Piatti belli e molto saporiti in una location elegante
Locale storico nel centro di Barge. Servizio curato ed attento. Piatti sopraffini e presentazione degna del locale. Piatti mai scontati e rivisitazioni curate. Arredamento e ambiente curato. Ci torno sempre volentieri.
Super consigliato. Rapporto buono tra qualità e prezzo. Merita sicuramente una visita. Noi torneremo quanto prima.
Locale davvero molto elegante ed intimo. La cucina è davvero buona, giusta la scelta offerta e corretto il conto. Attenzione: l'ingresso è in in cortile interno, occorre guardare in alto per trovare l'insegna sopra il portone
Had lunch today, everything was perfect, thanks and see you next time 😘
Wonderful evening in best company
Perfectto
We found the restaurant by chance; the kitchen was actually already closed, but they still let us in on short notice. That spontaneous visit turned into a meal of the highest caliber, both in terms of taste and the meticulous attention to detail in the preparation. Every course was a perfect hit. Highly recommended!
Amazing family run restaurant. Beautifully presented dishes made with great care and passion by the chef. Catered perfectly for gluten free needs. Highly recommended.
A high-quality restaurant, both in terms of the food (very good first and second courses) and the restaurant's sophisticated design. Excellent wine cellar. Service was a bit slow; the owner was the only one serving (four tables occupied), and she also handled the welcome and payment. I don't know if there's usually someone there to help her, but I hope so, because waiting almost 40 minutes for dessert at the end of the evening is a bit excessive. The desserts could be improved (the chocolate strudel was soggy and cloying, a shame). I'd go back.
The atmosphere is pleasant and beautiful. The location, although fake flowers are never acceptable, is a pleasant and welcoming experience. The owner is friendly and welcoming. The food is good, although it lacks that certain something to make all the dishes stand out. The borage ravioli, topped with butter and parmesan, are a bit too overpowering, almost overpowering the delicate flavor of the borage, which I love. The risotto, however, is excellent. The pork is also excellent. The chocolate cake with a soft center, however, disappointed me. The center isn't exactly soft, and the quality of the chocolate isn't excellent. The presentation of the dishes could be improved, a bit '80s-esque. What strikes me is that it has potential that needs to grow. I'd give it a 3.5. But since I can't give half scores, a 3 would be denigrating.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not the type of customer who wants to set himself up as a food critic or anything like that. I don't usually leave negative reviews because I've never experienced anything like this. The place is very nice; it tries to show a bit of class and extravagance. The menu isn't very varied but very good; quality over quantity is better! The chef is very talented and deserves the compliments. The biggest downside of the evening was the behavior of a waiter who was absolutely rude and out of place. We had a reservation at 8:30 PM, arrived on time, and began to wait a bit, which was reasonable, even just to order while everyone else (we counted 22/23 in total) had already started eating. My girlfriend and I ordered two appetizers and two main courses around 8:45 PM. At 9:20 PM, we were served an entrée to keep us waiting... and I already knew there was presumably a (legitimate) problem in the kitchen, but we weren't told anything. At 9:40 PM, almost an hour after ordering, while the other diners' courses continued to arrive... my girlfriend and I still didn't have an appetizer. So, I politely asked the waiter, "Excuse me, was there a problem in the kitchen? We've been waiting for an appetizer for over an hour and wanted to know if everything was okay." He replied, "No, it's just that you were the last to arrive. As you can see, the dining room is full, so in the meantime they'll finish eating and then you'll be served (fake, sarcastic, nervous smile)" and left. On the bright side... the lady in charge of the dining room, and I think the restaurant, was very kind and apologized several times for the wait, confirming that there was a problem in the kitchen. At the end of the evening, he also gave us some suggestions on where to go nearby for both that evening and the next day. That's precisely why I didn't want to bring up the issue... but I think the place, and the review, unfortunately deserves it. Thank you so much for your hospitality, and once again, compliments to the chef. I'd strongly advise the waiter to adopt good manners and offer better quality to the customer, who, at that point, could have easily left the place, paying the cover charge, water, and wine, and walked out. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll return because a response like that is intolerable. Best of luck for the future!!
We arrive in Barge for work and, trusting the hotel receptionist's recommendation, we dine at the restaurant he booked. Mistake. The place is cold due to the decidedly low temperature, almost completely empty, with several lights off and inappropriate music playing. The welcome is depressing: we're seated in the back of a bare room, where one of the places is set facing the wall. Between the real cold and the punitive arrangement, the message to the customer is quite clear. We clearly communicate that one person doesn't eat cheese. The "kindly offered" entrée is a ricotta mousse. Good, perhaps, but totally unsuitable. Evidently, listening to the customer is optional. The food, it must be admitted, was tasty. It's a shame that the service manages to undermine the kitchen's every effort: inattentive and unenthusiastic. Confirming this, when it comes to dessert ordered by a man at the table, not even an extra spoonful is brought to the woman sitting next to her. Not out of politeness, not out of attentiveness: simply nothing. A detail? No, it's a photo of the service. I had planned to book a table for 12 people for the next day. After this experience, I chose another place without hesitation. It was an easy decision.
