This is an amazing restaurant with insanely good and fresh food. But most of all the service was so nice! I knocked over my glass and the waiter immediately came and cleaned it and just gave me a new lemonade. In general all people were very nice and kind. Great restaurant and i highly recommend it!
Palosanto is a find! Small, intimate, local. We had the octopus, Burrata salad, goat cheese croquette, and the best sangria we’ve had in Spain. The staff is friendly, the menu is in Catalon and English. Amparo was a lovely server!
Excellent value for food, everything was gorgeous, had a lovely selection of tapas and desserts with sangria for only €20 per person. Some crayons and paper on the table kept us busy while we waited for the food. Lovely family atmosphere, really cozy place, would love to go again.
Went to this café due to the novelty of it being called Dalston as this is an area in London. Apparently they were inspired on visiting there to open a hipster café. So they did. This is by far one of the coffees I’ve had in a very long time. I chose the flat white and I’m very happy that I did. Creamy, Rich and easy to drink.
I’ve had the pleasure of visiting this place with friends, and it was a positive experience: from the food to the overall atmosphere, everything was positive. All the food we tried was fantastic, but the standout dish were definitely the artichokes with jamon. The calamari, octopus, jamon, potato tortilla, papas, and the croqueta of the day were all great additions to the evening. Reasonable prices
The room is cozy (read: small :) and inviting. The tapas are delicious and beautifully prepared. The staff are friendly and genuine. The wall art is framed drawings from kids (and kids at heart) that have eaten here. 6 stars out of 5. At the risk of losing a well-kept secret off La Rambla, they deserve to be recognized for a really solid 360 degree experience. 🤘
My Unexpected Gem: Palosanto Tapas Bar in Raval I stumbled upon Palosanto Tapas Bar in Raval on a whim, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The place greeted me with a cozy vibe that felt just right for a solo dinner adventure. Romina, my waitress for the evening, was truly wonderful. Her English wasn't perfect, but her spot-on dish recommendations and her genuinely kind attitude made my visit special. It was clear she really wanted to make my dining experience memorable. The food was a standout. Those artichokes were unexpectedly amazing, and I don't think I'll stop thinking about how delicious that lobster was anytime soon. And the sangria? Absolutely divine. Every single tapa I tried was a winner, making me eager to plan my next visit. Dining alone at Palosanto was an experience I’ll cherish – it was not just about the amazing food but also the warm, welcoming atmosphere that made my evening. If you’re ever in Raval and in the mood for some fantastic tapas, Palosanto Tapas Bar is the spot. Can’t wait to go back!
Hard to go wrong here. Everything was great. Tomato country bread is a seemingly simple dish, but really stood out. Croquettes were just ok; so maybe order one to see how you like it first. Tiramisu is a must. Awesome service, and environment. Highly recommend the Red Sangria. Small space, so if you’re planning ahead, you may want to reserve. If you’re a tourist, it’s off the beaten path, which is a nice a change.
We were seated at 7pm. Not busy. We ordered drinks which were great. Service was friendly and helpful. Asst. Olives- Fresh and Delicious. Country bread with tomato and olive oil- bread was crisp with plenty of topping. Burrata- very fresh and creamy. Great to have with the bread. Fuet- the sausage was delicious and a generous portion. Huevos Roto- served HOT. The egg was perfectly cooked and you could tell it had been cooked on high heat without overcooking, perfection. The Iberian ham was also spot on over the crisp patatas bravas with tomato sauce. All fantastic. I had a beer, my wife, red wine. Then we had Tiramisu for dessert. A perfect finish. It was spot on and prepared very well. Served cool with no separation. The cake and cream were one. Excellent. This meal with drinks was 60€. I could not have a meal like this in the U.S. Thank you Palosanto!🙂
This is a must-come restaurant! This is the 2nd time we are here! We came here 4 days ago and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED the food, the environment and the staff! This time we ordered four (five actually because we had an encore with their calamari) dishes and, as predicted, they are PERFECTLY cooked and served! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST RESTAURANT IN BARCELONA! We just love it SO MUCH!
This seemingly unassuming restaurant really kickstarted my Barcelona trip well! We were famished and chanced upon it based on good reviews and none of the dishes disappointed. All dishes were very unique and had amazing burst of flavours which surprised me at each bite. The space is small, so do make reservations if possible. Service was very warm as well! Best of all, the prices were great and we were more than happy to leave a tip for them. :) thank you!
Such a lovely restaurant. Delicious tapas, freshly cooked. Recommend the octopus and artichokes. The rose wine is very good. Don’t miss it as it’s quite small

Easy to miss this place but really glad we found it. Atmosphere was lovely; traditional family restaurant feel, food was amazing, as was the service. Nice touch was the drawing materials at the table…

Lovely place, great staff, sangria and squid rings, went two nights on the trot! The area is not the greatest but don't be put off!
We ate here three times! Everything we tasted was superb! Eggs with potatoes and onions, anchovies, eggplant, squid was so tender!
What an Amazing immersive experince in the food reality of Barça!!! All good stuff! Good wine and beer!! The staff very nice and kind
Personal amable.
WELLLLLLLL. Initially we sat inside but it was a mistake because there is NO a/c or moving air. The coloring pages were interactive to look at on the walls and hope that one day my drawings would ascend there too. After a couple mins we couldn’t take the heat anymore so we took our fiesta and sangria outside to which they cleaned a table for us. The artichoke was soooo delish and the sauce was to die for. The patatas bravas was the be- sorry I drooled on my keyboard. They were the best……..baked…beautifully. And the sauce….? Don’t get me started and don’t even finish me off!! The tomato bread was mid. The anchovy bread was freaking fire. Stop by and order the patatas bravas!
I would highly recommend Palosanto. The drinks were delicious (the classic Sangria and Vermouth) and the food scrumptious. We had multiple tapas dishes which were excellent. The venue is intim…
I had high expectations for this place but was unfortunately disappointed. First of all, although the place opens at 6 PM, when we arrived slightly past 6, we were told to wait outside awkwardly for 10 - 15 minutes before we could be seated. The place was obviously empty, but it just wasn't ready to receive the guests yet. Well, we didn't care at that point, as we thought such things can happen. Furthermore, it's worth mentioning that although the place opens at 6, they don't serve food until 7 PM. I thought it was slightly odd for a "tapas bar", especially that you only find out about it once you already enter the place. Nevertheless, I didn't think of it as a big issue, as you can simply sit back, relax and enjoy some delicious sangria (for example 😉). Thirdly, and most importantly I think, we weren't received in a friendly and welcoming manner. Right from the start I felt like we were a bother to the person in charge at that point in time. They weren't rude per se, but they weren't enthusiastic either. I don't expect anyone to jump from happiness, but simply a genuine smile wouldn't hurt one bit. On top of that, the person attending us simply brought us our dishes each time without opening their mouth at all. I mean, it is nice to hear at least "here you go" or "enjoy your meal", for instance. They just looked like they really didn't want to be there. I understand that attending guests at a (somewhat) busy bar/restaurant can be quite tiring or you can simply have a bad day but I am just describing my personal experience. I don't know if anyone else felt similarly, but if the people attending guests at this bar are always like this then maybe it's not the right place for them. Lastly, overall, the food was good. However, the octopus a lot of people were raving about wasn't that tasty after all and definitely not worth its high price. Same goes to the chicken fingers, which were just okay and pretty expensive. Patatas bravas were really good and their olives and croquettes were simply delicious! Nonetheless, I think that white sangria stole the limelight that evening. It was the best sangria we've ever tried. I really wish I could give this place a better rating, but there were a few factors that have negatively influenced our dining experience. I would visit this bar again and maybe try other tapas, as I am sure it's worth it, and to see whether we were simply unlucky to come across not so enthusiastic staff or not.
La comida mal ejecutada. Y raciones pequeñas. Oferta muy limitada. Local ruidoso e incómodo. El pan con tomate. Estaba demasiado mojado.
