I was there 2 years ago for my wife’s birthday and we just made reservations for our anniversary next weekend! I will be posting pictures so you all can see all the good food. Well we made it back to celebrate our anniversary and my brothers birthday. The crew that worked the tables were excellent, food was amazing, glad we made it back.

Amazing. Went after dinner dor drinks, dessert and Bocce. Learned how to play from some coworkers. Peaches and home made tiramisu were really good! Loves meeting the chef/Owner and had a very family Italian vibe.

First time in little Italy Baltimore and at La Scala authentic Italian restaurant. Very warm yet classy atmosphere inside. Super sweet and nice waitress. The food is really good, pasta was perfect Al Dente. Food taste authentic Italian with perfect amounts of spices not overwhelming. We definitely will return in the future. Worth the visit for a great dinner.

Four years ago, while on vacation we stumbled in here for dinner. It was amazing then, and we've made a point to go once a year and it's never disappointed. The bartenders are the best. Worth the 3 hour drive from Jersey.

La Scala is probably the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Everything was delicious down the herb butter served with the bread. Our cocktails were made perfectly. The espresso martini went straight to the top of our favorites list and the tiramisu was to die for. Even being stuffed from the goat cheese bruschetta and creamy seafood pasta dishes, we managed to eat every bite of that dessert. If you haven’t been here yet, go! You will not be sorry you did.

Incredible food from start to finish. Wine list is extensive. We got to meet Chef Nino and he was so kind. Everything was delicious. Calamari was super light and crispy, Pasta was handmade and perfectly cooked. The Fettucine Samantha had a ton of flavor. That sauce is to die for. Appetizers, all amazing. Can't go wrong. People loved the shrimp toast special. Steak was super tender. Seafood was super fresh. Even got an espresso martini which was their specialty - it went down smooth. The best I've ever had. There's nothing wrong I can say about this place, they even had a bocce court inside We could play in. Decorations were impeccable. Will definitely come back again.

Lovely place, great food I think anything you order will be good, my server Michelle was amazing I hope she gets the compensation she deserves b/c she was knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The whole experience was great. I found parking down the block and walked over no problem finding the restaurant. It is located in little Italy and there are other places near by for awakening taste buds.

Crowded place, gotta have reservations. Saturday night dinner with nine people. Sat us on time and our waiter was excellent at explaining everything. Grilled Caesar has changed over the years and is not what I remembered, still great but less charred. Everything else was also delicious. Ample serving sizes and prompt service. A completely different bottled water, making this place unique.

I’ve been wanting to dine at La Scala for a few years now and I’m so glad I finally got the opportunity! My friends and I made reservations for a busy Saturday night. The food and drinks were amazing! I highly recommend the Fettuccine Samantha! Sooooo good! My friend and I shared the special grilled Caesar salad. The char of the romaine lettuce added a lot of flavor. Our server was amazing! It was a slam packed Saturday night and she was attentive and made the dining experience great!

This was our first visit to this beautiful hidden Baltimore gem. The restaurant crossed our path through the recommendation of friends. We will definitely be back. Quaint Atmosphere, Great Service and Friendly Staff.... Most importantly, our food was beautifully plated and was simply delicious and served promptly from the kitchen. Per the menu, dishes are cooked to order! Yummy...Soooo good!! I was in heaven. This was definitely the perfect spot to celebrate our beautiful mom on mother's day! Looking forward to the next visit!!

Fantastic restaurant in little Italy that we will definitely be returning to. La Scala combines a hardworking baltimore attitude with an old school Italian environment. This combination is pulled off very well by way of a diligent staff led by a beloved Italian Chef. The restaurant is a combination of a row homes and although it may seem busy the staff makes you feel right at home allowing you to fully enjoy the experience. Don’t be afraid to try a more creative option as you’ll be well rewarded with a delicious meal.

First great atmosphere. Jose and Bulock the best at providing service! The food causes me to come back tomorrow....then the tomorrow after that. I look forward to our next visit with my wife/love.

We’ve had this baby on our list for some time now and I am disappointed it took us this long to finally dine in. The food is listed in order from the best to the best LOL everything was soooo good!! The lobster Regina is a fan favorite and it definitely lives up to reputation! Great service as well. Definitely recommend!

My daughter and I just spent a wonderful time here celebrating her 1st year in business. Our waiter, Jose' was awesome. He was very pleasant. Chef Nino came out to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. Our busser, Prabir was equally as pleasant and concerned that we were happy. I'm glad my daughter found this gem and suggested we come here. We will be back.

Love! Love! Love! Food is fantastic. The portion sizes are large. Flavors are on point. Price is to be expected but honestly for what you get it isn't bad at all. The family who owns the place are super friendly. I felt so welcome from the time we walked in the door and to the time we left. It is a must visit. I'll be back for sure! Pictures: Bday Tiramisu Lobster Regina- lobster and jumbo crab in a red pepper cream sauce Side of penna marinara (comes with Veal Baltimore) Side of fettuccine Alfredo (ordered because I'm not a fan of marinara) Veal Baltimore- Veal scallopini with crab, shrimp in a wine sauce!!!

Who says Baltimore can’t do good Italian!? Whoever it is hasn’t been to La Scala. 🤌 La Scala is great Italian spot in Little Italy next to Harbor East in Baltimore. The Chicken Parm and pasta were great and they were very accommodating to our two kids. Thank you! The atmosphere was decorated with Christmas and was very festive. Can’t wait to go back when the weather is nice. A must try for all Italian food lovers!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! They treated me so well. Michael my server was a true gem - so professional and friendly. I felt taken care of and catered to. I had their moscato- 👌 I also tried their Grilled Caesar salad - 😋 Finally my entree, Mahi-mahi done beautifully it came with penne done to your taste. I kept it simple; garlic dressed. The meal was so satisfying. I couldn't eat another bite! Next time I'm in Baltimore ill definitely be back.

Had an amazing time here...a great place to celebrate special moments. Beautiful restaurant....lovely ambiance, nice service and the food was all incredible. Best pasta ever, probably better than i had in Italy lol. Can't wait to come back again 🥳

Best pasta this side of the world. Loved the warm homey feel of the interior. Close to family owned because the staff are almost like family. The camaraderie between them, the jokes, the banter, the engagement with customers was warm and friendly. Had the Lobster Stuffed with Crab with Pasta in a Vodka Cream Sauce. There’s also the pasta named after Samantha the Baltimore food blogger. Paired with the perfect wines, you’ll love this place. Try it

My wife and I go here for date night anytime we can find a babysitter for the kids. We love the atmosphere, the ambiance, and most of all the food. La Scala is our go-to anytime we’re in the mood for Italian because no place else matches the menu. We always order the grilled Caesar salad to start off and the lobster special never disappoints. The sauce is so creamy and delicious we continue to eat far after we’re full just because the taste is out of this world. We’re moving to Florida soon and will miss this place for sure, but we’ll come back here anytime we come back to visit! 5 out of 5 stars

I had an absolutely splendid experience. Angelina was amazing and had wonderful recommendations for us. The ambiance is perfect and the food was incredible. My appetizer was the mozzarella, pancetta and shrimp bread. My entree was the lobster Regina and my dessert was the lemon sorbet. I’m excited to come visit again and try everything else they have to offer. Don’t let yourself miss out on this amazing place!

Went here to celebrate my sisters graduation and the service was phenomenal always on top of water refills and extra bread. The olive oil was delicious. The sea bass was so flavorful. The fettuccine bolognese was delicious and made awesome leftovers.

I visited this restaurant with my spouse on a random night out and I was not disappointed. The delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and superb customer service made our experience dining here exceptional. I cannot wait to visit this establishment again, and hopefully recommend it to others who don't know what they're missing out on.

I went here tonight for my birthday dinner. Tony was fantastic! Everything was so so delicious. I ordered the Lobster Regina & it was legit one of the best dishes I have ever eaten. Great wine menu! Attentive & prompt service! I will definitely be back!

This spot was recommended via social media. I took a chance and made a reservation and it didn't disappoint. Portion sizes were good (we ask to split Caesar salad) . Prices also reasonable. Atmosphere pretty simple so I gave 4 stars. It did have a bocce in basement so that's dope . I would recommend for sure.

La Scala was right around the corner from our hotel. We’d been looking forward to eating here, and it didn’t disappoint! Everything was excellent!! Make a reservation if you can. Thankfully, there was room at the bar for us when we walked in. Hubby enjoyed steak Al’s way, and I loved the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. Bartender was great. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!!

Delicious food, fast service, calm and romantic atmosphere. A fast favorite in Baltimore’s Little Italy. The portions were a good size and everything was delicious. Perfect for a date night out with a partner or small group

We had a nice dinner before a concert. Our waiters were so nice, friendly & efficient. They took time to talk as well as give great service. The espresso martini was delicious. I don't like coffee but even I ordered one. Food was fresh & presented nicely. We made a reservation but didn't really need it because we were there at 5pm. The restaurant has a unique layout with a bocce ball court.

Thank you Peggy, Aria and LaScala for your attentive and kind service to our guests last night. The food was outstanding. Your service perfection. Your kindness a joy. The atmosphere Sicilian. Grazie Mille!

The grilled caesar salad lived up to its reputation. I really enjoyed the grilled flavor (without the grilling, the salad would have be just a good salad and unremarkable as the dressing and cheese were fine but not special). The Funghi Abbruzzese was in contrast was just ok. The mozzerella dominated the dish, in other words too much that was just melted instead of browned to add some nutty flavor. Service and atmosphere was very nice.

Few months ago I came sat at the bar had a martini espresso. This time I came back just for the espresso martini and ate dinner. I will come back again for the espresso martini. Food was good. Service was great. They sat us with out a reservation but we went when it opened at 4:30. Will def go back.

Delicious food. Great service. Lots of space. Bocce. A great dining experience. Our server, Casey, was polite, attentive, and helpful throughout dinner. The specials were delectable! An excellent date night. Highly recommend.

La Scala was excellent. Cozy, classic Italian vibe with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The pasta and other Italian dishes were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying — everything tasted homemade. Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot for a relaxed dinner with friends or family.

We were unsure about where to eat, but lucky my friend Andrea and I stumbled upon La Scala. We were absolutely amazed by the delicious authentic food but especially the warmth the staff granted us. Both our stomachs and hearts are full! We would return from Texas to just have food here again.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the food, pairings, different options, and how to make going out for dinner an experience. They never stopped making espresso martinis for the 2 hours we were there so those have to be a signature drink. The lobster regnia was wonderful.

Omg!!! I can’t express how much I love this place! The atmosphere, the food, and the service 12/10!!! I loved the grilled Caesar salad and my fettuccine was to die for 😩😩😩😩. I recommend this place to everyone. I will be back very soon.

10/10 experience. The bartenders and Chef Nino were great! All the staff were very attentive, personable, and kind. Went for Happy Hour and tried almost everything on the HH menu, everything was delicious! The grilled Cesar was one of the best I’ve ever had. Also, the espresso martini is the best around! Will definitely go back again and bring family too next time. This restaurant is also huge and a beautiful view anywhere you sit.

Great atmosphere, large menu with specials as well, lots of choices for wines by glass. Head chef was in the lobby chatting with folks. We let them know it was an awesome meal.

This was an unbelievable amazing experience. The service was top notch and the food was beyond words. They served our table a five course meal that was for the ages. If you want amazing food and a great experience in dining please visit LA Scala's.

I ordered Spaghetti con Funghi but it’s spicy. It is very unexpected as the menu didn’t indicate it — unlike for example, Gamberi a Diavolo, specifically mentions “spicy tomato sauce”. Aside from this, the spaghetti itself is fine, chewy, in a good way. Server is helpful, but the front reception is pretty slow. I waited quite a while before someone reached out.

My first experience at La Scala was a party of 4; myself and my girlfriend and a buddy with his girlfriend. All in all, I love the ambiance of the restaurant. It truly gives the upscale feel without the gaudyness typically associated with a dining room of "ritzy" caliber. The server we had was very knowledgeable, but we had some times where we would be waiting just a bit longer than normal to have him come back and take our requests. That minor occurrence aside, he was able to give us all the specials without hesitation (and there were a ton!) and also helped us select a wonderful bottle of wine. The appetizers we selected were the calamari and the bruschetta. I'm sure that everyone has ordered tons of calamari and bruschetta in their lives, but I HIGHLY recommend both. The calamari was golden and delicious, with such a slight coating on the squid that it was perfectly flavored without overpowering the squid taste. The mouthfeel was impeccable. As for the bruschetta, mix up the tomatoes and goat cheese, add some of the house balsamic on the table, and get ready for a flavor bomb. For our mains, we got the veal ossobucco and the fettuccine Samantha. The fettuccine Samantha came out as a generous portion, with such a rustic beautiful plating presentation. The lump crab meat mixed into the tomato sauce was a wonderful combination, and my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. The veal ossobucco was just a little cold, and didn't have as much sauce/drippings as I would have liked. The flavor was still there, but the fat also wasn't completely rendered. The homemade pasta on both dishes was impeccable, however. It truly makes a difference. For dessert, the ladies had espresso martinis and we shared pistachio cannolis. The drinks and cannolis were a great end to the night. The martinis had a decadent, slightly creamy taste which was a treat. The cannolis, of which I had never had pistachio flavor before, are definitely worth trying! I give this a solid 4/5 stars. I will absolutely be back again!

Nice restaurant in Little Italy. Wait staff busy and attentive without interfering. Whichever one walks by, he takes care of your issue such as removing a plate, re-filling water, or something else. The food was really good and it was prepared as if by mama Italy herself. I loved the plate of cold green beans that was presented before the meal.

Great place to eat Italian food. The owner is Italian. You can play bocce. The octopus appetizer was incredible. The portions are very good. The waitress was very kind. We share a plate and they divided without any problem

Atmosphere: 8/10 Food: 7/10 Service: 8/10 La Scala is excellent, but for an Italian restaurant in Little Italy of Baltimore it needs to achieve slightly more. The food is on point, but is just textbook Italian. The flavors were a bit conservative, with less acidity than needed and a conservative use of olive oil. The service is excellent without question. I absolutely recommend a visit, but perhaps not before trying other Italian restaurants nearby first.

It’s really pretty in the inside, felt like I was in Italy! However, I was not impressed! My fettuccine Samantha was flavorless, outside of the heavy spinach taste. I saw this meal on tik tok & was overly excited for it which may have added to my disappointment. The drinks were awesome, especially the expresso martini! The waiters were professional and nice, because of the staff I increased my score from two stars to three stars. As the only black people in the restaurant, we received alot of awkward stares. Felt very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t go back

B

Food was delicious. We ordered gamberi fra diavolo, calamari and veal chop. Everything tasted fresh and had great flavor. Knocking off stars because our specific server was so disrespectful and rude. My husband noted we were coming to celebrate our anniversary with our young kids. From the moment we walked in Casey/kacey rolled her eyes and clearly upset we brought our kids to our very early res. She spoke to us with an attitude and left us unattended for a good 20 mins - when returning she said "you all good" with a numbs up.... Disappointed in the lack of professionalism to say the least esp after being treated poorly. We drove up from Annapolis to celebrate and Casey ruined the vibe for sure. Luckily service from the other wait staff was lovely.

La Scala – Disappointed by the Quality (Not Recommended for Large Parties) Rated 4 Stars – My Experience: 1 Star We had dinner at La Scala last night with a large family group of 11, and the experience was a major disappointment. Because of our group size, we were required to order from a fixed menu priced at $80 per person, which included gratuity but not alcohol. We weren’t concerned about the cost—we were hoping for a quality dining experience. What we got felt more like a cheap wedding banquet—rushed, impersonal, and not at all worth the hype. We had mentioned a food allergy when the reservation was made, but it was never communicated to our server. After several attempts to bring it up, the allergy was finally acknowledged during the second course, and only then was a separate menu brought out. The server apologized and admitted she hadn’t been informed. We were brought up a spiral staircase to the third floor—even with a guest in our group who had mobility limitations—and seated in a cramped corner of a back room. The service overall was cold and inattentive. The food was equally underwhelming. The caprese salad had underripe, flavorless tomatoes. The calamari was undercooked. The grilled Caesar was fine but unremarkable. The penne alla vodka was the one standout—well-prepared and flavorful. The chicken parmesan, however, had a sharp, off-putting taste that the chef attributed to “organic eggs.” It didn’t go over well at our table. Dessert was a shared platter of tiramisu and profiteroles—just one small piece per person. We also added two bottles of wine ($40 each) and three cocktails, which pushed the total to about $1,200. But again, this isn’t about the money—it’s the lack of quality and care that stood out most. Would I go back? No. Would I recommend La Scala? Not at all. Large groups, especially those with dietary needs, should steer clear.
