Opiniones de Nom Nom Banh Mi Berkeley
Stopped in here before a concert with my partner and was excited to have bahn mi. This was one of the best bahn mi’s I’ve ever had, delicious, fresh, and the bread was perfect. A plus was the lychee iced tea and lemonade made in house, and their new offer of fresh spring rolls. 10/10 will be coming again!
From traditional Banh Mi to a California (bacon & avocado!), this great little shop on Telegraph is full of delicious food, great people watching, and friendly staff. Today I tried the Vietnamese coffee and noticed the subtext on the menu, "Sweet and strong, just like the Vietnamese lady who brews it!" <3
The tofu pagoda and basil seed drink are my go to order. The owner is kind. I do wish there was a bathroom or water station for guests.
I absolutely love this place. The sandwiches are hefty and always leave me full. They have a variety of different sandwiches and the owners are very kind. They always greet me and you can tell they take so much pride in their business. Check them out and get a tasty sandwich. You can't go wrong. Pictured: The California (Fixings w/ 2 eggs and consists of Bacon and Avocado.)
i had the popular chicken banh mi, it was really good and reasonably priced! i would definitely come here again.
A great banh mi place in the heart of Cal Berkekey!! Great vibes with fresh ingredients....I tried the sardine banh mi and it was absolutely DELICIOUS!! A must to get!!

The pagoda tofu Bahn Mi was delicious! The bread was soft and just the right amount of crunchy. The tofu itself was well seasoned the pickled veggies were refreshing. The basil seed drink was a little sweeter than I would like but quite nice.
My first time trying Banh Mi (the grilled chicken), and I was not disappointed. I ordered online and the restaurant was fast with the order. The bread was crisp with a good bread to filling ratio. Overall, no complaints, will be coming again!
Ban mi's were delicious! We got one grilled chicken with extra pickles and one lemongrass beef. The size is great for the price. The drinks were also great-vietnamese coffee and lychee iced tea. Would definitely recommend!!!
OMG so flavorful and authentic! This is the real deal. Typical Berkeley sandwich prices, so don't expect a $2 sandwich, more like $8-10, but worth it. Bread is so fresh and flavorful, with just the right crispness to the crust. Excellent homemade pickles and strong iced coffee.
I cannot recommend this little gem of a sandwich shop highly enough! This is the real deal! I love that they have a vegan option! the sandwiches are huge, with fresh, beautiful fillings artfully arranged and piled high! The Vietnamese coffee is strong and delicious! And the basil seed water. ..wow! I'd never even heard of it, but I'd go back for that alone!
Loved eating here. Owner is very nice and welcoming, straight to the point. On top of that the food here is absolutely delicious. Recommend their grilled chicken sandwich. Perfection ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Got a bánh mì chả lụa (they call it a district 3 ? lol) and it was good! Normal and what you expect from a banh mi shop. What’s interesting about this place is their very lavish colorful names based off of areas of Saigon and other places in Vietnam for what would otherwise be pretty normal banh mis so it was a bit funny as a Vietnamese person but yeah. I also got the coffee which was quite good. Prices though… I mean it is Berkeley what can I say.

Ordered 3 combo 1 chicken They really went light on the ingredients on the combo sandwiches. Not good for a place that specializes in bah mi. Won't be back
In brief, Nom Nom makes a thoroughly average banh mi. Though the bread is nicely fresh, the veggies are too sour and do not speak to the naturally fresh flavor found in cheaper Vietnamese sandwich shops throughout the Bay Area. I was initially excited by the copies of Nom Nom’s history and mission statement spread throughout the restaurant, but found the food did not match these lofty goals. Do NOT get the Vietnamese coffee. Though I normally love the robust flavor of Vietnamese coffee, the cup that I received was both small and incredibly sour.
The banh mi is terrible. Dry bread and very few filling
Lady got mad at me for asking if a cup on the counter was for customers to take and then resentfully gave me the smallest cup of water. Maybe if you have a system for water you want customers to know, make a sign? Pretty weird to not have self serve water at a fast casual place like this, everyone else on the block seems to have figured it out. Egg banh mi was good though edit: the owner replied with some untruthful info. I'll leave it up to y'all to decide.

Look at this meat!!!! It's so thin. The sandwich is 90% veggies. Thick football bready bites. Worse banh mi I've ever had

That was the worst banh mi restaurant ever. I don't know how they've gotten 4 stars. The banh mi I ordered had barely anything in it. There were 1.5 slices of meat, tiny amount of carrots and filling. Now that I look at the pictures on this review. That's not what I got. That was a waste of money when there are tons of other great restaurants around. I've been to Vietnam and ate many banh mi and this place is a poor excuse of a restaurant. It's probably a front shop. The woman who worked there and made my banh mi was extremely rude. I didn't get any napkins when I asked her she got upset and with attitude laid the napkins on the counter. I've had other banh mi, that were more affordable, delicious and had way way more meat and fillings. May they go out of business soon. And may that woman who works there drops the attitude towards the customers who ask for banh mi and napkins. This place is a waste of time, money and experience there are way more better foodie place around.
Very rude and nasty attitude from one of their workers here. I see now from other reviews it might be the owner who’s just rude and nasty. I had paid for extra meat on their bacon banh mi and saw them only placing one and I asked and they gave me a rude reply that there was already extra. Mind you I experienced this a previous time and asked, didn’t curse, wasn’t rude, I said this happened last time too there wasn’t extra meat and the person snapped at me and called me cheap. Only one single piece of bacon was there when I came back home and checked. They are rude and stingy with their portions, doesn’t even taste like authentic Vietnamese food. Come here if you are desperate for rude and entitled service, lackluster flavor and miserable portions (even after adding $$ extra).
