First time visitor. Citrus Caprese Salad and #2 Special Pie were excellent. Great spot for food, drink, live music + dancing. Outside is relaxed and family friendly. Kudos to awesome staff.
Great band at 4pm on Sunday. Get here about hour earlier if you want a place at the bar. Food was good. Sharables and pizza focus. Citrus Caprese board was outstanding.

Why would I come back: The real question is after so many trips to Austin, how have I not been to ABGB? What a great place. Huge community tables inside (booths and bar stools too). Plenty of outside space that has to be amazing on a Austin evening. Great beer, multiple award winner, Rocket 100, plus a terrific Märzen. Creative pizzas and yummy sandwiches, who doesn't love a great muffaletta? Chill atmosphere this afternoon, but with love music and a full brewhouse, I know it gets crazy here. They give 5% to charity and nonprofit partners, so you're doing good by drinking beer! PROST! @brewersassoc @homebrewassoc @touchdownbrewery #ParkerPose #BeerLife #BeerLove
After looking at reviews, I had to try all the food here. So we made time to stop for lunch before heading back home. So glad we did, the place is massive with plenty of seating inside and out. We ordered our food with the attendant at the bar and he was so helpful with questions and attentive. The drink I got was absolutely delicious! The food came out at a good time and everything was AMAZING, the food was delicious, fresh and just yummy! I.am definitely coming back.
Hell yeah! One of the most awarded and tenured among modern Austin breweries, and still going strong. Enjoyed collaborations with other breweries, generally focusing on lagers. Pizza was also huge and eat for the family. We all enjoyed the welcoming, diverse environment and graffiti art.
Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. is a warm place to sit back and kick it with friends and family. On the inside there are multiple tables that can fit large numbers of people without ever feeling cramped. While we sat in one section as you enter, there’s a other side for sitting. They have a stage for bands which offer another aspect to this place. There’s also plenty of out door seating, but not recommend when it’s extremely hot out these days. The bar provides multiple taps with workers that know how to provide tips on why to drink. Definitely get the recommendation of those that work at a place that makes beer. We order the wagyu beer pizza and it didn’t disappoint! Definitely gonna try other items on the menu when we go back because that pizza was delicious. Good here is great and we had a great lunch. There are many places to kick back for beers and some food in Austin. Add this to your list of sites to visit because you won’t be disappointed.
The pizza is absolutely amazing! Met a friend here and had one slice of his and had to come back the next day to get a full pie. Crust is perfectly thin and the sauce has such a good flavor to it. I ordered the house sausage and it was so delicious. They have live music, outside patio, and plenty of beer on top. Was visiting from out of town and would absolutely go back when I’m in town again!
I’ve traveled the country going to breweries and this was a top rated spot in Austin. It’s a huge space, outdoor patio seating, limited beer menu but when it’s good you don’t need a bunch of options! The food was great, the muffuletta is highly recommended. Deviled eggs (2) for $3 on a brewery menu great idea! They were delicious and worth the money! Friendly staff and plenty of parking. Great place for meeting a friend or getting work done on a laptop when it’s not busy.
During our day trip from San Antonio to Austin, we decided we needed a snack and a drink. We'd never tried a brewery and other ratings have brought us here. I can't say too much about their actual entrées since my wife and I had two Caesar salads and the pesto bread, but if their pizzas are as good as our sides and salads, I would 100% recommend this place. If you're not much of a beer drinker (like my wife), ask the bartender for a recommendation and order a flight. They're a bit pricier than the rest of our order but worth it. You'll try five different beers, and like her, you're bound to find something you like. One tip I have for future visitors: You'll need to select a table/place to sit, order at the bar, then sit and wait for your order. If you're greater than a party of 1, have your guest save your table. My wife and I both went up, and when we provided the bartender with our table number, we looked back and found it had been taken by another group. It wasn't a big deal since other spaces were open, and we were able to change it. I just can't say You'll have the same luck on busy days. Regardless, Austin Beer Garden is now a regular stop for us!
This is one of those reviews where I want to give 1 star fir the food but then closer to 5 for the server response to the issue. So I settle on 4 which seems fair but at least making everyone aware... Here goes. Started not great to begin with... The place smells like kibble to me (was it the yeast /brewing process as my husband wondered? But we have eaten at a 100 breweries and I have never smelled this before). There were only a very few beers on tap to choose from, 5. One ipa west coast style (no hazy or NEIPA or sours as are my preferences) but we went with what we could. We were hungry so the availability of some games/puzzles (missing pieces but what can you expect) helped keep kids occupied while waiting. The food came &this is where the real trouble started. The deviled eggs app was ONE egg! Usually, this type of dish includes at least 2 or 3 eggs cut in half. Also there was bacon on it which was not mentioned but this wasn't a huge deal bc the member of our party ordering that isn't the vegetarian. I am. I ordered specifically the vegetarian stuffed peppadews (which was listed correctly on our bill) but they came stuffed with prosciutto under the cheese! I was horrified. I reported this to the staff and initially they didn't say anything and I was preparing a. Nasty review. But luckily then a few minutes later one waitress came over to me and Apologized several times, and another stopped by to as well. They took that off the bill and reduced the rest of the bill as well, an appropriate move. The flies, the hair in my sandwich, the barely visible or tasted sauce on the reuben, the fact that the "frito pie" was literally a bowl of chili with Zero fritos solidified we won't come back. But the kind response of 2 of the staff prevents me from being nasty with v few stars.
TLDR: above average beer and a really nice atmosphere came here for a flight and a little snack after work last Friday. First off, I really liked the atmosphere. there is a bunch of outdoor seating, which is always a plus. For drinks I got a flight, so I got a variety of beers. Overall, they were pretty good, however, they don't have a lot of variety in the styles available. I also got a slice of pizza, which was much better than I expected for brewery food. All said and done, it's definitely a spot worth visiting, but isn't the best that Austin has to offer.
Really cool place with a dog-friendly patio setup. Wonderful beer and waiting staff, but food kind of under seasoned (even pizza...) and thus underwhelming. Not an authentic beer garden experience but a hipster version of it. Overall really cool. Will definitely go back for beer, but won't eat there again.
Great venue, with plenty of room. Good beer selection but not any stouts when we were there. The food was full of flavor and REALLY good. The service was great when we arrived. When we were ready to close our tab, my wife stood under the sign “Close Tab” but no one would even look at her. So she stood in the long line for “Food & Beer. Not sure why they would have two signs.
Good food beer. I was surprised to see the menu is a full restaurant menu, not just bar food. Both the beer and food change frequently. Lots of parking, but the lot fills up quick. Handicap parking is in the driveway; it leads directly to the accessable ramp. Seating is almost entirely community tables and benches, both inside and outside. It makes for good "people per square footage", but because of the benches, table space for people in wheelchairs is limited to the ends of the long tables (more or less in the aisles). Doors are heavy and non-motorized, which can be an issue for those in wheelchairs (again). Outside seating is shaded and pleasant. It's dog and family friendly. Part of the outside seating has gravel flooring. Excellent beer and restaurant. Wheelchair accessibility needs work.
Just missed the live music, however the music and atmosphere was good to head bop to. Nice little watering hole to hang out with friends. We got a Calabrese pizza which was a bar pizza, good at the time. Nothing to write home about. However I do appreciate the fact you can order just a slice if you want, and I did get a slice of the wagyu and it was like a cheeseburger pizza. The beers and ciders were pretty good. Would come back next time we are in Austin.
