Preguntas frecuentes sobre Vietnam House
Opiniones de Vietnam House Berkeley
Genuinely, everything I got was good. We’re visiting from NYC and now I gotta go tell them there’s major competition! Bread in the banh mi was perfect, all the grilled meat was perfectly grilled and not even remotely dry, everything was fresh, house made sriracha and chili sauce. Best sea salt creme coffee I’ve had in years. Very friendly service, they even offered free ube ice cream which I ended up buying because it was so good!!
100% I’ll be back for more! 🙌🏻 This is the best beef pho I’ve ever had in the Bay! The broth is rich and full of flavor, and the beef meatballs, with their tender bits of tendon🤩👏🏻 The combination sandwich is incredible too, every bite transports me to authentic Vietnam. And avocado smoothies made with fresh fruit, they’re absolutely delicious!😍
The atmosphere of this restaurant is incredible. I walked in and felt like I was in Vietnam. And on top of that, the food was incredible and came very quickly. The prices are reasonable and definitely my favorite Vietnamese place in Berkeley. They have a little bungalow that I would like to nap in after I finish this delicious food. Definitely come.
Chicken banh mi and beef pho were great! This is now my favorite Vietnamese place in the area, and best banh mi I’ve had in a long time.
One of the most delicious pho I’ve ever had in Bay Area. The broth is very rich and tasty.

I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! The beefball they made is literally the best I have ever had in the USA for 10 years! It tastes exactly like 潮汕 beefball from my hometown and I have never tasted that in the US ever before!!! Their Vietnamese coffee is also spectacular. The sandwiches are mediocre but still! The owner and staff are all Vietnamese. You have to try this place. The price is also super affordable.
Very similar to the atmosphere of Little Saigon and nostalgic interiors. Got two Combination Pho for dine-in and was served with two paper bowls and takeout utensils. Broth was light and flavorful with lots of meat and a heaping portion of noodles. Kind staff, will go again when feeling homesick for Vietnamese food.
It was pretty quiet and quite spacious and homey. The server took the time to check up on me at their kiosk. The chicken banh mi and pineapple fruit tea that I had was delicious. They have water chestnut popping boba and even korean corn dogs. Total recommend
Excellent service and good food! I love the ambience of the place and the tiny details that make it feel more authentic.
Got a grilled pork banh mi and combo banh mi to go. Both were really good (and at a good price), and the two women working at the time were really nice. Gonna come back at some point to try some of the other dishes, like pho and a rice plate
Tasty Viet food for a quick bite. Also great drinks and desserts at a competitive price compared to other places nearby. The family working here is super sweet!
My favorite Viet place in Berkeley. Their pho is great and so are their mango smoothie and Vietnamese coffee
Very kind and very quick service. Probably some of the best pho I’ve had in Berkeley and it’s pretty reasonably priced too.
Underrated. U shall come…

I'm not sure where the 5 star reviews are coming from, but from my singular experience at Vietnam House, the food is not good. Just round the corner and eat at the other Vietnamese place. It's better. We took a chance with a new restaurant in town, and it was a mistake and frankly, kind of an expensive one for all its disappointments. We ordered the combination pho. The noodles were probably pre-cooked and re-heated, thus overcooked and mushy. This was initially evidenced by the clumping that happens with re-heated noodles. There was no spring to what one should expect from freshly made pho rice noodles. The soup lacked depth and was at best pho flavored water. The portion size is good, but what's the point if the food is not. We also ordered the spring rolls, and I would also doubt their freshness. The shrimp in the rolls were ice cold, and the sauce came in a clear plastic container for take-out that clearly had been in the fridge right before, as that too was ice cold (for context, we dined in; the issue is not with the container rather that it was disappointing as a dining experience to receive ice cold dipping sauce). As a heads up, you order, pay, and tip before you sit down at a table to receive your order. Perhaps if you're really inclined to give the place a try, tip afterwards after you gauge how things are. The service was fine-- kiosk, food to your table-- nothing beyond that. And, re: the atmosphere, the music choice is slowed down, severely auto-tuned or perhaps AI generated renditions of Christmas songs. Take that warning as you will.
Seafood wasn't fresh and I found a bandaid in my pho. Made for a rough night.
