Estuve cenando con mi mujer una noche durante nuestra estancia en Barcelona. Lo encontramos de casualidad porque nos quedaba cerca del hotel pero decidimos ir alli porque nos gusta ese tipo de comida y he de decir que fue un acierto total. Pedimos el maffa de arroz y el yassa y ambos buenísimos. Para rematar, decidimos probar los mojitos y la verdad que estaban increíblemente ricos. Además el personal muy amable y la relación calidad-precio muy buena.

Lugar en el centro del Raval que va perfecto si te apetece comida casera Africana y a buen precio después de un día de compras, paseo por el centro y quitarte este calor con un buen bisap o zumo de jengibre Los platos son abundantes así que lo más recomendable es pedir media ración de varios platos para así degustar la verdadera África. Se repite seguro.

La mejor comida para alguien con el presupuesto ajustado. Raciones super generosas y sabrosas. Mi favorito el arroz con pollo y salsa de cacahuetes.

The best hidden gem in Barcelona hands down. Delicious food, cold drinks (ginger lemonade is lovely), great and FAST service — very no frills but that’s its charm. We come here every time we visit Barcelona (sometimes 2 or 3 times during one trip!!) it’s THAT good. The Maffe is the star of the menu but honestly anything you order is delicious. The owner is very kind and accommodating always. Don’t miss out on Foni. 🤗

We had the Yassa and Boudienne, which were both phenomenal in the own right. We also had multiple rounds of the ginger drink, which was perfect for our tastes. The prices were also phenomenal. Highly recommended.

We stopped by Foni just for a drink, but it turned into one of the highlights of our night. The mojito? Absolutely next level: fresh, perfectly balanced, and made with care. You can taste the difference. But it wasn’t just the cocktail that made the experience special. The atmosphere is alive with music, color, and warmth. There’s something magnetic about the space The menu looked amazing, and if the food is anything like the drinks, we’re in for a treat. Can’t wait to return.

Really good Gambian/Senegalese food. We had a group of three and shared half plates of the ceebujen, yassa poulet, and maafe with couscous, along with ginger and bissap (hibiscus) juice. We are here twice, once for lunch and for dinner. The menu is the same. The dishes are abundant and ordered half-dishes. We loved the food. The restaurant has outside patio dining. The interior is a little hole in the wall. Don’t let appearance influence you. The food is fantastic. The drinks are delicious, pineapple + lemon + ginger, and hibiscus + ginger.

A hidden gem, was SO tasty, people were super friendly, not the best looking place inside but I don't think that matters when the food tastes this good. Authentic and huge portions, if you're not hungry would recommend half portion. Food is so reasonably priced and who can say no to a 5 euro mojito Had the Maffe (bomb)

Food is really good. It’s also very affordable too: 7€ for a full dish of chicken and rice, and 4.5€ for a great mojito. I really recommend the chicken maffé, which is made in a peanut sauce.

Very tasty and fresh food! The Maafe and Thieboudiene are delicious. The selfmade ginger lemonade is refreshing and very healthy. Very good prices, portions and the food is always hot. Perfect service!

Amazing mojitos, very cheqp prices. Very friendly staff. This is a true local bar away from the tourist area. The food seems excellent. We are trying it tomorrow. The place is a must and you should give it a go.

Por fuera no es gran cosa, pero hemos comido allí porque queríamos probar algo muy diferente a la gran oferta gastronómica de Barcelona. No nos hemos equivocado, aunque el local es muy modesto la comida es auténtica y deliciosa. Nos atendieron muy bien y salimos satisfechos sin dejarnos un ojo de la cara.

Pedimos el Maffe arroz y muy recomendable. También pedimos el Thép bu yapp y muy buena la ternera. Tienen opción para pedir medio plato, porque traen muy buena cantidad. Estuvimos en la terraza y perfecto si hace buen tiempo. El servicio también muy amable.

La atención rápida y buena, los precios geniales. El thei vegetariano es una pasada me encanto el sabor😜 Y poder tener refrescos naturales como ginger o bisap genial. Fui porque un amigo de Senegal me lo recomendo... pedí 1/2 plato pero la verdad que vale la pena pedir el plato entero.

Uno de los mejores africanos de Bcn, restaurante sencillo, servicio rápido, quizá poca variedad de platos pero calidad exquisita. Calidad / precio inmejorable. De bebida, probad el Ginger!

The food tastes better than it looks,the guys are friendly there but they need to renovate their restaurant.Place doesn't look appealing to the eyes. Seemed dirty&small. The Mojito had too much Sugar in it. It took us 1hr to find. But rice was Tasty&ok. Thank you.

Awesome, great tasting, authentic West African food. With a great Afrobeats playlist. I had the Maffe Rice and Thep Bu Yapp (aka Jollof Rice) with their hot chill sauce. The owner, Haruna is also very nice and friendly. The restaurant ambience and food presentation is quite basic and can be improved. However, at £4.50 for a medium sized dish, it is reasonable. I look forward to my next visit ☺
