I tried various snacks from this place (a few months ago) and they are all very good. I recommend getting a drink because the food is oily. I ordered a salty plum and kumquat green tea which is has an Asian taste, it's really really good. I also ordered a luck potion which does have lemonade in it, so if you have a sweet tooth, you can get this as well. There are also other potions as well like the mana and life potion.
A nice little tea shop that serves chicken sandwiches, fries, and other small bites with delicious teas of different types. The staff is friendly and the cafe is on the quieter side with some tables to sit and enjoy your beverages while chatting with friends. They also have a drink series of teas called life, mana, and luck potions that have edible glitter that shimmers in them. Great for a great taste and inner gamer satisfaction. All in all a wonderful place to enjoy.
Great place for foodies and people searching for something out of the ordinary. The food was delicious and staff was super friendly. They had a great selection of drinks that were both interesting and delicious. The facility was a little small but it's a growing business. I will definitely be returning for more great food and drinks.
Go to spot for yummy + custom cocktails All the food is good, either go for small bites or get the chicken sandwich, with different seasoning/flavor profiles and spiciness The drink menu is designed to be mock tails along with some classic boba drinks, so there is an option for everyone of all ages. I personally enjoy the ginger beer 👌
BEST. CHICKEN. SAMMIE. IN. HOUSTON!!! My wish has finally come to fruition. My favorite snack, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, in the form of a hot chicken sandwich. What differentiates At Cha’s sammie from Nashville Hot Chicken sammy establishments is the crispy exterior of the chicken. I don’t know what they do to create that extra crispness but they have nailed down all my expectations for a perfect fried chicken sandwich. Their chicken was sooo juicy and did not taste dry at all. The coleslaw and their special sauce are a great pairing. The Brioche bun is my ideal bun. Not to mention, At Cha’s hot sammie (the size of my hand) costs $9, which is cheapest hot chicken sammie I could find in Houston. They also have a non spicy Taiwanese chicken sammie option for $8. In my opinion, this tops most fried chicken sammie establishments in Houston (i.e. Howdy’s, Screaming Sam’s, KB Hot Chicken, Urban Bird, and Main Chick to name a few). As for the drinks they offer, they specialize in ginger beer and other fizzy drink offerings. If ginger beer is your cup of tea try it out. Otherwise, GET THEIR SAMMIE. YOU WONT REGRET IT.
Delicious burgers with great service 😍👌🏻 This place has amazing burger options and taste is amazing .chicken is soo tender and juicy and crispy at the same time. I must say this is one of the finest food places of Houston. They have very delicious popcorn and fries with different flavors . And Boba teas are so unique and tasty .last but not least the service and the sweet gesture of the staff is next level . Definitely must visit place of houston and I bet this place will be in favorite food places list for sure .
Visited for the first time today and had a wonderful experience! I ordered the hot mess and added avocado. This may not look like it from the pic, but it is A LOT of food! If you have a small stomach like myself, split it with somebody. I could not finish even half of it. Food was cooked and seasoned beautifully - all the flavors worked really well together. Also, the girl who was working the register was helpful and kind!
Food is always delicious. Chicken sandwiches are huge. Customers service is solid whenever Edwin isn’t talking too much. He should work more instead of talking to me. Maybe he has a crush on me? I’m not too sure. Just kidding. Love this place. Great place for drinks, food, and they now have a bar with some epic drinks. Keep these small businesses busy!
This little quaint and chill restuarant/snack bar is nestled in the hustle and bustle of the Bellaire district. Unlike any other place in this area, AtCha is special because it slightly strays away from the traditional tea shops that you may find in the same shopping strip. Sure, you can get a matcha vanilla latte, but you can also get some tasty flavored ginger beers that are seriously to die for (Currently sipping mine slowly because it is that good). So, Food was absolutely delicous! This weekend they had the Birria Beef Noodle soup and it was just right. I can't handle anything too spicy and this was just perfect. I'm glad I got a chance to try it since it was a special for this weekend only. The flavors match up well and it came out fresh and piping hot, garnished with lime juice and cilantro (lucky I don't have the soap gene). 10/10 would recommend. Hopefully they bring this back and make it a staple on their menu. The other thing that I absolutely love about this place is the decor! It has such a cool vibe and I love it. From the wall art, the light fixtures and the furniture. This is definitely a nice place to take a break, chill with friends or just read a book. The playlist is awesome too. Friendly workers as well and it is very well kept. If you have a chance, step outside the norm and try this place out. I promise you will be glad you did. The only thing that really sucks about the location of this spot is the parking. There are a TON of businesses in this shopping area including Great Wall supermarket so peak times are terrible. They do have two parking garages.
I tried the Hot Popcorn chicken, the hot fries, and the Stray Cat. The popcorn chicken was some of the best I have ever had and the Atcha sauce that comes with it and the fries is really good. The fries were nice and crispy with a tasty seasoning. The stray cat was very pleasant to drink. The Cherry and Yuzu mixed together well. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
The service here was great! They explained all the items on the menu and even gave some suggestions since it was my first time there. I ended up getting the Jade Tiger (Yuzu Matcha Soda)! It was really good! Fresh orange taste balanced with the bitterness of Matcha, great flavor! I will be back to try their snacks next time!
Great place, great works with friendly personalities. Great teas, coffees and surprisingly spirits as well. Food is great and my toddler loves coming here. Only thing is the smell, but goes away after actually entering the shop. Probably coming up the upstairs portion
If you are looking for a quick bite for lunch, please stop by this place. I ordered the Hot Chicken Sammy with regular spicy. I like spicy but i didn’t order extra spicy because I would like to try how their regular spicy is. 👍 love their matcha latte also Definitely I will come back to try different stuff. Limited table Food 👍 Drink 👍 Atmosphere 👍 Service 👍
I had a terrible week, and wanted to treat myself to one of my favorite teas. The place I usually get it from didn’t have it cause it’s seasonal. So I went to AtCha to try something different. They asked what I was looking for and I told them about the drink. They said what kind of tea was it? And 5 minutes later I was drinking it!!! Thank you so much! FYI ask for the chocolate milk tea with boba. You won’t regret it!
AtCha is a fantastic tea and snack bar in Chinatown, perfect for studying, working 📖 💻, or hanging out with friends and family. The vibe is always welcoming and cool. ☺️ Over the past month, I've enjoyed their signature Fairy Punch and my custom Rose Milk, and each drink has its own popping flavor. You can even customize and create eye-catching drinks! They also have great snack options; I’ve tried the regular and HOT fries 🍟 (with AtCha sauce 🔥); and I’m excited to see how their menu grows. My top 3 drinks: 1. Rose Milk (No Cake Foam @ 50% Sugar) 2. Milk Tea (w/ Boba) 3. Fairy Punch! ♥️ 🥤
Very good and interesting food selection. Feels like home a bit. The location is small so no huge groups and parking is rough due to location being a big shopping center but overall experience was amazing.
The ube smoothie and brown sugar milk tea were both great along with Hot Mess Fries, definitely would come back
Rafael & Ed and all the bar guys are wonderful here! Def one of my favorite boba/ food places in the area. Egg Sammy’s & Hot Mess Fries are good options. There’s also noodle soups and so many more options. And did I mention there’s also spiked drinks for those of you that may want some adult beverages.
Went in for lunch to catch up with a friend at Atcha, and it was perfect! The lychee ginger beer was a refreshing, uniquely balanced delight, and the crispy chicken sandwich was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly crunchy. Excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere made it an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend!
After a day of shopping, we decided to head over to Chinatown. My sister said, “I think you’ll like this place!” She knows how much of a huge fan I am of anything Nashville chicken. As we were walking in, she mentioned I should try the “Sammy.” When I ordered, the cashier said it was very similar to Nashville chicken, so of course I had to get it. YA’LL!!! O. M. G. Possibly one of THEE BEST chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was sooo good… packed with flavor and the perfect amount of spice. To make it even better, we sat at the bar chatting with the staff and the owner, which made the whole experience even more special. I normally never finish my food and always take something home… but this? It didn’t make it past the door. I almost ordered another one for tomorrow, but I restrained myself (barely). Listen to me… EAT HERE! The portion sizes are perfect, the drinks are amazing, and everything was spotless. Clean dining area, clean restrooms, and even behind the bar looked immaculate. To the staff: thank you for making my first visit so memorable. This was my very first restaurant experience in Chinatown, and I’ll be telling everyone about it. You all were awesome. I’ll definitely be back!
I got the hot mess fries with everything on it along with the hot chicken sandwich and brown sugar milk tea with less ice. The food tastes delicious, hands down the best fries I’ve tasted in a while. Other places I been to have a lot of ice even when I say i want less ice and this place put the perfect amount of ice in. The tables were clean and there were no messes. Would definitely visit again
the smell when you walk in can catch you off guard but i think it’s the area, not the shop itself. the atmosphere is very welcoming and there’s plenty of comfortable sitting places. bathrooms are clean and well stocked. the service is great and they are always willing to help and very kind and vocal. drinks are amazing while still being affordable. their yogurt and lemonades are some of the best i’ve ever had. their fries, sandwiches, and hot dogs are fresh and well seasoned. great place to hang out with loved ones!
This place is great! When I bring people to hang out in Chinatown, this has been one of my go-to spots lately. I haven’t had many of their drinks but anything Ive had has been unique and delicious. The guys working there are happy to recommend something good. It’s very clean, and has a great vibe. I’m sure it’s even cooler in the evenings. I recommend the tiger fries with chicken and soup. My picky kids LOVE the popcorn chicken. Oh and they serve alcohol now! It’s yummy. Go check it out.
Went with my wife for a quick bite. They have a full bar now, which is excellent. I got the cherry bourbon highball and chicken sandwich. They were both amazing. The bartender and staff are great too.
This is a cute little tea and a snack cafe owned by a mother son duo. We came here to try their delicious sandwiches that my husband I’ve been eyeing for a while but instead ended up getting the shezuan popcorn chicken the fries and the spicy coleslaw because all of a sudden he realised that he was vegetarian. Anyway, the owner served us and he was really nice and explained everything in a lot of detail shared how he had 16 years of a bartending experience and was excited to launch their cocktail selection. They had a lot of great cocktail options. I ended up getting the jade Tiger which was a very interesting drink and I really liked it. I enjoyed the popcorn chicken although I’m not sure if that’s something that I will be doing again it was kinda hot and spicy as the name suggest but not very salty my husband delighted his fries and coleslaw as part of his vegetarianism. Overall, it was a cute café and a grade for a casual laid-back date.
An absolute 💯 great service and the horchata drink is bomb. 😋 yummy food! Ill definitely be back! My new to go place!

Found this little gem in this plaza near Chinatown in houston. The ube smoothie was amazing! The food great too. Good portion sizes and lots of good flavors. That chicken sandwich & OG burger is 🔥🔥🔥
The staff at Atcha were super helpful as soon as we walked through the door. They were patient while my fiance and I were looking through their menu to decide what we wanted. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing! We ended up getting a third drink when we saw they had an alcoholic menu. I cannot recommend this place enough.
The food is so good. I had a Szechuan style hot chicken sandwich that SLAPPED. Their cocktails are very unique. The owner made me a winter melon old fashioned which wasn’t on the menu yet but he did it anyway because I said I loved winter melon. The owner and staff are all super nice. It was a very comfortable place to just hangout at. Definitely check it out!
Chill place to get drinks and food. Drinks came out quickly, very tasty, and refreshing! They stand out from the other boba places around with their unique drinks and fresh method of juicing. Highly recommend this shop! I love the Shadow Gold and Ginger Green Tea Lemonade.
We had a great experience at Atcha last Sunday! We started with the Szechuan style hot popcorn chicken, it was delicious, and we almost wished we had ordered another one, but we had more food coming. I had the horchata cocktail and the birria beef noodle soup. The cocktail was amazing, and the beef in the soup was super tender and flavorful. My husband had the Bebop Eggs Sammy and a burger with caramelized onions and avocado, both of which were also delicious. The bartender and the owner were so welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. Everything we tried was full of flavor, and we can’t wait to come back to try more dishes!

Spot on that they have many matcha fusion so I decided to give it a try. Turned out, it is very interesting combination: matcha ginger beer; matcha yuzu. I do love popping topping than regular tapioca balls (boba), they have plenty of popping options. Both drinks I ordered - good and refreshment. Wanna come back to try their food, seem like yummy too!
Edit: Got myself a Matcha Rose Latte around $7. 4/5 can taste matcha with a hint of rose. Will raise a star. I think the owner came to check if the drinks I bought were good but other than that, okay place. The area is pretty small, about 36 people can sit down. Aesthetics is 4/5 not a lot happening just nice props. The service at the front is 5/5 helped me get a recommendation on drinks, showed me what drink is preferable, and additional toppings. Got a HK Metro with cake foam. $7.57 a bit expensive in my opinion. The drink just tasted weird just from the recommendation. 2/5 Couldn’t really finish had to sip a few at a time. Decent, foamy, taste like a soda, but the service I’ll add a star. Probably will order what other people bought from reviews and see for myself. Overall, 4/5. Would I come back again with friends/family? Only if they recommend this place again and I try a different drink that’s around $5.
I came here for the first time in July and I just revisited yesterday, I have to say I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer from now on. The service for a fast casual hippie-chic Taiwanese restaurant exceeded my expectations! I ordered a Hot Chicken Sammy (Szechuan Style) only and for some reason the Cashier working the shift misheard me and rang me up for Spicy Popcorn Chicken instead. I didn't pay much attention either to the price difference until someone brought my food to me. When I realized it was not the chicken sammy, I immediately returned it to the counter to see whether there was a mix-up. Turns out she hit the wrong button and undercharged me. The owner himself came out to apologize to me in person and told me they are working on making my Hot Chicken Sammy stat and not to worry about paying extra. Needless to say they are very honest with running their business here and I appreciate their efforts to go above and beyond to ensure I had a good dining experience! The verdict on the HOT/Spicy Szechuan Chicken Sammy is it's mouthwatering good!! I ate a full serving of popcorn chicken beforehand and I was still drooling when they brought out the Sammy! The heat is actually very mild to my palate, for comparison purposes Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich is definitely spicier. I've also had the salt and pepper fries before and both the popcorn chicken and fries come with a side of Sriracha Mayo. The drinks are ok but very expensive in my opinion. I've only had the yakult green tea and it's very refreshing on a hot summer day and pairs well with any of the spicy menu items. Highly recommend trying out the Hot Chicken Sammy more than anything else!! One star off because the seating area is very limited in capacity and the vibe here is sleepy chill...
The chicken sandwich is humongous! It's spicy and super juicy, very delicious. The waffle fries are tasty, they come with atcha sauce, but the salt n peppa and hot fries have a strong pepper smell. The stray cat drink and jade tiger drink are so good, get it every time! Been there three days in a row now 😂 Update: came back after not being here for awhile and the drinks are a bit different than I remember, got the stray cat like usual and it taste so overwhelmingly of ginger and the top is kind of messed up
We stopped for smoothies and tea drinks originally but smoothie options were limited we managed with some modifications to a mangonada and got my passion fruit Jasmin tea fix. We ended up adding the hot mess waffle fries and they were pretty good and filling that we couldn't finish it. We will probably be back to try more food and snack items. Decor was nice but gave the atmosphere a 2 star because the place felt congested and needed more air flow or lower temp setting
Stopped by At Cha yesterday while I was in the area and craving chicken. The place had good reviews, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Hot Mess Fries, the Teriyaki Mayo Japadog, and a Strawberry Iced Tea. The tea was delicious, but the food was just okay...nothing I’d come back for. None of the food was hot, just warm, which was disappointing. Fries that aren’t hot and crispy are already a miss, and the chicken on top, while juicy, wasn’t hot or crispy either. Some pieces were overly moist, almost undercooked. Overall, the meal would have been much better if everything had been served fresh and hot. The space itself is cozy and comfortable. It’s a nice spot if you’re just looking to grab a drink and light snack and not expecting much in the food department. In my opinion, this place seems more drink-focused than food-focused.
Not quite Taiwanese flavor! You see the basil leaves (if those were actually Thai basil lol), but you don't taste the basil flavor - it was quite strange to me. Thai basil leaves typically would not be flat like this when fried! The Szechuan popcorn chicken was juicier than the Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The milk tea was just ok (somewhat diluted and syrupy taste), so I wouldn't go back for it. The sandwich was very good - big and juicy. However, at the amount that they charge for a sandwich right now and the kind of items that they offer, some other restaurants will easily distract me and get me to go elsewhere. Maybe I'm just not quite their target consumer.
Overall Amazing experience, food was super flavorful and the vibe was great from chatting to the staff about anime to the gentlemen next to us playing card games, the entire experience was great. Only complaint is the price, for the portion size its a bit on the expense side, however as a treat I would recommend this as a great spot, they also do cocktails for the more adventurous type :P

I went here because I saw a outdoor event in the front and went to see what this place was about. It is a drink place that features flavoured ginger beer. If you like that stuff great. I ordered the strawberry ginger beer (5.75) if had a good amount of strawberry syrup in it, but while the sharpness of ginger was present. I didn't taste any ginger. My friend ordered the Stray Cat (sweet cherry lime soda) (5.75). He stopped drinking it after the first few sips. I asked what was wrong, he said the limes were too bitter. So I have to give this a mixed rating. While I do like ginger beer it not my first choice for refreshment.
We have been here before, but, this time we were really disappointed. The spicy chicken barely had a kick to it although it was moist and cooked well. We also got the rose matcha and jasmine milk tea - both were very sugary and did not have good flavor. Overall, food was a lot worse than previous times we’ve been here. Plus there was a bad smell so didn’t feel like staying for long.
