Wouldn't be surprised to see it gone in the next couple of years if this keeps up.

On January 24, 2026, at approximately 5:14 PM, I decided—after previously avoiding this business due to an incorrect order—to give this company another opportunity. Unfortunately, that decision proved to be a mistake. Despite being told in the past that changes would be made to prevent these issues, the same problem occurred again. Instead of contacting me to inform me that the bread I requested was unavailable, my sandwich was made using a different bread without my consent. A simple phone call to ask whether a substitution is acceptable would prevent frustration, negative reviews, and lost business. Choosing to make substitutions without customer approval sends the message that customer satisfaction is not a priority. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this ongoing issue reflects poorly on your operation and your customer service standards. Lyght J

This place is completely discussing they have employees which cook and deal with food with no hair nets , I took a picture of it and department of health will be notified hope people this twice before going to this location in Kearny very rude management Now I'm being asked to email store for what? I wrote details of what happened there's even a picture attached

very rude staff member, I said politely that I wanted to wait to pay for the food because I was paying for someone else but they were in the bathroom and didn’t order yet. Gave me an attitude walked away from the register and started slamming things in the kitchen

I like getting subs from Jersey Mike’s,but I will be avoiding this location since every time I order there are always issues. (i.e: Wrong bread or swapped bread tops, missing toppings, entirely wrong orders). It’s frustrating when I’ve given multiple opportunities and just end up disappointed.
