Although this place is a bit older than the surrounding restaurants may be...the food was well prepared, flavorful and AFFORDABLE... THE PORTIONS WERE WORTH THE PRICE...I GAVE 3 STARS FOR ATMOSPHERE FOR THE MOM AND POPS FEEL... nothing to complain about. Would eat here again. Nice friendly staff.

I'm from Tennessee but a lot of my family lives in Peoria and we come and visit them at least once and year. We never leave town without stopping here! The people are so friendly and the food is delicious also you won't break the bank just to get a few sandwiches!!! Thank you for your service guys you really got something special going on there!

Well let's start off saying I didn't know they had pizza. Called and then enthusiastic person that answered the phone said it is absolutely delicious you must try it. But you know how some places are they all say their pizzas are good. So we took a chance and went over there and checked it out and bartonville Illinois. As I show a picture of this you could judge for yourself plenty of toppings, cooked to perfection, and it tasted pretty good. I will definitely be coming back. And on top of that the cost of how all the pizzas have went up, their pizzas very reasonable. Thank you for the great personality that you had even when we entered the restaurant to get our food for the evening. You guys did great.

I do mostly take out, but always order at the store. Service is very good, food is always consistently good. If you have a large order, I would call ahead. Small, but, great people behind the counter.

Ordered 8 meatballs and as I was leaving with my carry out, I realized I only had 4. Went back inside and they were very apologetic and even gave me a few extra when they gave me my other 4. Great service, very friendly and food is delicious.

One of my favorite sandwiches out there is their classic torpedo... nothing fancy just a genuinely excellent sandwich. I will get one every trip home and often eat here 2 or 3 times a trip.

I LOVE their Chef's salads!! They have a LOT of turkey, ham & cheeses. Well worth the price! Another excellent value (& GREAT taste) is the spaghetti dinner. Both choices are enough for two meals for me!!

Great lunch specials! Hot ham and cheese by itself isn't anything special... But... When it's on fresh warm bread, you can't go wrong! This place is an icon! Def will be stopping back by again!

Good, inexpensive Italian food. The service is fast and the portions are plentiful. The staff has always been pleasant and accommodating. I have only tried the pasta dishes which have all been flavorful. A salad and bread come with the pasta dinners. I haven't tried the pizza yet but I have seen other diners enjoying them and they appear to be very good. You get a good bang for your buck here. .

Please give plastic forks to people who order spaghetti. Annoyed they are hit or miss

I have ate at the LaGondola in Bartonville on numerous occassions but after picking up my order last night it concerns me. I was waiting for my order and I noticed the girl using her bare hands scooping up my noodles. NO ONE was using gloves whatsoever, they were on their personal cell phones and touching all services of the restaurant then back to touching pasta and bread. The 5-10 minutes I was waiting for my order, not ONE person washed their hands. It completely disgusted me and I am not sure I want to eat there again. The food has always been delicious but after seeing the lack of sanitation used it changes my perspective.
