My cousin really liked this place so we swung by the drive thru to pick up some food. She got the Chicken Katsu plate and I ordered the Hawaiian BBQ Beef plate. Both plates also come with rice, veggies, and mac salad. You could also ask to substitute one of the rice scoops for another scoop of mac salad or vice versa for more rice. Wait time was a little long in the drive thru, there were a couple of cars in front of us while we were in line. It's probably because everything is made to order and there were many orders in line and inside.I can't comment on the service inside the place and the atmosphere there, so it will just be about the food. Everything we ordered was very delicious. I tried some of the Chicken Katsu and it was tasty, it had a nice crisp and it also came with katsu sauce too. But for me, the Hawaiian BBQ was the star of the show. The beef was flavorful, it was chewy, and I have no complaints. I'm also very particular about mac salad, but I really liked this one. It wasn't too sweet, sauce was light, and tasted slightly savory which I preferred. The veggies were a nice touch too, the cabbage was crunchy and refreshing. I would absolutely recommend this place to people if they want to get some hawaiian plate lunch or if they want to eat something good.

We were passing through and stopped for dinner. We ordered 2 plates that included BBQ Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, Island White Fish, and Kalua Pork. Both dishes came with a nice salad. They really stuff your plates. We all thought the food was very good, although the BBQ Chicken and Teriyaki Chicken kinda tasted the same but with different type of sauce.

Love there 2 protein Aloha plate. I got the Grilled Lemon Pepper Chicken & Pulled Kalua Pork, served on a bed of Steamed Rice and a side of Fresh Mix Salad with House Dressing (minus the red onions & edemame beans).

I had never tried one Hawaiian BBQ and this was my First time ever . I was impressed by how healthy it was and flavorful. I do recommend if your looking for a new dish 😋.

Hawaiian bbq was good, I ordered this 2 item plate which had white rice & a side salad, the two items I ordered was pulled pork and bbq beef. The other plate was some type of spicy chicken also great flavor. Pretty good they even have an option for fresh coconut 🥥 water! Which I LOVED, just gave me the whole experience.

This place was sooooo tasty!! I wish I lived in the area, I would definitely be a regular here. I got the aloha plate with chicken teriyaki and BBQ beef. It came with a generous amount of rice and a very delicious salad. The self serve teriyaki is amazing! The crab rangoons were good. They were definitely very fresh which meant a bit greasy, still great though. Atmosphere only gets 3 stars for me. There was a frequent and very loud beeping the whole time we were there . The front near the counter and the sauces was super crowded with people waiting for their food.

I love this place, and the value you get. I got the BBQ plate, which is like two meals. The Chicken Katsu is my favorite, and it's a nice addition with the beef and teriyaki chicken.

Taste just like it does in Hawaii! I have eaten here 4 times now. We have always been given a discount for one reason or another. This time was a 50% discount! Two meals, a large drink all for $19 tax in! The staff have always been super friendly. I read other reviews about the drive thru taking a long time. Every time we have come, we used the drive thru. We have never had to wait so either they have improved their service or other reviewers ordered a ton of food. The food is as I said, they same as if I was in Hawaii! I definitely recommend eating here.

Food was delectable the ambiance so so service is okay. We just had to go order and eat at home. So far so good for the fast food chin maybe going back again with friends.

went for the first time today with my boyfriend and we both had very different experiences with the food. my boyfriend did not have a great experience multiple pieces of his chicken katsu were like black (where the meat is not the crust) and the chicken was very spongy for him and that grossed him out, he also didn’t like the macs taste and the veggies were alright. me on the other hand had a better experience i got a bbq & katsu mix ( i didn’t like the bbq chicken or beef but the chicken katsu was pretty good) i liked the mac and didn’t eat the veggies the rice was good nothing special. if i were to go back i would only get the chicken katsu and mac and rice. my boyfriend will never be back because of his experience. total for both our meals was $28.04 (we ordered online for takeout and our food was ready at the time it said it was gonna be)

food ordered was dine in when we got our food it was messy inside and out the togo box. poor presentation. even the musubi that we ordered it is way different than the picture online. disappointed for our first time and they served everyone’s food except our food. it was so unorganized.we are hearing number 16 and 17 and we are way before this numbers and our order was still not complete and prepared. so disappointed.

I usually come to Hono Hawaiian BBQ pretty often, but this last visit left me really disappointed. I asked the newest/biggest guy working there for two teriyaki sauces, and he denied me, saying they only give one per person because they need them for other customers. When I got home, I realized he didn’t even put one in my order. It’s unbelievable that with all the money I spend here, they can’t afford to give out teriyaki sauce. That doesn’t sound right — honestly feels more like laziness than policy. I hope management addresses this, because loyal customers shouldn’t be treated this way.

Stopped in for a quick to go order. Had cold groceries in the car thinking 10-15 minutes max as the restaurant was pretty much empty. Ordered one aloha plate...took them 47 minutes to call my order. My cold food was spoiled by time I got back to my car. Disappointed in the service. Food was ok, nothing special
