Lugar muy muy hermoso y con buena calidad en sus productos y servicios y música 🎶 en vivo frente a la laguna de bacalar. Lo único que si buscáis un sabor a coco 🥥 coco 🥥 por lo menos por mi paladar me supo a nada y es diferente a otros cocos que he probado en otros lugares o pais. Por lo demás 100% lo recomendamos y la atención del personal y la Musica y el local y el ambiente 10/10.

Buen lugar para tomar una bebida, compartir una entrada y bailar al ritmo del grupo en vivo. El personal muy atento y los costos accesibles. En general el ambiente es relajado e incluso familiar.

We went there at night when we arrived to Bacalar to eat something haha it was the only place open with food. There was a live band playing, super cool experience. And the guacamole was the best I've tried so far in Mexico and not overpriced. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place! During my week long visit to Bacalar, I went four times! Jonathan was incredibly helpful every time I went - he even went out of his way to get me a seat when the place was totally packed. This is the spot for live music. I loved my shrimp tacos too! I 100% recommend La Catrina!

Live music 🎶 and great food - what more could you ask for? I paid 200 pesos for fish with veggies and rice. The portion was a decent size! My partner had the pizza 🍕 for 230 pesos and it was cooked in a proper pizza oven. This place is romantic for a date or fun for a group! Get there earlier in the evening on weekends to guarantee a table.

This was my first time here on my many trips to Bacalar and man was I impressed. This Restaurant has a real good atmosphere, the type of music they play is real good and the live bands are impressive. Now the food was superb, I ordered hamburger, arrachera nachos and arrachera tacos. The meats were at their perfect point the texture and taste was amazing. I will definitely be recommending friends and family to visit this location I was not disappointed and on my next visit I will be going to this restaurant again.

Great place for live music and a dance floor area to flow with the Caribbean ways, very good customer service our waiter was on spot! Music started at 9pm (no parking area, only street parking - if lucky) taxi is the best option to get there. Bathrooms are rustic following the place style, but everybody was there to have s great time. We will return for more.

La Catrina was a fantastic spot! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the live show added a lot to the experience. People were dancing salsa and other Latin music, which made the place feel alive and festive. We had a couple of drinks, and they were excellent. The pizza, while not quite like what you’d find in Rome, was surprisingly good-especially considering it’s a Mexican twist on pizza. It hit the spot and complemented the lively ambiance perfectly. We highly recommend visiting La Catrina! If it hadn’t been our last night in Bacalar, we’d definitely be coming back for another round.

We came to La Catrina twice on our 3 day trip to Bacalar because it was so amazing. The atmosphere is energetic but romantic and the staff is fantastic! I'd like to especially call attention to Paco who speaks perfect English and has not only a great sense of humor but a good memory- he remembered us AND our drink choices! The music is so good, with local bands playing nightly. The power went out in the area one night, and the kitchen STILL prepared our food in the dark and Paco entertained us with jokes and reassurances. I believe La Catrina to be one of the places along the Lagoon that truly reflects the magic of Bacalar.

Very nice bar with live entertainment at night time. It was Friday night. (so check their schedule for the band). Prices are very reasonable. A TiP: If you see an empty table, just sit at it as soon as you can. Otherwise some one else will. That's what the waiter told me. The place was full on Friday night. As for the food we tried: it was half and half mexican and vegetarian pizza, also habañero chicken wings. The food was great. Just be careful with the sauce you choose for the wings. Even my mexican friends were crying while eating the wings. Just in case I was ordering whiskey shots separately and mixed it myself with coke. The service is very friendly and fast even when being full.

My girlfriend and I ended up at this restaurant by chance lured by the music and the lack of alternatives that night in Bacalar. We could not have made a better choice as the place was packed because of the band playing live music. Beautiful atmosphere with lots of people getting into cumbia dancing( both many tourists and Mexicans). Ordering (two ceviches) took a while but it was worth it because the fish was very fresh and seasoned deliciously. The only downside was that the music was quite loud and it was difficult to converse but the atmosphere was too good.

Folks this is the place to be when in Bacalar. The food is amazing the drinks are wonderful. The newest addition of the wood burning pizza oven along with the Italian pizza makers is a total hit. Nosotros como turistas nos encantó catrina ya que nos tocó un día de salsa y bailamos muchísimo el Ambiente es muy bueno. Solamente las cervezas estaban un poco calientes pero de ahí en más para una noche de baile en Bacalar recomendado :)

Es un lugar con buen ambiente me gustó que hubiera música en vivo, en la carta puedes encontrar variedad de comida , desde mariscos, hamburguesas, pizzas etc . En bebidas también tienen variedad desde cervezas, mojitos, margaritas y cócteleria en general, los precios son accesibles no es muy caro pero tampoco barato, yo creo que $200 a $300 por persona depende de lo que pidas, el personal muy amable desde que llegamos lo único que no me agradó mucho fue el sanitario ya que es pequeño y tenías que esperar pero de ahí en general todo bien, nosotros pedimos 2 cervezas de a un litro y una pizza para 2 personas fueron $440 pesos esto puede variar depende la pizza y bebida que pidas < si andás por bacalar date una escapada para disfrutar, también hay otras opciones depende lo que te agrade 8 de 10👍

Agradable lugar para tomar un trago y una botana por la noche. Tienen musica en vivo y el ritmo que domina es la salsa. Buena variedad de bebidas y diversas opciones para cenar/botanear. Estuvimos ahí de 20:00 a 00:00 y la pasamos muy bien. Ambiente agradable.

Un excelente espacio para convivir, beber algo y disfrutar, excelente selección de música y suelen tener música en vivo!

Beautiful location and cheapest of the area as everywhere is expensive for the view overlooking the water. We were a table of 2 only people in the restaurant and the waitress still was inattentive. Music was way too loud for there just being us there. food was prepared fresh so bit of a wait but super tasty. The other staff were friendly and the chefs were nice. I would recommend going one or two streets over to find cheaper more locals type food. Cocktails were on happy hour but just ok

This place was pretty decent. Pizza and guacamole were great, but the rest of the food and drinks wasn't up to par. So if you're trying to decide what you want, I definitely recommend trying the pizza if you're at La Catrina! I personally got the Margherita Pizza (160 pesos) and the guacamole (100 pesos). The reason why I gave it a 3 star rating was that the drinks weren't really made that well. They tasted watered down and was completely different from what we ordered. The only one they got right was the drinks we ordered for my friend's birthday since they didn't have to add anything to it. There were also stray dogs everywhere getting aggressive with one another and that they were stealing food from people's tables. Also it might be better to go during the day time if you're with little kids since at night there are a lot of drunk party animals that like to dance and stray dogs looking for an easy meal from unoccupied tables.

Comprendo que, por razones de suministro o presupuesto, algunos establecimientos opten por variaciones; sin embargo, tratándose de un restaurante ubicado en una zona turística, con precios y lineamientos que lo posicionan como una propuesta sólida, esta modificación resulta particularmente llamativa. El peso y el sabor del queso utilizado —posiblemente gouda— dominaron por completo el perfil del platillo, opacando la salsa de jitomate, la albahaca y la masa. Quien elige una pizza Margherita suele buscar un bocado fresco, equilibrado y ligero; en este caso, la preparación se aleja de esa intención clásica. Como nota favorable, la masa presenta una receta bien lograda: correcta en textura y cocción, y elaborada con notable rapidez, un punto a favor en términos operativos y de experiencia de servicio. P. D. Sería recomendable contar siempre con chile seco triturado, un acompañante esencial en la cocina italiana.

We came hete around 19 and we were the only guests. The nachos are literally the worst I’ve eaten in Mexico. They were cold, the beef was like processed beef (Spam beef), the nachos were swimming in the cheese… and this for 150 pesos. The pizza’s are good, otherwise this place got 1 star

Please do not order the nachos, you will feel sick by even looking at them , also probably the worst mojito I’ve had in my life’s travels! Service was mediocre and prices not that reasonable for what you get. Bathrooms are also nasty , would not come back! It’s a happening place only because there is nothing else open late! Also , dogs peeing on chairs with people sitting on them. Two stars it’s actually very generous!

La comida no es lo esperado por los precios y ni que se diga del servicio de los meseros, es pésimo, los baños están asquerosos y diminutos, prácticamente la puerta queda en tu cara. Y ni que se diga del olor a humo que colocan, es fatal, no se puede ni respirar, en época de lluvia todo se te moja al ser una palapa sin mantenimiento. La gente asiste por la música en vivo pero si supieran que los maltratan y les mal pagan... asco de personas.

Siendo un amante de los animales, no me parece que la dueña trae a su perro y le pega enfrente de todos cuando es la irresponsabilidad de la dueña la reacción del perro, no es un ambiente para mascotas, ya que la música es muy alta y causa estrés en la mascota. Vinimos el día de ayer y pasaron unos bailarines a hacer su presentación, tenían unos disfraces de plumas y el perro mordió a una de ellas, la dueña salió corriendo a pegar a su mascota que camina libre por el local sin correa. El día de hoy tienen una presentación de baile de flamenco y nuevamente el perro se lanzó a morder a una bailarina en medio de su presentación, nuevamente llega corriendo la dueña a pegarle a su perrito. Se le comentó al mesero la situación y nos respondió de mala manera que es la mascota de la dueña y que si vamos a pedir algo más o no. NO es un ambiente sano para el animalito y hay que ser responsables con su clientela y personal.
