This is one of my favorite places to eat. The staff is friendly, the restaurant and bathroom is clean, and the food is delicious. My mother gets the cheese curds with her meal and I always steal a few to have with the fry sauce.

We went after 2pm so not packed as expected. Service was friendly, food was so delicious had double stack burger and cheese curds. Custard was amazing had the hawaiian, with macadamia nuts, strawberry and pineapple, so good. My first time there and I was so happy. Wish I took pictures but food smelled too good to wait.

I've passed by this place for a couple of years. But this past Saturday my daughter asked me to stop. All I can say is I'm glad I did! The burger and fries were DELICIOUS! Fresh and very tasty! Their homemade sauce is so good! I will definitely be going back very soon. I recommend it to everyone!

I am very indecisive when it comes to ordering and I always feel bad, but she waited until I was ready and answered all my questions and maintained great customer service the entire time. She also made sure everything was right and went above and beyond with a smile on her face. I hope they appreciate her she is a wonderful worker!

The employees were very friendly. The food was delicious. The fries are very small but they give you a lot. The ice cream is thick and creamy. Very good. Will come back here again. Updated review: 03/25/22 I still really enjoy the food here. The burgers are a bit thin but are still enjoyable. The onion rings are the greatest. They don't have a lot of flavor. Just tastes like crunch oil. I do enjoy the ice creams they have. My favorite is the Vanilla Malt Shake.

Custards could be better, IMHO— they basically taste like every other fast food ice cream, but with more creative flavors. But regardless of that, this place is so so good. Was in town and ran into Freddy's so we decided to grab a bite to eat. Overall we had a great experience, and wouldn't hesitate to stop by again. Their customer service was excellent! We were greeted when we came in, and everyone was super friendly and helpful. After receiving our food, we were checked on multiple times. We even had our desserts delivered to us at the table. Food was in point. I tried the bacon and cheese double steakburger and it was super tasty. The size wasn't huge or overly filling, which was good because it left room for dessert. The whole family chowed down on everything they ordered so it must have been good. Thank you Freddy's for a great dining experience.

It was my first time here and I really liked the atmosphere. Prices are a little high but not too bad. Customer service was good. I only ordered Chili Cheese Fries to give it a try. I actually ordered it to go but they gave it to me to dine in. The young man who handed it to me made it right by making my order to go. He was very apologetic and nice about it. No name tag so can't really say thanks on here. Will definitely be coming back to try other foods!

We love Freddy's. The onion rings are simply amazing. The meals are a good size you so come out full. The staff and atmosphere are always enjoyable. Love the frozen custard. Better than ice cream. This is the peanut butter crunch and banana sundae.

The food, service, and atmosphere here is great. The burgers have some of th best tasting patties around. They serve thin fresh cut fries, as thin as in n outs but with burger Kings crunchy taste. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to eat at.

It was my first time trying and it did not disappoint. The hamburgers are very good and the fries are great. The custard was so good and over all this is a good place and I will definitely eat it again!

The chocolate with Oreo Freddy's Frozen Custard is really good. Just came in to try it on a whim, and now I am really looking forward to getting another. Next time I am going to try the vanilla with strawberry and cheesecake add-ins.

Chelsea & Camden were awesome. From the order, to the presentation and to our stomachs...this place is freaking great! The spicy chicken sandwich was cooked crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Not overly crisp, just right! The patty melt was by far one of the best I've had in 9 years. The pumpernickel bread was heavenly! It existed with the swiss cheese in perfect harmony to bring out the meats natural flavor! The cute lil shoestring fries were so scrumptious and the in house dipping sauce was bomb-diddy-bomb!!!

My food is always hot and delicious, the food is on point, the atmosphere is good I love the decorations and pictures you get to see a lot from the history of it. The custard ice cream is really good and the place is customer friendly, they have plenty around. A great place to eat with the family or grab a quick bite.

There is finally a Freddy's in California, and I do not care about driving 2 hours to eat it. I love everything about this place. The food is out of this world fan fair 😋 and the restaurant decor matches with red and chrome dinner seats. I ordered the chili cheese dog with fries and a drink because I was intimidated by their double patty burgers. But I was mistaken to think the chili dog would be any smaller. My all beef dog and bun were covered in beef chili, shredded cheddar cheese, and diced onions. I am craving it again already, but please know the star of the show are their fries. They are thinly sliced sticks of fried potatoe that are different than any fry you've had at any other franchise. Every fry was cooked perfectly. I also highly recommend ordering their double smash burgers, onion rings, and Peanut Butter Cup & Banana custard sundae. I ordered all of this before leaving back home. It was so worth it, and it made the drive home even better.

We enjoy Freddy’s. Unfortunately we do not have one close to our house, so we like to visit if one is nearby. We enjoy their steakburgers and fries 🍟 and their spicy fry sauce. What In-N-Out should be. Delicious smash burgers with crispy brown edges and shoestring fries. You can even get your fries with chili and cheese, onions too if you prefer. The frozen custard is a treat. Get a turtle sundae and share for a guilt-free experience. Update: new menu item - you must try the cheese curds.

Love this Burger place. The burgers buns are light and not to thick. The flavors of a steak burgers and steak fries really does stand out.. They also offer cheese melt and my favorite the Philly-Cheese steak sandwiches as well as chili dogs and chili cheese fries.

Clean, delicious and fast. I'm not an ice cream fan but their custard is the best soft serve out there. Their sauce is good and the onion the put on their chilly cheese fries give it that extra kick it needs to make it super delicious. I only wish there were more Freddy's. We need one in NorCal or maybe one close to Hwy 5.

Food is decent. But a bit overpriced to me. Have not had their custards despite it being a frozen custard restraunt. But I have enjoyed the food I've tried so far. The fry sauce is pretty awesome too. Will definitely come back, but not some place I'd pay to have frequently.

First time ever. My partner and I were given complimentary meal cards and decided to give Freddy's a try. We were surprised how home-cooked the burger tasted, it was nice change from the old standard. I personally liked the crisp shoestring fries. We also tried the frozen custard turtle Sunday and an Oreo cookie concrete. We will definitely come back and try some of the other frozen custard desserts. For me, the onion rings were a little too greasy.

Love Freddy’s burgers and fry’s! Especially their fry sauce. I have to say though their Resturant in Bakersfield is not not well kept. Every time I go in there the tables, floors and windows are dirty. I wash my own table to sit and eat. It’s been a regular thing for a couple of months now so someone is slacking on their job. It’s a shame since the food is so good. It makes you wonder if you can see the filth what’s going on that you can’t see. Come on guys. Let’s get it together please.

The foods good, steakburger was a bit on the cooler side since the cheese didn't melt but that's no big deal for me. The concrete is delicious though, It takes me back to a place I went to in AZ years ago.The location seems to be pretty busy in the evening, and the staff here are pretty friendly not overly friendly either just enough which is fine by me. Overall a nice burger joint, with good food. My folks run a fast food chain restaurant as well and I know hot food is something that people take note of, it is one of the reasons why their place stays busy aside from the quality of food and the customer service. For me I'm not a picky person and I don't mind it but from a restaurant owners perspective we want to keep giving more reasons for customers to keep coming back again. So for those who are visiting the area like I am and have never had Freddy's definitely go try it out, it is something different from the other chain restaurants and the custards won't disappoint for sure.

The line is always so long and it doesn't go quickly. The chicken strips are a little too peppery for me but I'm really there for the custard. The custard is worth the wait. It melts before I can get it home but it is delicious and totally worth it. My mother and SO really likes the burgers.

My wife and I came here for the last time. It wasn't bad. I wish I would of had a dessert from there. I had the Bacon and Cheese Double Steakburger and Chili cheese fries. Large order about $12.50 I'm glad my wife had ketchup in her car cause we didn't get any. The customer service was good! I felt bad cause I always asked for something else when I thought I was done. I enjoyed their sauce, I asked for thousand island sauce and peppers. The peppers were nice and spicy. The Burger was a 3½ ⭐ stars for me. Chili cheese fries were good. Not super salty like wienerschnitzel. I'll definitely try them again the next time I'm in town. I've been trying many new different places and still have many to go.

They have decent food. Their steak burgers taste good but aren't going to win any awards. Their fry sauce is excellent though. The main attraction, however, is their frozen custard. You can get the frosty treat as a shake but I'd say the best way to go is "concrete", where they blend the custard and other ingredients together while keeping it thick, like a dairy queen blizzard. I'm not a fan of banana but their concrete PBC&B is ridiculously good.

I’m from SoCal and I come to Bako to visit relatives. Hubby looooves Freddy’s but the closest one from our place is an hour drive. Restaurant is clean, service is great, the food is deliciouse and was well prepared.

So similar as In N Out burger same style. Extra points because their ice cream desserts. Good place but not a big deal

The Calloway location is the best one to go to , I have the steak burger ... it was good ...but my preference is the chicken sandwich ... they give you a good amount of food for the price ... they fries are seasoned well ... sometimes they can be a little salty, but nothing bad . The frozen custard is so good !! First time trying it and I enjoyed it :)

First time here, ordered the bacon and cheese steakburger, was very good. Shoestring French fries were cooked perfectly, also they have good onion rings. Will be adding this to my list of restaurants, when I go to Bakersfield to do my shopping

I love Freddy's! One manager there in particular is literally the best in the whole world. Her customer service is top tier. Take notes Freddy's staff. Match that energy. The food is always great and if there's a mistake they gladly fix it. When I lived in AZ for a bit my kids loved another burger custard place and now they love this one. If you like burgers this is the spot. And if you have a sweet tooth, you can't go wrong with their concretes or sundae. UPDATE: I ordered delivery. Worst ever 🥴 see attached photos. I also asked for no bacon......

Got there about an hour before they close, half the dining room was closed already. Was greeted right away, and ordered promptly. Was my first time trying out this place, so just went with the regular #1 meal and some cheese curds. Food was made promptly and the burger was delicious, the fries were a little bit salty for me, but they were good. Cheese curds were really good as well. Would definitely recommend this place, and will be back again soon.

This is my first visit to this restaurant and I only had chili and a soft drink. The chili was good even though it was different from my usual chili. I did not try their signature custards. The restaurant itself is an interesting change from other fast food places. There are several menu items that will make it a change of pace. The decor is distinctive too, reminding me of drive-ins of a bygone era. I will certainly visit again when I'm in the area.

It reminded me like an in and out. The shoestring fries are almost the same. However the burger was way better than in and out by far! I tried the custard vanilla. Its a texture you don't expect when eating it so you'll have to stop your brain from thinking about ice cream in froyo. It was good however.

The burgers were good. The fries are true shoelace fries (very thin) and you get a good portion with your order. Maybe it was an off day but it took forever to get our food. I was waiting for 20 minutes before my order was ready. Everything tasted good but definitely not the place for a quick bite if you're in a hurry. Overall it's ok, a little pricey but I'll give it another shot.

Having spent years in the Midwest, my fast-food frozen custard benchmark is Culver's and, unfortunately, Freddy's pales in comparison. Burgers were not super flavorful and a little too greasy. The shake my wife ordered was straight chocolate custard and wasn't a pleasant flavored version at that. The highlight of the meal was the Reese's peanut butter. 'concrete', which I genuinely enjoyed - but couldn't salvage our $30+ lunch for two.

Grossly expensive over 10.00 for a burger. Air conditioning was not on. Two employees sleeping on customer eating areas. They looked exhausted. We bought 5 burgers and two custards.

It’s so sad to see what was once a delicious place to go and eat. To see it run down. The smell of dirty wet mop or towel hits you in the face as soon as you walk in. The drinking fountain smelled. The soda tasted dirty with no carbonation. We finished our food waiting for our concretes. When we approached the cashier, we were told that our concretes were destroyed. Not sure why ???? The ones we received were melted. I feel this establishment still has the potential to make it a more cleaner and better experience. They just need to put the care and hard work back into it.

The 1st time i had this place the fries were itty bitty BUT seasoned, it was amazing. This second time around, I probably wont ever again. Food didnt have flavor and neither did the fries.

Went through the drive-thru line, took a little while to get my food but that's not the problem. First, the girl hands me the greasiest paper bag I've ever seen with my food in it. So right off the bat I thought that was odd. Second I get home and realized they stacked the fries on top of each other in the boxes and stacked those on top of the cheese curds and the fry boxes which squished all the cheese curds together and made a big greasy/cheesy ball by the time I got home. And lastly, I open up the box for my patty melt and it literally looks like they dropped it, threw it in the box and served it to me. The sandwich didn't even look like it was supposed to be a sandwich. It was just meat onions and bread in a box. I had to build my own sandwich. I was reluctant to eat it because like I said, It looks like they had just dropped it and do it in a box for me. Certain things go through your mind when you get your food and it's a mess. Very disappointed that the employees would serve that to their customers.

I went to Freddie's back in the day when they first opened. It was lousy and didn't think I would be back, ever! Decided to give it a second chance and the only thing that has changed, is the crazy prices. $17 for a Prime Burger combo. And the Prime was a slice of prime rib on a burger that was no bigger than a cheeseburger from Mickie Ds One plus was the young lady who took my order.

We were so excited to eat here tonight and it smelled so disgusting that we had to leave. It smells like rancid fry oil or something.

We love Freddy’s; but today my son wanted to dine in. Walking in the building smelled bad and it normally does not smell; but I could smell the lack of cleaning and dirt mats and drain smell. Upon bearing thru the smell we ordered. Staff was super friendly, we came 1030/11ish quite a few flies flying around the fries I ordered I could taste the dirty oil that was being used, and it was very hard to eat. I did not finish my fries because I could taste the oil that was used, and they tasted so harsh like dirty fryer oil. I really hope they clean better and maybe change out the oil because we do really enjoy going to Freddy’s

Honestly, the first time I ever had Freddy’s a few years ago it was amazing. However when I had it the other day I was disappointed. The customer service was great but the food was a miss this time. My veggie burger was just over powered with the thousand island sauce & it made my buns a little soppy. It didn’t help that they didn’t toast the buns well enough to begin with. I’d give them another chance though.

Absolutely horrible. First time eating here. My whole order was wrong. I ordered a double steak burger with bacon with no mustard and got a single with just ketchup.i I also ordered chili fries and got no chili. My sons meal has double meat when it was supposed to be a single. I sent it back and once again they got it wrong. My husband ordered a chili dog with onion and he didn’t even get chili. The chili and fries were cold. When I say the chili was cold. It tasted like it was straight out of the fridge. I was really excited about trying this place out. Was even going to order a dessert but the quality of the food was awful. Won’t be returning. The only good thing was the cashier was helpful and nice.

I have had the worst experience today coming to this location. Other times were amazing but this time was terrible. I had a simple order that was on the receipt but the burger was wrong so I just asked politely if I can just get it remade correctly and all I here in the back is an employee making a remark stating that he asked for everything but the receipt clearly shows what I've ordered. Once everything was correct. The fries were way over seasoned. To the point were it tasted like they dumped the whole container and said they were fine. Worst experience. Will wait out for a year or two for a new crew because that one was terrible.

The food here is pretty great, however this Freddy's consistently has problems with order accuracy. I don't go often and one of the big reasons is because of this, still with the relatively few times we go in a year we have one or two instances of this. In one event I ordered extra seasoning on the app, didn't receive it, when I talked to an employee about they said "Oh, we haven't had those bottles for a while", I asked what I should do about it and the response was "We can't do anything about it", and really it was left at it.

Waited 20 minutes in drive through line for order, no one else in line and they still managed to mess up my order (asked for no pickles on my spicy sandwich) and of course they put the spicy sauce only on the pickles (which I do not like and specifically requested for none) first and last time ever going again! $41 down the drain!

Second time I've been disappointed here. First was two months ago when I treated my sister out to dinner, the food was cold and lacking flavor. No salt on fires and when I went to ask for salt it came in packets and not the shaker. Last night we out to get a malt shake for my birthday, husband's treat. When we pulled up could visibly see cashier roll her eyes that we were coming in. Then when receiving my 'malt' shake there was no malt. Had forgotten it. They weren't busy, had one car in the drive when we pulled up and one as we were leaving. The cashier and front worker wanted to get back to their phones in the corner. We won't be coming back. You're welcome a family of 8 no longer to serve.

I was on my lunch break for work when I stopped by Freddy's for lunch where I waited there for almost a hour In a drive though of no cars and one table seated inside with at least 4 people working and waited my entire lunch break just to be handed the only 2 food items that I ordered without the drinks to go with the 2 meals that I ordered and without any dipping sauces to go along with it when I requested these things i had to wait another 10 mins for them! Then I go home to quickly eat my lunch cause I was already late for work, just to find out they gave me little to no cheese curds and got my order on my burger completely incorrect! This is very wierd for Freddy's cause me and my family love going here and have always enjoyed there food and service but today they lost a customer!

The burger was lace thin and I asked for no onions and got nothing but condiments. The burger and onion rings were $13. Rip off!

The lady in the drive was nice enough, thats the only reason I have it two stars. But it took almost 20 minutes to get our food in the drive thru. Then when we finally did get our food, the fries were cold, and the order was missing parts. We will not be back again. Im sure they won't miss the business, atleast thats what they acted like when it comes to their service.

Just received my dbl burger and FF and onion rings , fries are literally cold, and my burger is sad to say cold too.. I didn't get and fry sauce for either order or fries or Onion rings, rings are like warm at best.., when I called just now, NO ANSWER . Imagine that... Not a good impression for a first time order.. McDonald's does better..at least it's hot when it comes
