Opiniones de Buzz Mill Austin
We came here for an open mic comedy on Tuesday at 8pm and it was awesome. Cringe, but awesome. I loved how much the venue focuses on community. I was also super surprised that it's open 24/7. The beer was cheap. And they serve alcohol free beer for $4 which is a win in my book. Definitely a place I'd visit again.
We came in for a seminar and found this place. The staff was wonderful and suggested places to see and go. The coffee was absolutely wonderful and we loved our experience in Austin. We did not have food but the coffee was awesome.
This was a hidden treasure to find for me. It's pretty cool place to hang out, or bring friends or even go on a date to. They have a taco truck there which is delicious and inside all their baked good are also yum. They make coffees but one cool thing is they have whiskeys they flavor. And they have them out so you can see them..also people can bring their dogs and they have treats for them. I really like this place. Parking is super hard there so plan to spend a little time looking for parking. Sorry I didn't take pictures.
Great relaxed atmosphere, events during the week that are really chill and bring people together like game trivia nights and comedy nights . It’s never packed like other bars, nice little neighborhood coffee shop.
Buzz Mill is an Austin staple and I hope it never ever goes away. Great outdoor atmosphere. Consistently has food trucks and is willing to try new ones when trucks that have been there for a while seem to lose popularity. Small indoor space but always welcoming and friendly service. Very dog friendly. The coffee is excellent. I'm no aficionado but I know when a cup of coffee is or isn't for me. Coffee here is consistent and delicious. I'm a regular cold brew fan myself but they have flavored cold brew which tastes exactly like what it's infused with. They also have fun boozy infusions that I don't really mess with but if you're adventurous it's a wonderful place to have some fun. 13/10 recommend Buzz Mill. Also...24 hour walk up coffee window... absolute life saver on early work mornings! 🔥🌻
We stayed down the street from The Buzz Mill on a bachelor trip. No lie when I am stating that we came here anywhere between 2-4 times - A DAY!! - depending on the guy going. This place is a local GEM. The coffee and atmosphere was phenomenal. They also served beer and infused liquors which was neat. Service was amazing.
Came here to break the monotony of Starbucks and I would say it’s so so much better. The coffee itself taste amazing and the service and vibes just made it better. We were there early but they also have beers (including PBR for $3) and they were way more affordable than other places around. Will definitely be back.
Love this place. Great programming every night! Sunday night trivia is a blast. The coffee is phenomenal. If you have a chance try the Pecan cold brew.
Amazing coffee and space for hanging with friends. Dogs welcome too!
Fun live music, great food trucks and vibes. Drinks are reasonably priced. Definitely DO NOT park at the DQ lot or you will be towed.
I'm about to move to East Austin and I decided to test out some of the locales to get a feel for the area. One of my coworkers recommended this place and it did not disappoint! Prices were reasonable and the drinks were tasty. Their home-brewed infused drinks are delicious, but not too sweet! I tried the Camp Cider (which tastes like apple pie in a can) and some kind of strawberry gin infused drink. Both were fantastic (although I definitely preferred the Camp Cider). Unfortunately I went around 3 p.m., and not all of the food trucks were open. This place is dog friendly, and I made a new furry friend while there. I would definitely recommend this place, especially during warm weather!
Absolutely love the amount of events they hold and the organization and frequency. The food trucks are good, limited though to vegan/plant based & Mexican. Definitely not bad though. Also, I’m drinking an iced latte for them as I write this and it’s extraordinarily good. They have some snacks- but the investment in quality is superior.
My lil' Vegan introduced me to The Buzz Mill & I ❤️(d) it! Went back the next night with a cousin who also ❤️'d it. She HAD to try the burger I kept raving about... (name???). It's the French Toast w/ Powdered Sugar and Strawberry 🍓 Habanero Sauce. Oh❣️My❣️Word❣️ Such deliciousness in my mouth💥❣️ I will definitely be back❣️ #KeepingAustinWeird
One of the best places in Austin owned by the kindest, most down-to-earth, generous guy, Jason Sabala. Great drinks and food trucks, great atmosphere, people, and events. A true Austin establishment 💚
Service and atmosphere are pretty awesome. Very nature and camp focused place, that has both an impressive lineup of drinks/ cocktails (check out that wall!) and great coffee. Live music and open mic/ standup comedy is entertaining and the outside area is very nice. Perfect place to meet friends and family
What a cool place with an amazing vibe day or night. They have theme nights for open mic, trivia etc. dogs are welcome and the space has a huge amount of character. Nothing glitzy it manufactured about this place.
One of my favorite spots during my weekend trip to Austin! Buzz Mill is a casual, neighborhood coffee shop/bar that's open 24/7. They offer a great selection of coffee and beer, as well as infused liquors on tap. Got a lot of great recommendations for other cool spots to check out in Austin thanks to one of their chill baristas, Sara. Also caught some great live music by a local band (Warm Sugar) there in the evening! Plus they support a lot of great causes within the community through their programs and initiatives.
Such a fun bar! Honestly- love how chill it is and the drink variety. Really great spot if you have a lot of people too!
From their infused liquors to their delicious lattes, yummy food trucks and spacious patio buzz mill has it all including my heart haha. But seriously it’s a great chill vibe and they also have different events going on during the week that you guys should check out as well. My favorite drinks are the honey badger latte and for alcohol the strawberry mamacita!
Great little jaunt for coffee or an adult beverage. Atmosphere is quaint and the decor quirky, but it all worked. We went on a Sunday morning and were happy to discover gluten free desserts, as well as other breakfast offerings. Bonus: you can write a postcard from camp and they will send it on your behalf.
Open 24Hrs !!! Visited in the morning on a weekday. I am always looking for a good cup of joe-decaf. Their Decaf Vanilla Latte (light on flavor) was truly amazing. Wonderful aroma,flavor...yes definitely a GOOD cup of coffee. My husband had their regular Vanilla Latte and loved it. Thank you, Buzz Mill!
The coffee here is top-tier. Probably my favorite place in Austin to be honest to get coffee. As far as the atmosphere, it’s OK. Parking situation is a little weird. There’s also a guy that works there that is adamant about telling people where they have to park, and his vibe is just a little disturbing. Otherwise, the coffee quality here is amazing.
Austin is really blessed with this gem of a shop. Not only was their coffee beautifully made and tasty - good enough for my boujee best friend barista - but they also offer a small discount if you bring your own cup! It looked like they had an array of tasty alcohol too. They're very involved with their community, and you can see that on their website and on the two tv screens that cycle their events. I loved the quirky atmosphere, the friendly service. They're also open 24 hours so you never have to wait for a great cup. I might just drive the 4 hours to go there again, that is until they open one up near me 🤗
Get a pizza from Bat City Pies! This place was such a pleasant surprise! I got the Don't Call me Darling and it was the best! The owner was really nice and it's obvious he takes a lot of pride in his work, the pizza was outstanding and plenty to share, I would even say it's better than Via 313!
Always a nice place to go whether it's at sun up for a coffee from their chill baristas or after work for a great happy hour draft beer or in house flavored spirits
When in Austin, this is the Mecca! I usually visit 2x/daily. 5x would be an overload. The honey badger with oat milk is my go to. I did have the flapjack, basically the same with maple syrup instead of honey. Soooo good, so good. Was here on a Wednesday…….great stand up show. Would 10000% recommend.
Fantastic one of a kind local bar! They have all sorts of coffees, teas, and ciders that you can add shots of espresso to bring you up or add some delicious one of a kind home brewed infused liquors. Take a look at the photo of the large glass jars at the bar for an idea of what types they have. The also have a selection of cold beer. Pretty busy at night. Took photos during the day when it was less busy. Theres an indoor area, covered and uncovered patio w fantastic woodwork. Has a nice warm cabin like feel to it. There is a 2nd outdoor bar, a place under the covered parking for a live. band. I reccomend the honey badger latte with a shot of their honey infused whiskey. Yum!
Great coffee shop. I have stopped in a couple times a week for the past 1.5yrs. Always treated kindly and the staff knows my order. I will be a regular for the foreseeable future!
Great place have a cup of coffee or a glass of beer or spirit. Open 24 hours it's a great spot to just hang out. They have open mic poetry, music, and movie nights. They have food trucks that are great with vegan and vegetarian options. If you're in the area you should drop in and check it out.
Had a rough night after getting some items stolen, but Zander turned it around with kindness and perfect service. He made sure my coffee was just right and shared some uplifting stories. Truly appreciated on a tough evening. Cheers and will start working from here more often during his shifts.
Great coffee and apple cinnamon old fashion. Dog friendly. Love this place.
Open on Christmas and open 24 hours! I love coming here for good coffee and a fun and cozy atmosphere. My favorite is the honey badger latte (with oat milk)! They serve coffee and alcohol here with a few baked goods. There are food options outside. There’s indoor and outdoor seating as well! They sometimes hold events here so there’s an area with a “stage” and seating. They have a small lot to park in but ample street parking in case it’s full. Always happy with the staff and serve! An Austin staple for sure!!
My dog loves coming here and the drinks are great... I see a ton of the public work they do and it's amazing what they represent for the community. Still going strong the Irish coffee they offer is delicious. 10/22 Food is a little expensive but very delicious! The fries, the people, and kindness can't be matched!
Back in the day we would call this a beer garden. Here you have a coffee shop that serves beer and coffee with indoor and outdoor seating. There are also a few food trucks. Picnic table seating. Come here with friends. Bring the laptop to work a little. Bring the dog to socialize with other dogs. Definitely a place you want on your go to places!
Nice place to go for events and drink. Just DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, park in the DQ parking lot next door. Your car WILL get towed in 5 minutes of leaving in some cases. Besides that, enjoy the food trucks and the mixed drinks they have
We primarily stopped here for coffee and a quick brunch bite. Coffee is great, also got their last breakfast taquito with beans and potatoes. The green sauce that came with it was delicious and I like my sauce spicy so it was perfect. The coffee is good, it’s what I would expect from a cafe who offers such. Strong, not too sweet, and also fairly fast. I would come back, but with so many options I might try another place before I labeled it a top 5.
Old Austin (I’ve been here 30 years so I can kinda say that) style shack of a shop with good conversation and tasty coffee. There are several food trucks on site and they have an array of infused liquors. I enjoyed reading all the stickers on the walls.
I have never been here. I do an old Covid Internet game called Wheredle, and today I was put smack dab into this bar and everyone in pictures had animal masks on. I now need to visit this place EXPEDITIOUSLY.
Had a great coffee and some food truck tacos. Atmosphere is fantastic! Would love to catch a show here sometime. Great art, great place to just chat with folks, or go out for a drink.
Without a doubt my favorite place in Austin. The coffee is pure rocket fuel and it has such a great vibe to it. Absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to enjoy a sunny afternoon or somewhere to just hang out in the evening
Probably one of the best places in Austin to go grab some beer and coffee and sit/write. If you’re looking for somewhere relaxed to let some creativity out on paper, this place is a really good bet. The staff are helpful, kind, and just really awesome people to be around. Best cortado in the state of Texas.
The coffee is really good. Even a simple black iced Americano tastes great, though I agree with others that the Honey Badger Latte is really good. There is inside AC seating and a great shaded outdoor patio which seems to be shared with Santo Patio Taco Trailer, which is a bonus. Friendly, that, great
Have gone here the past two Wednesdays to go to their free comedy. I haven’t had any drink other than a rum and coke there but my boyfriend has gotten their infused drinks and enjoys them! The comedy is a fun event to go to with friends and the food truck in the back is delicious. I had the shrimp taco and the seasoning was amazing. My boyfriend for the chicken quesadilla and it was a good portion with lots of toppings. Overall a good place to enjoy time with friends :)
Love this fun eclectic spot! Stopped by for breakfast (the food truck wasn't open yet) so grabbed an ice coffee from the bar... yes the bar! Awesome combo spot to get your drink on.. with or without some kick. Cool patio and awesome decor inside and out! A few folks were on their laptops, so there must be good wifi also. Staff was awesome and super friendly. Will definitely return to try more later!
Still my favorite spot for coffee or a drink in the South Shore District. Great staff, a fantastic outdoor seating area and some of the best food trucks (3) in Austin. Get involved by joining the Lumber Society - great fun in your back yard! Regular events like comedy, open mic music, talks, trivia. Just a very fun 5-star spot. And open 24-7!!
I walked up from my apartment to treat myself to a tasty adult beverage. After reviewing the menu I just had to try the Strawberry Jalapeño Tequila. The bartender suggested adding a little lime and he was not wrong! This is perfect on the rocks to sip while you enjoy a yummy meal from one of the amazing food trucks that hold a residency here. Don’t forget they have beer and coffee too!
The best place to hang out do some work. Talk to people and the baristas are always nice and the bartenders are great. They have the best selection of whiskey and probably the most affordable rates in all of Austin, the hidden gem, and definitely a tourist spot . We build communities here.
Try the iced chai, but be careful. It’s really good. Too good. It changed my life. I blew through my kid’s college fund coming here multiple times a day for my chai fix. My wife left me. I lost my job. Anyway, I live in my car now but I’m a lot closer to this place as a result. Never too far from that sweet chai.
Such a great place to hang and meet locals. The outdoor space had lots of room to expand and catch up with friends. I came here for one of their comedy open mics while in town for another event. The staff is super friendly and the open mic was a lot of fun with a great host. I'd love to get back to try some of their in-house infused whiskey and stay longer than I had time for on this visit. Glad I was able to fit it in on my last night in Austin.
I've lived in this neighborhood for going on 6 years, and the Buzz Mill has been my favorite spot this whole time. The drink options are varied, and great. The food trucks there have good food. And, with wifi and power outlets I can get work done there and feel productive, before changing gears to a beer at the end of the day. Seriously, wonderful place with great staff and events. Seriously, their survival workshops are so cool and fun, as are the comedy shows!
One of my absolute favorite places in Austin! This unique eatery offers hot and cold coffees, infused liquors, draft beer and a variety of cold waters and energy drinks. They have several food trucks parked in the yard with a lot of outdoor picnic table seating! Dog - friendly too! They are open 24 hours and is easily accessible with ample free street parking.
Nice place to chill and they have events too! You can feel the Austin vibe as soon as you walk in. Indoor/Outdoor seating with a patio too. Inside they have a coffee/tea/alcohol bar. VERY unique drinks no matter what you're looking for (see pics). My friends and I each got a specialty coffee and one of my friends got the Pecan Whiskey. I'm not a whiskey fan so I didn't try it. She LOVED it though and highly recommends it. All of our coffees were on point. The staff are super helpful and very friendly. I will definitely be going here again!

Cool spot, good amount of beverage options but I was a bit disappointed in the food trucks. They were okay, not good nor were they great. Their problem was their hours, posted hours did not reflect the open times. Buzz Mill is definitely a place I will go back to, but not for the food truck options.
Haven't been here in a few years, since I'm now in the neighborhood, I decided to stop by and recheck it out. Great coffee here and elixir specialty drinks, however on this day, I only had time for a little snack since I had to go to a meeting shortly after, now the beer was for digestive purposes only. I really like the laid back atmosphere, reminds me of similar venues in my hometown, Berkeley, CA. Not much choice on blotting paper, food that you can order from the food truck next door, I wasn't too keen on the vegan burger, nevertheless I will definitely return to try some of the elixir specialty drinks
Came here the other night to try some coffee and drinks. They had delicious infusions of alot of choices. The guy at the front was very helpful. The place is small inside but has a big outdoor seating to hang out at. There is also a good truck to try out. This is a great hang out spot.
Summary: neat place, lots of beer choices, good music, very community oriented. The details: Located just over the Colorado River from downtown Austin, the Buzzmill is pretty much walking distance to most things downtown and just south of downtown. Certainly within electric scooter distance. We went on a Sunday around noon, my wife wanted to try the vegan Plow burger that they offer. She ordered it with fries. I had a ginger beer brew. Our 16 month old was with us and I will say that while we felt welcome overall, a kid of any age is out of place at least inside where the bar is. Seating inside is limited, so if you have a large party plan on being outside where the smokers seem to take up residence. There are fans outside with misters so even on a hot day, outside works. My wife's food came in about 10 minutes. The fries were very tasty and while she offered me a bite of her bunless burger ( they were out of gluten free buns ) I passed up the treat for two reasons.. #1) I don't do fauxmeat and #2) it smelled horrible. She did enjoy it even without the bun. The crowd was downtown hipsters long haired trendy dudes. There was also an adorable black lab who I was told didn't do well around kids so I didn't get a chance pet her. See the pics for the "burger" and atmosphere. We will not be back, it's not our crowd but looks like a great place for the right group of younger folks looking for a good brew and decent 80s throwback music.
Fun indoor/outdoor space. You can get drinks/coffee at the enclosed building and some of the best tacos from the Santo Patio taco truck. It's just as good as their location at the Canopy. Shrimp Tacos and breakfast Egg/spinach Tacos are the best.
Will adjust this review if the second visit my food selection steps up a notch in quality. The beef quesadilla was very tasty and flavorful but the beef qualify was lacking. Too much gristle in too many bites. Drinks were outstanding

This place was a bit too much for me. I came in to pick up some whole bean coffee as well as taste their brew. I ordered a pour over coffee and the guy making took like over 5 minutes making. When I mean "making it," I mean pouring the water over the grounds and mixing it. It looked like it was a science project to him. The coffee tasted too bitter that I HAD TO add a little sugar and cream to drink it. The beans that I brought back weren't too spectacular either. Better off going to Houndstooth, Third Coast, or Cuvee.
It's good that they're open 24 hours and, as a last resort place for coffee, it's ok, but otherwise, it's a pass. the coffee was pretty average, perhaps slightly better than Starbucks, but the blueberry muffin was stale (it probably had been stale for several days by then).
Only one kinda bad pizza food truck and not really any other food offerings. Drinks were kind of mid and expensive. But really we didn’t like this place because of the cliquish vibe and 2 mean staff members while we were here: one told my friend he couldn’t plug his computer charger in a specific place, which was fine, but was unnecessarily aggressive about it (“if you plug in there I will cut your wire in half”) and another guy who worked here told my friend he wasn’t allowed to put his head down on the table. Just weird, bad vibes.
Usually a very good place but unfortunately had a very rude/unprofessional barista durring the night shift. We ordered two drinks, one hot one cold. She confused them and gave us the orders mixed. We politely mentioned the error and she gave us a lot of unwarranted attitude. She eventually remade the drinks but kept making passive aggressive remarks about how we were at fault and that she definitely heard us right . Mind you, we were not being disrespectful or demanding. Even if that was the case, being this rude and dismissive is just plain mean and unprofessional. I hope this was a lapse in judgment and that you were having a bad day. I wish y’all the best.

So I was referred to this place by a classmate who is local to the city. I was disappointed to arrive and find out it was a food truck (it was 7pm and 40 degrees out) and closed. So I had no intention of sitting outside anyway. Then my sister noticed that the place next door, Buzz Mill, was displaying the Plow Burger sign inside their restaurant on a tv so we parked and got out. My first observation was a "No" sign on the door- no shoes no shirts no dogs etc - which I was fine with until I opened the door to be greeted by someones nosey dog trying to run up on me 😤 not even a service animal. When i finally did get inside there was no plow burger menu displayed, the whole place smelled like dogs and i lost my appetite. Also we noticed that the side door was open to the food truck and one guy was running back and forth. Needless to say we gave up and left.
The coffee here is nothing short of amazing. I would choose this over any place in Austin any day. The reason for the one star review is because of the way I was treated here by the staff. I understand there is no outside food/drink allowed, but I had a previous coffee and my friend was just quickly buying something and we were gonna leave as soon as it was ready and the cashier told me to throw my drink away. I said "we are not staying and leaving right away" so I did not toss it. Then, we were waiting outside for our food and he comes back out no less than a minute later to tell me VERBATIM "are you gonna throw that out, or are you gonna lie to me again?" hits his vape in my face, and walks away. I was left speechless by how rudely I was spoken to. I have never had an issue here, and won't let one inadequate person tarnish my love for Buzzmill. I also am understanding of the fact no food/drink was allowed, but there are better ways to go about having that conversation with at the bare minimum maturity and respect.
