The only reason I gave it only 3 stars is because I have to go to the bank and take out a loan before I can afford to eat this. I was in a friend's car when he ordered this. He asked if I wanted anything but I had to laugh since the banks were already closed. Other than the price the chicken is phenomenal.

The chicken was small and cold when I got it put Shock Me it's the first time that's ever happened the second time the chicken was still very small and I kind of felt like they just threw it in the fryer for a minute and gave it back raspberry disappointed

Not sure what is going on at chicken express, but three times in the last two weeks the chicken strips in the #1 combo regular have been so salty they were almost inedible. Considering the price, I may not be going back.

I keep giving this chicken express opportunities to do better. Once again they fail. Under cooked fries are pretty much the standard here. Every time either mine or my wife's chicken strips are dry like they have been under the heat lamp all day. I know the drive thru will move at a comically slow pace. That's normal here. The highlight of this visit was the side order of hush puppies. Someone actually placed these into a box (oddly with my cookie) and said 'this is fine'.... Was the long wait so you could run half of my hush puppies through the fryer again?!? Two stars because once in a while everything is right and it is actually good. This has become the rare exception.

I guess the usual story of waiting 30 minutes for a 12 piece order of chicken while they hand out order after order after order through the drive-through this isn’t right they’re giving away chicken that should’ve been in my order to other people coming up. Very upset with the staff they don’t care at all

Picked up food tonight in Bastrop. Had to wait 20 mins for regular tenders. Got the food home and the tenders were nugget-sized, all but 1 was old and inedible - as in jerky and almost couldn’t bite through. The green beans and roll were good at least. Their tea is tan water and way too sweet. Idk why I keep giving this place money. The staff are nice, but the food quality is terrible - especially for what they charge. Probably better off driving to Golden Chick in Elgin.

Just ordered 80 bucks of food. Got home ready to eat and they didn’t give me my family size fries. Went back, got them, no apology, nothing. Got back home and the Cole slaw was soured, biscuits were hard and dry (didn’t have rolls available). Chicken tenders are half the size they used to be. And let’s not talk about the wait time. Horrible. Won’t be back.

Well, I have got to retract my praise of the catfish. Don’t know what happened but my order was terrible. Ordered an 8 piece of fish and got fish jerky. Paper thin fillets that were hard and tasteless. Come on Chicken Express, this is not like you. Makes it tough to return when you live 25 miles away. You get home and your order is a disaster. Better check those orders before you head on home.

Overcharged for SPOILED FOOD. Our order is usually missing something or has extra things we did not ask for each time we come here. I didn’t even get a receipt with my last visit. I notice this happens when a plethora of the younger staff are there. I’m really not trying to be rude but that’s just how it goes. I asked for one mashed potato side REGULAR only to be given three, charged a strange amount, and have no receipt to further examine this. The containers with the black exes were spoiled.

I ordered a family meal at the drive through today, Sat 4/27/24 at 4:50 pm. I don’t know who made the mashed potatoes and thought they were acceptable to serve, but they were nasty, liquidy and more like gravy. I live 20 minutes away and by the time I got home to look at it, I’m definitely not going to drive all the way back to get a refund and I paid over $40 for the family meal, what a waste!

First of all, I love chicken express. I think it is personally the better of the chicken strip chains but I get burnt at this one, no joke everytime(3). Well I'm writing this because I'm frustrated after the last time. I ordered 4 piece spicy,, wife order 4 piece regular. You tell me which one you would eat, Mr Manager?
