Ordered a carnitas burrito. The tortilla was nice and fresh. It had lots of meat. Beans were real tasty. Salsa was on point. Green was tasty and not too spicy. Red was spicy and had a nice smoky flavor. They make it while you wait real fast. Not much seating though. This is real Mexican food!!!

This Authentic little gem is easy to miss but do yourself a favor and don't pass this place up! It's a non assuming, no frills "hole in the wall" but the food is amazing! Its not the kind of place you go to for the atmosphere, it's the kind of place you go to for authentic, home-made, delicious food. Hubby and I ordered a Carne Asada and Caritas burrito and they were the best burritos we have had in a very long time. It's hard to find burritos made right and this place nailed it! Tip: Don't pass on the red chile (located in beverage cooler on the bottom) the flavor is awesome with only a hint of spice. My husband can't handle any kind of spice and was able to eat it. This is definitely our go to Mexican spot.

Talk about hole in the wall! This is that type of place that can't fit more than 10 or 15 people inside. Amazingly delicious food and the portions are generous. If you're in town town looking for something delicious, quick, priced fairly and will leave you full, this is the spot!

This place is legit! The menu is simple but there’s a lot of options, including enchiladas, tacos, and various plates. Portion sizes are generous and the food is hearty and tastes great. They’re open later than some other restaurants and you can tell that the workers care about giving you a good meal. And definitely load up on the red salsa - hot, smoky, and really brings the dishes together!

LOVE this restaurant. They're our local Mexican restaurant. We come here all the time. We mostly order to go. They're very quick. We mostly get burritos but everything from here is great. Big portions. Consistently delicious. The woman there is always friendly and kind. Been a customer for years. I will be for life.

I have been going here for the past 15+ years! The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The restaurant is counter service of authentic Mexican food and prepared right before your very eyes. The beans are SO good. My absolute #1 meat I always get in my tacos, El Pastor and top it off with their guac! Cilantro and onion, yum! Great kid options on the menu. House made green and red salsas to-go. Decor is very comforting and low-key. You can tell a lot of stories to be told with their photos on the wall. Comfortable booths to enjoy your meal or take it to-go.

Tacos de Tripa (tripe tacos) they were so good best I've had anywhere. They put plenty on you tacos and the best partner to these tacos was a Bomb Medio Litro Coca Cola.

This is my favorite for burritos they are huge and custom made ! Family owned and operated, clean and friendly. A must if you want authentic Mexican food, dine in or to go !

I had the chicken enchilada plate. The food tasted good and was healthy, so I was happy with my meal. The service was fast and friendly. Prices seemed reasonable. Seating was above average for this type of restaurant. The food was served on a disposable plate.

Well I went here two days in a row so it must be good. We had carne asada tacos, carnitas enchilada and bean and cheese burritos for the kids. Great tasting, good value. Seemed like the portions were slightly smaller on the second day. Definitely recommend.

This is a very basic restaurant as far as atmosphere, there are four tables inside. It seems to be mostly take out. My wife had a Chile Rellano that she says one was of the best she has ever had anywhere, she also loved the refried beans. I had a carnitas torta that was very good and generously sized. The service was friendly and efficient. We will be back here next time that we return to Big Bear.

Just finished a job and found this place and decided to try it. It has great view of part of the lake. Fresh flowers on the tables, with good vibes.

I like this place a lot, but it's not the kind of place you have an anniversary or bring a client you want to impress. More like where you get a satisfying meal after a day of skiing or yard work (or if you do construction, lunch here is great!). Staff is always friendly, the flavors are great, and the food is a great value.

Large portions and good food. The owner and the ladies working there are very friendly and happy to assist with any needs you may have. The place is a kind of old but it's what we expected. Will definitely stop by to get a bite to eat when we're in the area.

We go out for Mexican food at least three or four times a week so it is hard to find anything that really stands out. The food was pretty good and I did enjoy my taquitos. Only problem is the portions versus the price which is I guess the problem with about everything today. I thought their prices were just way too high, especially for the portions . $18 for a bowl of menudo is just ridiculous. The chile relleno burrito tasted pretty good even though it was quite small. Be prepared to spend about $40 per couple for lunch. That still might not be enough to fill you up.

I dont normally do negative reviews. But I had to toss my california burrito that cost almost $20. The guac was really just chopped onion. Thr entire burritto was 80% onion. There was no avacado. The carne asada tasted like carnitas. The tortilla tasted stale. It was the worst burrito of my life 😒

Ordered a burrito & Mexican Coke $23, steep!

I have tried two burritos from this place. One was OK and the other one was terrible. Here are my problems we this business. They use cheap processed items in their food like bagged cheese and canned chicken which had no flavor. They make you wear masks. They prepare the food in grouted, germ filled tile. The business looked rather dirty but the worst problem were the prices. 27$ for two burritos. After looking at the menu I saw Many of the items were very expensive. I will go elsewhere for my mexican food.

If I could this place wood get no stars. I order steak and it didn't taste like a steak Burritos. My best friend order tacos but she didn't every like hers. They had no flavored in them. We ended up throwing them away. We are never going there again.

First and foremost, the prices were too high , but we didn't hesitate to buy... Until the man in the front took our order . I promise we are never going back ! He was bring a smart mouth and body language was lazy. We are visitors here in big Bear, instead we went to the Mexican diner La Paws where the service was amazing!

Far and away the worst burrito I've ever had. The price was insultingly high and the size of the burrito could not make up for the lack of flavor. If you'd like to pay $17 for a burrito go anywhere else and you'll get your money's worth.

Overpriced. $18 enchilada plate. Sloppy burrito came apart and spilled out the end. No table service. Beans too salty. Paper plates. No complimentary chips and salsa. Plasticware. No AC. Cash or 4% card fee.

I just spent 47 dollars on 2 quesadillas with just rice and beans…no drinks or anything. She made quesadilla directly on old tile counter, which was concerning. Honestly for worn down interior and average food, price seems wild
