My favorite bar in the neighbourhood for a warm cozy whiskey night with a friend or date. Always end up leaving with great memories and occasionally new friends owing to the intimate setting and inevitable striking up of conversations across the bar. The ricotta dip with bread is an excellent accompaniment to whiskey or hard liquor

Very divvy, stop by for a quick happy hour. They serve no food but are not opposed to you bringing in some from other restaurant. I sat outside had few glasses of there white wine for happy hour, it was dead inside but i like to think it’s a happening place at night

This was my first whiskey tasting and I can’t wait to go back. They started me off with the sweet whiskey compared to the Smokey for my first time and boy did I love it. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable and helped me understand the history of the different types of whiskey. I will be back.

Update Feb 2019: **No more food!** They sadly got rid of their food menu and only have olives and almonds now. Huge bummer! Same great whiskey selection though. UWS neighborhood gem! Really glad to have an authentic place for quality scotch on the upper west. Attended a free tasting hosted by Aberlour here this summer, and it was awesome. Aberlour rep was super knowledgeable and gave us plenty of history and context on each of 3 varieties. Tip: Follow Caledonia UWS on Facebook to get updates about tastings. I also can't say enough good things about the staff and the food. My group got the grilled cheese, burger, fried chicken sandwich, and the scotch egg pork sausage appetizer, and all got rave reviews. Ample portions of thick cut fries (little too salty in my opinion but still good) on the side too, for the burger and chicken sandwich. Love that this location serves real food (unlike the UES one). There's a decent number of bar seats, a couple high top tables and a couple low tables in the back, and it's not hard to find a table on a weeknight. Will definitely be back! Update: best fish and chips I’ve found in the city!! Normally $18 but go at happy hour (5-7pm) and it’s $10 fish and chips.

Great whiskey selection (300+ advertised). Knowledgeable bartender. Casual atmosphere, and no TV!! Food quality takes away from the overall rating.

Espresso Martini - 2/5 Nice and cold shaken, but not much flavor. Good foam. NO BEANS. Would not order this Espresso Martini again.
