I recently visited Mama's Bar, and it was a fantastic experience. The place has a cozy vibe that's perfect for a chill night out. Mama's Bar has a warm and inviting feel. It's not too fancy, just a great spot to relax and enjoy yourself. The staff at Mama's Bar are super friendly and attentive. They made me feel welcome. Quick service and genuine to make my night great. The drink selection at Mama's Bar is good. Classic cocktails cool place with a friendly vibe, great service, and awesome drinks. Whether you're out with friends or on a date, it's a solid choice for a laid-back and enjoyable night. I recommend checking it out!

Doesn’t look like much from the outside but it was perfect for playing some card games - a quintessential dive bar. I wanted to give a special shoutout to our bartender Josh. We wanted cocktails and without the right ingredients he did his absolute best to improvise and the drinks turned out AMAZING, genuinely some of the best we’ve ever had and he is so so nice and friendly, checking in on us throughout the night. Can’t wait to be back for their game night!

Nice little bar. The food is decent for bar food. I suggest getting the bacon cheeseburger. Also ordered their chicken wings, but felt they were overpriced at $9 for 3 wings not too mention there was way too much lemon seasoning on these wings. The place itself is laid back and the drinks are good.

Mama's is a super divey bar. Not my favorite. I was there on a fairly empty night and yet the few people that were there seemed quite odd.. Don't know if this is the same place as the one that serves food.. But didn't see anything that looked remotely edible. The drinks well priced though. Don't think i'll be coming back here.

Literally the worst bar I have been to in New York City, including the extremely dirty Mars Bar (RIP). The bartender was rude, overcharged me for a drink when he had stated the price earlier, and took a long time despite the fact that the bar had maybe 10 other people in it. Additionally, when I went to pay- I only had a 20 on me (bought two whiskey cokes)- he said the total was 20$. Since a 20 was all I had on me, I handed it to him, and turned to go sit at a table. He then has the nerve to say to me "This is only 20 dollars, I said the total was 20, I expect a tip." I was completely baffled. Dude, a tip is optional, and given your behavior you don't deserve one. Climb down from your high horse, this isn't a ritzy joint- it's a crappy bar in alphabet city...you aren't kidding anyone. Additionally, the decor was stained and gross- not worth the 20 minutes and crappy drink I paid for.

Mama's Bar needs new furniture. I hate going places and the furniture is shaky, the high tables. The Mac and cheese came out and looked like it was microwaved and previously frozen. The chicken was great but no blue cheese. They just ran out. My problem is the service. I got water and it was white and foamy at the top. When I asked the waitress why she replied "it's probably a bunch of soap" AND SHE LEFT THE WATER. when the male waiter came by I said to him. "She said there is a bunch of water in here. Can I have a new one. He got it but I didn't drink it. When the bill came out, I was also surprised.....

She was obviously sick, and one of the regulars even offered to bring her soup the next day to help her feel better. Despite her being sick and constantly blowing her nose and touching her nose, she did not wash her hands at all. I ordered a vodka soda when she had a tissue up her nose, she went ahead and made it, did not wash her snotty hands at all, and grabbed a straw for my drink with those unclean hands as well. This is very unprofessional and unsafe. I now feel like im coming down with a sore throat and illness, probably because her germs transferred from her blowing her nose to making my drink and touching my straw.

Here for the margarita March and this is the worst margarita I have ever tasted in my life. Cheap as hell and disgusting. 😒 Taste the way sewer water smell

This bar used to be great. Great people and great vibes. Then they got a management change or something. Went back several times since and the large social crowds are gone. It's now a dive with no redeeming qualities

I really don't like leaving negative reviews but the waitress basically told our party to leave the restaurant for no reason besides her terrible attitude. When my friend and I arrived, she immediately came over and demanded that we order something, even though we didn't have a chance to look at the menu because we got there 30 seconds before. Immediately after she brought our drinks over, she brought us the check and stood there until we paid. We thought that she was rude to us, but when our friend arrived later she really turned it up. As soon as he sat down, she came over and went on about how you can't sit down if you're not ordering anything. Mind you, he just arrived. He tried to defend himself and say that he was going to order something, but she basically told us to leave, even though 2/3 people there had already paid for their drinks and the third was obviously going to buy something as well. If this explanation doesn't seem coherent, it's because it was a very bizarre experience. As someone who's worked in a service job, I get that you have bad days and don't want to be nice. But to actively drive paying customers out makes no sense.
