I am from the outside of Chicago, and miss a good deep dish pizza. This Deep Dish brought my back to home! It was great! Comfortable space inside, staff was good. But none of that matter, Pizza is worth going for. They also have thin crust which to be honest is actually good.
It's hard to find good Chicago style pizza. We had both the tavern style and the deep dish. The tavern style crust was cooked to perfection. Crispy, thin, and flavorful. The deep dish was also good, reminded me of Mangia. Wings were large and flavorful. We got lucky with $5 margaritas. Stop by and check this place out.
We visited Chicago Slice, and the experience was excellent from the very beginning. We started with some chicken wings that stood out for their large size and truly delicious flavor; definitely one of the restaurant’s star dishes. We also ordered a pizza, which had an incredibly authentic taste, with that special touch that sets a good Chicago-style pizza apart. To accompany our meal, we chose some French fries, which were crispy, well-prepared, and very tasty. Overall, everything we tried was delicious and absolutely worth it. The total cost was about 50 dollars, which is quite reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes of the food. The service was another strong point: the young woman who attended us was very helpful and consistently attentive throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. In summary, Chicago Slice is a highly recommended place for its flavor, service, and excellent value for money. 🍕🍗💛
We went on a Friday evening and it was empty most likely due to the holidays. We had great service and fresh, delicious food. The truffle fries were so good! Everything we tried was flavorful and made to order. I will definitely be back.
Pacing was slower than what I was use to, but the food and customer service made up for it. Owner and waiter were super nice and the vibe was chill. The wings were pretty darn good and the pizza reminded me of home. Good late night spot.
If you are seeking super good thin tavern style pizza this is the place! I haven’t found pizza like this anywhere in Austin. I would have thought I was in Chicago while eating it. Enjoyed the pizza so much I took a second one home for leftovers! Bonus the owner is a cool laid back dude who makes the service enjoyable!
We had an amazing meal at Chicago Slice! From the attentive service to arthritic atmosphere to the food! The truffle fries were a great appetizer! The tavern pizza and the deep dish were both absolutely delicious! It was a phenomenal meal and will be back again!
Walked in and was immediately impressed with the style of the restaurant. We did not intend to eat here but I am glad we did! Their 16in thin sliced pizza was amazing! The extra toppings are a bit pricey...$3 extra for onion on top for example is a bit much and can make a custom pizza a bit pricey. Overall very nice place and I'm glad we stopped in.
Had a great experience at Chicago Slice! The wings and pizza were absolutely delicious, and my lemon drop was perfect. Great customer service, friendly and attentive staff. Definitely coming back!

You can tell a lot of thought went in to the atmosphere, down to the fine details! The food was great- we ordered the wings with buffalo sauce and Chicago pie. The ingredients were high quality and the flavors were wonderful. Everyone was friendly and service was efficient!
Came in just before a big birthday party and our food order was forgotten. BUT, the staff took care of us and made things right as soon as they realized the mistake. The pizza was really good: it had a good cheese pull, a good crust, and the toppings tasted premium. I would go back to try it again another time hopefully when the staff isn't distracted with 50 other people!
What a hidden gem! The atmosphere was elegant but also chill, the food was top notch as well. Don't sleep on the wings the marinade them for 24 hrs making them pop with every bite. Murph took care of us today. He was knowledgable, friendly, and will definitely be a big part of why we come back!
Chill spot with a classy Chicago speakeasy vibe. We tried the lemon pepper wings —seriously so good. The deep dish pizza was delish as well. The owner is really friendly and you can tell he cares about his customers. Great service, great people. Definitely worth checking out!

As a family originally from Chicago, we’re always on the hunt for authentic pizza and Chicago Slice did not disappoint. We tried the tavern-style pizza and absolutely loved it. Crispy, flavorful, and just like home. We’re definitely coming back soon to try the deep dish! The dine-in experience is a bit unconventional, so be ready to seat yourself and scan the QR code at the table to place your order. There’s less human interaction, but we didn’t mind it at all. The setup was simple and efficient. Great food and good vibes.

We've been on the look out for some good Chicago deep-dish since Mangias closed. The mozzarella sticks were good. Wings both breaded and baked were delicious. The deep dish was good, but the appetizers were better. The server was great and made the experience really nice. The restroom...just avoid if you go.
Arrived around 415 pm. Expected a restaurant but was more of a bar that served food or a lounge. Atmosphere was pretty good still. Seem like it had good vibes. Service was slow at first and could probably be better overall. The saving grace of it was the pizza! The pizza is great and we were glad we stayed for it. We ordered a 12’ tavern and a mini Chicago deep dish to go! As long as they work on the service this could be a great spot to hang out, eat and drink!!!!

Not good TBH. Was hopeful when I saw this open for some Chicago style options up North. The pro-looking marketing photos here and on the Uber Eats profile are misleading. In the photos the mozzarella sticks look handmade (wider, hand cut, seasoned), but what you get is very thin, bland Cisco-looking frozen for $9.90. Also, they charge you an extra $2.50 for 1x small sauce. 1x sauce should be included in that price. The personal deep dish had a very thin, dried out crust that had a chemical aftertaste.
Mid. I've had Chicago deep dish from Chicago and this wasn't close. The wings had potential, but missed the mark. The cheese bread was bland. They add oregano or something on top of everything that messes up the flavor. Waited AWHILE to be noticed. Be prepared it's not a restaurant experience. It's more of a lounge that serves pizza and wings.

No… the waiter was extremely nice, but the pizza sauce was sour, and smaller than expected. I ordered Pepperoni Pizza and they gave me a pizza without Pepperoni! Even after asking to confirm if there was Pepperoni on the pizza, they stated “there is pepperoni under the sauce”, but there wasn’t any. Nevertheless, I don’t think i will go back. The menu is not up to date. But Nice Waiter!!
My coworkers and I ordered lunch today and I can not even believe how disappointed we were. We all ordered the lunch deep dish combo that was suppose to come with fries... none us received the fries. The deep dish was just a high crust with minimal cheese and too much sauce that was basically just red wine. Two bites was all I could handle before I gave up and realized I couldn't stomach it. The fried mozzarella was just empty breading tubes with the cheese strung over the tops. The fried pickles were just a clump of pickles in batter that was raw in parts and half cooked in others. Most of what we ordered ended up being inedible. Also, if you are going to use wine in your sauces, please make sure you cooked them down appropriately so diners aren't punched in the face with it.
Deep dish was ok could be good with a little more work.Cheese mix is wayyyyyy to heavy on the provolone. Red sauce was really good. Crust was good also. I also ordered the Nashville wings bread and it was awfully disgusting just greasy burnt cayenne.

Eff this place. Let me place an online order and wasn’t open despite it being a time their website says they were open. Btw, website has two different sets of hours on it, as well as two different phone numbers. Seems I’m not the only person that had this experience based on reviews and other folks walking up to find a locked door. Didn’t answer either phone number available multiple times on different days despite being during business hours. Even hit them up in their Insta dms to try and get a response with nothing. Finally had to dispute through my bank to get my money back. Really would love to try this place; could really use a good tavern style option in Austin, but would need them to acknowledge this incident first and not with this garbage “not the experience we want you to have” response they gave another review with this issue. Of course you don’t want me to order food when you’re supposed to be open but you’re actually not. And fix it so that your hours and phone number are consistently listed everywhere. Willing to change this review based on their response.
