Una cafetería absolutamente maravillosa. Los empleados te acogen amablemente y son súper respetuosos. El ambiente es tranquilo y súper agradable, ideal para pasar un rato y estar como en tu casa. Una cafetería encantadora en pleno centro de Barcelona. El ambiente es acogedor y perfecto tanto para una pausa tranquila como para reunirse con amigos. El café es excelente y la calidad de los productos se nota en cada detalle. Pero lo que realmente marca la diferencia es el servicio, especialmente el de Kareen. Atento,, amable y siempre con una sonrisa, hace que la experiencia sea aún más especial. Su trato cercano y profesional convierte una simple visita en algo que quieres repetir. Sin duda, un lugar totalmente recomendable si estás por el centro y buscas buena calidad y un servicio excepcional.

En mi primera visita puedo decir que un lugar muy top para tomar café de especialidad en plena Barcelona. Los cafés son de muy alta calidad, espuma deliciosa y consistente, con un sabor delicioso y bien preparado (puedes pedirlos más intensos o suaves). Un personal con un trato repleto de dones, son súper amables, cercanos y te tratan con mucho amor. Un sitio muy acogedor para volver con un amante del buen café.

I’ve been to Kafenion a few times now, and it’s one of those places that instantly makes you feel at ease. The coffee is excellent — especially the freddo espresso — properly made, balanced, and clearly done by people who really care about what they’re serving. The space is cozy and relaxed, perfect for slowing down for a bit rather than rushing in and out. What really makes the difference, though, is the people. Giorgos is genuinely welcoming, always up for a quick chat, and happy to explain the coffee or recommend something if you’re unsure. It feels less like a café and more like a neighbourhood spot where you’re treated like a regular, even on your first visit. A great place for quality coffee, good vibes, and authentic hospitality. ☕️

This is our third visit to Kafenion, but the first time in Barcelona. We loved meeting the owner Ibrahim and had the best frappes & Bougatsa we ever had, outside of Greece. It was lovely to be submerged in the Greek culture, yet also in a very modern way. The food and drinks were amazing, and the team super friendly, kind and professional. And the coffee is GREAT, had a cappuccino and a Greek coffee and they are some of the best we’ve had in Barcelona. Kafenion is a lovely speciality coffee spot in Barcelona that feels calm and cosy. The coffee was very good and well made, the kind you enjoy slowly. The homemade pastries were also fresh and genuinely tasty. Karem was very friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit feel even better. We ended up playing backgammon and stayed longer than we expected. It is the kind of cafe you remember because of both the quality and the atmosphere. Easy to recommend.

Ask google to recommend me a cafe that is near passeig de gracia and this cafe is one of those with so much of amazing reviews. Well, those review are not scams for sure! This is really and amazing cafe with absolutely great service. So warm and so welcoming. I was offered something tiny, white sweet cube of something. I stopped one of the barista to ask whats that and wanting to buy more of it. He immediately offered me more of it and even cut me a whole cube and packed it for me. WITH NO COST. Well im not telling you to ask for it to get the free stuff but its the hospitality of offering from the heart. He knows that my pie will take long to make and he ensured I had something while i was waiting. Btw the sweet thing is called 'halva'. Thank you Adrian for making my first sip of coffee in the beautiful city of Barcelona a sweet one! P.s my husband enjoyed it equally! I love this place so much !!!!!!

Si tuviera que destacar algo seria el calor que hacia dentro siendo agosto en barcelona. Se estaba mejor fuera sinceramente, no entiendo porque tenian las puertas de entrada cerradas. Sobre la comida, pedimos una limonada muy rica y un hojaldre de masa filo con queso feta que estaba de 10, una pena el calor que hacia. El local es pequeño pero bonito y la mayoria de mesas son para 2 personas.

El ambiente de este lugar me encantó, la música y la decoración están super cool!! El café delicioso!!! Muy recomendado!

Mucho calor en el sitio, no funcionaba el aire acondicionado. El café para mi gusto tenía sabor a quemado, sin embargo, si que recomendaría la limonada y las cosas griegas de pasta filo que tienen para comer, la de queso feta estaba espectacular.

Si buscas café de especialidad decente, no es es el lugar. A pesar de tener varios orígenes las tostiones son demasiado altas, propias de café comercial. La comida muy bien y el ambiente tambien. Los chicos tienen muy buena energía! No cash friendly***

I don’t understand the positive reviews. We ordered four coffees and one orange juice. Although the juice was not listed on the menu, the staff told us they had it. The coffees arrived after about five minutes, but without any sugar or spoons. We stayed for over half an hour, yet never received the orange juice, despite asking for it at least twice. The coffee itself was average and definitely not speciality.
