Preguntas frecuentes sobre El Molino
Opiniones de El Molino Benavides
Best authentic Mexican take-out in Orange County. Tortillas are made fresh there. The chile relleno burrito is my go to but everything they make is excellent. Try the champorado (Mexican hot chocolate) on a cold winter day. It's a favorite with the locals for over thirty years -- that's all you need to know.
Another great visit to this spot These were good: Ceviche tostada Mahi mahi taco Breakfast taco combo: Taco enchilada, Mboth chicken
One of our favorite local spots. We often grab El Molino Del Oro for our recording studio sessions, and everyone loves it — especially having both great food and bakery options in one place.
I have been coming here for years for tortillas and food. Authentic Mexican food and a favorite with the locals. Large portions at good prices. Inside and outside eating areas.
El Molino De Oro is the ultimate go-to spot for authentic Mexican flavors! From their fresh pan dulce and handmade tortillas to their tacos and burritos packed with flavor, everything hits the spot. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous, and the prices are just right. Plus, nothing beats pairing your meal with their delicious café de olla. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, and every visit feels like home. If you want true flavor, El Molino De Oro is where it’s at—absolutely addictive! 🔥
Malee, she loves this place, because it always has fresh food, very good taste, very good price. Fresh, clean waters, very nice girls and boys and some weird, but very nice to attend everyone in a good attitude. The place is always clean, I would only recommend that you clean your tables a little more. But I know they have too much demand for people, this place is very fresh, it is very clean, it has competitive prices. Their food is very tasty, their fresh waters very delicious and bread excellent. I recommend them.
This is one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants, taste is authentic.the 3 leches cake is delicious. But, Sep/6/2025 today I left my purse, phone, wallet at the chairs got home and realized I left it behind, drove back and ask for my purse, one of the ladies in the kitchen saw it and ask to be saved for me for when I show up to ask for it. I just felt like I had my people show up for me. Thank you so much for being trust worthy.
So good. Taco shop style with great selection and great price. I will definitely return. Yeah the lines are a little long but that’s because the food is delicious. Only took about 15 minutes to get to the front and they prepared it in front of you like chipotle. It is delicious. Go there! I got a burrito and all the tamales.
Every time im around is a must stop i have to make. Their chicharron, chile verde burritos are some of my favorites. The customer service is amazing and they try not to make you wait. The bakery and pan dulce are great too, never disappointed.
I usually do not like to stand in lines, but it is worth the wait here. On a Sat at noon I waited about 20 min. Probably less on other days and times. I love the breakfast burrito with machaca beef wet with verde sauce. It is not fancy assembling most dishes from steam table and griddle, but it is consistently tasty.
Authentic Mexican food with huge portions and great prices. The mole chicken was our favorite dish and is a must try. The carne asada fries were amazing and loaded with meat. And the beef sope was delicious and also large. We also tried the crispy chorizo & potato tacos, (2) for $2.49, crunchy, spicy and cheesy, again delicious.
Was on my way back home from Tijuana and decided to stop in and get a bite for the road. I'm glad we did. I ordered the combination plate (#6) . It came with 4 taquitos de res (you choose the meat) with rice and beans. Btw, the rice and beans were absolutely delicious. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. I even ordered a mangoneada off of their frozen cocktail specials. 👍 I absolutely recommend this place.
This place serves up the best breakfast burrito in San Juan Capistrano! Eggs, beans, cilantro, onion, cheese, red or green sauce, and the choice of one other item! I always get the potato with it and the red sauce! It’s so good! Go check it out if you are looking for an amazing breakfast burrito! Careful though other people have figured this out too as the line can get long on the weekends!
This is my favorite place for quality true Mexican food in the area! My favorite thing is the Breakfast Burito with green sauce with a splash of red sauce and chicken macha with onion and cilantro. One note with getting their sauces. Their green is very mild but their red is sweating hot, so take that into consideration.
Use to go to El Molino all the time back in the 90s. Great memories of all the good food. Came a long ways from out of town only to find they closed 30 minutes before their listed closing time. Just wanted to grab a burrito real quick, so disappointed.
I tried every meat on the menu for tacos and they were bland but one which was el pastor. The carne asada was not Asada, it was more like boiled and the simi fried. I wonder why this place has 5 stars in some reviews. The reason I like to review food places is because I dont want others to feel like it was waste of their money.
Every time we go to San Juan Capistrano - Mission Basilica we come to this bakery for their Pan Dulce, when I asked how much and the lady told me Quatro Otchenta but they over charged me for 3 Pan Dulce, 1 M&M cookie and a Croissant. They punched 10 Pan Dulce for $9.50, instead of what I have on my tray! I didn’t check my receipt until I was home already!
I was really disappointed with the level of customer service here. When I called to place an order, the staff came across as rude and unhelpful, and I wasn’t even given a pickup time. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Everyone makes you feel unwelcomed they lagg in all aspects of customer service and even give you cold food.
I love their bread there, my hubby brought me some Tacos and a tamale but after eating two Tacos that were meh. I found a long curly black hair underneath my third taco. 🤢🤮🤮 I have medium length brown straight hair so definitely not mine. Disgusting!!! I would definitely not recommend this place. STAY AWAY!!!!
