Visited on a Tuesday night so as you can see there was no one else in the bar. That considered, we had a great experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's a very loud bar but most bars are loud. The architecture is beautiful, history interesting and the mood lighting makes it even better. Would recommend!
Super cool spot, great drinks, knowledgeable servers and staff. A must if in town.

Better prices with better pours than the other bar we tried tonight. $5 Titos, and $5 Jameson mixed drinks. Other good specials. Check with the front door dude.. They didn't have live music when we were there (7-8pm ish) but the drink prices were better, and it was seni-quiet enough to converse without shouting. Upstairs was closed on Tuesday night, but they had beer pong by the stairs.
Great atmosphere! Live band was playing as we drank our $2 mimosas. Excellent bartender. Clean place, good bathrooms. If you are not use to a somewhat skechy neighborhood tho, do not come here. The establishment was great, and I grew up in LA so this was no biggie for me.
Best club on 6th, by far the best door guys, bartenders are top notch and surprisingly well priced!
It was a Monday night and the place had a ton of people so I stopped into make a pour choice. I decided to get the liquor pitcher because its two shots for only $5. They got a bunch of cool games. It was the fact the bar was filled with beautiful women that made my day.

The place is a bit different during the day versus the evening. They had live music and a decent crowd. Good place to check for a drink and then visit other bars.
This was a cool bar on 6th. One of the few left, and the only one that seemed open during the week during the day. Great drink prices. Had some live music going from a two piece band. Seating at the bar and a few tables. The bathrooms could use help - you were warned.

Came for a couple drinks when on a bachelor party. It was a good time on 6th Street! Didn’t eat though. This review is more based on ambience and feel of the bar. Got a drink fast!

Staff weren’t super helpful and kind of rude. Bouncer made sure to let three girls cut the (only like 5 ppl) line as if they were VIPs. Like there’s nobody in line just tell them to hop on line like everyone else. Super lame.
We were looking for a layover spot to wait on another establishment to open and chose to stop in for a few drinks. Being earlier in the day, E 6th had not yet turned into Dirty 6th, rendering this bar a good place for a few drinks. I would expect a loud environment here, just like in any other bar down the block. Along with the drinks we were easily entertained by the hoops game, but if basketball is not your thing, you may find the claw game more interesting. Either way the prices are reasonable, even for slightly watered-down drinks, and the atmosphere is manageable. Cheers!

I would really appreciate if the bartender wears a mask at least while taking the order, and if offers what's on the happy hour. Great live music, 2 stars are for the band.
Was denied entry because I have a service dog. The front host was very nice as he was only doing what his supervisor told him to do. His supervisor advised him no service dogs when he texted for clarification. She wasn’t barking or being a nuisance in anyway to be denied at entry either. This is was early at 3 pm

Had a fun time until the door man would not let my wife and I LEAVE the venue unless we paid him cash. Scumbag. How could you hire someone who purposefully does not let patrons leave unless you pay them? Disgusting. We refused and walked out. Please fix this TRASH, Pour Choices. Your side door “bouncer” (as of 12/31/2023) is a low life. Allow people to LEAVE if they choose to. I consider this a major hazard, especially if someone is having a medical issue. Patrons shouldn’t be hounded for money for trying to leave the venue.
If you charge me $8 for a beer, it better be cold!
Experienced a hate crime here from management - don't come here if you're queer or trans. My friends and I went in last night. I lost my phone and we went back to look for it. We showed our IDs at the front and went into the bathroom to check. The manager saw us and started screaming and shoving my friend out of the bathroom, even after trying to show her our IDs to show that we were in fact in the right bathroom. 6 or 7 bouncers showed up and dragged us out of the bar, they broke my friends knuckle and they fractured my nose.
A place like this shouldn't be charging more than $5 for anything, let alone $9. It's also due for at least some new furniture if not a renovation.
As a bar on the weekends, this place does okay. The drinks are more expensive than average. The service is normally terrible and the staff always has some sort of an attitude. For awhile now this bar has been holding the Kill Tony sign ups on Mondays. Myself and every other comedian included absolutely hates this place. The atmosphere is horrible, the patio looks and feels like it's a few years from falling off. As I said, the drinks are way over priced. Nobody wants to drink here, they go to another bar to drink and come back for the sign ups. They just recently decided to stop letting dogs in which is absolutely silly when you are in Austin, TX and you hold the Kill Tony sign ups. Overall this place is crappy, the staff is crappy, the drinks are crappy and how a place like this ever got a hold of the Kill Tony sign ups is beyond me. They don't try and appeal to comedians, in fact they treat them like garbage so nobody wants to give them any business. As a normal crappy bar, it's okay, there's nothing special to it and it doesn't stand out. You are better off going to Shakespeare's, Buck Wild, El Chupacabra, etc. Going to pour choices is a major poor choice.
I recently visited Pour Choices with friends, and unfortunately, our experience was less than ideal. We were served water that didn't taste quite right, which raised concerns at the time. Unfortunately, the next day, a few of us developed severe throat pain and began feeling unwell. It's disappointing to think that what should have been a simple and safe part of our meal may have led to these health issues. I hope the establishment takes this feedback seriously and ensures the quality and safety of their drinks in the future.
Walked in & ordered a round. Bartender charged me $57 for 3 shots and completely ignored me when I was trying to get her attention about it. Then the bouncer started to literally push/nudge me out of the way because he was trying to get other girls free drinks. I said excuse me I’m trying to get the bartenders attention and he says “well so am I and you’re in the way” .. ? Never again. I’m a bartender myself. This place is absolute garbage.
Never go here I was charged for 1 shot I left the bar forgot I left my card when I returned they spent 40 dollars off my card without my permission
