I visited a restaurant recently that really left a positive impression on me. The highlight for me was their amazing collection of keychains—they had this beautiful wall completely adorned with them, and as a keychain collector, I found it absolutely mesmerizing. The food was also delightful, and what was really special was how we stumbled upon this place by chance. The server who attended to us was exceptionally friendly. We struck up a pleasant conversation, and he offered me a wonderful deal. I had mentioned that I was craving pancakes, but unfortunately, they weren't on the menu. Instead, he suggested trying their "what the fries" dish, and I have to say, it was incredibly delicious! While everything else we ordered was tasty, I did encounter a little hiccup with my meal. I had requested non-garlic food, but it came with onions instead. I felt bad asking for an exchange, but the staff were very understanding and graciously accommodated my request. Their kindness made a real difference in the experience. Overall, our brunch was fantastic, and the value was quite good, too. For the four of us, the bill came to only a hundred dollars, which felt very reasonable for the amount and quality of food we enjoyed. Plus, we even got a little treat, which was a lovely bonus. Everyone at the restaurant was so warm and welcoming, making our visit truly enjoyable. I left feeling grateful for such a wonderful experience.

My group ordered a bunch of things to share. Overall, the charcuteries boards were tasty! They were a tad heavy on the bread but it was also delicious. The dessert with various dipping sauces was a highlight for us. The staff were very accommodating with requests for sides or extras of various items. The only con we all noticed was the music got quite loud after about 7/8PM to the point we had to kind of yell to hear each other. The vibe of the restaurant overall is very cozy and casual so that is a plus. The music volume took away from that just a tad. Overall, would definitely come back here. Tasty food, great service, and cozy!

Came for a little girls night with a friend. We shared a bottle of wine and a charcuterie and it was perfect. We sat on the patio and had a good time. The service was super quick and our server Parker was amazing :)

We went on a Friday at 4pm hoping for seats at the bar. It was packed so we had to get a table in the bar area. Service was attentive and helpful. We ate: charcuterie tray, 4-flavor bruschetta, meatballs with goat cheese, and took a panini To Go. All the foods were fantastic and the $6 happy hour wines did not disappoint

We had a great happy hour here! We love Postino Boulder and were looking forward to trying the Austin location. Great drinks (& prices!) and delicious bites… the meatballs were especially delish! Very friendly service (from Tony, i believe?) in the lounge area last Saturday. Highly recommend 🌟

Postino is delish! This place feels more like a place for drinks, given the vibes. But who cares when they have some great food?! I absolutely love their bruschetta options. There are so many choices for vegetarians and each one is so good! And they have some good paninis too.

Not just good food, it’s an experience. This was the perfect charming restaurant for an intimate girls night. We got to share appetizers and drink good wine. Definitely recommend Postino for something a little different.

We had an amazing experience at El Postino on South Lamar! We tried a variety of their boards and dishes, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We started with the Brie Apple Pear Fig board and the Sweet and Spicy Pepper board — the perfect balance of creamy, sweet, and a little heat. The Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato and the Salami & Pesto boards were also outstanding, packed with bold flavors and top-quality ingredients. The House Meatballs & Goat Cheese were a standout — tender, savory meatballs in a rich pomodoro sauce, paired perfectly with the creamy goat cheese and fresh focaccia. Absolute comfort food done right. We also loved the Shrimp Scampi — buttery, tender jumbo shrimp with artichokes and a kick from the Calabrian chilies, topped off with a light chablis spritz. It felt both decadent and fresh at the same time. Finally, the Chicken & Mozzarella Panini hit the spot — warm, melty, and super satisfying. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud. Perfect spot for a casual night out or a long, leisurely meal with friends. We’ll definitely be back!

Postino in South Lamar is a must place to go to! Our Yelp Elite week was convenient to schedule a busy day to try out the Bruschetta and wine. My son and I tried the salmon, prosciutto, chef’s special and sweet and spicy. All superb. Bread was fresh (had reviewed a different location and this location definitely much better!). Fiore wine was surprisingly quenching and recommended. We also ordered panini-west coast and potato soup—perfect for the weather. Shout out to a cool and friendly server Megan and front staff! We skipped the wait by seating out and happy we did. They have umbrella and heaters that were necessary for the wet and cold weather! Love the parking location! Separate building, covered and with plenty of signs you won’t go wrong! Elevators don’t work yet but not too bad to take the stairs. Parking was definitely a plus considering parking choices around other establishments. Highly recommended!

I had been to Postinos south once before for a happy hour with some coworkers and recently returned to meet up with some friends so it was time to review! The restaurant is cute with both indoor seating and a nice patio area with umbrellas if it isn't mid-July temperatures. Our server was friendly and attentive and kept my water full which is always a big plus in my book. Most important as always- the food! I ordered a bruschetta board: -Brie, Apple & Fig- delicious! It doesn't look like much but the combo of flavors was top knotch, loved the rich cheese and the crispness of the apple, and the amount of toppings was perfect with the amount of bread. 2nd favorite. -Burrata, Bacon, Arugula, and Tomato- this one looks great, I love the tomatoes piled on top, and it was juicy and tasty with a nice punch of flavor from the bacon. This was my 3rd favorite but I have nothing bad to say about it, I just liked the other 2 even more! This is a solid choice. -Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio- least favorite and I actually didn't love it, wouldn't order this one again. The toppings tasted good, but the ratio of toppings to bread was way off. Each bite tasted 90% of bread with a little smear of cheese and some pistachio. I think it really needs more cheese. -Mushroom and Mascarpone- The BEST. It's probably mostly because I love mushrooms, but there was a mountain of mushrooms! The toppings were piled on there and they were perfectly sauteed and juicy and went so well with the mascarpone! We fought over this one lol. I also ordered a cocktail, the Tre Cucumber- it was delicious but a bit dangerous! It comes in a relatively small glass, and it went down fast and was strong. Maybe I would do better with the same drink over more ice in a taller cup lol, but I had to specifically not order a 2nd because it was too easy to drink. They do have a parking garage and validate for 1 free hour- it's easiest if you download the parking app then you can just scan the QR code at the table (ask your server if you don't see it) and it gives you the free hour.

Love the location and decor. Jackson was our server he was AMAZING making sure that we had everything we needed and enjoyed. Go Jackson can’t wait to come see you again love amazing service! We tried the bruschetta board the salmon one was by far our favorite, second French onion and sweet and spicy pepper jam with goat cheese. Jackson recommended trying the chef's special soup at the moment it was a lentil soup delicious. I will be back just for that! We tried a white wine from Germany called Perfekt which was delicious and my new favorite. There is so much to try can’t wait to bring hubby back for date night.

- TOP RANKED #1 BEST REVIEW! - Postino is finally in Austin! After more than ten years here, I can’t begin to express how thrilling this is. As someone who’s had the joy of visiting Postino locations across the country—from Arizona to Texas to Colorado—this long-awaited opening is nothing short of a dream come true. I’m originally from Arizona and have been a loyal fan of every Postino there. Since moving to Austin, I’ve often thought, ‘This city NEEDS a Postino!’ And now, that day has arrived. It’s about time, and it’s everything we hoped for and more! The chance to be part of their first “unofficial” opening night felt like an honor. The atmosphere? Absolutely electric. Postino has brought its signature charm, warmth, and top-tier service to Austin without missing a beat. The team was not only attentive and welcoming but genuinely went above and beyond. They were proactive in checking on every table, making engaging conversation, and addressing any potential delays with open, thoughtful communication—just what you’d hope for in a standout dining experience. And then, there’s the food and drink. From their fabulous small plates to the stellar wine selection, every bite and sip was a reminder of why Postino is loved coast to coast. Each dish arrived beautifully presented, with flavors as exciting as they are comforting. It’s rare to see a restaurant at capacity still delivering such personalized care and attention to detail, and Postino made it look effortless. A special shoutout to their legendary Board & Bottle—a Postino must. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s the ultimate way to dive into their delicious spreads paired with an outstanding bottle of wine. To the entire Postino team, thank you for making Austin feel even more like home. This was the perfect first experience, and I’m counting down the days until my next visit. Keep up the incredible work and keep this energy flowing—you’ve made so many Austin food lovers’ dreams come true. Enjoy the photos! I tried to capture as much of this unforgettable night as possible to share with you all.

I had a great experience at Postino! The food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Service was outstanding as well; Gabriel and Pablo were both attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout my meal. The only thing I’d note is that the atmosphere felt a little too dark for my taste. While it added a cozy vibe, I personally prefer a brighter dining environment. Still, it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the food and service. Would definitely recommend, and I’ll be back again!

It is more suited for a snack or a quick bite instead of a dinner. - Bruschetta: we tried 4 flavors; 1) Warm artichoke spread: it was ok. 2) Sweet n’ spicy pepper jam & goat cheese: it was our favorite. 3) Prosciutto di parma, fig, mascarpone: it was bad! Had zero taste, I doubt that it had figs. 4) Ricotta, dates, and pistachios: meh, it was too bland. - Crispy Cauliflower: they served a whole head of cauliflower. It wasn’t crispy and the sauce wasn’t distributed. - Chef’s charcuterie board: it was the best part of the meal! The peppers were good. - West coaster panini: it was OK but more of a lunch meal instead of dinner

I have only been once to this restaurant and food and drinks were very good. I tried to go again this past week for HH but now you have to pay to park in the attached parking garage. I don’t think this is fair on the business. I realize this isn’t their rule. When I can go to so many other restaurants on south Lamar and park for free why bother paying to park here. Even Lamar union and multi level parking further down South Lamar by Fig restaurant don’t charge to park.

We visited Postino at 7 p.m. on a Saturday night for a triple birthday celebration. The ambiance is inviting, with a menu focused on charcuterie, bruschetta, paninis, and salads. While we had high hopes, the evening had several avoidable issues. Our reserved table wasn’t ready, and we were seated awkwardly with two tables of different sizes against a wine rack, making one guest uneasy due to proximity to customers and servers grabbing bottles. Despite ample space elsewhere, the placement wasn’t suited to our celebration. Our server, though kind, was disorganized. Drinks and water refills took notably long, and two food issues arose: one overly greasy panini and an incomplete bruschetta. When we pointed out the missing protein, the server insisted it was correct until we pressed further. No manager checked in, despite multiple issues—disappointing given our special occasion. Additionally, our server wasn’t familiar with the menu; when we asked for insight, she simply pointed to items. There was also a mix up with payment that resulted in a voided transaction. And lastly, the evening ended on an awkward note when we overheard her talking about our group as we left. While the drinks and appetizers were tasty, the overall experience was a letdown. We expected more from what could have been a truly special night.
