I had dinner here for NYE at the bar. Ana and Payton provided excellent service and good conversation. The special prix fixe menu was well crafted with superb options. I had the Burrata with roasted beats, saffron lobster bisque, the beef filet, and the pouched pear with blue cheese fondant. All had excellent flavor dynamics with the saffron lobster bisque being a unique take on a classic and the blue cheese fondant adding a very potent profile to the dessert. The bar is well stocked with all levels of scotch, whiskey and bourbon for any connoisseur.
My lunch was absolutely lovely. The shrimp beignets were a perfect combination of savory and sweet. The pomme frites were crispy with a very garlicky aioli, just as it should be. My waitress was accommodating and friendly. Very satisfied!
Payton was amazing ask for him he served us food and made sure we were constantly okay he’s the most perfect waiter and bartender I ever had and he made this crazy invention where he made salt bubbles in a rubber ducky as a margarita. It was so spectacular, but be careful with them because they are extremely sweet. You won’t even taste the alcohol had a great time. Thanks, Peyton
Spur of the moment to have an early anniversary dinner here. And it was a great decision. Our server was Bridget and she was an absolute delight. Professional, personable and knowledgeable. She was definitely a highlight as was the food. and atmosphere. We sat at a cozy yet large table with a comfortable sofa. There were several other couples in the room with us. And then the food... wow! Just look at the pics! Everything was delicious with high quality flavor and preparation. The only very small miss was the Chocolate Louise dessert. It was a little too cold and hard. But the flavor was there. And in no way does it take away from our 5 star experience!
First, this place was soooo b.e.A.UTIFUL! You walk in to this really nice wine wall and some gorgeous embroidered chairs and it just keeps getting better as you walk through. It was Friday night they had some mixed good music going at a perfect volume. An the bartender ANA😍 made us the BEST old fashioned I’ve ever had and I order this drink across the U. S. The food was great, the service was like we’d been there a million times. And the atmosphere was the real chefs kiss🤩 I realllly loved this place!
This place went beyond my expectations. I knew it was a nice place but they so consistently take care of you. Excellent service everyone's super sweet and attentive our waters were never empty. The food came out fresh and perfectly seasoned even basic stuff like fries and the burger were noticeably elevated. ALSO whoever made their dessert is alsoooo on another level cuz Ive had alot of operas in my life but I think this place might have given me the best oprea I have ever had the coffee flavor was authentic and it was the perfect layed balance with the perfect ganache consistency. chefs kiss to all of the food quality. I want to go back again already haha OH AND the restaurant it self is gorgeous. So yes go here even if it's pricey theyyyreee so worth it
Big shout out to Bridget, amazing service, kind and putting that extra mile to make the food even better. I deeply recommend the octopus, one of the best I’ve ever had.
White Oak Atlanta delivered one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the short rib with potato and onion, and it was absolutely unforgettable — hands down the most tender short rib I’ve ever experienced. The flavors were deep, rich, and perfectly balanced, making every bite feel like comfort food elevated to a whole new level. The atmosphere matches the food in elegance. The restaurant features velvet accents, soaring high ceilings, and a mix of chandeliers and creative light fixtures — some looked like glowing wooden cubes — which made the space feel both modern and warm. It’s the kind of setting where you instantly relax but also feel like you’re somewhere special. The staff made the evening even better. They were attentive without hovering, answered questions with ease, and were so kind about packaging up leftovers to go. Their professionalism and warmth stood out just as much as the décor and food. One small note: parking in Atlanta is never easy, and I did find myself hoping that the restaurant ensures their team is fairly supported with parking compensation. The staff clearly put so much effort into creating a welcoming, high-quality guest experience, and it would be great to know they’re taken care of too. Overall, White Oak is a gem — amazing food, beautiful space, and an outstanding team. Highly recommend for a date night, celebration, or simply treating yourself to an unforgettable meal.
Went here last night for my birthday dinner and everything was amazing! Our sever david made sure we were taken care of at all times! The food and atmosphere was fantastic and I will be coming back!
We got the ribeye, fried chicken and the wagu burger for lunch. I got the Bold Monk cocktail and it was FRESH. Forgot to snap a picture! The restaurant is truly stunning and we really enjoyed our experience here. It’s a french twist on southern fine dining - the atmosphere and food were very special. It looks like they have recently updated the menu and are making some exciting changes to the restaurant.
We came here for our anniversary, Josh took care of us and he was just phenomenal. We asked him for recommendations on our plates and our drinks which he paired perfectly. He made sure of it! He was able to deliver and exquisite service along with a very detailed description of our plates. Would go again, would recommend to a friend!
Ana was a great waitress and the food was amazing! I can’t wait to come back.
Amazing ambiance, friendly staff and fantastic food. Only disappointment was Baklava. Tomahawk was out of this world.
Great place! Enjoyed good drinks, amazing food (short ribs were ridiculous), and had great conversation. Will be back!
Lofty space w lots of windows to streetscape w a bit of a throwback old school vibe. We dined at the bar late and service was still on its A game, which was nice. Small craft cocktail offerings w a house version of G & T that I really enjoyed. The peppers w the burrata was a nice zippy touch, and the lime cream with the broccolini was fantastic. We had pasta dishes across the board and I think the lamb was the winner, w some dishes being a little too al dente for our taste. They were able to make a decaf latte right at closing which was really appreciated as a nice way to wrap up an elegant overall dining experience. Glad our friend in town recommended this spot.
This was a great experience. The service was excellent!
We had a wonderful dining experience. The waitress and bartender offered amazing drinks and went above and beyond with their service.
Elegant, but casual dining. Cool atmosphere with a huge bar selection. Excellent service and the food was well plated and delicious to the last bite. The deviled eggs were creamy and mouthwatering. Crab sandwich was a huge portion and delicious. Blackberry old fashioned was a great addition, but beware it is on the sweeter side.
This place is fabulous, delicious absolutely fantastic! the fried chicken nice crisp juicy inside. we definitely be back
The food here is nothing short of magic. It was presented like art and tasted like the most comforting part of heaven. I went during the tail end of Dragoncon on labor day weekend and the staff was attentive, welcoming and friendly despite dealing with who knows how many people between 60K con attendees and the people in town for the football game. UPDATE: I returned again this year during Dragoncon 2023, and they have had some additions to the menu as we as adding a sparkling gem of an assistant general manager Tyler King. Mr. King is an excellent host to this conclave of magical delicious food. He was a picture of patience, warm, and welcoming to all who came despite juggling shortness of staff. That shortness in no visible way impacted the level of service or the sublime perfection in which the food was presented. I am including a few more photos from this trip - sadly, I failed to bring my camera this time, so these new ones are from my phone. WOK&C will most certainly be an Atlanta tradition for me.
We are here lateish on a Thursday. There was plenty of availability and the service staff was attentive. We had cocktails and they were decent. The food was served promptly and was delicious. We had the short ribs, shrimp and grits and the rabbit. All were very flavorful and perfectly done.
One of the nicest restaurants i have been to the place is beautiful. The staff is friendly and food was great! The fried chicken was my favorite. Parking wasn’t bad for being in midtown. They have so many private rooms would be perfect for events.
Ashley our server was amazing!!!! Took time to explain every dish and what her favorites were. Next time we come back to Atlanta. We definitely will be coming back!!!
Bartender was fabulous!! Lots going on, but he was always there right we needed him. Food was amazing the short rib was melt in your mouth.
White Oak was an amazing restaurant to find on my trip to Atlanta. I ordered a very delicious beer and a very tasty wagyu burger. Our waitress, Mieshia, was fabulous. Super nice, super helpful, and recommend great drinks and desserts. Highly recommend checking it out.
The drinks, food and service were amazing. I got the London Fog cocktail which was an earl gray, vodka and oat milk cocktail and was one of the best most, balanced cocktails I've had in a long time. Shout out to Peyton who took good care of us. Definitely recommend!
To begin, I've had the pleasure to be able to frequent White Oak for about four years now and I've never had a bad meal. Upon walking in you're met with a truly unique southern French American decor that is unmatched in downtown Atlanta. While spacious, the restaurant feels intimate as the wait staff and the clientele are extremely welcoming. The menu has several different options ranging from staples such as steak and frites, to the more adventurous octopus. The cocktails are definitely craft and are in the more affordable price range compared to some of the local bars. Ask for Ana in the bar and cocktail area for a fantastic dining experience.
Our team of 17 had the pleasure of hosting a corporate dinner at White Oak this past week, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. David and Jay provided exceptional service — they were attentive, professional, and ensured everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. A special thank you to Chelsea for her help coordinating and planning the event. Her support made the entire process seamless. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect for our group, and everyone had a wonderful time. We truly enjoyed our experience and look forward to returning!
Truly, an astoundingly lovely afternoon stop. Flavor profiles are on point. Staff is superb! I felt welcome and comfortable, which is not always easy as a solo diner with a book to read! Bridget and all the staff went out of their way to be truly awesome humans. Bridget is warm and kind and fun! I had the Ratatouille and a pasta dish with a lemon cream sauce which Bridget suggested adding shrimp to...and she was NOT wrong! I had a staff favorite dessert as well that caused yet another happy food dance. I will certainly be returning when I am back in town! Thanks for such good care, White Oak!!
For my birthday, one of my husband’s challenges was to find an Atlanta restaurant I had never been to—and baby… he nailed it. From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-tier. The service was A1 across the board. Huge shoutout to Sean and Ana, who were absolutely amazing—attentive, warm, and genuinely made us feel celebrated. That kind of service makes all the difference. And the food?! Omg… so DELISH. Every bite was chef’s kiss, but let me be clear: the mushrooms are TO DIE FOR. I’m still thinking about them. 😍 If you’re looking to soak in a true downtown Atlanta vibe with incredible food and exceptional service, I highly recommend checking out White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails. This spot did not disappoint and absolutely earned a place on my favorites list. Run—don’t walk. You’ll thank me later. 💃🏽🍄🍽️
This Southern-inspired dishes, excellent cocktails, knowledgeable staff, and great atmosphere. Our waiter Peyton was AMAZING! 👍👍👍 He was very attentive and his irresistible charm set the mood for a great dining experience! His suggestions for food and drink were spot on! 😘 Speaking of the drinks, the week was amazing poor. With dirty martinis and wonderful wines. Then the food came, and it was spectacular from the start with the shrimp beignets to the barizona style fish dish and the fried chicken dinner and salted Carmel, chocolate pudding was perfection. Kudos to the chef, wait staff and bartenders. We will return many more times to come. Don’t miss this place!
Me and my husband went here for dinner to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Our experience was excellent! Our waitress treated us with the utmost hospitality and kindness. Our food was delicious, and the owner of the restaurant took time to check in on how our experience was and gave us complimentary drinks as a celebration for our anniversary! We will definitely be visiting again when we are in the Atlanta area!
I was in town for the Peach Bowl with a business partner and we found this gem. Hung out here almost all afternoon at the bar. The bartenders were so much fun and were very attentive. We both ordered burgers which were good, but could have used some additional toppings - I suppose I could have asked for them. Overall, this was a great spot downtown and a little further from the craziness near Mercedes Benz.
We had an incredible experience last night for dinner! Made a reservation, we sat very quickly, the food was amazing!!! We loved the Short Rib & the Halibut. The owner, Alan, came by our table to check with us and we shared how great our experience was. Thank you for a fantastic team dinner location, we will be back in June for the next show.
Our waitress Bridget was the best. Her service was excellent, even though there were some hiccups with our orders, though it was no fault of hers. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and gave good suggestions on the menu. The food was very good, although the medium well steak was a little under cooked. Really enjoyed the Indominous beer.
Our waiter, Martin was very nice. However, service was very slow due to him being the only waiter that was serving numerous tables alone. The restaurant appears to be understaffed, as they also had him manning the bar during lunch time. My friends and I met the owner/investor, Mr. Allen upon us leaving, and he was very kind.
Food is very good. The shrimp main dish is very tasty. The lamb is solid but not great. Special mention for the chocolate tart. Service was good. Generally good value for money. Only downside is that it is a quiet place with little atmosphere. If you want good food around the downtown area. A good place to go
Sophisticated dining setting, tasty southern inspired foods, and great cocktails! We happened to visit valentine's day weekend so we got the vday 3 course meal ($60 per person) and we felt that it was a great deal considering that just an entree runs around ~$25 here. Autumn was an amazing server and provided us with a great first experience at White Oak. It's a good place for date night or a fancier night out with friends! Location is great too. We were able to easily walk over to the Tabernacle after dinner to attend a show.
I was severely disappointed with my entire experience. Walking in the atmosphere is fun and open. But from the get go it was just an overall lackluster experience. Our waiter never made us feel welcome or really have a comfortable dining experience. They pushed the most expensive items on the menu and when they came the food was lacking in almost every sense. The octopus however was a highlight. But the beef burgundy was average and the vegetables were not cooked well. The risotto was very salty and had an artificial flavor to it and the shrimp was overcooked resulting in a slightly chewy texture. The cavatelli was fine but really nothing of note. The flavor of it was barely there. The mushrooms did taste fresh. The drinks were unique and well made. In total it is very hard for me to recommend this restaurant to anyone especially if they are not locals.
Good service and ambiance, but the cocktails were unbalanced. Food was unimpressive for the price, except the fried chicken. They give you so much tasty chicken. So get the chicken.
We were a table of four adults. We tried the shrimp, trout, pork tenderloin & short rib dishes as well as the brussels sprouts side. The shrimp and trout dishes were great. The pork tenderloin and the short rib were dry. The brussels sprouts needed more sauce and cooked a little longer. Our server was fantastic and we liked the atmosphere.
Unfortunately my wife and I were very disappointed overall. The good: Atmosphere, decor is awesome. Staff was very good and attentive. The Bad: food, completely bland. I don’t think a single oz of salt was used. The mashed potatoes were white flavorless mush. My steak was cooked well but lacked flavor.
Disappointing visit. The venue is beautiful and plenty of service staff. However there was a really long wait for food (30mins for some oysters). The fried chicken portion was huge, almost too much. It was quite bland too. I ordered a side of vegetables (carrots) and they were almost raw.
I don’t have pictures to supplement the review, but I wanted to add some points here! White Oak is a very well-decorated and classy restaurant, and we went for a corporate lunch with another team. The inside is well-lit and the staff was super helpful and patient with our large group. I got the Truffle Farm omelette, which was quite pricey and I was hoping for something unique. Though, my order consisted of a simple and small omelette with no filling or fresh vegetables. It did come with fries and a side salad, but I was disappointed in the main star of the dish. Others were happy with the smash burger though!
You can do better with food. Asked for medium but got well done and it was way too salty. No crispness and meat tasted somewhat cheap. But at least the service was good and the atmosphere was nice.
The meal was completely all over the place. The service was uneven to be nice at times and completely inattentive at times as well. It took over a half an hour for our drinks to come to the table not to mention the 20 minutes it took to even get our drink order. We had a larger party and one person was waiting for quite a while. All the rest of the food was on the table. I had the chicken and was surprised how tough and overcooked it actually was. The crust was amazing, but the inside shouldn’t be as crispy as the outside on a piece of chicken. Our drink order was made correctly several times to the point where we walk to the bar to get our own drinks. A charcuterie board or burrata and cavatelli were delicious. The pork belly with lentils was memorable while the shorting was as dry as the chicken. We had higher hopes for this restaurant, then what was inevitably executed.
Made reservations- got seated fast friendly staff and waitress . From the start of getting seated and to actually getting our entree took an hour. Me and my husband had somewhere to go so we had to box our food to go as we didn’t anticipate the service to take so long . We were able to at-least try our appetizers - that took a while but not as long . Also when we ordered there was an hesitation as if they may or may not have what we ordered available. I’d recommend if you have extra time to kill to come here the food is good but is timely to get your food out . Came here a few years back and don’t remember it taking so long
The chocolate bread in the bread basket was hard as a rock, the butter tasted straight up like oil, it tasted like margarine rather than butter. The Wagyu burger was soggy and drenched in fat as you can see from the photo. When I brought up my concerns the waitress said it depends on who’s in the kitchen that day. I’d totally accept that excuse if I were at Five Guys, not at some fancy restaurant like this. Oh and btw the host had us stood by the entrance to read the menu before sitting us which was weird, I wonder if that was because we were in shorts and crocs. Anyway, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
We had an 8:15 reservation and were not seated until 9:15, despite checking in and speaking with multiple managers. We didn’t leave until 10:30, which turned what should have been a normal dinner into a very long night. What was most disappointing was that we made the staff and even the owner aware of the situation, yet no acknowledgment, explanation, or attempt to make it right was offered. Delays happen, but communication and basic hospitality matter—especially when reservations are involved. The food was ok, but the service and lack of response from management overshadowed the experience. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return under these circumstances. Super annoying
The team that manages this restaurant is one of the most unprofessional and unethical group of individuals I've experienced in the hospitality industry. I was lied to about their private room being completely private (with 4 enclosed walls) for a business dinner I'm hosting, which I listed as a requirement for this event. After I signed the contract and paid the deposit, they sent me pictures showing the room was semi-private with a flimsy curtain. When I asked for confirmation and let them know a semi-private room wasn't an option for my needs, they took 4 days to get back to me, putting me past the cancellation date. Despite having all the emails showing them what was happening, they then threatened to charge me the full dinner amount if I tried to cancel. Would highly recommend you don't give them your business, as I'm being forced to do.
